Author's Notes:

I think I made my previous crossover too AU; this would be much less far off into the AU. It also means my other crossover would be on a prolonged hiatus since it's too difficult to rewrite and string the plot together properly.

Yes, Tanya and Rudy are isekai'd in this story, although due to circumstances, it would take much longer for them to figure out they were both Isekai'd (and I'm not even changing canon to make this delay happen; anyone who read or watched Mushoku Tensei would know what I mean.)

Chapter 1: Forced retirement and (yet another) chance at life

K 413 ?

Tanya ?

I felt pain everywhere; I couldn't even control myself, and everything looked fuzzy and bright.

That last fight with Being X's puppet took something out of me; I think the crazed girl offered herself up as a sacrifice to that false god, overloading her computation stone and blowing herself up in the process.

Once my vision adjusted and the pounding pain disappeared, I was aware of a young blond woman gazing at me, as well as a young man with brown hair showing an awkward smile towards me. They looked like a young couple from the Empire, although their clothes made them look like farmers. Was I blown off to a forest near Tiegenhoff?

A young boy with dark blonde hair was also looking at me with a big smile.

"Beiñ ñejra moqiha, zeke apa zebaqarol"

What was going on? I heard some gibberish from the man that sounded nothing like Imperial, Russy, or Japanese. It sounded vaguely Ispagnan, but I couldn't pin it down.

I tried to speak up, but all I could do was:

"Ahh! Waah!"

Did I have a stroke or a serious injury?

I realized something was very wrong soon after.

Half a year went by, and I came to several conclusions. I was reborn as a baby.

It was awful going through the embarrassing problems of being a newborn once more, being unable to control myself, speak for myself, and going through the disgusting sensation of consciously sucking on my mother's breasts for sustenance. Even the nuns in my previous life only fed me through a bottle.

I quickly realized that I wasn't in my World. At the same time, I wasn't a linguist by any means. I have gone on enough campaigns to identify most languages spoken in Europa, and while it vaguely sounded like an Ispagnan or some South Francois language, it did not use any vaguely familiar words. I knew how to speak English/Albion, too, and this discounted the chance that I was kidnapped to a random farm in Kansas by Mary or the Unified States soldiers.

I was quickly getting the hang of the language, in between struggling to crawl and move around again. I also figured that the blonde woman was my mother and the man with brown hair was my father. The young boy with blonde hair was my older brother, and the woman in a maid outfit was either our maid or my father's concubine; their interaction was very confusing, although it was apparent that she deferred to my mother.

Clearly, we were living a comfortable life, with a spacious house and other necessities in life amply provided in my limited view.

Being X was nowhere to be found; maybe I finally got the peaceful life I wanted, although I wish I was born as a man in this medieval World.

I also found out I had a sister, born an hour after I was, her hair clearly giving away who the mother was. Maybe Father was a village chief, and these primitive societies allowed polygamy. I saw no signs of electricity or any modern comforts and conveniences as I easily crawled around the house. My sister kept trailing me, but she lacked the unexpected experience of being able to relearn crawling for the second time in barely two decades.

I was barely in my forties mentally, and I was in my third life already? I need to do whatever it takes to live longer in this one.

Tanya Norn Greyrat

Tanya Norn Greyrat, I found out my name after my brother, Rudeus, bragged about suggesting my first name, but it was an awful coincidence that I at least kept part of my old name in this World. Almost one year passed, and I was restless to start acting normal again.

I was able to walk, albeit very slowly, and with a lot of effort and concentration, a lot of things I took for granted took a toll on me. Speech was another thing that I could barely do, too, speaking a few words with great concentration. Still, I believed I could understand the language enough even when my family was busy doing "adult talk" around me.

I was able to see myself in the mirror and saw I once again had blonde hair, which was like my mother's, but Paul's green eyes. I hoped I would grow as tall as my parents; they were noticeably taller than most people around the village when I was carried around.

My older brother spent his time at night reading bedtime stories for us from the limited books around the house. Apparently, we had seven, which was a small fortune in the days of handwritten books. I should get around to making the printer and earning a fortune from the printing business and all the other businesses I can make in this World. Triggering the Renaissance with my 21st-century knowledge should create a massive opportunity for me.

Rudeus seemed to try so hard for a seven-year-old boy. At the same time, I knew our parents, Zenith and Paul, were incapable of taking care of babies well (babies don't live off hugs, kisses, and cuddles alone). Lilia was also torn between taking care of her child and myself; Rudy (as he kept introducing himself to me) was very capable and competent.

Rudy didn't even have problems cleaning up after our messes or carrying us around. He must be a well-trained genius of some sort. He even kept us entertained with silly faces that babies seemed to love. Zenith and Paul were great at making fools of themselves in front of me, but I guess Nobles really left the menial child-rearing to their servants.

After a few weeks of treating it as a bedtime story, Rudy finished reading Wandering the World to us. I guess an average toddler would fall asleep after hearing the details of the World, but I absorbed everything he said. I guess this was still much better than hearing nonsensical children's tales, although the book seems to embellish parts of the World. I doubt that actual demons or beast people existed. Even Aisha seemed to have some sort of awareness of what Rudy was talking about.

Was everyone in my family extremely gifted? I doubt anyone else would have been reborn as a child into this World like I was.

"I got a surprise for you girls tonight; I'll read to you the first book I ever read here. I think you'll be too young to understand this, but Mother wants to raise her daughters as fine magicians and Master Roxy isn't around anymore. I started learning Magic when I was two, so maybe I can start training you young. Sylphie seemed to take my lessons well, and she started at five. I'll be the coolest older bro in the World!" Rudy said as he laughed at his own ambitions.

Two very important questions came up in my head.

Does this World have Magic? My previous life made me less surprised at this possibility, but what are the rules? Does it run the same way as my previous life? How would they even make computation orbs in this World? Would we be stuck with primitive and inefficient scepters? I tried one of those once, and I had a small headache, making myself fly a couple of meters at walking speed.

Rudy carried a small wand around the house and treasured it a lot. I thought he was just a kid playing with a toy. I never got to see the rest of the family except when Lilia brought us out to the living room to be with Zenith and Paul, ever since they caught the door open too many times at random hours of the day. Watching anything from the window was also difficult since Paul and Rudy often went to the other side of the house to train with swords, and I thought Zenith was just a regular healer or a doctor in this era. She wouldn't show her patients to a one-year-old child.

Wait, Rudeus said he started learning Magic at the age of two? Just what kind of parents do I have in this family? Are they planning to raise a child army? Or is nobility expected to make all their children as powerful as possible to ascend in society? Paul was a knight, and Zenith was a village healer in the middle of a small village. Were they trying to raise impressive children to find impressive marriage matches? I can imagine that they would be doing their best to improve the standing of our family, especially after I heard the name "Greyrat" multiple times from Wandering the World.

Are we an illegitimate branch of high nobility? Or perhaps a cadet branch? We weren't wealthy or high-ranking enough to have a larger house or more servants; we looked more like a family of landed knights with a small village to lead.

I realized, as a second-born daughter possibly related to a prestigious family in a feudalistic world (I have to thank Rudy for explaining the whole World as he read that previous bedtime story to us), I might be raised as a housewife unless I do something exceptional.

I don't want to end up as some rich old man's accessory. I had the mental image of a greasy, old, fat, and balding man with a harem of young girls. I hope I don't meet this World's version of Loria.

I shook off my disbelief as Rudy opened A Textbook of Magic. I think I could read the text myself thanks to Rudy pointing his hand over the lines he reads in front of us, but he still read the book out to us, treating it as a bedtime story. He definitely made my life a lot easier. Especially since he wouldn't expect a young child to read at this age.

He read the book and explained the fundamentals.

First, Magic came in three types: Attack magic, which was mainly used for battle; Healing Magic, to treat wounds of others; and Summoning Magic, to summon things. After explaining the basics of how Magic was birthed while referring to the lessons from his former master, Roxy, I gained even more questions than answers.

So, there are other races in this World, and my suspicion that Rudy's friend Sylphie wasn't fully human was confirmed. How does this even work? Wandering the World focused mainly on human history, glossing over anything else. I originally dismissed the other races as a mere description of nation names.

And Rudy was trained by a saint-level mage at three; just how workaholic are my parents?

Rudy started bragging about how great his master was and how a young teenage girl such as Roxy taught him. All he knew about Magic, maths, and sciences came from the two years he learned under her.

He even talked about how she managed to cast King-ranked spells in her most recent letter. Rudy made it clear that anyone with Advanced-level magic or greater was rare, and King-ranked mages or higher are extremely rare.

Rudy saw the concentrated look on my face and said, "It looks like my cute little sisters are doing their best to understand their big bro." I looked to the side and saw Aisha clearly trying to understand what Rudy was talking about, although I think she's genuinely a genius rather than a reincarnated soul like mine. Even Rudeus' master must be an extremely gifted person to become a King-ranked mage as a teenager.

"I'll continue with the other fundamentals of magic," Rudy said after patting us on the head. I hate being treated as a small girl again. Or, I guess, an even smaller girl who didn't have a military rank to scare off people who treated me as a child.

He mentioned the second fundamental about magic power sources, the third fundamental about performing Magic, and the fourth fundamental about a fixed magical potential at birth.

Rudy mentioned these clinically and dispassionately but then spoke with a conspiratorial whisper.

"I can let you two in on a little secret; me and my master found out that two of those fundamentals were wrong. With enough practice and the right imagination, you can imitate me!" Rudy said as he did a corny-looking pose that might have worked for actual one-year-old babies.

I didn't miss out on what he muttered afterward. "How will I teach them spell genesis, size determination, speed determination, and activation? I guess I can build up their reserves too when they can start walking and talking properly next year; Sylphy will have my cute little sisters learning with her."

"Oh, look at the time; it's getting late now. Goodnight, little sisters!" Rudy said in an overly sweet voice. Something strange was going on with my older brother, but I couldn't investigate anything until I grew older.

I guess we have to learn Magic as fast as we can, too.

I woke up the next morning to a lot of loud noises; I heard a heavy carriage approaching the house and wondered who would visit. I carefully moved to the window of my room and saw Rudy and Paul taking their training to the next level.

They even fought on this side of the house, facing the favorite tree of Zenith. They were talking to each other, but all of a sudden, Paul rushed at Rudy at a speed far faster than a normal human could achieve. It was just like watching the front again. Was Paul a mage, too? I don't see any magical orbs, scepters, or implements; maybe his sword is magical.

Rudy suddenly cast a large blast of wind and fire; Magic is real and powerful in this World. He wasn't joking around last night about Magic existing here. That would've rivaled a grenade explosion in my previous life. He didn't even use his wand to cast it; how could he do the magical formulae without any help or incantations?

Paul ran through the blast unscathed and then blurred towards Rudy, who sent a visible shockwave through the air.

Am I supposed to go through this kind of training, too? Rudy was barely six years older than me and was going through an experience that would get most mages in the Empire in serious trouble, at least from close range. Paul's magical shield formula must be pretty potent to ignore blasts that rival those from large artillery shells, which were rocking the house even though they were fighting at the far end of the yard. Aisha yelped from her bed in surprise.

Rudy turned the ground into some kind of quicksand, which I noticed when Paul's foot got jammed; why was Paul only using Melee attacks? I knew he was regularly training Rudy in sword fighting and assumed it was a normal noble thing to teach their heir swordplay and chivalry, but with Magic involved, why isn't Paul casting a spell?

Was he playing nice to Rudy?

I saw a large, watery bog at the side of the yard. Paul looked trapped but suddenly made a hard leap twenty meters across and landed a blow on Rudy. A sharp whack to the side of the head, and Rudy was unconscious. I looked back and saw some cracks on the ground from where he leaped from.

I heard noises approaching the door; quick, I waddled back to bed and pretended to just wake up from the noise.

Zenith and Lilia carried me and Aisha out of our beds. We were brought to the yard, where I saw that Paul was tying Rudeus up; that's a harsh punishment for losing on such a nasty training exercise.

A tall and heavily muscular cat woman… or was she a beast person from the Great Forest that Rudy talked about weeks ago from the book? I thought the book just described them as savages wearing animal hides, not actual hybrid species… walked out of the heavy carriage and walked to Paul.

"Good to see you, Ghislaine; it feels like it's been forever," Paul said while holding his practice sword on his shoulder.

It seemed like he was on familiar terms with this large and very dangerous-looking woman. Was she another knight? She didn't seem formally dressed but came in a large, heavy carriage, perhaps a mercenary leader or another landed knight?

"Idiot" Ghislaine replied.

Paul didn't respond negatively to her answer, which made me think they were friends or she was his superior in the past.

Zenith was running towards Ghislaine while carrying me. Ghislaine looked like a feline she-hulk from my point of view, and she was barely clothed, too; how does that bra of hers even stick in place during combat or provide any armor. She must be using even stronger magical shield formulae than Paul and uses her figure to distract men on the battlefield.

"Ghislaine, Hi! I've missed you. Have you been well?" Zenith cheerfully said as she stopped running in front of her. I waved hi to Ghislaine as I tried to show a happy, cheerful child.

Ghislaine smiled back at me and said, "Yeah… that your kid?" as she looked down on me, still looking happier than she was with Paul. What's it with women and their fascination with babies? We were gross, annoying, and frustrating most of the time; even in my past life as Tanya Degurechaff, I never felt those feelings toward the babies at the orphanage. Or even at the front, I usually let Visha or her friend take care of the babies and toddlers that appear wherever I go.

"Yes, this is Norn, Tanya Norn, at Rudeus' insistence." Ghislaine held her large, hard hand on my face softly. Her hands were smoother than I expected.

"Let's hope she doesn't take after Paul," Ghislaine said with a smirk; Paul visibly grimaced beside her. What was she talking about? Paul seemed reasonably attractive for a guy, even if I wasn't checking him out myself.

Paul started, "Hmmph, That's enough chit-chat; I assume that if you are here, that means everything is ready to go."

"Yeah," Ghislaine said as she focused her eyes on me and Zenith. It seems like they were close friends.

"Please take care of little Rudeus," Zenith told her.

"Can do." Ghislaine assured Zenith.

"Young master Rudeus, we'll miss you very much," Lilia said to the unconscious and bound Rudy; Aisha even waved at him.

"Take care, sweetheart. We'll see you when you get back, okay?" Zenith said as she kissed the unconscious Rudy's forehead.

"D-damn, that was close…" Paul said to Ghislaine as she looked at Rudy. "That's my son for you, all right. Kid's got a knack for battle…"

"Hmmm?" Ghislaine said with a questioning look on her face.

"Guess you'd expect no less from the prodigy who gave a Water Saint-tier magician an inferiority complex," Paul said, seemingly talking to himself now. "I heard she's even a King-tier magician now, but she still feels Rudy is better than her."

Rudy made a Saint-tier, a rare and powerful mage, someone halfway through an exponential power scale in the book he read us last night..… feel inferior by the age of seven? Was this the "King-ranked Master Roxy he was talking about?" just how much do my parents expect us to train and grow. Am I supposed to be greater than a Saint rank by the time I turn five? Or risk getting shipped somewhere else? I still had little idea how to compare the leadership or command style of Paul and the Greyrat household. When I was too competent in my past life as Tanya, I kept getting shifted to worse and worse assignments; when I was better than expected in my Japanese life, I got a decent promotion.

Paul picked up Rudy to bring to the Carriage when Sylphie came in with her father in tow; I think his name was Laws, Paul's hunting buddy? Now, I can clearly see where Sylphie got her elven features from. Paul dropped Rudy off in the carriage and walked back to the door when Sylphie shouted.

"Rudy?!" Sylphie launched a powerful concussive spell at Paul that I felt even though I was shielded by Zenith and Ghislaine. I saw Aisha was shielded further away by Lilia. That little girl was crazy; she could've ended my reincarnation before my first birthday!

Paul casually blocked the attack and turned to face Ghislaine, giving her a letter.

I saw Laws crouching in front of Sylphie and talking to her quietly. He seemed like he needed to keep his impulsive daughter in check. Although I think I would have to train with her someday soon if Rudy's comment last night was still true. Sylphie seemed very attached to Rudeus, and if my suspicion was correct, Rudy was being sent to another noble for fostering or perhaps a betrothal, and he didn't want to do so. Was he interested in this girl?

Ghislaine shrugged her shoulders and waved goodbye to my family, Scowling at Paul and smiling fondly at Zenith. Did she have a relationship with Zenith in the past? Ghislaine gave me those Amazonian vibes; maybe she was unhappy that Paul got Zenith instead of her?

At this point, my Mother and Lilia started crying, warm tears reaching my face.

"Oh, my sweet little Rudy's leaving me!" Zenith cried. Gross, I don't want any of that snot on my face.

"Be brave, Madam. This is a trial we must endure!" Lilia said in return, giving Zenith a handkerchief

They were talking to each other, ignoring Paul and the others.

"I know, Lilia. I know! Oh Rudeus, Rudeus! My little son is riding off! He's left his poor mother all alone. Woe is me!" Zenith was theatrically swinging me in her arms. She must have a knack for the dramatic.

"You're not alone, Madam. He's not your only child!" Lilia reminded Zenith that I am also her child. Did they value sons far more than daughters in this society, too?

I might not be a fan of how feminism played in the 21st-century Western World, but my Freedom-loving, Capitalistic values would want to ensure that women are more than just property here.

It wasn't so obvious at home when I saw Paul being so submissive to Zenith and Lilia. Was he a budding feminist? He clearly picked a bisexual and dominant woman to be his wife and had no problems with Ghislaine talking him down in a pre-modern setting.

Maybe I can convince him to let me live a life on my own terms, too.

"You're right, of course. He has two little sisters now." Zenith looked at me and even Aisha fondly.

"Two?! Oh, Madam!" I can now tell that Lilia was a secondary wife to Zenith; she didn't expect Aisha to be treated equally.

"Of course, Lilia. I'll love your child as much as mine! As much as I love you!" Zenith said to Lilia fondly. I guess that confirms it; Zenith and Lilia must be a couple, too. Did they have an arrangement with Paul to protect them? They seemed to be ignoring him in that intimate moment.

Come to think of it, Paul was always out with Laws, and Laws looked like a Bishounen hottie from my first life. I've never seen or heard of Sylphie's mother, and Paul always looked uncomfortable and awkward trying to touch Zenith and Lilia despite being the father of their children.

Am I in a secret arrangement between Homosexual couples? A bearded child? Perhaps they would be more accepting of my disinterest in following female stereotypes when I grow up.

"Oh, Madam! I feel just the same!" Lilia said that as she went very close to Zenith, Aisha and I ended up getting squished between our mothers.

While they were busy holding each other close and ignoring the rest of the World, I heard Paul muttering to himself.

"Still… I guess Rudeus won't be around to watch the little ones grow up, huh?... He wanted to be the "best big brother ever," but tough luck, kid. Daddy's gonna get all his little daughters' love. Ehehehe." Seems like Paul has a bit of a competitive streak, too.

Paul spoke louder, towards the hugging couple still smothering me and Aisha. "Zenith, dear? Lilia? Now that Rudy's left us, I think I'll have to start training a bit as well." That thought concerned me; if this wasn't considered enough training, how far does he want to push us. Maybe he wants us to be strong children in an unfair world?

Zenith glanced at Paul with a disinterested expression on her face. Lilia leaned over and stage whispered in her ear. "Did it really take a near loss to make him realize that the young master might soon surpass him?"

Zenith Stage whispered back at Lilia, "Honestly, he's always like this. Never puts a bit of effort in until someone nearly embarrasses him."

They seemed to have a low impression of Paul, although it could be that they just didn't like their bearded partner as much. He didn't give me an impression of a slacker, although if all his hunting trips with Laws were just to get some forbidden action with him, perhaps they had a point.

Japan 2013 didn't criminalize homosexual activities, but most people still kept it secret, even doing marriages like the one Paul seems to have with Zenith and Lilia.

The Vaterland was also surprisingly progressive by early 20th-century standards. I was surprised to see them relatively accepting of Lesbians, Gays, and even Transgendered individuals, with the first surgery happening right before the Great War. Although I never really cared about it much when I was busy fighting for my survival against Being X.

However, if his training with Rudy was considered slacking off, how harsh would it be for me and Aisha. I'm starting to feel like my own soldiers at the 203rd when I started my training session from hell for them.

I hope there is no malicious deity out there that wants to screw me and my family.

I blame Being X.

Half a year passed, and my parents pretended to ignore the issue of our missing older brother or at least avoided talking about him with his younger sisters around. I have so many questions about Rudy, what he was doing, what my family was planning, and the larger World in general.

I already had a rough idea of the upper limits of how fast I could accelerate my development without appearing too odd to my parents. However, I had the feeling that Lilia was somewhat suspicious of me.

It was providence that Aisha was both competitive and gifted, attempting to match my progress in walking, speaking, and other milestones as hard as she could, making our perceptible gap look smaller than expected. Zenith commented about it a few times that we were a lot like Rudeus and that kids grow so fast these days. If only they knew how old I was, I was roughly my parents' age combined.

I kept getting compared to Rudeus, while Aisha was supposedly the "normal genius," something that Lilia was actively trying to "fix." I wanted to explain to her that overtraining a child would have detrimental effects on their future psychological development and would be subpar for an effective and productive person in the future, but I was an awful example for a normal child myself.

Aisha seemed to enjoy all the challenges and attention on herself anyway.

Tanya Norn Greyrat

By the time I turned two, I was able to fully converse in sentences and walk normally, even though I was limited by my size and lack of endurance. Aisha wasn't too far behind either, although she made a lot more mistakes than I did. Lilia's intense monitoring and training seemed to pay off on her daughter.

Zenith was also proud of my growth, although she seemed to have doubled down on the babying aspect of her mothering. She kept finding reasons to hug, carry, and cuddle me around. She said something about missing the chance to do it with Rudeus.

I hated being dressed up and styled like a doll to be paraded around the village as the cute child of Zenith and Paul. Although I guess a lot of negative feelings from being dressed up stemmed from the times I was forced to be a propaganda tool for the Empire.

At least she let me take off the frilliest parts of the dresses she made me wear when we got back home.

"My little girl is so smart and pretty; I wonder if she wants to be a great magician just like Rudy!" Zenith said over dinner.

I guess they're starting their unsubtle attempts to raise me as an asset the same way they've done for Rudeus.

"Hold up, now. Last time, we let Rudeus learn how to do Magic and how to be a knight despite our promises last time. That means I should be able to teach our daughter how to be a knight, too." Paul said as he looked at Zenith with a knowing face.

"I would train Aisha to learn reading and writing, sword fighting, and all the housekeeping knowledge she needs in order to serve Master Rudeus when she grows up," Lilia said, all but stating that she expects Aisha to be Rudeus' vassal in the future. I get confused sometimes over how the women of the house seem to look so lowly of Paul yet highly of Rudeus.

Paul looked like he wanted to speak up, but a glare from Zenith shut him down. It almost looks like they rehearsed what they planned to do for me.

"It wouldn't be a bad idea to train Tanya the same way we trained Rudeus; she's just as special as he is, and who knows what she would do with the benefit of hindsight that we have." Lilia continued as she fussed over Aisha.

Aisha tried to eat dinner on her own, just like I managed to do a few months ago; her mother kept a keen eye on her as she ate dinner.

Potatoes and Sausages… Just like my past life. I would kill even for some nice Katsu or Ramen and Gyoza.

I gave a small groan at the memory, and Paul noticed me.

"Let's give Tanya a chance to be a child if she wants to; let us ask her right now," Paul said as he looked at me. I looked to the side and saw an expectant face on Lilia and a wide grin with too many teeth on Zenith. This wasn't a question; it was exactly the same kind of thing General Zettour and General Rudensdorf did when they pretended to give me a choice.

Although on the other hand, they reminded me a lot of the older days when my parents in Japan wanted to give me a "choice." When it came to some extracurricular activity or extra school credits. While my first parents were not the most pushy or aggressive type to get me to succeed in life (I can only blame myself for my own ambition), they managed to outmaneuver me once in a while like this as I grew up the first time.

I said in the most innocent and enthusiastic voice I can muster, and in a way that would satisfy all parties involved.

"I would love to be the best mage and swordfighter in the World! I'll show you that I can be just as good as older brother Rudeus, and I can even help Aisha too!" I declared to my parents, even giving them an imperial salute out of reflex.

"Look at my little girl! She's gonna grow up just like her brother." Zenith said as she smothered me in a long hug. Paul joined in the pile while Aisha and Lilia were off in the corner.

I'll make myself powerful enough to get that retirement I deserve.

Author's Notes:

I think I made my previous crossover too AU; this would be a lot less far off into the AU. It also means my other crossover would be on a prolonged hiatus since it's too difficult to rewrite and string the plot together properly.

1. "What a pretty girl, just like her mother." Using Basque with swapped consonants to simulate the Human tongue

2. In the absence of official character heights, I would have to scale Paul and Zenith's height from the Anime. Roxy Migurdia is officially 150 cm or 4'11", Zenith and Paul tower over Roxy, and Paul is taller than the 185 cm or 6'1" Ghislaine during Season 1 Ep 4, even from the background. A rough estimate would get Paul at 2 meters or 6'6". Scaling Paul and Zenith in S1 Ep 2 to Roxy (who was 150 cm) would get Zenith at 175 cm or 5'9". What doesn't make sense would be Elinalise's height, which is listed at 162 cm, which doesn't make sense when she's taller than Season 2 Rudy. On the other hand, Paul seemed a little bit shorter than Ruijerd, who's listed at 190 cm, so the animation scaling isn't perfectly consistent when compared with earlier episodes. That would make Paul perhaps 187 cm (between Ghislaine and Ruijerd's height) or 6'2" and Zenith 165 cm or 5'5". I'm disregarding statements that say Ghislaine is 2 meters tall because that would make Paul and Ruijerd very tall. So, for the purposes of the story, I'll make Paul's height a cool 6'2" or 187 cm and Zenith at 170 cm or 5'7" (Eris' height). I know Canon Rudy hits 175 cm, but it doesn't make sense with the way he and Paul get described in the story, so I'm increasing their heights.

3. Rudy only found out Roxy's age when he met her parents in LN vol 3; before that, he and his family treated her as a young teenager. It makes even more sense why he thought she was such a genius herself; imagine a saint-ranked teenager who becomes King-ranked two years after leaving you to train more.

4. Mushoku Tensei LN didn't show Zenith and Lilia meeting Ghislaine before Rudy and Paul fight, while the Anime showed they met right before the fight. I made a compromise and showed them meeting after Rudy's fight, which was the closest way I could get Tanya to watch Magic in action, yet make her overthink once more.

5. Yes, in this universe, Rudy doesn't make the Madam Titty Kitty line at first sight; he was unconscious by the time he met her in LN, after all.

6. It also means I have to mix the LN scenes with some Anime dialog, but LN takes precedence in case of any major overlaps.

7. Paul was whipped hard and pretty submissive to his wives after his affair with Lilia in the LN; of course, Tanya would misinterpret it without proper context. Zenith and Lilia got really close too in the LN, and some manga often joke that they had a physically closer relationship with each other than with Paul but I'm using LN lines and Tanya's misinterpretations.

8. I don't think Paul was allowed to be intimate with Zenith for a while, and Lilia held off her desires for him for a long time too. Tanya wasn't born back when they were actively rocking the house and giving Rudy and Roxy free porn every night.

9. The Empire or the Fatherland in Youjo Senki was roughly around the time of Interwar Germany; around that time, there was a surprising amount of progress in the Gay, Lesbian and even Transgender movements. It will be the case in YS Empire too, especially since women also get conscripted to wars, at least among mages.

10. I know there's a time Rudy talked to Zenith about enjoying her breast milk in front of Norn for purposes of everyone's sanity (or mostly Tanya's); let's assume it was at an early point in her life before she understood enough of that conversation.
