On a nice summer day, the Simpson family had just received a news update from Kent Brockman that a carnival that was planned for coming to town for two long weekends has been postponed to next summer due to severe weather conditions, such as a thunderstorm bringing heavy downpours, which could result in flash flooding, and if possible, a power outage. Because of this, every single family in Springfield, including the titular title family, is now feeling discouraged.
"Sometimes, Mother Nature can have plans to ruin a day that is supposed to be nice. That's because Mother Nature is a kind but unforgiving woman that should never be taken lightly. So since we have this living room to ourselves this moment on this gloomy Saturday afternoon, you know, we can take the time to do things we wouldn't usually do on weekends when the kids are here with us."
"Wow. Heavy downpours all across Springfield could cause flooding, as well as some places to be without power. Anyways, what does The Weather Channel say, big brother? Well, unfortunately for you, Lis', there's going to be thunderstorms all day today and tomorrow, including tonight and tomorrow night. Oh my gosh. That's means if I get scared and can't sleep at night, especially during a power failure, I'll have to come into your room and ask you if I can sleep with you. And I always say yes, so you won't have to go to school or church feeling drowsy."
"Hey, bro. Yeah, sis? I was thinking, since the carnival that was supposed to come to town this summer was postponed to next summer, not to mention that the two of us are alone in your room, what should we do to entertain ourselves on this gloomy Saturday afternoon? Well, we have to do it quietly because Maggie is still sound asleep because she was feeling cranky from the crying she did last night. Did you take the time to calm her down and make her act as sweet as the day she was born? Not this time. I decided to let Mom do the caring, because I was working so hard on the first of my three book reports of the summer, I needed to recharge my batteries, meaning I was tired and needed to rest. Mmm... So did I. I needed to rest after reading some good books, because reading is interesting, and can make you or those close to you feel sleepy.
I think we should tell another story, and this time, it's going to be cute. This cute story begins with three little siblings, one male and two female, learning how to count on one another. For example, when one of those siblings needs help, another sibling comes to the rescue. One time, the three get lost in the woods meaning that their parents had to go on a wild goose chase to find them. "Mmm... Our tummies are gurgling, and there is no food around here, so we're gonna start starving. Little sister? Yeah, big brother? Come here. I'll make you feel a little better. Okay. Now lets lay you down and slowly rub your tummy. Mmm... This feels good. Since the forest is a place where we don't necessarily have access to fresh food and water, it looks the only way we're going to make it through this is by relying on each other. Isn't that right, Maggie? (suck 3x) But of course, what is sibling love without caring for one another? Obviously, sibling love without caring for one another is not a true type of sibling love. That's true." That was the cutest story I have ever heard. Yep, and it's as cute as us siblings.
Mom? Yeah, Maggie is still having a hard time sleeping at night right now, so she's wondering if she can sleep with you two for a few nights. Oh, just like when Bart invites me to sleep with him when I have trouble sleeping by myself. That's right. And Bart, sweetie, because Maggie was once again crying last night, I was looking to wake you up to once again so you could calm her down, but because you were so tired from working so hard on the first of your three book reports, I didn't want to disturb you, so I decided to fill in for you. Remember, your three book reports are due on the first day of the new school year. And we're now in July, so you have plenty of time, but don't wait until the last minute.
Now the first order of business is a change for you, baby sister. Woo! Okay, good luck. I think when he said "Woo!", it's probably means that it's a #2. Anyway, that adorable big brother of mine, always coming with a plan to make sure Maggie gets all the love and affection from him, me, and Mom Dad. All changed? Yes, and this time, Maggie is now acting a lot sweeter. Just look at this precious bundle of joy, our really cute, sweet, and adorable baby sister slowly and softly sucking on her pacifier more. It started once I slowly undid the tapes, and she played with her bellybutton. It's obviously from you changing a messy diaper for the very first time, and because of this, now when she cries, she'll rely on you more at night, and she'll still rely on me during the day.
Now it's gone to nighttime, so I'll go change into my night clothes, and you do the same. And I'll also prepare Maggie to sleep with us.
(3 minutes later)
(coos softly) Let's give your tummy a little tickle, because you're so cute and adorable, yes you are.
(Maggie giggling)
Because you are the baby of this family, you are the sweetest.
I see you're giving our little sister the time of her life. That's so cute. Come here and get on your bed, cutie." she said sweetly. "Now just lay down on your back and relax while I go turn out the light." Lisa said as she went to the lightswitch and switched it to "OFF", resulting in the light to turn off. Then she would go back to her brother. "Now watch this. Close your eyes." Hearing her loud and clear, Bart closed his eyes, allowing Lisa to get on top of him and snuggling him a little. "You can open your eyes now, and you'll see that I'm on top of you. Man, this feels comforting. It sure does. Now, let's wrap each other in each other's arms first. Mmm... So warm. Now, let's roll to our sides.
(both giggling)
The reason why I got on top of you, my sweet big brother, is because not only should we cutely cuddle each other more often while we sleep, I also really love you. So do I, little sister.
(smooching sounds)
We always do kisses on the cheeks before going to sleep, because me, you, and Maggie are a trio of sweet children. Goodnight, sis. Goodnight, bro. Goodnight, Maggie."
"Aw, is that a tear, Homie? A little bit, because movies like this make me feel so happy that I sometimes cry. Same here.
(romantic music playing on TV)
Hey, how are our kids doing? I'll go check on them upstairs. Aw, once again, my boy is sleeping like a baby with his little sister. And my little girl Maggie is sleeping with them; that is so cute, my two kids protecting Maggie and keeping her safe and sound. Goodnight, you three.
