Hiding behind a mask... What is a mask? Is it something that hides your real face or is the mask what's suppose to be your face. Well, no matter what mask one hides behind, there's a gang out there that will unmask you. In the night of the museum, it's the perfect night for some haunting. That's just what's happening as a living mummy made it's way through each of the exhibits. The mummy walked its way through the Egyptian exhibit...missing a mannequin moving her eyes. As it went into the Japanese exhibit, it missed the movement of a male samurai and a female one with red hair. Finally, it entered the one it was wanting. Inside it was a priceless diamond that is said to belong to a famous king that it was planning to take for itself.
"Hey, toilet breath!" The mummy was suddenly surprised as a knight actually took two symbols and crashed them together. "Who said medieval music is boring?" The knight said with another laughing coming from it.
"Hhrrrmm!" The mummy was clearly mad as it ripped off the knight's helmet to show Natsu Dragneel with his cat Happy in the armor.
"Run for it, Happy!" Natsu called as he literally jumped out of his armor and the two ran off with mummy chasing after them. This is an everyday adventure for Natsu and his friends since they are becoming well-known mystery solvers. Somehow, the chase is part of the adventure.

Natsu and Happy were running for their lives as the mummy chased after them. They ran into a dinosaur exhibit and ran up a Tyrannosaurus tail and spine until the reached the head. With the mummy coming after them, they did a little Pterodactyl hopping.

The mummy chased them into another exhibit, but lost sight of them. It looked around until it spotted a suspicious painting of a cat feeding grapes to its owner. Which ended up being Happy splattering those grapes against the mummy and the two ran off again.

The two of them kept running, but Happy ended up jumping on some displays and kept making its way up until it reached the chandeliers and it started swaying around. Natsu just kept running with the mummy started gaining on him.

Natsu kept on running from the mummy until someone stuck out their foot and ended up tripping the money and hit the ground. As for Happy, the chandelier it was on kept swinging around until it finally broke and crashed right on the mummy and had it trapped.
...
"Huh? What happened?" Natsu questioned as he witnessed what just happened.
"Nice going, Natsu and Happy." He turned around and saw his friends and teammates, Gray, Erza, and Lucy, arrive with security and his girlfriend Lucy walking over and gave him a peck. "You managed to catch the mummy." Gray said.
"Wish we could take the credit, but I think someone helped us out." Natsu said as he pointed to down the hall. They all looked to see who was back there to see a well-dressed man with black hair tied back.
"Sorry. I hope I didn't steal your thunder."
"Wait! I know you!" Lucy said. "You're Wilbert Sparta! You're a millionaire that my father has been trying to do business with for a long time."
"A pleasure to meet you, but let's just see who this is." Wilbert said as he walked over to the mummy and removed the bandages over the mummy's head to show a man with brown hair and glasses.
"Arthur Rogers!" Erza said. "Makes sense that the security guard that just got fired from this museum would want to steal the priceless diamond that once belonged to Henry VIII."
"Yeah, and it would have been mine if it weren't for the meddling millionaire!" Arthur said as security took him away. His last words were a little twist to what the gang is use to hearing.
"Well, thanks for the help anyway, Mr. Sparta." Lucy said.
"Please, you can just call me Wilbert, Lucy."
"You know my name?" Lucy questioned.
"Of course. Who comes to Magnolia and not know about the famous mystery solving gang." Wilbert said. "Gray, Erza, Lucy, Natsu, and Happy. It is a pleasure to meet all of you."
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, but what are you doing here in the first place?" Gray asked.
"I came to Magnolia to see the diamond myself." Wilbert said. "You see, I always had my eye on a good jewel. I'm a jeweler and that's how I made my fortune. I came to Magnolia to see the diamond of Henry VIII myself when I saw a strange looking figure sneaking around the museum. I didn't know what it was, so I tried running a little investigation to see what was going on. Sorry if I stole your thunder."
"It's fine. What matters is that another creep got unmasked." Natsu said.
"I told you we're not making that a catch phrase." Gray said.
"Anyway, you arrived at a great time, Wilbert." Lucy said. "You showed up just before Magnolia's annual Garden Fest."
"Garden Fest?" Wilbert questioned.
"It's a fun festival that Magnolia holds every year." Erza said. "Since the magnolia flowers bloom around this time, and our town is named after it, we hold a little festival. There are fun craft stands, great food, and fun activities."
"Sounds like it could be a lot of fun. I will be in town for a while, so I'll get the chance to check it out." Wilbert said.
"And since we got another mystery done, we can enjoy it ourselves and not worry about spooks or creeps." Natsu said as he and Happy were looking forward to that, but they might have just jinxed it.

The Next Day
It was a bright and sunny day. Everyone was getting ready for the annual Garden Fest. It looked like it was going to be a lot of fun with festive stands and setting somethings up. The gang showed Wilbert around and could see lots of colors, flowers, and more.
"Well, this certainly looks like a charming festival." Wilbert said.
"It can be a lot of fun, and this is only the setup." Lucy said. "The real fun doesn't start until tomorrow. Garden Fest lasts for a couple days."
"Don't make it sound like it's something spectacular, Lucy. It's just a common festival that's held every year." Gray said.
"Gray, be nice. It's a fun festival with lots to do." Erza said.
"Besides, since my father is on the committee, I have to try and boost the fun factor." Lucy said.
"Your father works on the committee for the festival? The same one you said was trying to do business with me?" Wilbert asked.
"Yeah. I hope you don't mind, but I told him you were here. In fact, there he is now." Lucy said as they all saw her father, Jude Heartfilia, coming over.
"There's my lovely daughter." Jude said. "Wilbert Sparta, it's a pleasure to meet you." He said as the two of them shook hands.
"It's nice to meet you as well, Mr. Heartfilia." Wilbert said. "Your daughter told me you've been trying to get in touch with me to do business. Maybe we can talk when this festival is over. For right now, I'm here simply to try and enjoy this quaint town and what this festival has to offer."
"I promise you that you won't be disappointed." Jude said. "We even have a music show to close the festival. The band is a little unusual to me, but I figured I give them a chance. They seem to be quite eccentric and have a certain amount of style."
"You got that right." That was when a man who looked like a silver fox came over. "I'm telling you that you made the right choice for a music show. They are going to rock this town."
"You're talking about Blight, right?" Gray asked.
"You've heard of them, Gray?" Erza questioned.
"Just now." Gray said as he pointed over to a banner about the band.
"That's right. Blight is an upcoming band that picked great role models. They're going to be the next best thing. They are the new hottest rock band."
"And who are you?" Natsu questioned.
"I am J.J. Thornston. I am Blight's manager, and you will not be disappointed. Blight was inspired by the hit band known as Kiss." He said as he pulled out a poster that showed them. They were four guys dressed in black leather with different color lining of red, blue, green, and white with black and white face paint. One had shaggy black hair with black paint around his eyes resembling fire. One had long hair with a tail on top of his head with lightning crossed over his face. One had wavy hair with tiger stripes over his face. The last one had hair that framed his face with a gray star right over it. "Dragon Fire is the lead guitarist, Blue Thunder as his back-up, Wind Tiger is on the drums, and White Flash is on base. They are going to rock!"
"Sounds great..." Lucy said as none of them were really sure what to think of a band they never even heard of.
"Well, I'm sure this is going to be quite an enjoyable." Wilbert said. "I'm sure this band is also going to be quite something to see."
"Well, we both have some work to do, but please enjoy yourselves." Jude said as he and Thornston left so the rest of them could try to enjoy what they can.
"Let's give these people some space so they can work." Wilbert said. "Why don't we go back to my hotel? I would love to hear more about your mysteries. You five have certainly made a name for yourselves and I find it quite interesting."
"Sure. We can even show you around Magnolia." Erza said. It sounded good to them, but there might be a change of plans when they all heard Natsu's stomach growling.
"You guys go on ahead. Belly is saying we should try the festival food. You with me, little buddy?" Natsu questioned. Happy seemed to agree as food sounded great.
"Fine. Go ahead and eat, but let's meet later. I want to find a good spot for the concert tomorrow night." Lucy said as she gave Natsu a quick kiss before letting him go.
"Oh? You and Natsu are together, Lucy?" Wilbert asked like a fan curious about his favorite pairing.
"Well... Yeah, we are." Lucy bashfully admitted. "All the times we've been working together and solving mysteries really brought us closer."
"But is that such a good idea?" Wilbert asked. "Two people who work together that are also intimate could cause some problems."
"Might risky in a professional manner, but I think that's part of the fun." Erza said. "Besides, Lucy and Natsu are great together. Gray and I don't mind."
"Just as long as I don't have to keep watching it. Plus, the two of them made a great team when they were just friends." Gray said.
"Well, it's really none of my business to begin with. Come on, I'll take the rest of you to my hotel." Wilbert said as the three of them got going with him. It seemed like things were shaping to be a great time, but when it comes to this mystery solving group, thinks always look great before they go grim.
AN: Okay, as you may know, there seems to be a problem with this website that's making it difficult to see the stats of views and such for your stories. For whatever stupid reason, they still don't have it fixed. Until that is fixed, I'm hoping the other factors that show the story is doing well will come in.
