Chapter 1: Traitor
"Argh…almost…done," said a faint female voice in the darkness. There was hardly any light around her; most of her body was covered by her black hooded outfit. She was sitting awkwardly on her legs, unable to sit properly due to the chains gripping her limbs, including her hands, which she was trying to write with.
She had an open book in front of her. She struggled to write with the added weight on her hand and without a pencil. Her right index finger was covered in her blood and acted as her ink to write her thoughts.
"This is the only way to prevent this result," she thought. The words were a deep red and beginning to shine.
"Here I write, a new history, a new past, hoping that this will prevent this hell and create a different future," she thought, her fingers trembling as the chains around her throat tightened.
"Arghh," she grunted in pain, feeling less oxygen entering her lungs. Her hands were beginning to tremble, feeling the chains dig into her wrists.
However, she didn't let that stop her fingers from moving.
"These are my final words… two paths will become one and bring forth a new future filled with light."
The sentence finished with a period. Every sentence she wrote started glowing in red. The book ripped apart, and the pages began flying through the darkness, swirling in every direction. The head of the hooded female went limp.
The pages began swirling like a tornado, growing in size into a vortex-like hole. A few pages broke through the darkness and started floating in the night skies, breaking into smaller pieces.
In a hidden chamber, a window was left open, causing some wind to enter and move a few pages on a desk in the chamber.
On the desk, there were a few folders and two visible sheets of paper with information and faces. One had bold yellow hair, and the other had scarlet red hair.
Underneath the faces were the words 'deceased,' but then pieces of paper that fell from the sky covered the word, changing it to 'MIA.'
A pair of deep blue eyes opened in the middle of the night, feeling a chill going up his back. Naruto had been woken up by the wind coming in through the window he had left open on the side of his bed.
"Jeez, I thought I had this closed," Naruto said with a tired expression and reached over to the window and closed it shut, then went back to sleep.
Everyone in the village was fast asleep, so they didn't witness the moon flashing crimson for a second until it became its normal color.
In the North of the village, within the Land of Earth, a tall tower became visible.

It was morning and there were two members of the akatsuki walking far west of the land of wind.
"Damn…I need water…so dry" Sugietsu states feeling drained of energy with his back arched forward and tongue out.
He was walking behind Sasuke, who was leading this mission, that he was not briefed on. Sugietsu wouldn't have tagged along if it involved walking on hot sand. He can feel his body melt, literally. He gave an ugly glare behind Sasuke's neck.
"Hey Sasuke, mind telling me now, why we are even here…what did Madara ask you to do to make us travel so far deep in this hot hell" Sugietsu said with an annoyed expression.
"It should be safe now." Sasuke spoke, stopping and looking back behind him. "We shouldn't have been followed. I wasn't given orders from Madara"
"What!?" Sugiestu said in shock with a tick mark on the side of his forehead. "So why the hell are we here!?"
"I have discovered. I didn't destroy all of Orochimaru's hidden hideouts. I stumbled upon a map that marked two locations. One being in the land of wind" Sasuke said, looking forward again.
"Orchumamrus hideouts..hmph, that wouldn't be too surprising. He has been the one to keep his secrets hidden" Sugietsu states.
"Especially ones that keep his valuable experiments," Sasuke said, awakening his Sharingan.
He started scanning the area around trying to see anything abnormal. His eyes spotted something in the distance. He raised his finger to that direction.
"Over there," Sasuke said softly.
Segiestsu followed the direction of where Sasuke was pointing and noticed a faint view of water.
"That can't be real. I think you've been out too long in the sun. That's a mirage. No body of water can exist here" Segiestu states trying to narrow his eyes.
"But you can" Said Sasuke and started walking toward what he saw.
"I'm different!" Segiestu shouts staring to feeling his body melt even more. "Rrrrr, that better be water or you are on your own"
The two stood a few feet from the large muddy pond in front of them. Seigestu is shocked to see this pond exist in this heat. He bent down and reached to feel the muddy water.
"Ooo~ it's hot but water nonetheless" Seigestu states.
"Something is down there…use your abilities to check it out, let me know when you do" Sasuke said casually ordering Seigestu.
"Hey! You crazy…this water is dirty! And how would you know if there is anything down there. What happens if I get muddy in all sorts of places for nothing" Seigestu exclaims.
"What other choices do you have?" Sasuke spoke softly with a calm expression that never changed through their walk.
Seigestu growled a bit but stared at the dirty pond knowing that he had no other option. If he didn't dive in, he would evaporate and be one with Mother Nature.
Seigestu dives straight in while Sasuke activates his Sharingan while he stares at the pond. He sensed there was something more to this pond that was hidden from the naked eye. He was right when he sensed something off deep below the pond. He can see a whirlpool of chakra down below.
After a minute, Segiestu made an eruption in the pond, creating an opening for Sasuke to jump right in.
"Hurry, I found something," Segiestu shouted from below.

The two stumbled upon an underwater cavern. It looked sealed off by two large stone doors.
"You were right, Orchimaru had another secret hideout, this one was well hidden" Seigestu states.
"That means this is one of his projects he didn't want to be publicized." Sasuke said staring at the door while pulling out his Katana from its sheath that he has on his back.
The sound of electricity echoed in the cavern. The blade was fully covered in lightning chakra that Sasuke used to slice up the doors so they could enter.
"Woah…now this isn't any cave" Segiestu said first commenting looking inside of what seem to be a well built hallway.
It wasn't made out of stone but looked like a hospital. It was hard to see because of the lack of light. Sasuke pulled out two sticks from his pockets and lit them up with his fire jutsu. He always came prepared, he can't rely on others to watch his back.
"Here," Sasuke said passing the torch to Seigestu.
Seigestu grabs it and they both enter the hallway. They tried moving their torch around to see if there was another entrance. The further down they went, a strong odor started irritating Seigestu's nose.
"Damn…what's that smell," Seigestu said pinching his nose. "It smells like a dead animal"
"Your not far off" Sasuke spoke steps ahead of him. He shined the torch to the ground and noticed large amounts of dry blood.
"What the hell" Seigestu said eyes widening slightly then shining his torch to the walls and saw more blood along with claw marks. "What animal did this?"
Sasuke was intrigued by this. He has suspicions whatever animal did this or beast, is still here or is out in the wild. He continued walking further down until he got stuck at an intersection. There was a hallway leading in different directions.
"Let's split up" Sasuke spoke deciding to go left.
"Uh? You crazy! What happens if whatever caused this blood shed is still here!" Seigestu states but heard no reply.
Seigestu growled under his breath then sighed. He took the right hallway.

Minutes has gone by and Sasuke didn't discover much on his path. He stumbled upon rooms that had broken lab equipment and empty sick beds that resemble the ones at hospitals.
However, the scent of blood he could still smell. Almost every room had some stain of blood. Sasuke did find it odd that even though there was so much blood, there were no bodies.
If this was an animal, there should be some traces of corpses but he couldn't see anything. Sasuke felt a gentle breeze grace his skin. He turned his head to the right which was another steep hallway but he could see a faint light.

"Damn it…so gross" Seigestu commented feeling dirty walking on dry blood. The smell was intoxicating. "There better be something worth stealing here"
Seigestu heard some cracks beneath his foot and realised it was glass. He flashed his torch to the ground and noticed pieces of broken glass. He moved the torched up to see a window pane without a window. He looked through and shined his torched within the room. His eyes widen in horror.

Sasuke had the same reaction expression as Seigestu upon entering his room or more like a brightly lit arena.
This looked more like an extension of the cavern they entered in. The light source beaming down was from the hole far above that the sky can clearly be seen through.
However, that didn't scare Sasuke. He didn't need to use his sharingan, he could already see through the bodies of skeletons all around the arena.
There was extensive damage on the floor and the surroundings walls. He slowly stepped in. His eyes were locked on the skeletons. Some were intact and others in pieces.
He bent down and hoping to see something different but there was no denying. These skeletons weren't adult size humans. He felt himself about to vomit.

"Barghhh" Seigestu vomited from viewing the dead corpses in the room. "What the hell—Barrgg!"
After a few minutes, Seigestu pulled himself together to properly see what he was staring at. He could see adult size corpses wearing dirty scientist lab coats. They were either sitting against the walls or laying on the floor.
However, there was something more that upsetted his stomach. In the middle of the room, there was a skeleton corpse on a metal chair with multiple wires hooked up to it, dangling off the chair. Seigestu looked around and connected the dots.
Firstly, from the other rooms he passed by coming here, he could already guess that this was some secret laboratory. The corpses with the lab coats screams it. This room was probably one of the room they did experiments in.
At first he thought they were playing around with animals but now he thinks those claws marks didn't belong to any wild beast.
"What sick experiments were you making Orchuamaru" Seigestu spoke staring at the skeleton on the chair that is the only one in the size of a teenage between 13 - 14.
Seigestu shined his torched around the room and spotted another empty window pane. He gulped and dared to look what's on the other side.

Sasuke walked to the centre of the arena to see tons of papers and folders scattered around that looked burnt from a fire. He did notice some scorch marks in some of the rooms. Whoever did this, must know fire type jutsu's.
He tried to see if some were savagable so he can have some idea what kind of project Orochimaru was working on in this hideout. Sasuke eyes spotted something underneath the ashy papers.

Seigestu stumbled upon the observation room that would clearly over see what messed up experiments were done to the children. He found more bodies on the ground but also some documents on the desks.
Seigestu noticed bold numbers on every page along with pictures of the test subjects. "Test subject 52, 100, 153, 170…how many kids were apart of this sick joke" Seigestu thought until his eyes notice something familiar on one of the pages.
He lifted up from the desk and tried to see more of the document by adding some more light to it with his torch.
"Well this is interesting…Sasuke, you won't believe what I just found"

Sasuke stood in the centre of the arena holding a half burnt folder that was ashy but a spiral symbol could slightly be visible on it.
Sasuke's eyes were deadlocked on two text on the page that were going to change everything. Two signatures to be exact.
"Why is the fourth's name signed here…
Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki"

"Hey we need some help here"
"Coming!"
"Here too, this thing is heavy"
"On it!"
"Here too! Hey Naruto can we get a few of your clones over here!"
"Sure!" Said four clones of Naruto dashing toward the construction workers.
After the events of Pains attack on the hidden leaf, it has been a month since the reconstruction started. Everyone in the village was giving a helping hand in rebuilding their home.
Especially Naruto, he was giving multiple hands. In different parts of the village, there are many of Naruto's clones helping many shop owners in making their store new again.
"Watch it! Coming through" cheered two Naruto's carrying wood through the pathways.
"Woah…he's been busy" said a platinum haired female holding a box of flowers.
"He has been," Said her pink haired friend also carrying a box of flowers.
Sakura was helping Ino with restocking her family's flower shop. Thankfully, it wasn't badly damaged during the whole attack. Some windows shattered and some flowers were lost but that didn't discourage Ino from helping her father rebuild the shop.
"He's insane, almost everyday, I've seen at least 10 Naruto's" Ino exclaims, placing her box in the front of the flower shop. "Doesn't he catch a break"
"I tried forcing him to rest" Sakura said softly. "He fought a huge battle. However, his stubbornness is preventing him from seeing reason"
"He always has been full of energy. But he has changed a lot since the academy-" Ino states crossing her arms.
"Hi Sakura!"
Three Naruto's ran past the two females. Each of them were carrying stacks of bricks. They were grinning big once they saw Sakura.
"Well not everything has changed…he's still into" Ino said in a teasing tone with a slight blush.
"No, I don't believe so" Sakura said watching the Naruto clones take a left turn after passing two men wearing all black. "He doesn't try asking me out every opportunity he gets. I believe he has a new focus"
"New focus?" Ino said with shock in her expression and placed her index finger on her chin. "You mean a new girl?…oh!..is it Hinata! I know that she went in and faced Pain, trying to protect Naruto"
"She should be his new focus, she has a crush on him for who knows how long..so obvious but"
"He's oblivious" the two said at the same time with a soft sigh then a giggle after realizing how in sync they are.
"But when I mean focus…I don't mean love interest" Sakura said softly with a slight frown and started gently gracing the dark blue flower petals on display.
"Oh, you mean Sasuke" Ino said connecting the pieces together. Sakura loses her cheer attitude when Sasuke is involved. "Are you still into him"
"…No…maybe..I don't know" Sakura said shaking her head trying to clear her thoughts. She can't stop the memories of Sasuke to flood her head.
"Hmm…you two should stop obsessing over him" Ino said in a serious tone. "He's a rogue ninja. Who only leaves pain behind. He even joined the Akatsuki!…I don't think there is no changing his way."
"Naruto doesn't think so"
Another voice chimed in. The two girls looked to see Shikamaru walking up to them with hands in his pockets.
"Isn't that why he's training now Sakura" Shikamaru said to her.
"What do you mean…his clones has been running all over the place almost 24/7. How can he find time to train-" Ino states then stopped herself understanding what she said.
"I believe you know the answer how he can be in more places at onces" Shikamaru said then slowly shifting his gaze to a man in full black clothing leaning against one of the shops in the distance.
"Wait, what is the real Naruto doing?" Ino asked Sakura.

Outside of the leaf, at the training grounds. There was a stack of wood piled up like a tower. At the top of it was Naruto, sitting with his legs crossed and hands closed together.
Down below, there was Kakashi leaning against a tree, reading his favourite book.

"Training!?…how much chakra is he using to be able to train and help out" Ino said in shock.
"I don't know but he's getting help by Kakashi sensei, he wants to become stronger…he needs to be stronger is what he said" Sakura states with a slight frown.
"He still hasn't given up on Sasuke…troublesome" Shikamaru said, scratching the back of his head. "That knucklehead"
Sakura notices on one of the flower boxes, there was a book. She didnt know Ino was into books or reads.
"Hey Ino..is this yours" Sakura said looking at the title of the book.
"Oh ya! It's a new book that many people have recommended me to read. Its called, a fairy tale" Ino said with a hint of excitement.
"An interesting title…but I think I also have seen people with this book. The book cover is simple by eye catching" Sakura said liking the light brown color of the book cover that shines a little when the sun makes contact with it.
"I've heard that book is a best seller in the village…even I have one" Shikamaru states calmly.
"You have one too!" Ino said too with a slight blush. "I didn't know you are into romance stories"
"Romance? No…" Shikamaru said until getting distracted. "Hey, seems like we are getting some new faces today"
He noticing a group of men dressed in black with a logo on the top left chest of the clothing.
It was a simple design with two Kunai's pointing each others tip, pointing down. Among the men, two were standing out more.
The first guy had black hair not too long or short. His skin was pale white and had a smile that gave Ino the creeps for some reason. The guy next to him had a black cap on with brown spiky hair. His eyes was shadowed by the hat.
Shikamaru eyes gazed at their logos being unique from the rest by having additions to it. The creepy smile guy had a paint brush in the middle of the logo and the other had a stone boulder.

"This place…sure brings back memories" the smiled male said.
"Oh right…you were from here" said the male next to him. "Weren't you a former anbu black ops, Sai?"
"I was…I wonder how Danzo will react to me being here after a long time" Sai said still smiling but notice the two people staring at them then waved.
OOO
"Heh…something feels off about that guy" Ino said hiding behind Sakura's shoulder.
"Ino, don't be rude…who are they, I don't recognize their logos"
"They are part of the Elite Military Police Force" Shikamaru states. "Now why would they come here"
"Military police force, I didn't know we had one?" Sakura said.
"Well…in the past during the time of the second hokage, he authorized and encouraged that the village needed a police force…specifically for our village but that didn't last long so we don't have our own task force"
"Wait so they aren't from our village then who's?" Sakura asked very curious about the men in black.
"None" Shikamaru answered shocking the two girls. "They are in a league of their own. Similar to Anbu black ops who lurk in the shadows. These Elite military force stand tall in the light. Their ninja way is for justice and fairness. Looking over all villages to try to keep everyone safe from any disaster. Their main headquaters are in the North of the Land of Earth"
"Wait, if that is the case, why haven't we seen them help take down the Akatsuki…if they are all about justice and protection, why are they showing themselves now" Ino said slowly getting heated.
"It's either they had their hands on other problems or it's not a big enough threat for them to get themselves in the middle of it" Shikamaru exclaims.
"Ino is right, look at what Pain has done to the leaf, unless they don't have the power to stop him" Sakura states.
"More like the opposite…they are called an Elite for a reason. They are made of former Anbu Black Ops members and jounin level and above shinobi in their ranks from different villages" Shikamaru said. "I heard rumours that the Chief Officer was originally from the hidden leaf"

There was a man dressed in black, standing on the tip of a tree top. He had a black cap shadowing his eyes. He had the Kunai logo on his left chest. He also had a mini black cape across his shoulders. He had a great view of the hidden leaf and could feel a strong breeze, making his cape sway.

Naruto's eyes shot open after a cold breeze rub against the roof of his nose. He looked down to see Kakashi sensei.
"Hey Kakashi!" Naruto said, waving down to him with a big grin. "I can feel it!"
"Good Naruto" Kakashi said raising his a voice a little so it can reach Naruto. "Chakra Nature is all around us…all the time. In the battle against Pain, to enter sage mode, there was a limit of how long you can stay in that mode along with trying to use your clones to help you enter it…it's a good solution but not for the long term. Your opponents will get tougher from here on out"
Naruto jumped off the wooden tower and landed gracefully in front of Kakashi then stood tall in front of him with a confident smile.
"That's why I'm training to improve my sage mode and how quickly I can enter it." Naruto then got close to Kakashi. "Do you sense him?"
Kakashi slightly shifted his open eye to the top of a tree top to see no one standing on it.
"Ya but I believe our guest left us" Kakashi states.

"So what exactly are they here-" Ino said then heard a sudden crack.
Sakura heard it too. The crack was getting louder and the two looked up. Ino's flower shop sign broke off the store. It was falling down to the two. Shikamaru was about to move to them until he notice some white liquid appear in front of him.
In an instant a white and black ink eagle the size of an average male swooped the girls away from the sign, into safety. The two friends were both shocked and confused what just saved them.
"You two alright" Sai said, appearing in front of them without them sensing him approaching them.
The painted eagle that saved them stood on Sai's left shoulder. Shikamaru looked at him with interest. "What kind of Jutsu was that…and how fast was he able to create it" he thought.
"Is that your bird that saved us" Ino said looking at the eagle that look like it came out of a painting.
"Yes it is" Sai said, then opening his book that the bird soon entered back in. "Hope you two are alright but we must be going"
Sai walked away, leaving the two girls awestruck and Shikamaru a little uneasy.
"That was cool what he did but…his smile seems so…unnatural" Sakura states after seeing Sai's smile up close.
"Damn" Ino said looking down at the destruction her sign did. "Now I have to find new flowers!"
Most of the boxes and the flower display were crushed by the sign. She thought the sign was great in place but seems like she was wrong.
Shikamaru had his eyes still on the officers. Suddenly they stopped and touched their earpiece. Sai nodded after hearing the orders given. His smile soon shrunk.
"It's time," Sai said looking at his fellow officers.
In the distance, a pair of Naruto's clone were walking with bags of concrete.
"Why is this so damn heavy" said the first Naruto.
"This is nothing!" Said the other Naruto trying to keep a brave face.
"Uh…what do you guys want?" Said the first Naruto.
The two clones were surrounded by the men in black. They weren't the only ones either. Every Naruto clone had an officer in front of them.

"What the hell is going on" Naruto said staring at the ten officers surrounding him and Kakashi.
"Why is the elite police force here" Kakashi states, confused at this situation.
"Police force?…why are they surrounding us-" Naruto said until recieving his clones memories. "Wait…there is more of them"
"What do you mean?" Kakashi asked.
"They have my clones surrounded" Naruto said looked at Kakashi with a confused expression.

"Hey get out of our way-" said Naruto's clone.
"We can't do that" Sai spoke softly standing behind his men.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Sakura said walking in with an irritated look. Ino and Shikamaru also came with her.
"Is it it obvious" Sai said looking at the three with a smile then opening is eyes. "We are surrounding a traitor"

"What!…traitor…what did you say" Naruto said clenching his hands and glared at the men.
"We have been ordered to capture you…Naruto Uzumaki…for being a world wide threat" said one of the men.
"Naruto is no traitor" Kakashi said standing in between them and Naruto before he tries to go wild on them. "I believe you got it all wrong"

There are loud steps that is echoing through the hallways. The man with the black cap had his hands behind his back.
OOO
"Lady Tsunade…we have received some information" said Shizune who was nearby the Hokages desk.
"Black folders" Tsunade said, staring at the black folders lying closed on her desk. There was the logo of the police force on them. "Why are they here-"
A knock interrupted her sentence. The two looked at the door. It was dead silence until another two more knocks echoed in the room. Tsunade snapped out of whatever she was feeling and opened her mouth.
"Come in"

"Traitor!? He's far from it" Sakura said with a sharp glare at Sai. "Do you even know what Naruto has done for the village…he put 100% in trying to protect and help"
"Right….from that 100%…how much power does he get from the nine tail fox" Sai states shocking Sakura. "We have done a thorough research on Naruto…we even have evidence"
OOO
"Hello, Lady Tsunade…" said the male taking off his cap. "The hokage of the hidden leaf…it's been so long"
"Toby…the chief officer of the elite police force…why are you here" Tsunade ask then noticing his logo on his chest with a shuriken.
"Well to make an arrest…you have a traitor amongst your shinobi" Toby said with a slight smile.
"Traitor?" Suzune said with a surprised expression.
"Do we now…if that were the case, I would handle it…but why are you here telling me this in person. What is the real reason you are here"
"Well because…this doesn't just affect your village" Toby said putting his cap back on his head. "The whole shinobi world will be affected if this traitor isn't dealt with…plus you have too close of a relationship with this person that makes me believe you wont do what needs to be done"
"Who is it?"
"…Naruto Uzumaki….."
