Ami Mizuno loved fleece blankets. Her mother Saeko bought her a blue butterfly fleece blanket for her ninth birthday. She came to love how the butterflies were scattered throughout the blue fleece blanket. It did happen to her favorite among all of the fleece blankets that she owned. Ami ended up sleeping with it every night from the first time she opened the blue wrapped up birthday package from her mother. Saeko felt guilty that her ex-husband had not sent Ami any real birthday gifts in the mail as he only sent Ami a drawing and painting of blue butterflies as Ami loved blue butterflies, so she bought her a blue butterfly fleece blanket.
"It is so nice and cozy!" Ami burst out as she felt the soft fabric of the blue butterfly fleece blanket against her skin after her mother had cut the birthday chocolate cake and special dinner of Ami's favorite foods for them to eat which Saeko took Ami's birthday off of work to make the day special for her. "I love it, Mom! Thank you!"
"You are welcome, sweetheart," she replied. "Happy Birthday! I hoped I made it a special day for you especially now it is just us two girls together."
