DISCLAIMER- I OWN NOTHING BUT MY OWN DEVIATED PLOT LINE.

I don't know how long I laid on the damp forest floor, wishing it would just swallow me whole.

I didn't feel anything.

The freezing rain that soaked my clothes completely through didn't affect me.

The muddy ground I was lying on didn't matter.

He was gone.

He left me.

The rational part of me always knew this was going to happen. I was a human; he was a vampire. I was nothing but an ant in his world of giants.

I guessed he just kept me around so long because perhaps he was testing himself? I was his singer, my blood called to him more than anyone else's in the world. Or maybe it was nice for him to have a puzzle after over 100 years of being alive. He couldn't read my mind; therefore, I was an enigma to him.

Either way, none of that mattered anymore.

He was gone and I wasn't good enough for him.

I watched the dark forest canopy for a long while. I didn't know how long.

It was quiet, only the sound of the raindrops on the forest floor. I wondered if there were any animals nearby after I heard the distinct crunch of branches. My suspicions were confirmed when I saw a pair of eyes staring at me through the darkness.

They didn't look vicious, though no doubt whatever gigantic animal they belonged to probably wanted to rip me to shreds.

I wasn't scared. I felt no reason to be scared. Maybe it was just a hallucination from hypothermia that surely was setting in by now?

After a moment, the eyes disappeared. Maybe I wasn't as appealing a snack as the vampires all seemed to think.

Out of nowhere another figure appeared from where the eyes had been. This time it was a man. Another man followed closely behind him.

From what I could tell in the darkness, they were both shirtless, only wearing a set of cut-offs. They didn't even have shoes on.

"Bella, can you hear me?" The first voice asked.

I felt compelled to answer so I nodded, hoping he could see me well enough in the dark.

"Are you injured?" He asked me, seemingly scanning my body for injuries. Was I?

"I-I don't think so?" I responded. I tried to move but I felt a sharp pain in my ankle and I hissed. "Maybe my ankle…"

"I'm going to pick you up, alright?" He said and I nodded again.

He leaned down and lifted me into his arms… his extremely warm arms. It felt like he had a high fever. Maybe I was just imagining things. Maybe I was just so cold that everything else felt unnaturally hot.

I decided it was time I got a good look at my savior. I glanced upward and my eyes trailed to his. Only the moonlight shown on him, but it was enough to see his chiseled features.

As I watched him, he took a second to look back down at me.

The moment his eyes met mine, it felt like the whole world fell away. Something in my life had shifted substantially. I didn't know who this man was that was holding me, but I felt with my entire being that I was irrevocably tied to him in ways I couldn't even begin to comprehend.

"Sam, what is it?" I was snapped out of my daze by the second voice. This one sounded younger but not by much. He must've known something had happened. 'Sam' must've been the name of my savior.

I hadn't realized we'd stopped until the second man walked up to us and I turned to look at him with curiosity.

My eyes met his and to my complete and utter surprise, the whole world fell away once more.

I didn't understand any of it. I still felt the sting of Edward leaving me, but it felt nothing like it had before, almost like it didn't truly matter. A distant thought. Only the idea that I wasn't good enough for someone, anyone, stuck in my head.

"Sam, what the hell just happened?" The second voice asked the first in a panic, apparently also realizing something monumental had occurred between the three of us.

"Imprint." The man who I assumed was named 'Sam' responded quietly.

"Both of us? But how is that—"

"I don't know Jared, but it happened. I can feel it, can't you?" The other voice must've been 'Jared'.

"Yeah, I can." Jared replied to him as I remained confused.

I felt a shiver run through me and I leaned further into Sam's chest, seeking more if his body heat.

"I need to get Bella back to her dad before she gets hypothermia. Track his scent and find out where it leads then meet me back at my house." Sam sounded like he ordered Jared.

"But—"

"Bella will be fine. I'll make sure she's in good hands before I come home." Sam cut him off.

Jared glanced once more at me before taking off into the woods. Moments later I heard a howl.

Wolf. It had been a wolf staring at me before Sam found me. I didn't assume it was only a coincidence that the wolf had disappeared right before Sam appeared, and the same with the wolf howling just after Jared left.

These men were supernatural. Of that, I had no doubt.

Sam's skin was hot to the touch. Much hotter than the average human even with a fever. The cold seemed to have no effect on his barely clothed figure. He had found me in the middle of a rainforest without even the help of a flashlight.

Then there was the fact that I felt undeniably bound to both of them after just one look in the eyes.

"What are you?" I asked him quietly as he carried me through the forest, holding me close to his chest. "And please… don't lie to me. I know there are others in the world. I promise I won't tell anyone."

To my surprise, he chuckled. "Remind me to ask later how you figured it out so quickly. I'm a wolf."

"A werewolf?" I questioned immediately, curious how that could possibly work seeing as there was no full moon tonight. Then again, every myth they had about vampires had been wrong too.

"Technically we're shapeshifters, our form just takes that of wolves." He replied. I was amazed that it took so little to get the answer out of him. Maybe it was because of this connection we now shared.

"Jared too?" I asked.

"Yes, Jared too."

"What happened back there?" I continued my questioning.

"It's something we call 'imprinting'. After we phase – turn into wolves – for the first time, we gain the ability to imprint. Essentially what just happened back there with both me and Jared, was that the moment our eyes met yours, you became the center of gravity for the both of us. We will do anything for you, be anything you want us to be. There's a lot more to it but I don't think now is the right time to discuss it all." He informed me.

So both of them had 'imprinted' on me? I was their center of gravity and they would do anything for me?

"Does that mean I'm your true mate?" I questioned, having known from vampires that it was actually a real concept, though I didn't know how I could possibly have two of them.

"For all intents and purposes, yes. Though you have a choice. We're bound to you, but you get to choose what you want us to be. Nothing about this has to be rushed." Sam told me.

"If it's like you say then why did both of you imprint on me?" I wondered out loud.

"I don't know Bella, but I can't help but have a feeling there's a reason why." He responded.

I couldn't help but agree. I was having the same feeling.

It was a strange notion to think that I somehow knew with everything in me that I could trust these two men with my life, no questions asked, despite barely knowing them.

"Are you and Jared the only wolves?" I asked him as I snuggled deeper into his warmth.

"There's one more of us. Paul. He's keeping watch down at the reservation." Sam told me. I loved how he answered all of my questions without hesitation. He wasn't holding the information from me.

"How long have you been a wolf?"

"A year and a half. Jared has been a wolf for a year and Paul has been a wolf for a little over six months now." He responded. "We're almost back to your house."

I had a slight moment of panic. Did that mean he was going to leave me alone?

"Are you going to leave?" I asked him, trying to conceal my worry.

"I'll have to, Bella. I'm sure your father will want the doctor to check you over. I can hear them speaking already. I also have to meet Jared back at my house." He replied.

"Will I see you again?" I asked, sounding almost like a small child.

"Couldn't keep us away if you tried. Trust me, you'll be seeing a lot more of me and Jared, I promise. So much so that you'll probably be sick of us." He smiled down at me causing me to smile back at him.

"I somehow don't think that's possible," I whispered back to him before closing my eyes.

He walked out into the clearing next to my house and yelled, "I found her, she's alright." Before I heard lots of voices.

"Thank you, Sam." I heard Charlie say.

"Do you want me to carry her inside?" Sam asked him.

"If you could. I want Dr. Gerandy to take a look at her so if you could take her up to her room, that'd be great." Charlie told him.

I felt Sam carry me inside and up the stairs before laying me on my bed. He leaned down to whisper in my ear. "One of us will be by in the morning."

I nodded my head in confirmation and felt him leave. In fact, I continued to feel both Sam and Jared as they moved further away.

Felt them.

Dr. Gerandy took a look at me and wrapped my ankle in some gauze before leaving as well, sending Charlie up when he did.

He came in and sat on the edge of my bed, looking at me. "What happened, Bells?"

"Edward took me for a walk in the woods then broke up with me… he left me there in the forest and I tried to find my way back, but I couldn't remember which direction it was, so I got lost. I panicked and tripped over a tree root. I was so tired that I just laid there until Sam found me." I explained to him, not wanting to lie to him.

"If that boy ever shows his face in this town again, I'll kill him. Seriously, he just left you there in the woods?" I nodded. "When did you go for that walk?"

"As soon as I got home from school," I replied tiredly.

"You know what time it is?" He asked and I shook my head no. "It's almost 2 am, Bella. When it hit 10 and you still weren't here, the boys from the station and I went out to look for you. It was almost 1 when Harry suggested for some of the guys from down at the reservation to help and I'm damn sure glad he did. I don't know how Sam found you as quick as he did but I'm grateful."

"I am too. I probably would've gotten hypothermia if he hadn't found me when he did." I said to Charlie honestly.

"Well, you're still shivering so let's get you covered up so you can rest. I'll take off tomorrow to stay and help—"

"No dad, really I'm fine. You don't have to take off work. I promise I'll be okay." I said, cutting him off.

"Are ya sure? I can have one of the guys take my shift if you need me to." He questioned.

"I'm positive," I reassured him.

"Alright then, Bells. Get some sleep and call me at the station anytime tomorrow if you need me." He said, standing up and heading to the doorway.

"I will. Love you, Dad." I said to him just as he was leaving the room.

"Love you too, baby girl."

I fell asleep quickly, but it was an uneasy sleep. I couldn't get warm enough, despite the number of blankets on top of me. Something about it just felt off.

A/N- Welcome my dears to the newest installment of 'I can't keep my mind on just one story so I'll just write 10'. Unfortunately, my mind just hasn't been in the right place to continue my others at the moment, although I am still working on both Anomaly and Alternative Fate.
