A castle somewhere in Japan is being pillaged and it was a cold winter day. A girl in a blue and white kimono, wielding a katana and a boy are running away from bandits. The bandit found them and the girl is trying to protect the kid. But when the bandit slashes his katana the girl clashes her katana with his. Guarding his attack and parrying. With her frail body the girl is out matched with him. But it turns out the bandit won, but the boy intervened and protected and injured in the processed.
The girl is out matched for the bandit and he killed her and buried her in the snow.
Days later, snowflakes rushing through her body it was a snowy cold night. The girl arose the snow and the Moon called her. She found the katana and when she unsheathed it, snow was coming out of it. And it jolted her. She can conjure snow powers with her katana and her hands. Travelers were coming to her way but they didn't noticed her and passed by to her, like a ghost.
The Moon called her Yuki Onna
