Chapter 1 : The last call to the Hale Pack

Eli Hale is a 16 year old Beacon Hills high school student and he still could not imagine his dad and uncle Peter walking these same hallways no really there was just no way his dad was a actual regular high school student have you met the guy he spends most his time giving speeches most of which start with it is your duty as a Hale , Eli let out a groan of frustration as he watch the second hand move annoying slow to ring for final bell he has been staring at the clock for the last 10 minutes like it was personal a enemy to him whilst as the same time tapping his pencil on the desk again even though Mr Thomas his Science teacher told him to "Cut it out Hale" twice already

"Hale do you want me to have a little conversation with coach about you not going to lacrosse training but detention instead" Mr Thomas asked

"No Sir" Eli said _Hale_ that's all everyone ever called him _Hale_ like he had no identity except for just being Derek Hale's son that's why he was in such a rush for this day to just end his supposed to meet Marisol after his lacrosse practice she had been staying late after school for extra credit assignments and had to walk though the woods when it was staring to get dark so he offered to walk with her , she had refused at first making it clear that she was perfectly fine walking home by herself she knew he was a werewolf there wasn't anyone in Beacon Hills who didn't know but there was a reason he wanted to start being friends with her she was the only one around here who ever called him _Eli_

He watched as the second hand went past the twelve indicating that it was now 4pm but the bell didn't ring oh cone on Eli thought and just as he did the bell rung most of the class didn't wait for Mr Thomas to say _Class Dissmised_ before they where out Eli may or may not have been one of them Max and Nick two of the guys on his lacrosse team walked up next to him

"Sup Hale"_ Max asked

"Uh Hey Max, How is Kelly"_ Eli asked his eyebrow raised in question

"Oh she is just fan fucking tastic" Max said frustration clear in his voice

"Still won't put out huh"_Nick asked

"You're cruising for a bruising Nikoulas"_ Max sneered Max enjoyed old fashioned movies

"Hey can you guys hear that"_ Eli asked

"Your the wolf boy not us remember we don't hear what you hear genius"_ Nick snarked at him Eli frowned that was weird even for him they should have heard it he could have sworn the hissing sound was right in front of them its probably nothing just shake it off your fine he told himself Max and Nick was walking in front of him now he was heading into the locker room when he heard it again a hiss then he turned and he could have sworn he saw someone staring at him it wasn't his family because he would have felt the pack bond instead all he felt was cold and dread but most of all on edge something was out there some bad and he could feel it in his bones the ame bones that made him a Hale he told himself that it was going to be alright he didn't really believe himself but he trusted his pack for better or worse and if there was a treat they would know his dad was already probably on it his mind was pulled to the attention of Coach who refused to retire and claimed he still got it Eli doesn't want to picture what it is

"Minnie Hale your on goal grab a long stick"_ He said

"You got it coach"_ he said the rest of the practice went by uneventful well if you don't count Thea accidently hitting Max in the Jewels and Max saying "Fucking son of bitch ow" and coach's speech about how he lost a tesstical but controlled his tongue so Max got Detention for a week so mostly uneventful for Eli atleast he felt sorry for Max but it was still just a practice after which he met with Marisol

"Eli Hi are you ready to go" she asked standing by the bleachers that's when Eli heard it again the hiss

"Uh-huh yeah let's go" he said stepping into step next to her Marisol's family home wasn't very far from the Hale preserve infact they rented from his dad here father was a werewolf too bitten the gene skipped Marisol some people where just luck like that they where a ways into the woods now when she stopped walking

"Why are we stopping" He asked he was still on edge the cold feeling had never left his bones

"This going to sound crazy but I have this feeling" she said she was speaking very softly he had to use his wolf hearing to listen

"What feeling" he asked

"It just very cold" she said "Hey did you tell your dad your walking me home" She added

"My dad no why should I have" he asked

"I think his been following us" she said pointing to a silhouette in the trees the cold feeling in his bones now had him frozen to the core

"That is not my dad" he said stepping in front of her slowly but she nudge him to the side

"It's okay" she said "I have a bat" she added in a tone that implied that she had total faith in her bat Eli rolled his eyes but stood rigid as the someone who following them came into the light their was atleast 30 of them they had no skin and no eyes their bodies moved in cracking and timed movements they had no blood flow their organs where almost pale a green acid ran through them the same acid lit up their eye sockets Eli watched as one got down to pet a bunny it let out a breath the smell of rotten meat reach Eli's nose and he watched as the bunny whimpered until it was nothing but ashes in the hands of the creature

"Okay don't let them touch you" Eli said

"Got that, is there anything you can do " She asked he was gonna tell her no but then he remembered one of the main rules his dad repeatedly told him during his speeches

"Before a fight first thing you do is call for your pack"_ Eli thought letting his head fall back he reached for his wolf whitin and let out a terrified growl
