Kyoko opened her eyes, feeling the light peering through her window and directly hitting her pale face.

The detective sits on her bed, extending her arms to the sides and letting out a content sigh.

The young woman stops for a second, bringing her burnt hand in front of her face, there, in her index finger a beautiful golden ring shines brightly.

A small smile forms on her face, before the detective gets up and walks away to the bathroom.

Not too long after, she walks out and goes to the kitchen of her small apartment.

A lovingly hum and a delicious smell attacks her senses once she enters the room.

"Morning Kyoko-chan." Her husband, Naegi Makoto greets her with a gentle smile as he continues to cook something.

"Morning." The pale woman sits down at the table and closes her eyes.

A comfortable silence falls between husband and wife, only being broken by Makoto's soft humming as he cooks.

Kyoko never thought in her entire life, that a simple routine like that would ever satisfy her.

To wake up with him by her side, eat breakfast together, his afternoon calls when she's at work and their intimacy at night.

But now, she can't see herself not having it.

The detective is taken out of her thoughts once a plate of omelets is gently placed down in front of her. "Lost in thought?" Makoto asks with a smile on his lips.

"Nothing important." Kyoko replies, returning the gesture.

The brunette approaches her and joins their lips in a quick kiss, short and sweet. "If you say so." He replies, before going to his seat and sitting down.

The two eat his delicious meal, talking about their plans for Kyoko's break.

After finishing breakfast, the detective takes a quick bath and goes back to their room.

She dresses herself and opens a drawer by the side of their bed, picking her black glove up, she gently pulls her wedding ring off and slides the glove in.

At home, Kyoko liked to wear her ring on the burnt hand, to the detective, that was a gesture to show how much she truly grew from her past.

Wearing her most cherished item on the hand that carried her most painful memories.

Putting her ring on the other hand, the pale woman was now ready for work.

Kyoko walks towards her apartment's entrance, where Makoto is waiting for her.

On his hands, her purple jacket. "Here you go." The brunette hands the jacket to his wife, before stealing a kiss from her.

The detective happily returns it.

"I love you Makoto-kun." Kyoko whispers as the two separate their mouths.

"I love you too, Kyoko-chan." Makoto replies holding her on a embrace.

After that, Kyoko is off to work.

Although my favorite Naegi ship have and will always be NaeKawa, I do like NaeGiri quite a lot, plus I just thought this idea was kind of cute.
