Hi, welcome to the 2nd in my Loki/OC series. Please go read Fidelity if you haven't already, or none of this will make much sense to you. Thank you to everyone who reviewed that story. After pretty much forgetting about this series, I finally feel ready to continue after reading all your words of encouragement. But, I can't promise regular updates. Thanks for reading!

It was beautiful somehow. She could see hundreds of millions of stars, yet she knew there were trillions more out of her reach. They were bright, lighting the way as she and her two companions traveled faster than most humans could imagine. Her eyes were not on their destination, but instead on the celestial objects around them.

There were so many planets and more asteroids than she could care to count. But she could feel them, somehow. Could feel the pulse of life that stretched out to her from only a few planets. She felt it all around her, the power of the universe. It was at her fingertips.

She reached out, her hand almost passing through the faint blue energy pushing her through space. Her pale hand stretched toward a cluster of planets before her. They seemed so close, like she could stroke her fingers across the surface. But reason told her that it was farther than she could dream.

She could feel the planets pulsing, the energy waiting for her to take hold. And she did, bringing that energy closer to her soul. It was a wonderful feeling, exotic. It was unlike the emotions she had ever felt before. She pulled it near, her eyes closing as the other-worldly feeling washed through her mind completely.

She opened her eyes to take in the beautiful sight once more. Before her, closer than it had been, was a single, beautiful planet. It was traveling ever closer, growing bigger in her eyes as she took in its glory. Oceans of sparkling blue, lush and green, just as she imagined Earth had been when she was born before man began to destroy it. She pulled the planet closer, wanting to see more details, wanting to know what it would be like to live on it. And then she realized what was happening, what she was doing.

Her hand jerked back towards her body, her eyes widening, not in awe, but in horror. The planet wasn't just moving closer to her, she was pulling it closer. She wanted to see it, had dragged it from its rightful spot in the universe.

It had seemed like an eternity, yet only a second after her feet had left the ground in New York, she was once again standing. Her knees buckled. A hand gripped her arm, steadying her, and she turned to look into blue eyes. The eyes that could hold such depth of emotion. He was happy, but also very sad. Her heart ached at the look.

Finally gaining her balance, she looked to where they had landed, studying the giant room she now occupied. Pillars stood proud in even columns on either side of the room. The ceiling was high and chandeliers hung in intervals. Rays of light threaded their way between the pillars, giving a magical aura to the room.

The three new arrivals had appeared in a ring of waiting guards, each wearing armor and helmets with horns. Spears were directed at the group, as well as shields raised to defend the wielder. More than two dozen armored men stood around them, each pair of eyes watching the group of three.

Thor, the taller of the two men, long blond hair hanging free and a hammer gripped in one hand, looked determined. His eyes were trained on a set of doors farther down the hall.

Loki, dark-haired, muzzled and cuffed, stared at the guards with narrow eyes. His body trying to protect the woman if they should attack.

But the woman, Sigyn, red hair flowing freely and shimmering gold in the sun, only had eyes for the room. She wasn't bothered by the cuffs on her wrists and didn't seem to notice that most of the guards were staring at her with obvious curiosity.

Thor turned to his two companions, the glass cylinder that held the glowing blue cube still clutched in his hand. One of the guards stepped forward, taking it from him. "Take that to the vault," he ordered. The guard nodded, holding it carefully in front of him as he hurried from the room, four more guards joining him. "And take these two to their cells."

At Thor's words, the remaining guards closed ranks around Loki and Sigyn as Thor exited the circle, walking towards the doors he had been staring at before.

The guards pushed Sigyn to stand behind Loki as the large group began to make its way down the halls. Sigyn gapped at each new area they entered, wanting to pause and look at the flowers in the courtyards, only to be pushed to keep up with Loki. In each new room they entered, Sigyn found something new to marvel at. Several times Loki looked over his shoulder, watching as Sigyn took in this new world around her. The slight crinkle around his eyes would have told her that he was smiling if she looked at him.

The group continued, going deep into the building, and descending stairs. They were led through a maze of cells, unlike Sigyn had ever seen. Instead of solid walls and doors, the walls were transparent, outlined in gold. Sigyn didn't know how the technology worked, but it obviously did its job by the number of armored and angry looking people inside them. The group stopped in front of an empty corner cell, one shimmering wall deactivated.

Two guards dragged Loki inside as another two took Sigyn to the next cell over, its outside wall deactivated. They dragged her up the steps, making her stumble, before removing the cuffs around her wrists and throwing her into the far wall.

Her mind lashed out automatically at the violence, creating both mental and physical daggers to spear towards the two men. Her mental daggers were faster, striking each of the two men just as the golden barrier was activated. The physical daggers shattered against the golden wall.

The two men staggered down the steps, each clutching their helmeted head, crying out in pain. Sigyn stood, lashing out again, only to find that her mental awareness only went as far as the barrier did. She let out a sound of frustration.

Sigyn dug deep into her mind, searching for anything that reached past the barrier, for that one rope of shimmering energy that always led her to Loki. It was there, shining as brightly as before. She pressed farther, searching to find the limits of the barrier. She could feel the odd churning sensation of sick thoughts and murderous minds in the cell to her left, and farther. But she couldn't feel anything beyond the golden wall, not the guards that now stood just outside, looking at her with varying degrees of anger and fear.

"Loki?" She whispered in her mind, gently tapping on that bond that held them together.

"I'm here," he answered.

Sigyn sighed in relief, knowing that whatever happened next at least he would be there with her.
