Story starts on Oh My Goddess Part 1 Charmed: Season 5, Episode 22. Mostly canon events, demons, etc… This fanfic is mostly Paige's story where she finds happiness. A lot of the original show's focus was on Pheobe and Piper. So I am making Paige a story.
Paige basically dies so many times throughout the series that I've introduced a mysterious stranger who shows up to protect her. Had the idea while rewatching and seeing Chris coming back from the future to "save her'' which tbh wasn't really what he came back for.
Anywayyyy happy reading :)
Paige leaned against the bar at P3, attempting to engage the charming gentleman next to her in conversation. His name was David, and he was a successful lawyer who had recently graduated from Stanford. She had hoped to sign him up for the charity auction, but their conversation had taken an unexpected turn. It was not her idea to help with the charity auction but her sisters had convinced her into it. "Harvard law. Hm, that's impressive. So do you want to give to a charity, or what?"
"I said Stanford, not Harvard."
Paige's mind drifted for a moment, distracted by the strange dreams that had been haunting her nights. Dreams of ancient battles and mystical powers that felt all too real. "Let me ask you something. Have you been having any kind of end-of-the-world dreams lately?"
David seemed taken aback. "Wait a minute, is this some sort of religious charity?"
Phoebe suddenly appeared beside them, a concerned look on her face. "No, it's not. It's for children."
"Right. Yeah. Hey, to each his own, but I'm not into the whole fire and brimstone thing."
With that, David excused himself, leaving Paige feeling both frustrated and perplexed.
Phoebe wasted no time in offering some obvious sisterly advice. "Paige, you're supposed to be flirting with the bachelors, not frightening them."
Paige sighed, feeling the weight of exhaustion and peculiar dreams weighing on her. "I'm sorry, I guess I'm just a little off." Her sister gave her a questioning look, asking her to go on. "I've barely slept all week." answered Paige "I keep having these strange dreams about ancient wars and weird magic. All very disturbing."
"Do you think they mean something?" Phoebe asked, concerned.
"I know that the heat is not normal" Paige said.
Piper came and couldn't resist a playful comment, "What are you going to do? Scry for Mother Nature and have a Wiccan word with her?"
"I don't know, there's just something weird. I keep waking up all week long with these fiery dreams. What am I supposed to think?" replies Paige, her concern plain to see
Phoebe trys to soften the conversation with a supportive tone. "That's why today is good for you, maybe you need to get out of the house a little more."
Paige, resolute, declares, "I don't wanna be a downer but I'm gonna go hit the books." With that, she leaves, her determination evident in her stride.
Phoebe turns to Piper and asks "Should we be worried?"
"I don't think so. But I just wish she'd stop looking for trouble, 'cause with our luck, she's gonna find it."
"I'll help her just in case she does." Pheobe sighs.
Pheobe flipped the pages of the Book of Shadows. Paige, her curiosity piqued, turns to her sister for answers, sensing that something important is about to be uncovered. She asks her "Is that them?"
"No, in my premonition they looked a little bit more... ancient." Phoebe flips the page.
Piper, who has just arrived to hear this cryptic discussion interjects "Will someone please tell me what's going on?"
but before they can answer Leo orbs in. "Another Whitelighter disappeared."
Paige immediately concludes "Heat wave, my nightmares, and now Whitelighters disappearing. This is all connected!"
Piper answers her instantly "We don't know that. He could've just clipped his wings and he's in hiding."
Paige waves her off but Pheobe is taken aback for a second "Leo, Is that possible?" she looks from one sister to the next "Yeah, I guess so." he answers.
"Leo, maybe you should get the Elders to put a ban on Whitelighters orbing until we figure out exactly what's going on."
"Okay, I think the disappearance is serious, so it's better to give you some time to investigate." Leo's face is calm as he nods in agreement. Phoebe and Paige return to the Book of Shadows.
He shifts his attention to Piper, smiling at her "Honey, I'll meet you in therapy," reassuring her that despite the supernatural challenges they face, he is still committed to their personal growth through therapy, which he knows is what Piper truly longs for.
"Okay, don't be late. Is it safe for you to orb up there right now?" she crosses her arms in front of her.
"Yeah" he leans in to embrace her "no worrying, remember?".
He kisses Piper and orbs out.
A couple of hours later, the air felt heavy with an unspoken tension as Pheobe and Paige figured out that the powerful threat was the Titans. They discussed their next step.
Paige had a determined look on her face. "Phoebe, I've been brewing some seriously powerful potions. I think they might be our best chance against the Titans."
Phoebe, her brow furrowed in concern, replied, "Paige, I get that you want to help, but this is dangerous. We have to wait for Piper, and we don't know where to find them yet."
Paige nodded solemnly. "But I know how. And that's exactly what I'm counting on. I'll orb around the room, and they'll come for me. That's when you and I strike with the potions. We have to end this, Phoebe."
After a moment of hesitation, Paige persuaded her that if Wyatt orbed now while he is with Piper outside, the Titans would come for the baby instead, and that would be the more dangerous event. Phoebe reluctantly agreed. "Alright, Paige."
With a determined nod, Paige closed her eyes and focused her Whitelighter abilities. In an instant, she orbed, leaving behind a faint shimmer of lights.
As Paige disappeared, a charming young woman suddenly materialized in the attic. Her presence was regal and commanding, exuding an air of otherworldly power. She was one of the Titans responsible for the chaos and terror gripping the city.
Phoebe and Meta locked eyes, and a tense silence filled the attic. Phoebe gripped the vials of powerful potions tightly in her hand, ready to strike at any moment.
But as she and Paige threw the vials they quickly realized that the Titans were more formidable than they had ever imagined. The potions failed to have any effect, leaving Paige feeling helpless and frightened.
Paige's plan had backfired, and as the Titan Meta advanced, Paige couldn't help but feel like a failure. They were facing an enemy unlike any they had encountered before, and this was all her fault.
As Meta knocked Phoebe to the ground, fear for her sister surged through Paige like a bolt of electricity. The sight of her sister being overpowered sent shivers down her spine, and she didn't know how to help, she felt utterly helpless.
But then, in the midst of her fear and desperation, and as Meta looked at her with gleaming eyes, something extraordinary happened. Paige's senses tingled with a strange energy, and she felt an invisible shield forming around her. A shimmering, protective barrier enveloped her, leaving her both amazed and bewildered.
It was as if some unknown force had heard her silent plea for help and answered in kind. Paige clung to this newfound protection, realising that there was still a lifeline, a chance to survive this encounter with the powerful Titan.
As Meta's face showed a confused look, her eyes turned normal, she raised her hand to strike once more. But before she could try, a blinding light erupted within the attic. In the blink of an eye, Meta was vanquished, consumed by flames.
Paige, still trembling, barely had time to process what had occurred. She only managed to glimpse a young woman, fading into the shadows, her eyes locked onto Paige's. Time seemed to slow, and her surroundings faded into insignificance. In that fleeting moment, Paige couldn't help but try to take in every detail, every nuance of the girl who had appeared. Her gaze was instantly drawn to the girl's hair, a mesmerizing interplay of dark caramel hues. It was as if sunlight had intertwined with earth, resulting in a mix of colors that became golden in the places where the rays of the sun filtering through the attic window hit. The girl's eyes were dark brown orbs like pools of rich, velvety chocolate, they radiated an intensity that made Paige feel as if the very essence of her being was being laid bare, seen in a way she had never imagined possible.
In that gaze, Paige was left mostly with a profound sense of vulnerability. She was saved by this girl. The girl's eyes spoke a multitude of unspoken conversations – curiosity, reassurance, and a silent promise that everything would be alright.
But then the girl disappeared, and the shield did too, the attic fell into a heavy silence, broken only by the sound of Phoebe's labored breathing as she slowly rose from the ground. Paige goes to her. They hear Piper coming up the stairs frantically.
Then there was a sudden flash of white light that filled the conservatory. Phoebe, still catching her breath from the recent battle, stepped back in surprise as a young man materialized before her.
"Who are you?" she demanded, her senses on high alert.
The young man, not much older than twenty, met her gaze with a mixture of determination and urgency. "Chris. Chris Perry. I'm from the future."
Phoebe's eyes widened at his words, and she quickly called for her sisters who were already beside her, their expressions mirroring Phoebe's astonishment.
Chris took a deep breath, knowing he had to make them understand the gravity of the situation. "I know this is going to sound unbelievable, but please, hear me out. The Titans- They're not your average adversaries. These are ancient beings, incredibly powerful, and they've returned with a vengeance. They're targeting Whitelighters specifically, and today, Paige, you were supposed to be their third victim. But maybe, just maybe, my presence here has already altered the course of history."
Phoebe, Piper, and Paige exchanged puzzled glances, but they couldn't deny the urgency in Chris's eyes.
Chris continued, "The Titans were defeated once before, but only with the powers of the Greek gods. If we can convince the Elders to give you the powers of the gods, we might have a fighting chance. But time is not on our side. Every moment we waste brings them closer to their destructive goal. Please, trust me on this. I'm here to help, to ensure none of you suffer the fate I've seen."
Piper's concern deepened, and she immediately yelled for Leo. He orbed instantly, confirming the unsettling number of Whitelighters gone missing that day, Paige couldn't help but analyze their unexpected guest who was now already flipping through the pages of the Book.
"Don't touch the book" said Piper.
"Wow, like I don't even know this thing by heart" he rolled his eyes "Don't ask too much about the future because I can't tell you stuff or I'll ruin history."
"You can touch the Book" Paige observed, her brow furrowing. "And orb" she looked at her sisters with a ruling in mind "He's a suspicious brat. But we have bigger things to worry about."
Before they could delve further into the matter, their attention was once again diverted as a multitude of magical creatures began to enter the room. Fairies and dwarfs spoke all at once about chaos in the natural world, which the sisters attributed to the Titans.
"The Titans are too powerful. We need to seek help from the Elders," she declared.
Chris stepped forward, looking at Leo. "I'll go with you to the Elders. I can help."
There was a moment of silent agreement among the sisters. In the face of impending danger and a dire future, they were left with little choice but to accept the unexpected assistance of a young man from the future. Together, they would confront the Titans.
the sisters gathered around an array of open books and scrolls, their brows furrowed with concentration. The weight of their mission pressed heavily on their shoulders as they delved into research on how to battle the formidable Titans.
Paige, who was typically a force of unwavering determination, couldn't help but fidget nervously. She clenched her fists, her gaze fixed on the open Book of Shadows. The weight of recent events pressed heavily on her shoulders, and she couldn't help but replay the encounter with the Titans in her mind. "I can't believe Meta was so strong," she muttered, frustration lacing her words. Her restless fingers tapped the table, a nervous habit she couldn't shake. She knew she had to find a solution, to make amends somehow. Her thoughts raced, haunted by the memory of the Titans' overpowering presence, and the possibility of her sisters getting hurt. She couldn't afford to let them down again. "I should have been able to vanquish her."
Phoebe, her eyes scanning a particularly ancient-looking tome, looked up at her younger sister. "Paige, it's not your fault. Those Titans are powerful, and they caught us off guard."
Piper chimed in, her tone measured but concerned. "I don't like the idea of you going after them alone, though. Your plan was too risky."
Paige bristled, her stubbornness showing. "I had to try something. We can't just stand by and let them cause havoc."
Phoebe sighed, closing the book in front of her. "We're not saying we should do nothing, Paige. We just need a better plan, one that doesn't put you in danger."
Their discussion was interrupted by Paige's contemplative tone. "You know, when I was saved by that mysterious girl, I felt like she knew everything about me. It was like she could see right through me, like she knew my fears."
Piper, who was silently pondering the day's events, spoke up. "And then there's Chris, appearing out of nowhere, claiming to be from the future, saying that Paige…. It's all too much to take in."
Phoebe nodded in agreement, a troubled expression on her mention of Chris and his dire warning about Paige dying hung in the air, leaving them with a sense of unease.
Paige, still nursing her determination, muttered to herself, "I can't believe Chris said I'd be dead."
Phoebe, flipping through a book of ancient fables, raised an eyebrow. "Well, he was rather as dramatic as your nightmares, wasn't he?"
Piper, ever the practical one, chimed in with a wry smile, "I mean, he could've just explained everything he knows instead of just saying 'You might get into a situation.'"
Their musings were interrupted by a peculiar sight. A gnome-like creature, no taller than a foot, waddled into the attic, wearing an oversized wizard's hat. It peered at their books and scrolls with curious, beady eyes.
Paige blinked at the creature's appearance. "Is it just me, or is our house turning into a magical menagerie?"
Phoebe, suppressing a chuckle, leaned closer to examine the tiny visitor. "Well, considering the day we've had, a gnome wizard seems pretty normal."
Piper, taking it all in stride, joked, "Maybe he's here to offer his expertise on Titan vanquishing."
The gnome-like creature, as if understanding their jest, hopped onto a nearby book and began to flip through the pages with exaggerated gestures, as if it were indeed studying up on the Titans.
Their laughter filled the attic as they watched the gnome perform its comical routine. It was a brief moment of lightheartedness amid the chaos of their magical lives.
Piper reached out and placed a reassuring hand on Paige's shoulder. "We won't let anything happen to you, Paige. We'll figure this out together, just like we always do."
Amidst the chaos and uncertainty of the situation, Paige also felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Gratitude for the mysterious girl who had appeared seemingly out of nowhere to shield her from harm and ultimately vanquish Meta, saving her life.
As she delved deeper into her research alongside her sisters, Paige couldn't help but steal occasional glances at the Book of Shadows, where she had last seen the girl's presence. She wondered about the motives behind this stranger's actions. What had driven her to intervene so decisively?
Paige knew that, without the girl's intervention, the outcome could have been far bleaker. She might have been the third Whitelighter to disappear that day, just as Chris had warned. It was a chilling thought, one that sent shivers down her spine.
Yet, the mysterious girl had not only saved her life; she had also imparted a sense of reassurance and understanding, even in her silent departure. In those fleeting moments, Paige had felt seen, accepted, and protected in a way she hadn't expected.
As the hours passed and the sisters continued their research, Paige couldn't shake the feeling of gratitude that washed over her. She silently vowed that, once this crisis with the Titans was resolved, she would find a way to uncover the truth about the girl who had stepped into her life so unexpectedly, and to express her heartfelt thanks for the salvation she had provided.
