"Pull, Cat, pull!" Marinette cried as Cat tried to tug the pumpkin from the vine. "Wait, I have a better idea, Princess!" Cat set the pumpkin and begin to dig. "Take cover!" Marinette ducked as a spray of dirt flew through the air.
It was the second of October, and Marinette thought it would be fun to take Cat to the local pumpkin patch. However, Cat would be visiting the tub when they got home! "I will prevail!" Cat shouted, and with a final swipe of his paws the pumpkin came loose and Cat hit the ground with a low thud!
"I thought you'd said we were going to carve as soon as we got home," Cat whined as Marinette led him upstairs to the bathroom. "That was before someone put on the Shining Leather. Your filthy and you need a bath. Get in the tub." Cat glared, but clambered in. Marinette turned on the faucet, and Cat's long leather belt tail begin to swish. "You gourd?" she asked, then groaned.
Cat loosened up as the warm water begin to fill the tub. It felt nice, and with a soft meow he settled down. But, wait, were where his rubber ducks? "You can play with them after I scrub you down." Cat sighed.
Marinette lathered her hands with shampoo then begin to massage it into Cat's soft hair. Or rather, his soft dirty hair. A loud purr started up, as she begin to scratch by his ear. "Ah, harder! Harder!"
Cat's bell on his leather suit begin jingling like crazy, and Marinette finally had enough. "Bell," she held out her palm. "Bye, old friend," Cat told it in a forlorn voice. "Drama Queen," Marinette muttered, setting the bell on the counter.
Next she filled the old coffee can with water. "Time for your part!" Cat sucked in a breath, as Marinette poured warm water over his head.
Finally, squeaky and clean, Marinette dried his hair with the dryer. "Now, when your done playing with the rubber ducks, we'll carve pumpkins."
Marinette shut the door, and Cat looked at one of the ducks and grinned. How would his Princess react to a rubber duck on a pumpkin?
