The Sun was slowly rising over the tree of life as all the animals were slowly beginning to awaken to start the day, this included the Night Pride,at least the day shift anyway,ever since the suggestion to take shifts for a night pride things have been much much easier for everyone Rani and her friends were always well rested, unlike the other times when they barely got any sleep at all which caused some problems but thanks to kion and the Lion guard joining them they now have extra pair of helping hands in the mission to protect the tree of life.
Bunga along with Beshte,Fuli, Anga and Ono stood proudly ready to begin their shift however Kion wasn't there which confused them as he always was the first one ready to rock and roll, "Hmm where's Kion,he's usually the first one here?"Bunga asked in confusion "Maybe he's still sleeping."Beshte said "well it's time to rise and shine,and protect the tree of life, I'll be right back."Bunga said as he began to travel to the tree of life as that's where Kion slept.
However he saw Baliyo approaching looking tired and ready to sleep "Hey Baliyo is Kion still asleep at the tree of life or you haven't went there?"bunga asked "Actually i did he left with Rani,i asked her where are they going and she just said none of my business, such rudeness."Baliyo scoffed with annoyance and he continued on his way.
Now Bunga was curious about what they were doing,but there was one way to find out to find them and ask them but where did they go? Bunga looked around for any kind of sign of them and then immediately paused as he saw something up in the treeline about 40 yards away, he saw two figures, one had red and yellowish tan colored fur and the other had brown colored fur, It too Bunga a few seconds to realize that what he was looking at was Kion and Rani.
Bunga immediately approached the king and Queen who both were at first oblivious to the honey badger coming towards them until Rani turned her head towards him. "Bunga what are you doing here?"Rani asked in slight surprise "I was looking for my leader,who is supposed to be with us getting ready for patrol."Bunga said giving Kion a look.
Kion gave Bunga a little guilty expression "Yeah sorry I'm going to be a little bit late for patrol,so you're in charge until i arrive."Kion said this made Bunga even more confused "Whoa whoa I'm in charge,wha why what are you going to do in the meantime?!"he asked.
"Not that it's your beeswax Bunga but we're going to be making love."Kion said as he looked behind him and saw a large bush "Wha...make love...like right now?"Bunga asked in bewilderment as this was the absolute worst time to do that "Yes now Bunga,you guys can manage without Kion's presence i have complete and utter fath in you Bunga."Rani said with sincerity.
"Well can i watch?"Bunga asked causing Rani to look at him with a disturbed expression "No you can't watch,is he serious?"Rani asked looking at Kion who just made a kinda gesture as he felt embarrassed with himself. "This is something that loving couples do...with each other...alone."Rani said trying to get the message across that Bunga needed to leave as he was bothering them and he had a shift to lead "So next time then?"Bunga asked Rani flexed her claws and dug into the dirt beneath her feet while an annoyed face appeared on her face "Ooh this Honey badger is playing with my patience."She growled in head Bunga gave Rani a bewildered look as she saw Rani had a Fuli face.
"Hey Fuli makes that same face every time i annoy her."Bunga said with a little smile "yah huh."Rani said under her breath now it was Kion's turn to try and make Bunga leave "Bunga please you can't stay here,go lead the day shift, I'll join you later."Kion said motioning for Bunga to leave which Bunga found a little bit hurtful.
"Good bye Bunga."Rani said firmly while giving Bunga a warning glare that said: if you're not gone within the next 5 seconds I'm going to hurt you very badly Bunga then left, Rani sighed with satisfaction and she looked back at Kion with a playful smile "Now shall we?"she asked Kion smiler then they both disappeared into the bush with the sounds of giggling coming from behind it.
However their time was about to be interrupted again by Bunga who came back to the same spot with a question "What should I tell them?"he asked curiously Rani's head poked through the bush and she spoke with a firmness that Bunga could tell she was getting a little agitated "Just tell them Kion's helping me with something important,you don't have to tell them what we're doing,now..good...bye..Bunga."Rani said with gritted teeth Bunga nodded his head and immediately left the area again.
Rani rolled her eyes and sighed in exasperation then suddenly Kion's front paws came out of the bush and gently placed themselves on Rani's face bending her nose back a little bit "come here."Kion said as he pulled Rani back into the bush.
Meanwhile Bunga went back to the group who were expecting Kion to be with him but saw he wasn't "Where's Kion?"Fuli asked "Oh he's helping Rani with something important, and he'll be joining us later, but he put me in charge."Bunga said a little proudly "He put you in charge?"Anga asked in disbelief at that decision "That's right,now night pride let's get going."Bunga said walking away the rest of the gang looked at each other in confusion and then began to follow the honey badger on daytime patrol.
