"I here by sentence you the death penalty, Izuku Midoriya."
The judge stated, banging down the gavel. The air was tense that night, after a 5 hour long trial, the teens sentence was concluded. Nobody dared speak. They just stared at the blank faced person in awe.
He didn't have the slightest bit of remorse, he was more disappointed with the amount of time the trial took, to give such an obvious sentence. He knew he was bad, but he wasn't an idiot. He valued his time.
Though, how did a boy, so innocent become one of Japan's most wanted? Not only was he the head of the underground yakuza, he had allied with the infamous league of villains to carry out heinous crimes such as murdering countless heroes. Stealing billions of yen. Unlawful use of quirks. Destruction of property. Arson. and many more.
This... Is the story of how Izuku, a teen boy had managed to become a major crime lord, and his journey to his death sentencing.
Like any normal boy, Izuku grew up idolizing heroes, aspiring to be one when he grew up. He always stayed on top of his school work and always attended even when he was sick.
He was dedicated and hopeful. Though in a world so demanding, the title of pro hero was impossible for him.
Without any quirk of his own he was shunned by most of his peers, they saw him as fragile and shy. He was picked on for his quirklessness which made the boy sad obviously, but determination and hope kept him going every day.
Though, you can't keep feeding a dying flame. As he became a teen he began clinging on to hope for dear life. He studied heroes, their moves and strategies, in hopes he could use them.
He was smart, but not very strong or much of a fighter, so he never develouped his body. This led to him being practically defenseless, and even more isolated from his peers.
The day he lost all hope was like any other to begin with, go through the first few periods of class, pay attention, don't say a word. This day job applications were being handed out, though were shoved aside, as everyone wanted to be heroes.
People laughed at Izuku at the unsurprising realization that he couldn't be a hero without a quirk. The teen tried speaking up, in order to defend himself. But to no avail, in fact it only got worse when Katsuki Bakugo, his classmate and former friend from childhood friend blew up his desk.
He was pushed into a wall and threatened, nobody thought about saving him, simply put. He was saddened but he was used to this stuff, it happens.
After school, Izuku was cornered by the same classmate, accompanied by some irrelevant lackeys. He was ragged on and laughed at, they grabbed his notebook and burnt it to smithereens, tossing it out of a window and into the school fountain.
Izuku managed to recover his book, but it was in bad shape... He walked home holding back tears, trying his best to stay optimistic. Though he had his first stroke with death, as a villain attacked him.
He was saved by All Might in the nick of time. He thanked the hero but had one more question.
"Could I be a hero without a quirk?"
What All Might said shattered the teens heart and sense of hope. Though it brought him to reality in a sense, though the answer should've been obvious from the start.
For the remainder of the day, All Might's words haunted him, each repeat of his answer weighing more and more into his emotions. On the way home, he bore witness to a villain attack.
He joined the crowd, onlooking the disaster ensue. The villain wreaked havoc while destroying every hero in his path. Columns of black smoke wafted into the sky as raging fires overwhelmed the shopping district the attack was happening at.
The thing that baffled and confused Izuku personally was the striking resemblance the villain had to the one that attacked him earlier. But... All Might caught it!
After a bit of thinking Izuku concluded that this was his fault. He hugged onto All Might's leg as he jumped into the air and perhaps the bottle the villain was in fell. All Might was right.
He'd only be a hindrance to others and himself.
Upon even closer inspection, Izuku noticed a person wrapped in the villain's slimy tendrils, fighting for their life. It only struck Izuku that this was someone he knew. Katsuki.
Without thinking his body started moving, the teen darted hastily through the fire with no control over his body. Remembering his notes, he blinded the villain by tossing his backpack into his face.
It stalled him for some time but even that was futile in getting his classmate out as the villain's amorphous structure made it hard to claw him out of the grip.
The villain had recovered from Izuku's attack and prepared his own, raising a tendril into the air, getting ready to slam it into his pathetic body.
Izuku saw the attack and covered his face and organs, bracing for impact. Nothing came though. He looked up and saw a man in a black hoodie, weilding a chipped katana and a combat knife. He didn't look like any hero Izuku knew.
The arm whip was removed in an instant and the hooded man had pinned the villain down, driving his combat knife into his eye. Shrieks of pain emitted from the villain's mouth as blood spurted from the eye.
The man flicked his tongue across his bloodied blade and oddly enough, the villain was paralyzed.
"I hate amorphous fuckers like you. It's hard to make use of my quirk or my weapons. Seems like you weren't as big a deal as I thought though."
The man spoke, taunting the villain. Katsuki was freed thanks to the pain of the villain and his paralysis thereafter.
The man then proceeded to jab his katana into the same eye the villain had been stabbed in prior, jamming it into his brain, killing the villain on the scene. Heroes tried catching the hooded man but he disappeared as suddenly as he arrived.
The clean up crew, as well as a slew of police, fire trucks and ambulances cruised in on the scene to fix things up. Katsuki was unconscious but nothing else really. Some cpr was needed to give his brain oxygen but otherwise he was okay.
Izuku was fine as well, nothing happened to him thanks to the hooded man. Though heroes still scolded the hell out of him, calling him a reckless idiot with a death wish.
Katsuki was praised for his strength and bravery, as well as his display of power. He was the one who technically lit everything on fire.
After all things were said and done, everyone was sent home.
On the way home he was confronted by Katsuki who looked pisssssssedddd.
"Deku! Why the fuck did you try saving me?? You thought I couldn't take that villain on?! I fucking had him!!"
The spikey haired boy ranted angrily before storming off into the sunset, grumbling to himself. Honestly with all the bad things that happened, that was one of the least bad. Despite that, it only made his feelings of worthlessness and loss even stronger.
He really didn't do much but get him and Katsuki saved...
As Izuku continued walking, he was stopped by another familiar man in All Might. He dashed in front abruptly, trying to maintain his eccentric and boisterous persona. Though his true form came out after the slide as blood spewed from his mouth.
He was no longer smiling. All Might couldn't keep up that optimism. Him and Izuku sighed at the same time.
In short, All Might lectured Izuku on crap he had been hearing all day, telling him he would have died had that man not stepped in. He concluded his speech and left.
Izuku continued once more but his road was met with yet another individual. The hooded man from earlier.
"How many times is this going to happen..?"
Izuku muttered to himself as he looked at the man. He had no weapons in his hands, they were out of his pockets to express he came in peace, supposedly.
"You're a true hero kid. Y'know that? You may not think it but not everybody has that... instinct to just save someone. Your average person will refuse to step in out of fear of getting hurt... Or embarrassed. But you didn't care."
The man said, his deep and rough sounding voice radiating a tone of respect and admiration.
"I-I guess I don't have much to lose at this point. With how you killed that villain, it seems you didn't either."
Izuku replied with the slightest bit of uneasiness and uncertainty.
"Well... It isn't a matter of having nothing to lose. But rather, you had nothing to gain in that moment. The idea of heroism has become so skewed nowadays.. Most only do it for money and fame, it makes their drive selfish in nature and it makes them weak in practice."
The man stated his beliefs. Izuku took a moment to think about the ramifications of his words, starting to see his point. Everyone in his class wanted to be heroes just cause it was the cool thing to do, most weren't even suited for the job...
The heroes at the scene earlier seemed to value their life and their job more than other people's lives, they gave up far too soon. They knew they lost and didn't stand a chance, so why try? To protect people they don't know and don't like?
"I kinda see your point.. Though I'm quirkless and incapable of fighting. I'd only hurt myself and others if I became a hero..."
Izuku mentioned, looking at the ground in shame.
"Quirkless hm? I might as well be such myself. People fall into temporary paralysis when I digest some of their blood. It's not great cause other than that I'm a normal person with slightly above average strength, not much I can do to close the distance or break through certain tanking quirks."
The man replied with a brisk sigh. He pulled out a knife, staring into its reflection.
"You ought to be bullied, I can tell by the way you carry yourself. Your slumped shoulders, your downward gaze, meek and hesitant way of speaking, self depricating speech. I was a bit of an outcast myself..."
He continued with his speech.
"I grew up in an environment that didn't care to back me up when I was alone though. So I grew to fight for myself and what I believe in. Hell, with such a useless quirk, I've managed pretty well. Most people wouldn't dare mess with me. If nobody is going to fight for you and be a man for you. Be a man for yourself and fight."
The man concluded, staring at Izuku directly, revealing his lack of a nose, and his hauntingly elongated face. Izuku tried not to flinch before replying.
"I'd get in trouble though... And it would go on my record... My mom wouldn't be very happy."
"Mm.. I never had parents so I can't really empathize with ya there... I've been a bad guy for far too long to care about my record. Though for a bright kid like you, maybe fighting ain't such a great idea... So do whatever I guess... See ya.."
The man said, peeling himself off the wall he was leaning on before beginning to walk away.
"Wait! Do you think I could be a hero? Like if I trained like you?? Uhh.. I know I'm quirkless but if I put in enough work and apply myself, maybe I can amount to something!"
Izuku said, that dying flame being briefly reignited by the hooded man. He wanted to believe that he could actually go about saving people like a real hero after all. Through all of today's doubt, he fount one person who believed in him somewhat!
"Mm.. Maybe, not gonna train you myself though. You couldn't handle it in a million years. You'll probably need a weapon though so here."
The man said, tossing a knife Izuku's way. The boy didn't dare try to catch the sharp object with his bare hands. That's a good way to meet All Might christ.
The knife clattered on the ground, making an abrupt noise that made the two wince.
"U-uh should I even pick this up? It has your finger prints on it..."
Izuku mentioned reluctantly.
"Seems like you do have a brain. Don't touch weapons that aren't yours. It's a good way to get put in prison even if you're innocent."
The man said with an amused smirk.
"It kinda seems like you're training me.."
Izuku replied sarcastically.
"Just seeing if you had common sense. Now gimme my weapon."
Izuku lightly kicked it over. It spun on the ground towards the man, who caught it with his foot, and picked it up by hand, hiding it in his pocket.
"I'll train you... Just set a time and a place."
The man said with a sigh.
"Err... I'm not good at locations. What will you even be teaching me?"
Izuku questioned, tilting his head.
"How to be the closest thing to be a human weapon. Just be sure it's secretive. Can't do too much in a 5 star restaurant or a mall."
The man said.
"Uhhh... Okay then.. I think I have a place in mind.."
Izuku said, telling the man the location and a time they could meet, which was obviously the weekend.
"Alright... Guess I'll see ya then."
The man said, waving Izuku off and walking away.
Izuku smiled warmly, glad to have some sort of guidance in these trying times. He headed home, looking foward to the weekends more than ever. He genuinely believed that he could really be a hero after all..
Author's note: yo, new villain deku fanfic just dropped so fans rejoice. I don't see enough of these that aren't just fetishized bakudeku shipping nonsense. I want to make an iconic story akin to other great villain Deku fics like Mightless and the such.
Sorry that the pacing at first is a bit scuffed. I wanted to go for a more narrarator type beat at first like an autobiography of sorts which would transition into the actual story with proper dialogue (mainly to glaze over parts we already know from the original MHA). Though I doubt I did a great job at conveying that feeling lol.
I don't know how consistent this will be unfortunately, so I may end up never finishing the story or even getting through the first arc... I've been trying to create a villain deku fanfic for the longest time now, though life always creeps up on me and depression takes over.
I want to make something though, I love the villain deku au as it has so much potential and interesting possibilities that just get thrown away in exchange for cringe ass shipping in most stories.
I want to make an entertaining and awesome story with epic moments as well as moments of intrigue and emotion. And I'm not popular or creative enough to just make an original story, so I'm using this au and my own ideas to make a kinda but not really original story lol.
Anyways, stay tuned for the next update. I'll get to work on it as soon as possible but right now I need sleep, and school is in 4 hours so... buh bye for now.
