Tried Our Best

Chapter 1

authors Note : I got rid of that other story given all the issues i was having and started a new one. Let me know what you think.?

"Who the fuck wants to be 70 and alone?"

You don't even know what you want from love anymore

I search for something I'm missing and disappear when I'm bored.

The beach house. Me buying it all. Was my attempt at getting over my jealousy. I can admit that because i know he doesn't read my books.

Nathan and I are really became brothers because of him and Haley falling in love. And finding out about the HCM i got from our father.

Nate and I are closer then ever. We raised our kids together.

Brooke and I could never make it work.

Lucas deleted that part about Brooke. And replaced it with something light and funny.

Overlooking his view from his home office window.

He saw Tree Hill almost never ending.

The sound of a basketball. Hitting the driveway took him out of his thoughts.

As the front door opened minutes later.

"You are supposed to be waiting by the car for me to take you to school." Lucas said.

"I can just drive myself to school. Or is the car i got for my birthday."

"Just meant to collect dust in the driveway?" The teenage boy asked.

"I have no problem with you driving it. But you're mom won't feel the same you know that." Lucas replied.

Keith Davis Scott. Looked to his father.

"You could talk to her and make her see that i'm totally responsible and capable enough to handle it." Keith suggested.

"I'll think it over." Lucas replied.

...

The other Scott Home

Brooke quickly double checked around the house. Before running out to her car. She then spotted her sketch pad and colored pencils.

Grabbing them before heading out the house.

Her kids already in the car. She then pulled out of the driveway and drove them to their schools before. Making her way to her beloved Clothes over bros.

People wondered why she didn't change her last name back to Davis after the divorce. And she let the world and the media think what they want.

She stopped caring about what others thought a long time ago.
