"The Crystal Call"
The episode could open with the peaceful planet of Ripple Star, where Fairy Ribbon resides, being attacked by Dark Matter. The invading entity shatters a sacred crystal of Ripple Star into shards and sends them falling to Dream Land. Ribbon chases these fragments through space and lands on Pop Star, colliding with Kirby along the way.
Meanwhile, on Pop Star, Tiff and Tuff are enjoying a peaceful day with Kirby when they witness Ribbon's crash landing. They rush to help and find out about Ribbon's mission to collect the Crystal Shards. Sensing a new adventure, Kirby decides to help Ribbon with enthusiastic support from Tiff and Tuff.
Parallel to this storyline, King Dedede and Escargoon observe the falling crystal shards with their telescope from the castle. Misunderstanding the crystals as valuable treasures, Dedede orders his Waddle Dees to collect whatever they find. This might lead to early confrontations between Dedede's minions and Kirby, unknowingly triggering a larger problem.
Towards the end of the episode, Kirby and co, through their teamwork, would successfully find and collect their first Crystal Shard, unaware of the epic journey they have just embarked on.
The episode ends with a teaser of the Dark Matter entity floating ominously in space, setting up the arc for the rest of the series.
