He didn't know what he was meant to feel right know, relief at surviving, exhaustion or maybe sadness? But no matter how hard he tried nothing came. He hadn't fully processed what happened, but in all honesty he didn't want to think about it or recall the events, so he was left to focus on were the screams and gunshots that grew distant the more he ran.

"RUN ARTHUR DON'T LOOK BACK!"

"WE'LL BE RIGHT BEHIND YOU SWEETY!"

Yeah that's right they were right behind him. Everything was alright, he just had to run and not look back. So once they're safe everything will go back to normal, mom will cook her horrible food and continue being the most terrifying thing in his life, dad will tell stories of his huntsman days and continue being a bad influence on him. Once they survived, this will be an awesome story to tell the baby but for now all he had to do was run and never look back no matter what he heard, no matter how familiar he thinks the screams were, 'Just don't look back Arthur'.

He didn't how far he got but eventually his body just gave up entirely and he ended up just planting face first into a lake. He didn't know how long he stayed like that but eventually he started hearing occasional howls in the distance but he couldn't bring himself to care, not about the howls, not about the scratches and scrapes around his legs from running carelessly in the forest, not about his shivering body that is subjected to the cold, not about the dried up blood on his shirt that came from nowere, not about the fact that he's been here for who knows how long and there was now sign of his parents. No he didn't care.

They were coming. They just got delayed but he knew they were coming there was nothing on earth that could beat his dad, he was practically invincible after all.

They were coming, he just had to wait.

The howls were getting closer fast. The closer they got and the more they howled, Arthur quickly realized they were not normal. It was not uncommon to heard wolves at night considering they lived near the mountains here but they never got this close to the village and not only that but the closer they got mere howls quickly because loud roaring.

Arthur was a bright kid, well people called him a genius which always got him confused since he never understood what the villagers saw in him 'And you'll never get to know now' but that's not the point. The point is that he knew what was quickly approaching were not wolves but something far worse. The creatures of darkness that hunted in every corner of Remnant, monsters that practically brought the world to it's knees and continue to dominate.

The Grimm

What should he do now? On one side were the Grimm and on the other were those scum. He really was caught between a rock and a hard place and he hasn't even found his parents

"Why does a child like you look so haunted?" The voice behind he sounded beautiful that was certain with a soothing and relaxed tone it felt enchanting and could easily make men go to war.

As Arthur slowly looked back...
