King of the Mountain Decends
I recently looked through some of my old things and found a folder that had my first ever fanfic and decided to make this after debating to make it or not.
Red has always been my favorite character from the Pokemon Special Adventures Manga and wished that Nintendo would make a Pokemon Special Adventures anime.
The context is that this is based on some pokemon fanfics where red is at the Pokemon World Tournament to show the world that he's back.
I made him a new team to make it look like a somewhat competitive team.
The entire story is revolved around Gen 5 where it so their is no Mega Evolve, Giganta Max, Z moves, or Terraforming.
Red's New team for this story.

I made this team with the idea of Red traveling the first three Pokemon Regions for a short bit as champion before returning to his mountain. For Togekiss on his team, dispite being a Gen 4 Pokemon, in the HeartGold SoulSilver remake you can evolve Togetic with a Shiny Stone when you use Rock Climb in the National Park to climb up a ledge and get one.
So with that in mind I had his Togetic find a Shiny Stone by accident in Mt.Silver for the story.
At the Pokemon World Tournament the people won't know who he is besides the Kanto Gym Leaders.
Also for those that read my other stories expect Red to gain the interest of both the Female Gym Leaders and Female Protagonist from the games and maybe even Female Villains.
Top of Mt.Silver
Standing on the top of the coldest and most dangerous mountain in the Pokemon World was a tall young man who looked to be just a few inches under 6 foot tall.
Wearing a Red jacket over a Black undershirt and Blue jeans. On his hands were Black sleeves gloves while his feet was a pair of worn-out running shoes. The person in question was looking at the top of the mountain with a soft gaze before hearing soft shuffling under him.
Looking to his feet they saw a yellow mouse nuzzling his leg. Smiling the young man scooped up the mouse and spoke is a soft tone "I think it's time for us to return to the normal world." He said before throwing a Pokéball into the air as a plane like Pokemon appear as the ball returned to him.
"Alli we're going back to Pallet Town." He said as said Pokemon gave a cry of excitement before hovering over it's trainer waiting in anticipation for it to fly it's trainer home.
Chuckling the young man got on and held tightly as the Pokemon dove down before flying to the South East.
Pallet Town
In the small quiet town a group of researchers were standing infront of a old man, inside of a lab, who was giving a speech when the heard a knocking on the lab door.
Sighing the old man walked over and answered. Telling the person to come another time the old man looked into the person's face and stood shocked. Chuckling the person the old man looked at spoke "It's been a couple of years old man Oak." The person said with a chuckle before smiling.
"Red..." Professor Oak said in disbelief before inviting him inside.
Entering his lab Red looked around before noticing a group of scientists who were reading some kind of book that had Professor Oak's face on it. Choosing to wait for Oaks Lecture to be done Red looked around the Professor's lab and saw some Pokémon he had never seen before.
3 Hours Later
After Professor Oak had finished his lecture he saw red looking through a Pokemon encyclopedia from different regions "Enjoying yourself Red." Oak said with a grin remembering the child who had released the Pokemon from his lab and proceeded to help him find the escaped Pokemon before giving him a Pokedex as he traveled to see what was out in the world.
Hearing the professor's words Red closed the encyclopedia before turning to him and grinned while rubbing his head "Sorry I was waiting for you to finish your lecture and saw this book that had Pokemon that I've never heard before." He said before seeing a ticket by the book.
Noticing his gaze Professor Oak laughed before telling him what has been happening since he was last in human society.
"So let me summarize what you said." Red said after listening to what Professor Oak said.
"In the 8 years I was on top of Mt.Silver you learned that their was 2 new regions with the latest hosting a World Tournament for the best of the best to compete in to see which region is the best in the world." Red said after thinking it through.
Nodding his head Professor Oak went on to say that Kanto has not had any championship wins in the tournament with blue reaching the quarter-finals before beaten by the eventual winner Cynthia Shirona.
Curious Red asked why Kanto hasn't gone further in the Pokemon World Tournament. Sighing Oak explained that after Red decided to train at the top of Mt.Silver the talent pool of Kanto has dropped to the point many of the officials are thinking about Johto and Kanto to merge their leagues.
Staying quiet and thinking about what to do Red was hit by a splash of inspiration and asked when the next World Tournament was going to happen.
"The next World Tournament will take place in two weeks." Professor Oak said before continuing "This year Gym Leaders and Elite Fours will be automatically allowed to qualify in the tournament while the Champions' will be automatically in the last 16." He said gaining Red's interest.
"And what about those who want to participate?" Red asked curiously. Understanding what Red ment Oak explained that those who wish to take part will undergo 5 qualifying rounds before they have to battle either a Gym Leader or Elite Four for their spot.
Nodding Red grinned thinking about the prospect of battling different trainers from across the World in the tournament. Seeing Red's smile Professor Oak smiled knowing what the young man will do.
"If you want to secure your participate without having a title as Champion of Kanto you must hurry over to Driftveil City to sign up before next week." Oak said before hearing his lab door being opened in a quick manner before being slammed shut.
Knowing what happened Professor Oak laughed before looking at his invitation ticket to watch the World Tournament.
After hearing how long he had before they stopped excepting registration Red immediately called out Alli to bring him to Unova as fast as she could.
Crying out in determination Togekiss wauted for Red to get on her before flying as fast as she could.
Looking behind him Red smiled remembering the fun times he had when he was still a kid as he saw Pallet Town slowly fade away as Togekiss flew him to Unova.
Apon nearing Unova Red saw a flock of bird Pokemon he had never seen before fly in synchronization before noticing Togekiss slowly getting tired.
Telling her to drop him off near the closest place that looked well populated Togekiss cried out in joy before landing in a small city off the coast of Unova.
After landing Red decided to walk around the small city and found a crowd forming infront of a school.
Going to a person in the crowd Red asked what was happening.
"The champion is here to battle the Gym leader!" They said in excitement.
Thinking that this was a chance to see how good they were Red decided to go and watch their battle.
