Two Uncles And A Cute Baby

"And you're out!" Rachel cried out as she landed on her feet, strumming her green electric guitar and sending a shockwave that knocked Bruiser Cruiser off his feet while Fiesta backed her up with his own attacks, knocking the chompies back. The villains quickly retreated and the mabu cheered for the Portal Master and her undead musical partner. Both waved and headed back for the Academy courtesy of Rachel's telekinesis.

"Well, that was exciting, huh, Amigo?" The Tech/Fire Portal Master asked.

"Yeah, it was," he said. "And we have just enough time to get back home so that Skelepyre and I can celebrate our anniversary."

Rachel smiled and handed him an envelope. He opened it and was shocked to see what was inside. "A reservation to that restaurant that's I've been wanting to take Skelepyre to and a hotel reservation at that one I've heard so much about?" He asked in shock.

The blonde-haired girl smiled. "Yup," she said. "That way you two can enjoy a wonderful anniversary. And don't worry about Twilight. A certain elf and a certain skeleton agreed to babysit her while you took Skelepyre out tonight."

Fiesta looked surprised. "You mean Frightful and Rider?" He asked.

"Same ones," she said.

"But...how did you...?" He trailed off.

Rachel chuckled. "Well, our Portal Master group had helped the owners of the restaurant and hotel before and they said to just call us whenever we wanted to eat at the restaurant or stay at the hotel," she said. "So I called and when they heard it was your anniversary, they said they would pull out all the stops for you two."

Fiesta smiled. "Thank you, Amiga," he said. "I don't know how I got lucky to have a kind Portal Master, but I appreciate it."

"You're welcome, Amigo," she said as they made it to the Academy. "Now go find your lady and go enjoy a lovely evening."

She gave the skeleton a playful, yet gentle, push to where Fiesta and Skelepyre stayed with their daughter Twilight and he chuckled, going to find his lady, who smiled as she saw him. "Hi, handsome," she said.

"Hello, beautiful," he said, giving her a kiss. "Let's go somewhere tonight. Just the two of us. Your brother and Frightful will be here soon to pick up Twilight."

Just then, a knock came to the door and Skelepyre opened it to see her brother and Fiesta's brother. "Hi, guys," she said, hugging them. "What's this I hear about you two coming to pick up Twilight?"

"Well, it's your anniversary, sis," Rider said, smiling. "And I know your guy got a great night planned for you. So Frightful and I are going to watch over our cute little niece while you go spend some time with your lover who treats you like a queen."

"Of course. She is his queen after all," Frightful said with a smile.

Skelepyre smiled before looking worried. "Are you both sure?" She asked.

"We're sure, Skelepyre," Frightful replied, hugging her. "I know you're protective of your daughter, but so are we. I promise we'll keep her safe."

"You and Fiesta haven't really had a date in a good while," Rider said. "And from what we heard, you're in for a real treat, sis."

Skelepyre looked at her man, who smiled at her and hugged her. "Twilight will be quite safe with her uncles, my queen," he said reassuringly. "And Rachel's here too at the Academy."

She took a deep breath and nodded before looking at the other two. "You two promise she'll be safe?" She asked.

"We promise, sis," Rider said and Frightful nodded.

"Okay."

Twilight squealed happily at seeing her uncles and they smiled. "Who's a little adorable button?" Rider cooed to her, making her giggle.

"She is definitely cute as a button," Frightful said.

Fiesta smiled. "Thank you, you two," he said as he and Skelepyre headed out after saying a farewell to their child.

Rider lifted Twilight up over his head and she giggled happily, holding her arms out like airplane wings. "Button coming in for a landing!" The elf said, making airplane noises and making Twilight 'fly' to her uncle Frightful, who accepted her from the elf.

"There's my adorable niece," he cooed. "You know, I never thought I would be an uncle when Fiesta and I became Skylanders."

"Same here," Rider said, though looking a bit sad. "I didn't know my sister was still alive until our friends found her and Twilight."

Frightful nodded. "I know how you feel," he said. "When I first learned of Fiesta having left, I got worried too, but then I learned he was a Skylander. When we were reunited and he told me everything, I choose to join him as a Skylander so that we would never be that far away again."

Rider nodded. "And now look. We're uncles to a cute baby. Our cute little button."

"Is that going to be our nickname for her from now on?" Frightful asked.

"Why not? She likes it," Rider said, smiling at the baby. "You like your nickname, button?"

The baby giggled. "Alright, it's settled," the skeleton said as he and Rider took the child to the playground nearby the Academy. Rachel was nearby with Magna Charge and their two children and she smiled at the two.

"Spending time with your niece?" She asked.

"Yes, and loving every moment of being an uncle," Rider said as Frightful took Twilight over to the baby swings and gently set her in one of them, making sure she was secured before he gently pushed the swing into motion. Rider went over to help him and they took turns pushing their niece on the swing.

"Whee! You're flying, little button!" Frightful said, making his niece laugh.

"Look at you go!" Rider said, smiling as the baby continued laughing.

The rest of the day was eventful with the two taking Twilight to the lake too where she enjoyed the water and took a nap after lunch with her uncles watching over her. After her nap, she was full of energy and her two uncles took her back to the Academy where the mabu were putting up Halloween decorations, painting pumpkins, or doing other cute Halloween crafts.

"Hmm. Why don't you make something for your mommy and daddy, sweetie?" Frightful said.

"I bet they would love it," Rider said as they sat down at one of the craft tables where the mabu were making silly picture frames with cute jack-o-lanterns and skeletons. "Let's see what she picks."

Little Twilight, as if understanding, grabbed one of the wooden frames and gave it to her skeleton uncle, who took it and set it down in front of them. "Okay, what stickers now, kiddo?" Rider asked.

Twilight grabbed the cute skeletons and a few pumpkins, pointing to the sticker and then to the frame. Her two uncles helped her with decorating the frame and it looked quite cute when it was done. "Your parents are going to love this," Frightful said.

"How about pumpkin painting next?" Rider suggested.

The mabu doing those handed them a smock for the child and for them. "It can get a little messy," she said.

"Thank you," the skeleton said as Rider picked up a small pumpkin and Twilight selected some colors and painted her pumpkin happily while Rider held her in his lap and Frightful held up the paint cups so that Twilight could finger paint her pumpkin. She seemed surprised at first, but then had fun, making her uncles smile as messy handprints were all over the pumpkin at the end, but both the elf and skeleton thought it was adorable.

Another mabu set up a fun little obstacle course for the babies and kids and as soon as Rider set her down, Twilight was crawling eagerly in the obstacle course. The mabu made sure every child got a small plushie for completing the course and Twilight happily showed her uncles when they picked her up. "What did you get, Twilight?" Frightful asked.

She held up a cute plush bat. "Oh, you got a bat," Rider cooed happily. "It's as cute as you, little button."

"Looks like our baby had fun with her uncles," came a familiar voice and both turned to see Skelepyre and Fiesta, both smiling.

Twilight squealed happily and reached for her parents and Rider smiled, handing his niece over to her mother. "She had a great time," he said.

"Our little button is such a sweet angel," Frightful said before giving his brother the picture frame and the pumpkin. "Your daughter made these for you two."

"She did?" Fiesta asked, looking at them and smiling. "What a perfect picture frame and a cute little pumpkin."

"Oh, I know exactly where to put the pumpkin and what picture would be best for that cute frame," Skelepyre said before hugging her brother and brother-in-law. "Thank you both for watching Twilight today."

"No problem, sis," Rider said.

"We're more than happy to babysit her anytime," Frightful said.

Rachel smiled as she witnessed this, Magna Charge coming up to her a moment later. "That was sweet of you to give those reservations to Fiesta and Skelepyre, my proton," the Ultron said.

"I knew their anniversary was coming up and thought they would enjoy it at those places, especially after Fiesta told me he wanted to take his lady to that restaurant," she said.

He smiled and scooped her up, making her gasp before she chuckled a moment later. "What are you up to, my magnetic charge?" She asked.

"Just showing my lovely proton how much I love her," he said, kissing her.

At the same time, Skelepyre and Fiesta also kissed with their baby giggling happily in their arms.
