"Bet you can't catch me!" Boruto stuck out his tongue and ran like the wind as Sarada shouted his name, sharingan activated.

Frustrated with his karma and lack of control over Momoshiki, Boruto had been playing more pranks than usual. After getting over his depression, he really wasn't sure what else to do with himself. He couldn't train for fear that he would awaken. Even with the pills, there was still the looming fear that he might hurt someone.

But he couldn't deny the fact that he wanted attention. Desperately.

So when Sarada came chasing after him to scold him for doing parkour on top of the trains, he chided her into chasing him.

Knowing she could keep up with him pretty easily, he imbued more chakra into his feet and pushed himself forward, faster and further than he ever had before. He felt like he was flying. And for just a little while, his heart felt lighter.

"Boruto!"

She was still keeping up with him. He needed a diversion if this was going to go on any longer.

Reaching into his ninja tool pouch, he pulled out a smoke bomb and threw it at the ground. She could still see his chakra, but this would give him enough time to slip into a building undetected.

Snickering to himself, he peered over the edge and watched as Sarada looked around, her eyes wandering the dispersing smoke.

Just when Boruto was about to change locations, he noticed something rather odd about his hiding place. There were piles and piles of scrolls… But they seemed antient.

The sides of his mouth turned down as his eyebrows furrowed. He hesitantly reached out, unrolling the old dusty parchment.

"What... is this?" Decrypted writing was scribbled all over its surface. "Ani... Anima... Animation? Hm? Or maybe it's debunk... Or purple monkey? Geh, I don't know which code they used to encrypt it..."

Another strange object caught his eye. It was cold to the touch, yet smooth… Not too heavy, not too light. After further inspection, he deduced that it was an old version of the console he had. A really, old version.

He blew on it and immediately coughed behind his jacket. But once he found the power button and switched it on, the screen flickered to life behind the thick layer of imbedded dust.

Boruto squinted. How old is this thing? The resolution was so bad that he could hardly make out the picture. But from what he could see, the title was "Once Upon a Time." Some fuzzy blobs that resembled two people dancing could be made out in the background.

"...Who would wanna play a cruddy princess game?"

Just then, Sarada climbed through the window. "I found you!"

He had been so concentrated on his findings that he had completely forgotten about Sarada. Her sudden appearance startled him so much that he dropped the consol.

The next three seconds went by in a blur.

The console hit the scroll. A bright light enveloped the room. Boruto found himself getting sucked into something. He tried to grab Sarada's arm as a means to stay in the land of the living. But the force was too strong. He accidentally pulled her in with him.
