The Doctor woke up from her well-deserved slumber, but was still looking to rest for a while. She washed herself and got herself dressed, replacing the shawl and sweater she dumped on a ship that sank into the Mediterranean Sea in 1384. The shawl was in a Christmassy pattern, and for good reason: her next stop was Sunderland during the Christmas season, as a promise she made to Jessica Burgess, a companion she left a few hours before she slept. "Alright, good friend." she said to the TARDIS, "Time for Christmas!" She warmed the TARDIS up and began to travel.

Jessica Burgess resided in 94 Galashiels Road, near the border between Grindon and Pennywell. The plan? To go to the town with her mother Josephine and her brother Phineas to see the annual wrestling show that takes place at the Point: Slamming for Santa, a charity professional wrestling event. She wasn't a big fan of that industry, but her brother certainly was. The tickets to the Point were her gift to him.
The Burgess family was ready to drive to town. "You got your seatbelts on, kids?" Josephine asked.
"Mum, I'm in my thirties." Jessica replied, "I know how to keep safe already."
"I wouldn't have to keep reminding youse if you moved out."
"Yes, we got our seatbelts on." Phineas replied.
"Good. Now, I don't want you to act like arses. Got it?"
"Got it." the siblings said in unison.
"Good." Josephine started the car and began driving. The trio were ready to enjoy some light-hearted entertainment.

The TARDIS materialised outside of the Point. It was early in the day and she read that Slamming for Santa was one wrestler short. Much like Jessica, the Doctor wasn't much of a fan of sport, but unlike Jessica, she liked professional wrestling, as she liked the mixture of athletics and theatre that comes with it. She came inside and met the receptionist. "Excuse me, good sir." she began, "I'm here to apply for Slamming for Santa."
"In what role?" the receptionist replied.
"As a wrestler."
"Well, you're lucky, because one of our wrestlers dropped out. Personal issues. Sign here."
The Doctor signed in. "Where should I go?"
'The ring's already set up. It's in the main stage area."
After thanking the receptionist, the Doctor got to the main stage area, where a pair of wrestlers were practicing their spots. The Doctor noticed a woman who was decently muscular. She got beside her and watched the practice unfurl. "Who the hell are you?" the buff woman asked.
"I'm the replacement." the Doctor answered, "Name's the Doctor, by the-"
"Not your ring name, dumbarse! Your real name!"
"Sybil Mayer. I do prefer being called "Doctor," though."
"You're going to be a nuisance." the buff woman turned around and offered her hand to shake. "Name's Sandy. Sandy Stone."
The Doctor shook Sandy's hand. It was an oddly strong handshake. "With a name and strength like that, it's almost like you were born to wrestle."
"Yet your build showed that you weren't."
"Oh, I've done my fair share of shoot grapples in my life, I'm confident I can do worked ones as well."
"Really? Who trained you?"
"Hart."
"Hmph. Didn't know that you were trained by Bret Hart himself."
"Not Bret. Stu."
"Stu? You look a bit young to have gone through and graduated the Hart Dungeon."
"Trust me. I'm older than I look. I heard the person I'm replacing had some personal issues."
"Her mum died. She's attending a funeral today."
"Poor thing."
"Unfortunately, the show must still go on, even if that means you're he-"
"Sandy, you're up." one of the trainers said before looking at the Doctor, "Is she the replacement?"
"I am." The Doctor jumped into the ring. "Name's Sybil, but call me the Doctor."
"Nobody told you?"
"Nobody told me what, Sandy?"
"The person you're replacing was meant to play Krampus, and Sandy is meant to make you submit."
"I'm Krampus? Okay, I can work with that."
Sandy joined the Doctor and the trainer in the ring. "Alright, let's do our spots."
"Krampus, the first spot you're doing involves you jumping off the top turnbuckle." The Doctor jumped onto the top turnbuckle, ready to jump. "Sandy, lie near the corner." Sandy got to her spot while the trainer looked at the Doctor. "Krampus, do a move from the top rope." Simple enough. The Doctor went for the reliable elbow drop, only for Sandy to jump up and get the Doctor in a cutter. The Doctor knew to tuck in her chin to minimize the potential damage she could take, but she felt that the shoulder and left arm were harder than expected, almost like stone. She ended up rubbing her own chin. "Nice sell, Krampus!" the trainer said, not knowing that the Doctor was in actual pain.
"Hey, Kirk," Sandy replied, "I should get some credit for timing the Stonecutter so well."
"Alright, sorry. Next spot. Sandy. Krampus. Middle of the ring. Sandy, act groggy." Both the Doctor and Sandy got in the middle of the ring, Sandy pretending to be beaten down. "Krampus, do your finisher."
"Got it." the Doctor said before turning to Sandy, "Sandy, let me put you on my shoulders, face-up."
"We're not doing the Torture Track, are we?"
"No. Now get on." Sandy groggily let the Doctor put her on her shoulders. The Doctor was straining to keep her up. "Alright, Sandy. Rock your chin in!" The Doctor tossed Sandy to get left side and transitioned into a piledriver stance. The Doctor pinned Sandy and the referee counted, only for Sandy to kick out at the last second. "Burning Hammer. A modified move from the martial art I was mainly trained in: Aikido. Looks deadly, but safe in the right hands, like mine."
"Excellently executed. Now for the last spot. Danger position as before, but it's you that's groggy this time." The duo got back into the middle of the ring. "Sandy, your finisher." Sandy kicked the Doctor in the midsection and put her head in-between her legs, lifting the Doctor up for a powerbomb. Sandy jumped and dropped the Doctor down, pinning her for the three-count. "That was perfect. You two should rest, especially you, Krampus. You look like hell."
The two got out of the ring and got to the back to rest. "Sorry if I accidentally hurt you." Sandy said, "I try my best to be as gentle as I can be."
"Don't fret, you couldn't help it." the Doctor replied, "After all, you're not really a human, are you?"
