Chapter 1
A Special Birthday
The morning sun bathed the picturesque town of New Bark in a golden glow as Toby Grey stirred from his sleep. Today marked his 18th birthday, a day he had eagerly anticipated since childhood. He had always dreamt of becoming a Pokémon Trainer, and now, that dream was within reach.
As he descended the wooden staircase of his cozy family home, the inviting scent of freshly cooked pancakes wafted through the air. His mother, Marie, stood at the stove, flipping pancakes with expertise. Her warm smile greeted Toby as he entered the kitchen.
"Happy birthday, Toby," she chimed, her eyes sparkling with maternal affection.

Katie explained, her voice warm and affectionate, "We found this Teddiursa during our last co-adventure on Mt. Silver. It was abandoned and frightened. We thought it would make the perfect partner for you on your journey."
