Fighting the king lies and the Prince of Darkness

"An Owl House Halloween Special"

The time is exactly 1 year after Luz got enrolled at the Boiling Isles University of Wild Magic. Luz is doing well as a college student and their friend Gus is a great associate professor. Luz found a way to create a new healing hat. Thus, being able to get rid of EDA and Lilith's curse and free the Owl Beast at last. They owl beast was very thankful. Though Eda and Lilith do miss being able to go harpy form. Even though Eda is the headmaster. She still likes to get into trouble and drinking lots of apple blood. Luz and Amity are going steady as are Hunter and Willow. Gus and Skara hit it off well as did Viney and Jerbo.

It is Halloween and Luz along with most of her friends from the demon realm. Along with Eda Lilith and King have arrived in the human realm through the portal at the former Witibane house.

One of the demon realm kids that has a goblin shaped head says in excitement, "Ah Halloween! Tonight is the night." Another who has a mantis shaped head responds, "I can hardly wait. This is the one time of the year in the human realm where we can actually walk around in broad daylight as we really are and no one will care what we look like?"

Luz's friends arrive at her mom's house and Vee is there as well. Luz asks Vee, "Hey sis, you ready for tonight?" Vee, "I sure am. I'm going to meet in Masha at a Halloween dance hosted in the town square."

Camilla comes in give them both a hug and a kiss. Luz, "Oh no, mom stop." Camilla, "Hey young lady don't wipe away my kisses." Then turning her attention to the others, "Oh, you all know what you're doing tonight? She asks the other demon realm kids. Willow steps forward, "I and Hunter will be taking them trick or treating and making sure that they don't cause too much trouble." Camilla, "Moi Blano, glad to know you are still the responsible one Willow." She then gives Hunter a hug. "Thanks Camilla," he says in response. As usual Luz and Amity are going as Azura and Heckati. While Eda, Lilith, Camilla, Alidor, Darius, Rain, Eberwolf, Steve, and the other adults members of the CATS have their own Halloween party at Camilla's house.

But before they can do any of that. Camilla gets an emergency phone call. Camilla startled as it's the emergency number wondering 'what could it be about?' She answers, "Hello, yes. Oh my goodness," she shouts. Luz asks, "What is it Mama?" Camilla turns to Vee to say, "Vee it's Masha They're in the hospital. They said They tried to kill Themself." Vee, "Not Masha!" Alarmed as she continues to says, "This was the night I was finally going to tell them how I really feel about them and hoping that I could be their girlfriend. We have to get to the hospital right now." "No argument there Camilla says an agreement." Turning to the others, "You all better stay here and just pass out candy to the trick or treaters as they come." Luz, "Mama we're coming too," says Luz as she gestures to their friends including EDA and king. Camilla, "All right. Everybody get in the car and let's get going."

They arrive at the hospital. Then Amity tells the group. "Guys I sense something here and I don't like it." Lilith then says in response, "I too feel something not is right here. Almost similar to the feeling I got whenever I was around bellows." Amity then says a response, "That can't be good."

They go in and Camilla is greeted by Masha 's parents. Who are almost frantic. Masha's Mom Sara, "I don't know why they would do this." She begins to hyperventilate. Camilla takes her hands and says, "Calm down. Getting anxious is not going to help them or anyone. Now tell me what happened?" Masha 's father Theodore, "We don't know. They went to the party with some friends. Then the next thing we hear they go all berserk and attack their friends and other people there. Acting like some sort of beast. Then they actually climb to the top of the museum's roof and tries to jump off of it. Fortunately, there were people there that were able catch them, but then they go all snarling at those that saved them, and fighting them to try and do it again. So, someone had to wrestle them to the ground and restrain them, but now they've has calmed down. Though they're still acting well like they are fighting against something in or someone unseen. Sara then says, "I knew they're obsession with the occult would mess them up and ruin them. Vee then comes in, "Mr. and Mrs. Martalsky. Is Masha OK?" Oh yes V," says Sara. "We don't know yet but she's in an isolation room home on the 4th floor for their own safety." Vee then implores them, "Please I need to see them." Theo then tells Vee, "All right, but be in for a shock. They are not acting like themselves. If anything, they're acting like someone different." He says with a tone of deep concern.

The group arrives at room 418 and find Masha in a witch's costume, but with deep scratches on their face swaying their head side to side then rising up out up and off the bed mattress before falling back down again and going limp.

Vee rushes up and takes their hand. Masha, Masha, please take it easy it's me Vee. Then Masha says with their eyes closed. "Masha Martalsky is not here. Please leave a message after the beep." Before then just saying beep… Vee then asks again, "Masha?" Slowly rising up Masha then says again is a hateful tone, "I told you Marsha is not," then they opened their eyes and they are all bright burning red like burning coals behind the eyes before shouting with a gutteral male voice, "here! Get out of here now!"

This makes everyone take a step back in shock as Masha then laughs maniacally in a non-human voice. Before falling back down on the bed opening their eyes again and they are normal this time. They then rubbed their head and asks, "Vee is that you?" Vee in quick response, "Masha, Is that you?" "I think so... wait where am I?" Camilla comes forward. "You are in the Gravesfield hospital." "Why?" Marsha asks perplexed. Their mother Sara then comes forward to tell them, "Because you tried to kill yourself and you attacked everyone who tried to help you like you were some rabid animal." Marsha then surprises everybody by saying, "I must have blacked out. Then looking up They notice Eda and Lilith. Masha, "Vee, who are they? "They are friends," Vee says in reassurance. Masha 's father comes forward to ask, "Honey do you remember anything?"

"I remember I was at the park party. I then heard rustling in the bushes. I found a girl who was acting like she was fighting with someone unseen. Then I heard a strange voice come out of her mouth that sounded almost like a man. Then without even thinking about it I said and commanding tone whatever and whoever you are leave this child alone. If you want somebody take me. Then nothing else after that everything is just basically a blank."

Vee then asks Masha, "You mean you don't remember shouting at me saying that you aren't here." "Why would I say that?" And, then they start rubbing the temples of their head. "My head it's throbbing I…" Their mood changes suddenly shouting in a mans voice, "I will rip out your insides." Then they shift back to themselves, "I will not." Shifting again, "I will tear you all to pieces and bury you in that piles of crap." "No," "you are too weak." "These are my friends and family". She then falls on the floor and pleads, "Help me please. No," she begins rolling on the floor, "Get out of my head," they shout, "Silence!" Before that guttural voice then says, "Thee only one who shall be silent will be you. For at precisely midnight tonight you die. And shall spend eternity in Hell!"

Then a doctor comes in a Doctor Michael Gracemen, "Hello folks, I am doctor Michael." Looking straight at Masha he says in a gentle tone, "Don't worry Masha help has arrived." Then the voice says, "You cannot deny me my right this time Michael. This one soul is mine." "No they are not yours to take." Marsha then leaps at him before being repelled away and goes limp again with Vee and Theo catching them.

Their mother Sara is still frantic asks doctor, "What's wrong with them?" A nurse comes in named Grace along with another doctor a Dr. Gabriel. Marsha then says, "You know the rules two is company 3 is a crowd. You all better get out of here. This is between me and Mikey. "Wrong it's between us, Creator, and you," says Gabe.

Grace the nurse tells the group, "All their medical scan results have come back normal. There's nothing physically wrong with them and looking at our psychology history they have never shown this kind of behavior in their past." Theo then asks, "Then what are we really dealing with?" The voice, "Not what? Who are you dealing with?" The room then begins to shake as Masha with the hateful tone from a male's voice says, "I am something superior to all of you small thing. That I am beyond your pitifully feeble comprehension." Before the whole building shakes like it's been hit by an earthquake. All the windows and mirrors on the floor exploded and shatter and then all the lights go out. When the lights come back on Masha is gone then they hear people screaming as the sound of a roaring lion runs down the hall.

Doctor Michael tells Grace, "Keep the parents here and help them to understand. Gabe you Camilla, Luz, Amity, Vee, Eda and Lilith you're with me." Lilith then asks perplexed, "How do you know our names? Gabe, "No time to explain we need to find Masha fast. Before he destroys them."

Marsha 's parents ask Grace, What the Hell is going on?!" Sara, "It's like they've become some kind of monster." Grace, "I'm afraid they have let evil in by their own free will without realizing it." "What?" asks Theo. Grace, "I don't have a lot of time so I'm going to get right to the point. Masha does not have split personality disorder. And by the grace of God the creator. There are doctors who can help those who do. But for some people in this world. Their lives have been gripped by something so terrible, so malicious, so insidious, so undeniably evil in nature and intention. That nothing but the grace of God can save them."

"What are you talking about?" Asks Sara. Grace, "Masha is possessed by an evil entity. By the devil himself." The father goes "That's insane," in response. Grace, "This is not a joke. This is not something born of flesh and blood. This is a battle against the Prince of darkness and the king of lies. It starts with a little silent whisper. A suggestion of evil you don't even take seriously. But then it whispers again and you listen hard this time. Then you're doing everything you can to see if you can hear it again. Then before you know it you've let it fully enter yourself. That's what we are really dealing with. We are facing off against the rulers of darkness in opposition to the heavenly realms. By the one who is the embodiment of absolute hatred who wants and only wants one thing. To destroy you, to destroy Masha, to destroy everything that our creator loves. This is a battle that can only be fought and won through faith in them."

Sara then it says, "But that's impossible. There's no such thing as the devil." Grace then interjects you see what a good job he does. That's his greatest lie and deception is making you believe that he does not exist. Now that you know what we're really up against. It's time to face the devil. Come on." She leads the parents as Theo says to Sara, "This is insane."

Meanwhile the others find Masha down in the boiler room. Trying to turn up the temperature in the furnace. Eda and Lilith then use their restored magic to get the steel cable to ensnare them and secure them to the wall. Then Masha goes limp again before slowly opening their eyes and to everyone's shock makes the steel cables melt off of them. Then causes the whole room to go black just as Masha 's parents enter in. With the doors slamming shut behind them. Luz makes a light spell that catches Masha's parents off guard. "Oh yeah, says Luz, "Magic is real too. See The thing is I'm a witch and this is Eda the owl lady my mentor who taught me about magic." Eda, then says, "Actually Luz taught me just as much about magic from glyphs as I did her."

Then Masha 's parents look up and see Masha to their shock floating in the midair. With eyes glowing intense red. The air suddenly turns ice cold. The demon begins speaking through them to say, "I was the light bearer, the day star, and the head celestial. But I was cast out because They did not approve that I was not content to play second fiddle to you're kind. I was the first and greatest of their creation. And yet they saw you as equal in their love if not more deserving than me. That's why I and 1/3 of heaven rebelled. Yet I was cast out. Forced to walk this earth as the lowest of the low. Now the darkness is my dominion. You pitiful little things. So desperately clinging to the light that comes off from your sun, moon, and stars. Which eventually die and lose their light forever. As shall all the stars one day and only that darkness shall remain. With the only light coming from me."

Lilith then asks, "Who are you? I demand identify yourself?" The devil in response, "You already know my name." EDA that asks, "What do you want?" The devil, "You will die here all of you. This hospital basement shall be your tomb." Theodore in an authoritative tone asks, "Well then tell me this. If you are the devil then which one are you? Because we've all been very busy. There are almost as many religions as there are stars in the night sky. Christianity with Catholicism Lutheranism and Mennonites. Judaism Muslim Hindu Buddhism paganistics wickens Church of the tramps. So tell me which devil are you?" "All of them!" He shouts. Theo, "So then what you're the truth behind the myth." The Devil, "This one knows me as I know him. The little boy still desperate for mommy and daddy's approval." Lilith then asks, "You said you were first and greatest creation. When did that happen?" "Before time." "What does before time mean?" "Before time light, matter, energy, and dimension as you know it were brought into existence. Before the singularity. Before your world was even born. My story began before the birth of what you now know as the material physical existence." "That's not possible. No life could exist before then." "Is that what your religion teaches?" "It's a belief." "You know nothing you understand nothing. You're all so small and all I desire is for this carcass to be buried along with all of you. The Clawthorn sisters, so eager to please and advance that one curses the other and made it so that both could no longer do magic." Focus shifting to Camilla, "The loving mother who failed her daughter." Focus on Sara, "The scientist still running from daddy's tantrums." Then the focus is on Amity. "The privileged child who still is scared of becoming her mom." Focus then shifts onto Vee, "The experiment who is only a specimen to be dissected." Then finally landing on Luz, "And the young human witch who has committed the sin of sexual immorality in the eyes of their creator. Who is the least deserving of mercy because of the role she played in helping one of my best aids in the quest to destroy what creator has made. Who will soon die in battle."

Luz asks Eda, "Eda what does that mean?" Eda, "Luz don't listen." Luz, "What does it mean?" The Devil, "You will all die and I shall be victorious."

He then fills the room with the roars of lions. With Michael, Gabriel, and Grace stepping in and shining their light. This makes Masha flinch back in pain. Grace then speaks, "Masha I know you can hear me. You have to listen. You have to know that everything he is saying is a lie to make you believe that you all alone in all this, but you are not. For I have been in the presence of the creator. I have been warmed by the light of their love. I have stood in awe of their majesty. I live in their wisdom. I am an Angel. The chief Angel of death, and while my mission is usually to bring the departed back home to the Kingdom. I am also sent to tell those who need to hear that it is not their time. That they still need to live to fulfill the purpose for which they were created for by their own choice. I am an Angel and so too are Michael and Gabriel for they are the archangels. But I and the rest of us cannot save you. No Angel, no demon, nor which or magic can save you only the creator can. The holy trinity and the perfect relationship. The one who is also many. Whose name is was and will always be I AM. Reach up out for them. Call on Them. Ask them to help you let them lift you up."

The devil roars again a lot louder this time.

Masha's parents turn away and try to run away from this. Only for Gabriel to appear in their path. Sara, "No it can't be true it it can't be…" Gabriel, "It is true all of it. We are the real archangels. Your child is possessed by Lucifer, Satan, the fallen star, the devil himself. And there is no power in this world of man, witch, angel, or demon that can save this childs soul. Only faith in the Lord can." Theo, "If you really are who you say you are then give them your faith." Gabriel, "Angels don't need faith. Theo, we have seen the creator." People have faith, it's the evidence of things that they cannot proven with their limited senses. And you keep it alive every single day by praying and giving thanks to the Lord, but sometimes… sometimes you need somebody to be willing to put a stake in the ground so that you both don't get blown away when the winds come. Someone or people who have enough faith to share."

During this time while Gabriel is talking with Masha 's parents. Luz, Amity, Vee, EDA, and Lilith make the mistake of looking the possessed Masha in the eyes. All of them are then thrown into a dark void. Where each of them is being tormented by their past, faults, and shortcomings. As though they are also being burned, attacked, and torn apart. Chopped into pieces and all over again and yet unable to scream. Seeing and screaming in total silence and darkness.

Luz being attacked by accusations. "Do you not remember the commandment thou shalt not commit adultery or engage in sexual immorality. Which meant no same sex relations. You think yourself good, but you are already an enemy of them because you chose to become a witch instead of turning to them first. And a bisexual lesbian at that. That makes you the least deserving human being to receive any of their blessing. Why would any just and merciful holy creator ever want to have a bisexual witch like you in their Kingdom? You are also a big part of the reason why your friends and their families were put in danger and why people's lives were destroyed as a result of Philip Witibane. And what will your daddy think of you and your life choices."

Luz is then confronted by a vision of her father who looks at her with disdain, "You are no daughter of mine. Good I can't even look at you." She is then surrounded by a mob of people throwing rocks shouting witch, witch, witch, you're a witch, witch, witch, you're a witch, witch, witch. Then she finds herself tied to a steak with the mob of people around her and a minister says, "Luz Noceda you have been found guilty of practicing the art of witchcraft and have committed sexual immorality in the eyes of our lord Jesus. As such you are sentenced to die by being burned. Your death by fire shall purify our community and that you shall be sent to the hell where you witch's and your master Satan belong." Trying to shout for mercy only for no words to come out of her mouth as she is consumed in flames.

Amity as a child again being punished by her mother calling her, "Worthless! I wish you were never born."

Eda facing off against the owl beast again. This time not able to get out of the dream. Then finding herself as the owl beast again about to attack Luz and King, but this time she kills her and eats them against her will and there is nothing she can do to stop it. Silently screaming, "No!"

While Lilith finds herself back as the head of the Emperor's Covens. Finding herself in a witches duel and losing. Turning into her own beast form and the crowd shouting 'monster!' The Emperor's Coven scouts surrounding her and blasting her on all ends. Before being petrified, fully conscious and aware but unable to move or say anything. With the other petrified criminals saying without moving their mouths, "Now you share the same fate as you helped deliver to all of us." This makes Lilith stone face start to cry tears from her stoney eyes because she knows their right.

Vee then in her true form stands before Masha who flinches in terror and Vee says, "Masha please it's me Vee…" Only for Masha to say, "No! Stay away, get away from me you monster." "What? No! Masha, I'm not a monster. Yes, I may be a basilisk from the demon realm, but I am not a monster I… I love you." "Well, I don't. Whatever made you think that I could ever love a monster like you." Tearing up Vee pleads again, "No! I am not a monster." She then suddenly finds herself back in the castle back in the lab where she's on a table. Surrounded by cadavers of the other basilisks. Mouth sealed shut as a scientist begins to say, "It's your turn now #5. Let's see what makes you tick." With Vee screaming in silence, "No! Please! Somebody help me."

Luz feeling like she's nothing but a pile of burnt ashes asks to herself. "Oh please somebody help me. What do I do?" Then she hears a still silent voice saying "Pray." "What?" Luz says in response. "Just pray." "I don't know how." "Remember." "Remember what?" Then she starts hearing the score from the film version of the hunchback of Notre Dame of God help the outcast. Then she says, "I don't know if you can hear me or even if you are listening. And I doubt you would want to listen to the prayers of someone like me. Yes, I know I do not deserve your love, your mercy, or your help. Because the devil is right in one respect. I'm not worthy of such wonderful things. I know that. But I still ask you to please forgive me for any and all my sins that I have made in your sight. That have made me fall short of your glory. Please be merciful to me. Please forgive me. "

Then she sees a light above her and blood dripping on her hands. She looks up and beholds the face of Jesus. "My dear sweet child. Many who claim to serve and follow me have forgotten what I came into the world to do. I came into the world not to judge and condemn the sinners, but to save them. The pay the debt that you could never pay. For that is what love is because that is who I Am. For what you do to the least among you. You have also done to me. You have done well my little light. It only takes one little light to make the darkness flee."

Luz kisses his feet then the space becomes lit up and she sees Amity, Vee, Eda, and Lilith. Whom they also see Jesus. Before vanishing, as he says, "What's been done is done and over. There is no need to dwell further on what has already come to pass. For all can be restored, redeemed, and all can and will be forgiven. But only if you truly repent and hold yourself accountable for the things you have done and forgiveness shall be given to you all."

They then find themselves back in the boiler room as Masha 's parents reenter. With their dad first saying, "Masha if you can hear me follow my voice as I tell you this. I was wrong." Sara, "We both were wrong about so many things. We're sorry we didn't try to understand you or why you liked the things you do." Theodore even holds out a Bible for which he then just throws to the side. He says, "This not where faith comes from. Real faith is not found in the pages of a book. It is simply the writings of those who did find their faith." He puts his hands upon his heart, "Real faith comes from in here." Sara, "We have faith in you, in magic, and in the Creator. Now you need to have faith. Faith that there is an all-powerful all good being who does want to help you and desires to be in a real relationship with you." Theo, "I mean look," Gesturing to the angels, "They've already sent their angels and the greatest angels in fact. They are not giving up on you so don't you give up on yourself." Micheal then adds, "Your parents speak truth. Reach up in faith to your creator. Tell them that you're sorry that you didn't trust them. Tell them that you need them now. Ask I Am to deliver you. Ask and you shall receive."

The Devil continues to resist shouting, "You can't make me leave. I was invited in." Grace, "That's right you were invited in, but you can't stay where you're not wanted. Masha, please ask I Am to help you. Call upon their name and ask them to deliver you and you will be.

Masha struggling greatly says, "Oh please great father, mother, and friend. Help me please. I'm sorry about everything, please save me."

Gabriel, "Glory be to the one whose name was is and shall always be I am." The devil then with a great shout and roar shouts, "No!" Which causes the whole building to shake like it's been hit by another earthquake.

Then Michael, Gabriel, and Grace all in commanding authoritative tone declare, "Lucifer who has become Satin the adversary. You are commanded to leave this child now and forever by the authority of the Great I Am. You are commanded to say glory be too I am and their Eternal Kingdom of glory as proof that you are leaving and then get out."

Resisting as much as he can, but to no avail he painfully, "Says glory be too I am and there eternal Kingdom of glory." Masha then raises their head up and with a great roar the devil leaves them. Masha collapses on the floor while the devil then reappears. As a man of tainted light saying, "Don't think this matters. You may have saved this one soul but the war is far from over. For you can't save those who do not want to be saved. I Am's love for them is their greatest weakness and that is why I am going to win in the end."

Gabriel in response, "True to form that the king and father of lies still believing and forever remaining a prisoner of his own lie. Whose final destiny is to ultimately loose. "

With a maniacal fading chuckle he just says, "See you later."

Sara asks, "Is he really gone?" Michael then steps in, "For now but he's never truly gone. For that is the real danger about him and those who follow him." Gabriel, "Indeed for the greatest danger about evil is that while it can and will be defeated in the end. The danger of evil and thus The Devil is never truly gone. For the true price of freedom is eternal vigilance. And in this battle, you all acted magnificently."

Grace, "You each faced your shortcomings, your greatest sins, and your greatest fears. Now you have come out of this stronger and more sure of who you are and what you stand for than you were before. For by your actions, you have shown that you really do have the spirit of the living eternal creator alive within each of you."

Just then Masha returns to consciousness. Everyone gathers around them have asking Masha you OK. Marsha looking up at Vee and her parents. "Mom dad, he's really gone I know it. He's really gone now. You never stopped. You never gave up on me." They jump in and hug her as they say, "You're our child. Of course, we would not give up on you and we never will. We're just sorry we didn't tell you sooner." Masha, "And neither did they." Micheal, "They never did." Gabriel, "They never will." Grace, "Ever."

Then Masha turns their attention to Vee and asks her, "I'm not sure if I was really aware of what was going on but I thought I heard you say you're a basilisk. Or was that just another deception by him." Vee then says to her amazement, "No, it is true." She then shapes shifts into her true form. Then opening her eyes asks, "Well? I can understand if you don't want to associated with a monster like me…" Masha takes her hand and looking into hers with gentle eyes says, "I think snakes are beautiful as are you whether you're human basilisk or whatever else you choose to be I love all of you." They hung and then to Vee's shock Masha kisses her right on the lip.

Everyone's attention then turns to the angels as Michael says, "This is where we must leave you now." Then Luz ask, "Wait, before you go can you tell us anything else? Does I am have a message?" Gabriel in response says, "Yes and it is simply this. Well done my good and faithful servants and friends. Keep your sight fixed on the light upon the straight and narrow path that leads to eternal glory. And while you may stumble and fall. Never stop yourself from keeping on that path and continue to keep moving forward with every little step. For you shall receive a crown of everlasting life that will never diminish or fade away even beyond the end of time as you know it." And then just like that they fade out of sight.

Everyone gathers around Marsha and gives her them a big hug. Before heading back out into the night under the light of full moon Looking up and ahead with renewed hope and resolve to make a better tomorrow.
