"Treecko, use pound!" I exclaim, pointing ahead at my best friend and his Pokémon.
"Grookey, dodge it, and then use scratch!" Noah screams in excitement as the battle rages on.
Treecko dashes in, kicking it's foot off of the oak tree behind it to catapult itself forward, he jumps in the air and twists to hit Grookey. But, as he's coming down, Grookey is able to hop out of the way, and counter Treecko during the shockwave of the pound attack missing, which hits a scratch directly onto Treecko's back.
Noah - Great hit, Grookey! Be ready to dodge and counter again!
Archie - Treecko, use leafage as a distraction, and then follow it up with another pound!
Grookey lands and bangs the ground with its stick out of joy of hitting the attack. Which is put to a quick end when he is bombarded by a swirl of small leafs, and as it shields it's eyes from the attack, Treecko follows the attack up directly with pound right onto Grookeys forehead. Grookey hits the ground, and is unable to battle.
Treecko and Archie win.
Archie - YEEEES I TOLD YOU TREECKO WAS BETTER
Noah - Grookey did just fine, just doesn't have the move set to win yet! Why did you use leafage? It's not even effective against Grookey?
Archie - As a distraction! I knew it would throw you off, and figured Treecko was fast based off of that first jump, so I could use it blocking Grookey's sight to my advantage to land the final blow!
"WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU TWO DOING?! Are you battling with the new Pokémon again?! How will I be able to sell them with knots on their heads due to battling??" My mom, came in angrily questioning.
Archie - Mom, we were just making sure they would be good battlers! It's better for our breeding farm that the Pokémon are able to fight rather than not being able to fight, right?
Mom - It's better if you let these poor Pokémon relax and wait until they're grown or have a trainer of their own to figure out if they can fight or not.
Noah - I'm sorry ma'am.. it won't happen again.
Mom - Yeah, I've heard that one before, yesterday as a matter of fact. Please boys. You're both 15 now and will receive Pokémon of your own, soon. Speaking of which, I picked your eggs out! But could you two go and get Naomi? I would love for her to get her egg along with you guys! Noah, tell your mom she's more than welcome to come with you guys. And please don't forget your jackets. It's extremely cold today, the breeze is blowing off of the mountains today.
Noah and I grab our jackets and head down the road from my family's farm to his house to grab his twin sister, Naomi. It's always cold because where we live is called Preya Village, and it's in the Far East of the Xelandria region. Our village is on the foothills of the Blackstone Mountains, which are only known for 3 things; cold weather, strong Pokémon, and Acoustica City. Acoustica City is home to the "Music Gym" it's 1 of 12 gyms in this region. With Gym Leader, Harmony. Who is conveniently my cousin, and the reason my family's breeding farm is so successful. Being able to sell the offspring of a powerful gym leaders Pokemon, brings in quite the profit.
Noah - Man, your mom wasn't lying, it feels like I'm hugging a Glalie out here today.
Archie - I'm too excited to be cold! We're getting our Pokémon eggs today! I saw 3 of them there. One with the grass symbol, one with the fire, and one with the water.
Noah - Hahaha, don't be so sure! I just hate we have to wait until 15. I wish it was like back when my dad went on his Pokémon journey, they could get their Pokémon at age 10.
Archie - Dude no kidding. I've been so ready for a while now! Tomorrow starts the new year, and then the badge run begins in July. So we'll have 6 months to get super strong or else we're going to have to wait for 3 more years to try and join. I don't know what I'd do with myself.
Noah - You'd help your family out on the farm like a good little son, is what you'd do!
We both laugh it off. And as we make it halfway down the road, we feel the breeze blow harder and start to hit the back of our necks, so we run the rest of the way to try and warm up even just a little bit. It's a beautiful day today minus this cold weather. The sky is a light blue with clouds patterned throughout, like in a screensaver. Staravia and Pidgeot are flying, Tauros are grazing the fields around, and Ribombee playing in the flowers along the path. We finally reach Noah's house, and it's as alive as always, the flowers outside are bright Oranges and blues and reds, the chimney is puffing smoke, and the lawn is nice and clean cut. With the area we live in it's cold 85% of the time, so my mom is always jealous at how good Noah and Naomi's mom can grow plants with the weather. We walk up, we walk inside to be greeted by Noah's family Pokemon, Growlithe.
Noah - Hey there little buddy! Have you been taking care of the girls for me while I've been gone?!
"Hey there, boys! It's really cold outside, I have some hot tea on the stove if you would like to warm yourselves up!" Noah's mom, Sierra kindly exclaimed.
Archie - Thank you so much, Mrs. Barlowe! But we're actually here to grab, Naomi if she's free. My mom is wanting us all to meet her for our eggs! You're free to come along if you'd like to.
Mrs. Barlowe - I'd be happy to go! I would like to talk with your mom, Archie. So I'll meet you guys there actually. See you guys in a bit.
Archie and Noah - Yes ma'am.
Mrs. Barlowe turns off the stove top, and begins her journey up the road to the farm. Noah and I head up stairs to grab his sister. I always get little butterflies in my stomach before I see Naomi. We've been friends for years, but as we've aged, we've become way more flirty with one another. I'm crushing hard at this point.
Noah - Naomi, you in there? Archie and I are here. Mrs. Anzu wants us to come over and grab our eggs! She has them picked out.
"YAY!!! I knew it would be today!!!" Naomi screams as she bursts out of her room with a wide smile
Naomi has long Auburn hair that comes to the mid of her back. She is roughly 5 foot 3 inches tall, and has a large green doe eyes, with a pattern of freckles only on her right cheek.
Noah shares her hair color, which is usually swooshed over to the right side. He also has the same freckle pattern but on his left cheek rather than his right. He stands at about 5 foot 7 inches tall.
Currently, I stand around the same height as Noah. But I've been growing at a faster rate here lately. I have light brown hair that is shorter than Noah's. I can't stand my hair touching my ears if I can avoid it. With the top of my hair styled to the right side.
Naomi - This is the single happiest day of my life! Let's get there as fast as possible please.
Archie - That was the plan! What're you hoping for?
Naomi - I want something cute and strong! Like a Mudkip, or Snivy, or a Sprigatito! What about you, Noah??
Noah - Mrs. Anzu has 3 eggs there. Fire, Water, and Grass. I'm really hoping to get something fierce and strong! Like a Treecko or a Charmander. We all know what Archie wants.
Archie - Oh yeah?? What's that?
Noah and Naomi - Grookey or Fuecoco. You want to be just like Harmony.
Archie - Goodness.. I'm that predictable huh?? Well I wouldn't mind a Treecko after our battle today! He was pretty quick. I liked that!
Naomi - Y'all are going to get fired, and I'm going to have to work double time at the farm. I bet your mom is so happy to have you two about to start your journeys.
As we continue our walk up the road, Naomi stops in the road and begins to look out at the Pokémon playing around in the wilderness in awe. As she starts to get teary eyed.
Naomi - Guys we're really doing it.. We get to begin our journey finally.
Noah - *Choking on his words* I can't believe it's finally here. I'm so happy I get to do it with you two. I have to run ahead before I begin crying. I'll see you two there.
Archie - Hahaha, you're good buddy! See you in a bit. I'm really happy I'm doing this with you two as well.
As Noah leaves, I use this as a time to bend down and grab one of the Blue Roses off to the side of the road, and I give it to Naomi because they're her favorite.
Naomi - *blushing* Thanks, Arch.
We choose to run up and make it to the farm quick. The farm is huge. It houses many different Pokémon, and needs a lot of room in the back yard for them to roam, and fly, and swim.
My parents and I live there, along with my cousin Harmony who stays with us during the downtime in between Badge Runs. She likes to come and help the farm out. It's a family owned farm, created by mine and Harmony's grandparents. Harmony's mother, Clair is a well respected gym leader in the Johto region where they still do gyms based off of a Pokémon's typing and not theme based gyms like most regions are moving to. So she isn't around often, due to the travel. But it used to house her Pokémon and breed them, and now we have the privilege of breeding both Aunt Clair and Harmony's Pokémon. And one day, mine when I become the first champion of our family!
I reach the door first and hold it open for Naomi to enter. And when I walk in I see a whole watch party!
Archie - You invited the whole village huh, mom?!
Mom - We're just so excited! We breed Pokémon for a bunch of trainers, and now Harmony, your dad, and I have bred Pokémon specifically for the three of you! We've watched you all play battle and actually battle *stares at me and Noah* more times than we can count. And we bred Immaculate Pokémon for the three of you! But as you're all well aware, we can help control a Pokémon's stats, but we can't control if it comes out a different shade of color.
Until recently there were only 2 types of Pokémon colors. Regular, Shiny, and now recently discovered is an Inverted Pokémon. The names are rather explanatory, but just in case, a regular Pokémon has the original color scheme, Shiny is a bit of a different color scheme depending on the Pokémon, and Inverted is where a Pokemons colors basically swap place. There's only been one caught, and as far as anybody knows it's the only one to exist at this time.*
"Yeah, guys! I helped pick these Pokémon out for each of you, I'm excited for you to get them! They should be hatching in the next few minutes for you!" Said Harmony who popped around the corner.

Archie - I'm glad you're here to see it! I'm sure you know what you're doing.
Mom - Okay! Without further delay. Naomi, you get the water egg. Noah, you get the fire egg. And you, Archie, you get the grass egg. And here is each of your first Pokédex. It will help you log what Pokémon you see, so you can look back later for studying purposes.
Noah - HA! If we battle now I'll win bc fire is super effective!
Naomi - Shut up. You can't just hatch a Pokémon and have it fight from Level 1 you dummy.
Noah - I wasn't going to actually battle yet. We know you have to wait until Level 5!
Archie - You could hit super effective all you wanted, and I would still find a way to win!
Harmony - Don't get too excited there, Champ.
She gets interrupted by Noah's egg beginning to wiggle and crack*
The egg shakes side to side, begins to crack at the top, and then the side, followed by the bottom. Finally bursting out of the egg all at once, is a Torchic!

Just like clock work, Naomi's egg begins to hatch. The egg wobbles side to side, spins around and then bursts open. Its a Popplio!

Harmony - Your Popplio was given because you deserved a beautiful Pokémon for such a beautiful young lady. And when Popplio evolves it gets even more beautiful, and packs one heck of a punch. It specializes in its Special Attack, and those are always the attacks you try to throw out, so we thought it was perfect!

Harmony - I know you were expecting a Grookey. Or a Treecko. But Sprigatito was the perfect choice. You love attacking quick and fast and catching your opponents off guard. Sprigatito is the fastest starter. And it hits really hard when it evolves, it's special move, only hits for crits is what I've been hearing!
Archie - No, I love it! Thank you. This means a lot to me! I'll become best friends with Sprigatito.
Harmony - Alright guys. I'm also here as your Pokémon League officiate. As you are all aware, I represent the Music Gym in Acoustica. You all have been granted a chance to enter the next Badge Run. Today is January 1st. You have until August 1st to train your Pokémon up as strong as you can. You'll need to catch 5 or more Pokémon each. You need at least 6 of those Pokémon to be Level 40 or above. So that means by August, I expect to see a Blaziken, Primarina, and Meowscarada out of you three. If you all meet me here in Preya Village on August 1st meeting the requirements, then you will be officially part of the Badge Run. If you miss this deadline, you will have to wait for the next Badge Run to begin in 3 years.
Mom - That seems like a daunting task, but you all have a lot of knowledge breeding and creating bonds with Pokémon. You should be able to have these Pokémon level 20 by the end of the month. Whenever you do, Harmony here has promised to take you to Acoustica, and you can do some Pokémon training on the outskirts of there! Where you will also be able to catch Pokémon. The Pokémon in this area are too strong to battle with your Pokémon the way they are now. So please don't bug the Tauros. *Glares at me*
Archie - Haha I wouldn't dare! I've seen them in action. I'm ready. I'm going to get Pokémon strong enough to finally beat you, Harmony. I promise.
Noah - We'll become the greatest trio in the Badge Run. We'll make sure you will have even more famous Pokémon to breed in your farm, Mrs. Anzu!
Naomi - We sure will! I'm going to train incredibly hard for the next few months, so I won't let you down!
Harmony - I have zero doubts in my mind about you three. I know you're strong trainers. I know you'll see a lot in your journey, and have extravagant stories to tell me If you ever make your way into my gym! I'll be waiting. Until then, to out. Become strong. And good luck!
And that was the day that I officially became a Pokémon Trainer.
