Eddie can't wait to get home. It's been a long day of press interviews about Corroded Coffin's new album that dropped last week. So far the album has got glowing reviews thankfully. All day, he and his band mates heard from reporter, after reporter, about how much everyone loves the new album. Sure it is a great morale boost that everyone likes the music he and guys slaved for days, weeks, months to produce. However, press is the thing Eddie likes least about being a famous rockstar. He'd much rather spend his time playing guitar and making music. Days like this felt wrong, like he spent all day pretending to be a famous rockstar. What kind of rockstar doesn't play their instrument all day long. He missed his guitar. Days like this reminded him of being back in high school. He would spend all day watching the hours tick by slowly, all the while itching to get home and get his hands on his beloved, beautiful guitar.

He used to refer to his guitar as his girlfriend. That is until he actually got a real life flesh and blood girlfriend, Chrissy, who is now his wife of three months. It is still hard for him to believe that they are actually married. He fell in love with Chrissy in middle school and by some stroke of dumb luck landed her years later in high school. Although if you ask Chrissy, it wasn't dumb luck, it was fate that drove them together on her journey of self discovery her senior year. She was always so sweet and kind and he always thought she was a badass. When they started hanging out, he realized just how much of a badass she truly was. She was fierce and brave and didn't take any of his shit. The cherry on top for him was to learn of her creative side as a photographer. His heart still skips a beat when he thinks back to their first kiss in the dark room during spring break. Now his lady is the ultimate badass working for the most badass magazine, Rolling Stone.

He remembers the day he found out that Corroded Coffin was going to be on the front cover last year. Chrissy knew but somehow managed to keep it a secret. She was there when Steve Harrington, their long time friend and manager, told them the news. The guys all shouted and jumped in unison. It never ceased to amaze them whenever they reached new levels of "making it." At first, "making it" was them getting signed. Then it was going on tour, opening for Guns and Roses. Then winning album of the year. Now this, landing the cover of Rolling Stone. Coming down from the high of the news, Eddie looked to Chrissy expecting her to look as shocked as he was, only to find her smiling at him with a knowing expression on her gorgeous face.

"Milady…" Eddie asked curiously. "...did you know about this?"

She had been working at the magazine for a while at that point. Chrissy shrugged her shoulders and bit her bottom lip. "Yes milord I did. And… I know something else." She whispered to him.

His eyebrows shot up and he moved closer to her wrapping his arms around her waist, unsure what she was about to say next. "Oh yeah?"

She grinned bashfully at him. "I'm going to be shooting the cover for you guys."

Eddie gasped in excitement. His lungs struggled for oxygen. It was too much for one day. Landing the cover. Chrissy shooting it. It was a literal dream come true for him. "Are you serious?"

"Yeah, I found out yesterday." Chrissy confirmed. Eddie lifted her up in the air and spun her around. It was one of the best days of his life. He remembers looking at her in that moment, all smiles and love behind her eyes. He had known for a long time he wanted to marry her but the timing never felt right until that moment. That moment is when he decided he was done waiting and he was going to propose. At the photoshoot. For the cover.

When he did propose, she was so surprised and overwhelmed. Happy tears streamed down her face as she giggled a "Yes!" to him on one knee before her. Another one of the happiest days of his life. Another "making it" milestone for him personally.

Eddie finally arrived home, all he could think about after a day of pretending to be a famous rockstar, was to go home and truly be a rockstar by playing some music. It was the only way for him to justify days like this in his mind. If he didn't play, then he would spend the rest of the night and next several days feeling like a fraud somehow. It became part of his Munson Doctrine. On press days, he would play music, no matter how tired he was, even if it was only for thirty minutes. He got the idea from Chrissy one night after a long day of press for something or other, when confessed his feelings of inadequacy to her. She suggested it and being the genius she was, it worked. It's been his ritual ever since.

Chrissy wasn't due home for another hour so Eddie figured he would play until she got home. Eddie walked in the front door and into the big luxurious entryway. They bought the house right after they got engaged. It was a small but tasteful mansion. Chrissy kept Eddie reigned in from going too crazy when purchasing a forever home for them. Now that Eddie had money he liked to spend it, which was all good and well but sometimes he could be careless. Chrissy kept him grounded in that area and many others. She guided him to purchase this home since it wasn't too big and one of the budget friendly places that they looked at. She had to seriously talk him out of a place that had a guitar shaped pool. It was WAY over budget and WAY too big for the two of them but he didn't care. Chrissy convinced him to sleep on it and when he woke up the next day he realized it probably wasn't the wisest decision. After they bought the house, she had to reel him in when decorating too. He wanted the place to look badass, she wanted to make it a home. They met in the middle and had a homey, badass mansion. He didn't know what he would do without her.

He climbed the stairs taking two at a time to retreat to their bedroom. He laid down his sunglasses, keys, cigarettes and wallet on his bedside table. He turned heel to his music room which was next to their kitchen. He rounded the corner and laid eyes on his beautiful guitar.

Nostalgia prompted him to say, "Sorry I am late. sweetheart."

He kissed his fingers and was brushing those fingers along the strings, just like he used to after school, when he heard Chrissy's voice. "It's okay. I-" She appeared in the doorway that led to the kitchen and paused when she saw his hand on his guitar. "You weren't talking to me. Were you?" She asked him flatly.

Eddie was frozen in place, feeling awkward. "Uhh, no."

Chrissy rolled her eyes and shook her head. "You know when it comes to your guitar, sometimes you make me feel like I am the other woman or something." She joked.

Eddie started walking toward his wife. "Well she was my first love." Chrissy shot him a look. Eddie quickly added, grabbing her waist. "But you, milady, are my last."

Chrissy narrowed her eyes at him for a moment before leaning in and giving him a quick kiss. "Smooth."

She removed his hands from her and walked toward the kitchen, knowing he would follow. "What are you doing home so early?" Eddie asked.

"I got off early and decided to make us a nice dinner." She replied.

Chrissy didn't normally cook that often so hearing this surprised Eddie. "Not that I am complaining. But why are you making dinner? What's the occasion?"

Chrissy reached the stove and stirred while shrugging. "Just felt like doing something nice. It'll be ready in about 45 minutes. Why don't you go on and play?"

"You sure?" Eddie asked, still sensing something was off.

Chrissy turned to face him and leaned up on her tiptoes to give him a proper kiss. Tongues played with each other lazily. He would never get tired of the feeling he got when he kissed her. It was pure heaven. Chrissy pulled back first. "Yes milord. I'm sure."

True to her word, she called him for dinner forty-five minutes later. They sat at the table in the dining room. They had a big, long table but they always sat next to each other. Him at the head of the table and her on his left, just like they did in high school. When Sam pointed that fact out to them one day, they both concluded that now it's something they weren't even aware they were doing. It became a habit, one they were looking to never break.

After they talked all about his day. Eddie asked her about hers. He noticed she seemed nervous for some reason. "I lied before. I didn't make dinner just to be nice."

Eddie gave her a weird look. "Okay…"

Chrissy's voice raised with some enthusiasm. "I actually have some news." He waited patiently for her to continue. He watched Chrissy take a big breath before speaking again. "Sorry. I'm late, sweetheart." She said mimicking his words from earlier.

Eddie thought it was a joke at first but he didn't get it. One look at her face, he knew she wasn't messing with him.. Eddie's eyebrows knit together in confusion. He replayed her words trying to make out what she was telling him. Sorry. I'm late, sweetheart.. Why was she sorry? What was she late for? And she never called him sweetheart. That was his name for his guitar. Chrissy called him that once and he hated it. He preferred milord. That was her nickname for him. He broke down the sentence one more time focusing on her words. Sorry. Why? What did she do that she is apologizing for? I'm late. A ton of bricks hit him with a realization. Was she saying she was late for her period?

If she was, then he understood the apology. It was unnecessary. When they got married, they decided to wait a year before trying to have children. But secretly Eddie didn't care when he had kids with her. He just wanted to have kids with her some day. They decided on a year to avoid her having a baby on or around his upcoming tour and Samatha and Steve's wedding in a few months.

Eddie finally spoke, "As in…"

"As in. Late. For my period. Eddie, we are going to have a baby." Chrissy smiled at him wide, clearly happy with the news.

He laughed and pulled her in for a big bear hug. He was so happy. "MIlady, are you serious?" She nodded. "That is amazing!"

"You're not upset?" She asked shyly.

"Why would I be upset?" He asked her in earnest.

"I don't know. Because we said we were going to wait…" She tried to explain.

Eddie shook his head at her. "Your majesty, I could not be more thrilled. I only agreed to that timeline because I thought that is what you wanted. A humble servant obeys his queen's commands."

Chrissy laughed because she was relieved and he was using her nicknames that he was allowed only on special occasions. "I love you milord."

Eddie's heart seized for the briefest of seconds. "I love you milady, and I love our little nugget too."
