This is a short little piece that I had no idea what to do with, so I've uploaded it.

Hope you all enjoy. I'm excited to be back uploading for the time being

"Morning Peg," Angie said as she came and sidled up next to Peggy as they walked to class. "Morning Ange," Peggy replied sending her friend a small smile. They walked to their lockers in silence. A few people greeted them, but most were still kind of quiet around Peggy, they were all still very aware of the incident and Peggy was probably the worst affected after Steve's family. James Barnes, Steve's best friend was in school abroad and so Peggy was really suffering all on her own at school and everybody could see it. At least she had Angie. The girl had been just what she had needed when she'd returned from compassionate leave.

"Dan's looking at you again," Angie whispers from the locker next to her. Peggy turns to look at her friend who nods her head down the hall and Peggy turns her head and looks down the corridor to see Daniel Sousa watching her from the other side of his locker. He sees her watching him and he turns back to his locker and Peggy just shakes her head.

"I think he likes you." Angie sings as the girls shut their lockers and walk down the corridor, passing Daniel Sousa on their way, he doesn't turn to look at them, but they turn to look at him and watch him as he leans against his locker, to collect his books.

"He doesn't like me, Ange. He's new, he's probably been told by every single student in our year, to keep a wide berth. Peggy Carter can turn hysterical, avoid it at all cost." Peggy commented and Angie just bumped her shoulder. "Not everyone is saying stuff like that." She says and Peggy just shrugs and they continue on to class.

"They might as well be, it's true," Peggy states as Angie leads the way into their English class and Peggy follows, taking their seats at the far end of the room, by the window. "Peggy." Angie chastised but Peggy just shrugs as they flip through their workbooks. "Come on Ange, we both know it's true. How many times since I've come back have someone said something and sent me into a fit of hysteria?" Peggy questioned, glancing at her best friend and then letting her eyes follow Daniel Sousa as he limped into the room.

"You're not being hysterical Peg, you're grieving and it's going to be hard, especially since your equivalent of a shrink is, well, me," Angie adds and Peggy just sighed and glanced back across the room, where Daniel was flipping through his own book.

"I can't go getting involved with boys right now anyway. I'll only compare them all to Steve and what good will that do any of us." Peggy sighs and Angie just puts an arm around her best friend's shoulders. "I'm not asking you to get involved Peg, I'm asking you to say hello, maybe introduce yourself. Prove all the gossiping wrong." Angie says and Peggy looks at her and then glances once more back at the table a few rows behind and locks eyes with Daniel Sousa who just smiles at her, before she quickly diverts her eyes and locks them back onto her work.

"I'll think about it," Peggy says as the teacher calls for the class's attention to start the lesson. Angie just reaches over squeezes Peggy's hand and smiles at her. It's a start if nothing else.
