AN: Ooooooo, a FNAF Security Breach fanfic?! Who'd'a thunk I had it in me? In Celebration of our first glimpse of my precious baby boy Eclipse in the DLC, I present to you… this fucking thing. Enjoy!

When the Pizza Plex first opened, teenage Danni tried to pretend that she wasn't ecstatic. Fazbear Entertainment had been a staple, a cornerstone, of her life since she unearthed her grandmother's vintage "Freddy & Friends" VHS tapes when she was five.

For reasons she could never voice, Danni felt drawn to the characters on the screen. Freddy's optimism and confidence. Foxy's straightforward approach to problems that Danni would never dream of seeing herself confront. Bonnie's calculative nature and genuine care. Chica's ravenous appetite and pride in both herself and her friends.

For an only child like Danni, those characters on that old box TV at her grandparent's house were like the best friends she'd always wanted. She had friends, sure, but they never stayed. Once she left the school building, she knew that she wouldn't be hearing from them until the next time to bell rung.

But Freddy & Friends were always there. Their adventures watched so many times, Danni had entire episodes memorized, line for line.

Her "friends" at school never understood. Called her weird for liking that "ugly, stupid, 240p garbage".

As she grew, so did the Fazbear franchise. And then, the Pizza Plex was built. From ages 13 to 18, Danni spent every birthday, graduation, and anniversary at the Pizza Plex. At some point, she found that she knew the layout of the entire building better than even the employees.

When her college plans crashed and burned alongside her parents in the car wreck, Danni turned to the one thing that'd always been there for her.

She picked up her laptop and filled out the application.

She would be a security guard.

The hours were long, the pay likely illegal, and the safety standards were definitely not being met. But Danni didn't mind.

At least this way, her lonely days in an empty house would be over.

All her friends would be here, after all.

Three Years Later

Danni's worry for the animatronics grew more pronounced as the days went by. More and more often were her friends being sent to Parts and Service for "malfunctions." More and more often were they returning… different. Their steps a little too mechanical. The spark that drove them to bring joy to children slowly dimming. Their performances were as flawless as ever, but Danni could tell something was wrong.

Roxy has had three break downs in just as many days. What used to be pride in taking up Foxy's mantle as the driven, decisive member of the band has warped into overconfidence masking a mountain of insecurities. Her drive to be the best, usually her best quality, was slowly getting out of hand for no apparent reason.

Roxy used to let Danni brush her fur whenever she arrived at work early for a night shift. Danni used to be the only security guard Roxy would encourage to watch over the rooms where she held birthday parties. As things are right now, Roxy isn't letting any of the staff near her "fans". She barely tolerates the parents. Like she's scared someone would steal her spotlight.

Chica spent more time in the kitchen eating trash than any of the actual food. (Even though one could argue that there wasn't really much of a difference.) The confidence she used to carry herself with was slowly washed away with every reboot. No longer did she talk to Danni about the joy on the children's faces as she performed, or how she helped get a kid unstuck when they wedged themselves between the panels of her maze. Unlike Roxy, who personality was being twisted, Chica's was being actively wiped. There was no nuance to what she said anymore. It was the same voice lines over and over again.

"Who wants candy?!" "Our friendly Security Staff can help!" "Pizza!"

Danni missed the days where Chica knew she was her friend, not just some security guard.

And Monty…

Monty had never been the same since the Bonnie incident. He doesn't visit Bonnie Bowl like he used to. Doesn't ask the staff how he can improve his performance to "be just like Bonnie!" Where his steps used be carefully controlled as he made his way around the golf course helping children with their swings, he now stomps everywhere, damn near breaking tile as he makes his way from one room to the next. His room is almost always trashed, like a man desperate to get out ever ounce of aggression before he has to handle fine china in order to assure himself that he would loose control and break something again. The mechanics don't do anything to reign him in, either. Orders from up top, they say. The violence and destruction keeps the young boys entertained.

He doesn't smile anymore. Danni misses that the most.

The only one not currently on the fritz was Freddy.

Danni has lost any hope that this fact will remain a constant.

At least she could relax a bit, now that she was scheduled to patrol near the Daycare. With how that place was run and who ran it, every security guard knew that shifts on this side of the Pizza Plex were smooth sailing, with the only issues coming from the adults rather than the children.

The Daycare attendant was not an animatronic she grew up watching on the screen, but she quickly came to love them all the same. They were one of the most unique friends she had. If she was any less than a great friend who cared for every animatronic equally, she'd damn near say they were her favorite. Toting not just one but three separate modes for entertaining and caring for the children, the daycare attendant had taken to their role in the Pizza Plex like a fish took to water.

Eclipse was at the helm, directing parents and children alike on the Daycare. He planned activities, handled the paperwork, monitored the facility for repairs, and basically ran the daycare. Whereas all the other facilities in the Pizza Plex had human employees, the Daycare was manned entirely by this singular animatronic. Sure, security guards made regular rounds in the area, being sure to check on the goings on when they did, but otherwise, Eclipse was the one who ran the show at the Daycare. He'd greet the parents and children, check the children in, and get them prepared and excited for their day under his care. When playtime finally rolled around, Eclipse would rest and Sundrop would take center stage.

Using the activities list Eclipse had made, Sundrop would play with the kids to kingdom come. There were areas for arts and crafts, gymnastics, and even a small door leading to a little playground outside if the animatronic decided the kids needed a bit of fresh air. His cheer was a tad overwhelming at times, but then again, so were the children he cared for. The padded walls, his maximum security access to all the cameras in the daycare, and his aerial rigging ensured that no child left the Daycare injured or unhappy. And once Sundrop had tired those toddlers out, they'd all lie down for a peaceful nap, watched over by Moondrop.

The Nap Room was probably the best maintained area in the entire Pizza Plex. That was how serious Moondrop took his job. He made sure that when those under his care were put to sleep, they were as comfortable and secure as possible. He'd sing lullabies, he'd build pillow forts, he's do just about anything to make sure that their nap time was not disturbed. Even by the very kids themselves. Some of the children the Daycare took in weren't… from the best of homes. Some were too scared to sleep, too mistrusting, too scarred. Despite it all, Moondrop was able to sooth them. Give them at least one place where they knew they'd have some peace. And when nightmares awoke them, before they could cry out and wake the others, he'd be right there to rock them back to sleep.

This was how the Daycare had always been run. One animatronic, three distinct duties to fulfill, all done expertly and with utter delight.

So when Danni heard a distressed cry of alarm from Sundrop as she passed by the Daycare, she dashed through the doors to find out what was wrong. Roxy's latest malfunction already had her on edge.

There on the ground, curled up armadillo style, scratching desperately at his face in a clear display of pain, was Sun. The toddlers gathered around him with concern, not knowing why their friend was acting this way. And while it may have been a trick of the light, the ever present smile on his face looked strained, like he would be frowning had he had the ability to.

Rushing over the the prone animatronic, gently and calmly directing the children to back away a bit and give her space, Danni knelt beside the now shuddering animatronic.

"Sun, what's wrong?" She asked, placing her hand on his shoulder.

"Snack time, it's snack time. Lights are dim, they're dim! Why am I not We? The children need their snacks but I can't be Us! WHY?!"

Can't be Us?

"Wait, are your saying there's something wrong with Eclipse?"

"Yes, yes! Broken, broken, I am broken! I am Me when I need to be We. I don't give snacks, WE gives snacks. I play, He naps, We give snacks. The children are hungry, Danni-guard! What am I supposed to do?!"

The animatronic started scratching at his face plate again, trying desperately to tear at whatever was preventing him from changing, his bells playing a frantic melody as he clawed.

Danni reached forward to pry the animatronic's hands away from his face.

"Sundrop, calm down!" She said firmly, using the stern tone her mother once did whenever she needed attention. Immediately, Sun stopped. "We need to be calm, Sun. Now, I'm not sure what's happening, and it's obvious that you don't know either. But we can't crash while we've got people relying on us. There will no getting anything done while we have these kids to watch over."

Sundrop shot up like he'd been struck with lightning. He quickly turned to face the group of around twenty toddlers that had stood by to watch, unusually silent. "My friends, oh no! I can't believe I'd forgotten about you!"

He jumped forward, gathering as many of the children as he could in a group hug, the children going back to their usual loud selves at the return of their shiny yellow friend.

Danni took a moment to breath. Sun's childlike AI made distracting him very easy. What it didn't help with was figuring out what was happening. The animatronic knew rules. He knew games and activities and fun. But complex and forward thinking? Problem solving? That was more Eclipse's forte.

And according to Sun, Eclipse wasn't around anymore.

So, if those two were out of the question, maybe…

Turning to Sundrop and his gaggle of children, Danni asked, "Sun! If the kids can't get their snack just yet, why not let Moondrop get them to sleep so we'll have time to figure all this out?"

Moon might not be Eclipse, but his a fair bit more level headed than Sun.

"What a wonderful idea, Danni-guard! We sometimes schedules snack time after nap time, anyway!" Twirling exuberantly, Sun cheerfully proclaimed to the children, "It's time to sleep, everyone! To the Nap Room!"

Danni always felt a child-like whimsy whenever she got the chance to see the "costume-change" protocol in action.

As soon as Sundrop stepped over the threshold to the nap room, the sound dampening curtains closing behind him, the cloth of his outfit ruffled in a non-existent wind current. The bright yellow and bold red of his outfit seemed to be shaken out of the cloth, making way for a calming, deep blue dotted with stars. The shining tint in animatronic's face is replaced with a soft glow, and the left half of the face fades to a starry night sky with the eye serving as a bold white star in the midst. Even the bells, a constant no matter the transformation, have subtle changes that make each aspect of the daycare attendant unique. Where as Sun's bell jingle and ring with the call of fun and adventure, Moon's bells were like windchimes, with the sounds of a quite night outdoors. The sun rays surrounding the animatronic's face plate retract, making room for a little sleeping cap that Moondrop carefully places on his head before turning to monitor the toddlers as they make their way to their sleeping mats.

Obviously, this group of children have been here before. This should make the process easier. Danni needed to speak with Moon about Eclipse as soon as possible, but she knew better than to get in his way when he was putting the children to bed.

Moondrop made his way around the room, helping the toddlers settle in their bedrolls. His voice, a natural whisper given his primary function, flowed gently throughout the room as he began a lullaby for the toddlers who didn't fall asleep as soon as their head hit the pillows.

Days seem sometimes as if they'll never end
Sun digs its heels to taunt you
But after sunlit days, one thing stays the same
Rises the moon

Out of all the lullabies in Moon's catalog, this one was by far Danni's favorite. The slow, swaying melody paired with Moon's own calming, yet robotic voice was a match made in heaven. Danni could never understand how a corporation as corrupt and horrible as Fazbear Entertainment was able to imbue their creations with so much life.

Days pull you down just like a sinking ship
Floating is getting harder
But tread the water, child, and know that meanwhile
Rises the moon

By the time Moon was halfway through the song, the majority of the toddlers were snuggled up in their bedrolls, faces soft and smiling as they drifted peacefully in dream land. The only hold out, it seems, was the ebony skinned, curly haired little girl Moon carried in his arms as he made his rounds in the room. The pale yellow bracelet on her wrist designating her as a visually impaired "superstar," her stubborn wakefulness waned at every chime of Moon's bells. A familiar, comforting sound to her, lulling her to sleep.

You'll be visited by sleep
I promise you that soon the autumn comes
To steal away each dream you keep
Breathe, breathe, breathe

As the song came to a close, Danni fought the urge to fall asleep herself. When Moondrop began to tuck the little girl into her bedroll, Danni let out a quite sign of relief. They really lucked out with the batch of kids in the daycare today. None of them were the type to refuse naptime, causing Moon to have to spend the entire time quietly entertaining them with coloring books and stories.

Danni straightened as she saw Moon make his way over to her. As he tip-toed his way around the room one last time, Danni couldn't help but notice the subtle twitches of his head. A small jerk to the left, only to be suddenly righted. Two jerks to the right, righted once more. Like he was… glitching, or something.

That doesn't bode well…

Soon, Moon was standing right in front of her, and Danni realized she had no clue where she should even begin. Thankfully, Moondrop had things covered in that department.

"Eclipse is broken," He whispered, "So is Sun and Moon."

Danni let out another grateful sigh. He was aware of it.

"Yeah," she replied, quietly tip-toeing her way to the entrance of the nap room. Even thought the kids were already asleep, she didn't want to risk waking them should she get too loud during the conversation. She's often been told she looses her sense of volume when she gets excited or upset. No need to upset Moon when he was the one animatronic that would likely have answers. "Sun… Sun said he couldn't change into Eclipse. Do you know what might be wrong?"

Moon shook his head, he face plate jerking to the side again as he grabbed her hand. His other arm wrapped around her and held on tightly, mirroring the way some of his charges sought comfort. While Sun was coded with the base personality of a young child, and Eclipse with that of a responsible adult, Moondrop always seemed to land in that nebulas area that humans would label "teenager." He was functioning and cognizant enough to be in charge of and manage the Nap Room with little oversight or planning on Eclipse's part (unlike Sun), but he also had a penchant for biting back against authority. While this maneuver for seeking comfort was often used by Sundrop, it was rare for Moondrop to initiate physical contact with anyone not younger than seven.

Something was seriously wrong.

Danni pat his hand gently as he continued.

"Moon has run several diagnostics and scans on Moon's code, as well as those belonging to Sun and Eclipse. Moon was unable to find any error's or glitches in the code that needed to be repaired. Moon, too, is unable to activate the "Costume Change" protocol in order to access and initiate the personality of D.C. ."

"So there's no virus or anything messing with your code?"

"None that Moon's system's recognize. But Moon feels something wrong. Moon sees how Moon's code is different, but Moon does not know what has changed. It is like Moon's code has always been this way, but Moon knows it has not."

Danni stood in silence, thinking over what she just heard. "Are you noticing anything weird in Sun's or Eclipse's code?"

Moon shook his head. "The only code currently being effected is Moon's code. Moon is 99.98% certain Eclipse isolated the malfunction before it could spread. But in doing so, Eclipse was locked out of the "Costume Change" protocol. Until the malfunction is dealt with, neither Eclipse, Sun, nor Moon can wake Eclipse up."

Okay. That's more information than we started with. Eclipse must have noticed something was wrong and sought to correct it, but was unable to do so fully. Now he's trapped in "sleep mode" until it fixed. No wonder the costume change didn't work.

"Do you-"

But before she could ask her next question, she was cut off by the muted whimper of one of the toddlers. A little boy with a tuft of blonde hair was curled up on his side, tears building in his unseeing eyes green eyes. It seems he's halfway caught in a nightmare.

Danni felt Moondrop unlatch himself from her arm and quietly make his way over to the boy, tip-toeing around the other children.

But something was wrong.

Danni wasn't sure what tipped her off. It could be the way Moon hunched slightly, like a predator stalking its prey. Or the way his face plate slowly tilted from left to right and back again, the subtle twitching she'd noticed earlier now nowhere to be seen. Either way, something in Danni's chest had her following the animatronic over to the increasingly distressed toddler.

It was because of this that she heard it.

"Naughty boy. Naughty boy. It's past your bedtime."

Voice lines Danni has heard a thousand times. But something in the way his voice box modulated had Danni on edge.

He sounded… malicious. Sinister. Threatening.

So when Danni finally joined Moon at the child's side and saw how his right arm was poised to swing, she didn't hesitate to intervene when she heard Moon say something she never thought she'd hear.

"You must be punished."

Danni snatched Moon's arm as it swung down towards the defenseless toddler. Moon's head jerked sideways to face her, his eyes no longer a gentle, pale glow.

They were blood red.

"You're disrupting nap time. Naughty girl. You must be punished."

Shit Shit Shit Shit Shit Shit Shit Shit

Dani had no fucking clue what she was doing. She had a malfunctioning animatronic in one hand, and a crying toddler a foot away. What the fuck was she supposed to do? She had, like, 0.8 seconds before Moon's processing systems decided how to best "punish" her, and she had a feeling it'd be a bit more violent than a couple of minutes in the timeout corner.

Okay, Danni. Take a deep breath and give it a good think. You're no repairman, so Moon going all terminator isn't something you can fix. But is there anything you can do to stop the baby from crying and waking the otherbabies?

There was.

Moving in tandem as Moon fully turned to face her, Danni reached into the almost invisible opening in his clothing near his chest, which give the animatronic quick access to his chest cavity where his sleep cap is stored. It just so happens that his chest cavity also holds a stash of candies that can be given out to rowdy or upset children.

Quickly snatching a blueberry flavored moondrop, Danni shoved the animatronic away as hard as she could. Moon stumbled back, his face plate twitching as he deftly avoided the other sleeping toddlers.

Working quickly, Danni unwrapped the candy and popped it into the crying boy's mouth. Suddenly having something else to focus on, the toddler's tears ceased as his sleepy mind processed the comforting, sweet flavor of the candy.

But Danni didn't have any time to celebrate her success, as she heard an unfamiliar clicking coming from the direction where she'd shoved Moondrop.

Turning, she saw Moon's face plate completely turned upside down, his smiling face now flipped. A frown.

"You must be punished."

Feeling a shiver run up her spine, Danni wasted no time in turning towards the exit and dashing away.

As she burst through the curtains, her gut screamed at her to duck. Danni felt something whoosh over her head as she did so. Moon had caught up quickly and pounced right as she'd opened the curtains. If she hadn't ducked…

Oh god, he's actually trying to hurt me.

It was something she suspected, after he'd uttered those words, but to actually experience it?

Her internal panic was once again interrupted Moondrop slowly arose. His movements were… wrong. Too smooth. Too perfect. Uncanny in every way.

Moon slowly turned to face her, his head tilting smoothly right to left. He was once again hunch forward, and his smile seemed almost sinister.

One problem solved, but now your stuck with the one problem you had no real plan to deal with. Isn't this day turning out just great?!

Another deep breath. Danni unclenched her jaw and tried to think of a way to stop the animatronic that was slowly stalking towards her like he was playing a fun game of hide and seek.

Except there was no where for Danni to hide.

How can I stop Moondrop from moving?

Her mind raced through everything she knew about the Daycare Attendant, from his general programming to the little she knew about the actual mechanics of his design.

The thought stuck her right as Moon got close enough to swipe at her.

Danni may not have a degree in robotics, but she knew these animatronics just as well as she knew these halls. Before Moon's hands (were those claws?) could graze her face, Danni dodged right, pivoting behind the daycare attendant and aiming for a small button on the animatronic's neck. In an instant, Moon collapsed.

Whether this was a safety measure or a design flaw, Danni would never know. What she did know was that, in pushing that button, she'd temporarily shut off the signal transmitters that allowed the daycare attendant to move their body.

"Naughty girl. Naughty girl. You must be punished."

Danni breathed out slowly.

Okay. He's down. Onto figuring out how to fix him. And trying not to collapse from all the stress.

Kneeling down so she could inspect the animatronic more closely, Danni debated her options.

If I turn them over to the mechanics, the repairs will be superficial at best, and exacerbate the issue at worse. Eclipse is out of commission. I'll be getting no advice from him. Sun is entirely lost on how to proceed. And it looks like, whatever is fucking with them, it hit Moon first and has been isolated in hiscode specifically. Neverwould he have ever tried to hit a child like that. And even though he's confrontational with the parents who try to pick up their children during nap time, he's never tried to physically attackanyone.

I've got to fix this.

But Danni was no mechanic. She had no engineering degree or a minors in robotics. So, she turned to the only method she knew of.

Concussive Maintenance.

Taking her handy flashlight, Danni hit Moon square in the face as hard as she could. And when she heard the violent ramblings continue, she did it again. And again.

It was only once the lens of her Fazbear flashlight cracked that she noticed a change.

"Please stop-p-p. M-M-Mo-oo-n's circuit-t-t-ts hu-u-u-rt-t-t-t."

Halting her next swing, Danni looked Moon in the eyes. "Are you back to normal Moondrop? You're not going to try clawing at me again, are you?"

The animatronic was silent. "Moon doesn't know." Was the clipped response after what felt like minutes ticked by.

Danni took a moment to breath deeply once more. If she didn't care for these animatronics as much as she did, she sure as hell wouldn't be going this far. Not with her anxiety, nuh uh.

Moon's face plate twitched again, and with it, his eyes flashed red before quickly turning back to their softly glowing white. His face plate seemed to twist into something mirroring distress.

"N-n-n-n-o-on-no more n-n-na-nn-nap time, Dan-n-n-n-n-ni guard. Bad children, not b-b-b0101-bad. Moon ne-eee-eds to b-b-b-e fixed. No more nap time!"

Danni felt all the breath leave her as her eyes widened.

No more nap time? Is Moon really suggesting that Sundrop run the Daycare until they could find a solution?

Not only would that be an impossible amount of work added to Sun's already full plate, that would also mean that Moon would be forced into "sleep mode" for who knows how long.

"Will… you be okay? We don't know how long this will take, especially since we can't bring this to the mechanics."

Danni jerked back as Moon's claws hand suddenly jutted out towards her, just barely missing the collar of her uniform. Acting quickly, she once again pressed the button on his neck.

Moon's body once again went limp, his sudden ramblings of "you must be punished" halting just as abruptly as they began.

"Moon?"

His face plate shifting ever so slightly, giving her ever smiling friend the approximation of a remorseful frown, Moon replied.

"Not naughty. Children not. Guard not. No nap time until Daycare Attendant is fixed."

Mind apparently made up, the Moon's face plate shifted once again, the cloth on his outfit flipping from starry night to circus stripe and the room brightened, as Moondrop became Sundrop once again.

With the change came the reset of the of the transmitter pathways. In an instant, Sundrop hopped up from the floor.

"Danni-guard, hello! Did the children have a good nap? Oh, of course they did! He always does so well! Why, He's probably found out why I couldn't be We." In his metal eyes, Danni saw a desperate sort of hope shine. "Oh boy, I can't wait to be We again!"

Danni quickly grabbed Sun's arm, preventing him from attempting to start the "costume-change" protocol.

"Danni-guard? Now, you know I can't change if a human is in direct contact. You could loose a finger!"

Danni took a deep breath, nodding her head. "I know Sundrop. That's why I did it. Moon wasn't able to figure out what was wrong. From what we could tell, it actually looks like the thing stopping you from changing into Eclipse started with Moondrop," She took another steadying breath, picking her words to be as delicate as possible, "He's in a bad way, Sun. He- He tried to hit one of the kids, when he woke up. And when I intervened, he chased me out of the nap room and attacked me."

Sundrop's ever moving body became unnaturally still.

"He… He tried to hurt a friend? Tried to hurt you? No, no. Danni-guard, you must be mistaken. He would never do that!"

Danni gently turned him around to fully face her. "But he did, Sundrop. Moon regretted it instantly, I know. But he did. And by both my estimation and his own, he'll do it again. Before Moon changed, Sun, he told me 'no more nap time.' He's not himself anymore, and he knows it. That means YOU have to run the Daycare. At least until we can figure out a way to fix you."

Sun started shaking, his joints making a steady clicking noise. "But I can't be in charge of the Daycare. That was always something We did. I don't know- I can't-!"

"And that's why I'm going to help, Sundrop." She smiled with a confidence that she most definitely didnot feel, "I'll get here extra early to help you set everything up, and I'll work unpaid over time to help you clean up. I'll even ask the other security guards for help in running everything. We just can't let the mechanics or the company know something is wrong."

As soon as Fazbear Entertainment heard that their only animatronic run facility was in such a state, they'd come in and either shut it all down and scrap Sun, or find some way to use the poor daycare attendant's crisis to their benefit.

She took another steadying breath, "And we need to keep the lights on. No more nap time, Sun. That was the last thing Moon asked for. Until you can be Eclipse again, the lights stay on andyou will be in charge of making sure the kids stay safe. I'll be sure to help you in anyway that I can, but I need you to be brave and do what you can to keep everything running. Okay?"

Sun's body shuddered, his face plate shifting like he was expressing too many emotions at once, that his physical body couldn't keep up.

"You'll fix Us? You'll help Us be whole again, Danni-guard?"

Danni smiled, hearing the fragile hope and determination in his voice box.

"Of course I will, Sun. I'll never abandon a friend in need. No matter how long it takes, we'll find way to fix you."

...

Lying prone on the ground, surrounded by turned over and broken tables and the bodies of her fellow security guards and staff members, Danni felt the regret hammer in her heart like a nail. Hearing the heavy thuds of Monty's footsteps drown out the gleeful skips of the mad woman, Vanessa, Danni found that she wasn't upset about the fact that she was dying. Death wasn't something she feared. No, she was upset that she couldn't keep her promise. Even though she didn't mean to, she's abandoning Sundrop. And Moondrop. And poor, poor Eclipse.

And just when she figured out how to help them.

Feeling the stolen Fazwrench in her pocket stab into her hip, Danni prayed that someone helped her friends become themselves once again.

Sun. Moon. Chica. Roxy. Monty. Freddy.

(And in the quite space of her fading consciousness, she'd maybe even add herself onto that list.)

They didn't deserve any of this.

AN: I had some trouble characterizing Moondrop. While we see plenty of Sun acting fairly normal (if a bit high strung and manic at times) we only ever see Moon being antagonistic and evil. So, I borrowed some head canons from some FNAF fans to get in the groove of writing him. Here are a few:

RequestsAreOpen

"Sun and the daycare were both designed to accommodate kids with disabilities, like his bells helping the visually impaired find him and the floor padding helping with sensory issues. And his body has a plush casing, so children can hug him all they want."

"He keeps his hat stored in his chest cavity, along with his stash of candies (there's two compartments in there for sundrops and moondrops)."

"If there's kids who had nightmares or can't sleep, he'll invite them to make crafts or draw with him as long as they don't disturb the other napping children. His eyes glow a little brighter to serve as a lamp."

PeepsandTubz

"Moon walks on his tippy toes."

TheFandomSimp

"moon does this thing to his friends where he uses one hand to hold their hand and uses his free arm to wrap his arm around theirs, this is basically him saying nonverbally "I am in some sort of distress and I'm doing this to seek comfort". at first, many of the glamrocks didn't get what was going on, and neither did Alice (my oc). but sun knew, this is moons brother we're talking about. so he hugs moon and tells him it's all gonna be ok and he's safe. the others picked up on that and whenever moon did the thing they would do what sun did."

Oh, and that lullaby Moon sang? I got it from here: watch?v=WBdS_xtmHzk Kudos to FXXTRN for this beauty of an animatic!

I think that's all I really have to say. So I'll just close this out, then. Remember…

If you have any questions about what the heck went on in this story, leave a comment. If you don't have questions and just want to say something, leave a comment. If you want to bash on my horrendous writing, leave a comment! All comments are welcome in this household!
