Synopsis:
Caulifla & Kale visit Goku. History is different from canon.
Guidance
Caulifla
The Tournament of Power.
A life or death battle between most of the universes, between the most powerful fighters alive. When Cabba had told her of the tournament, she had been ecstatic. Hyped. Engaged. She was going to be fighting the best of the best, practically the top tier in combat. Her expectations increased when Caaba showed her what was a Super Saiyan. It was a glorious form comprised of spiky blonde hair, cold bluish-green eyes, and a powerful aura that sent chills racing throughout her body. After seeing it, she had immediately demanded the Sadala soldier to teach her the form, yet by the time the Tournament of Power had begun, she had unfortunately failed to achieve it.
When the tournament started, as battle after battle raged within the separate dimension they were led to, her focus was inevitably drawn to the two Saiyans who resided within universe seven.
Goku and Vegeta.
They had thrown out transformation after transformation, their chi rising to levels she had never seen before. It had both excited and frustrated her to an untold degree. As the battle waged, she had been helpless in defending her teammates from the likes of the ones called Frieza, Dyspo, Top, and the others.
She even had to watch Hit and Cabba sacrifice themselves for her.
For her!
It had taken everything from Caulifla. Her strength. Her pride. Her dignity. In rage, she had confronted Goku and demanded that he teach her how to transform into a Super Saiyan, and he had readily obliged. From the pits of her rage, from the pits of her despair, her hair turned spiky yellow. Her eyes changed into cold, bluish-green orbs while a powerful aura engulfed her very being.
A couple of minutes later, her student, Kale, transformed too.
Yet her transformation was by accident.
As her student absolutely obliterated the warriors surrounding her, Caulifla had heard Vegeta say that Kale could possibly be her universe's legendary Super Saiyan. Even though she didn't know what that meant, the only thing she cared about was how Kale seemed to have gone berserk. Unsure of what to do, Caulifla eventually followed the advice of Champa, who gave her two earrings. Putting on one, she then managed to get the other on Kale. After that, she couldn't remember anything else besides appearing on the floating stands with the gods, angels, and the others defeated, which was then followed by the horrifying event of her and her universe being wiped from existence.
When she had been brought back to life and learned the events that had transpired after her death, the universe who had won the tournament, she demanded- well…asked, for Champa to take her to universe seven. After months of constantly nagging him, he had begrudgingly complied to her request.
And that was where she was now.
On universe seven's earth, angrily staring at a young dark-haired woman wearing a yellow martial arts uniform with a purple sash, long white sleeves, a purple cloth around her shoulders, turquoise pants, and blue martial arts shoes.
"Hey! I told you I'm not here to start anything crazy lady! I'm just here to find Goku!"
"And I told you to get out of here!" Caulifla heard the woman angrily scream as she dodged the lady's swift strikes. "I'm sick and tired of having to deal with enemies trying to come after my husband!"
"Ma-Maybe Vados dropped us off at the wrong location?" Kale asked from behind, and Caulifla seriously considered it. Dodging a hit aimed at her throat, she stared at her surroundings.
There was no way Goku lived here. Even though it held a rustic charm that promised serenity and relaxation, it wasn't the place a warrior such as him would live in.
"But I sense his chi around this place.' Perhaps she should just find the other warriors who participated in the tournament? That would be a good starting point.
"If you think for one instant I'm going to give up my husband, then-"
"All right! All right!" Caulifla interrupted, watching as the woman grabbed a nearby broom and began striking at her with impressive skill. "I'm going! I'm going! Alight!"
Floating into the she was just about to follow Kale when she felt Goku's and Vegeta's presence appear. Immediately stopping, Caulifla turned back and saw the two Sayians standing protectively before the woman.
'Goku.'
"Anata!"
'Anata?'
"So you did know him!" She accused, pointing a finger at the woman who angrily huffed.
"I don't know you, so why would I tell you anything?! A young, unruly, troubled teen like yourself has no business dealing with my husband!"
"What!"
"Matte! Matte!" Caulifla heard Goku say as he raised his hands into the air while shooting both her and the woman behind him placating smiles. "Everything is okay! Chi-Chi, those two are some of the fighters we faced in the Tournament of Power! Right, Vegeta?"
"Yes, but what they're doing here is something that they should answer. Quickly." Vegeta replied, and Caulifla saw the warrior shoot them suspicious glares.
She glared back.
"Sis." Kale urgently whispered into her ear. Reluctantly nodding, she landed back on the ground and struck her chin out at the two Sayians.
"Don't get your boxers in a twist. We're not here to cause any harm." Caulifla took delight when she heard Goku's wife, Chi-Chi?, gasp in disbelief.
"Really?" Vegeta asked, unconvinced.
"Yeah, "Really." Not like I would be able to stand a chance against you guys anyway." She bitterly replied, ignoring how her pride took a sharp blow. "And that's the point."
Caulifla turned to look at Goku.
'Say it now before you won't say it later.'
"During the Tournament of Power, you and Vegeta turned into transformations I didn't even know existed." Gritting her teeth, she quickly plowed on. "So I was wondering if you could show us how you did it?"
As the afternoon breeze gently rustled the summer leaves on the countless trees surrounding them, Caulifla watched as the two Sayians looked at her with indecipherable expressions.
A moment later, Vegeta scoffed.
"So they're here for you, Kakarot. I should have known." Caulifla watched as he walked past them. "Since that's the case, you handle them. I'm going home."
"Wah- Wait, Vegeta!"
"There's no chance Whis is going to come and pick me up, and there's no way I'm letting you instant transmission me back. So I might as well go back home." Vegeta roughly spoke, then stopped. A moment later, Caulifla saw him slightly turn his head to face them. "By the way, I didn't see Cabba with you guys."
"E-Ever since he achieved Super Sayian 2, he's been off training and fighting crimes that the emperor tasks him." Kale hesitantly replied, and annoyance flickered through Caulifla. That bastard had become a rising star after the Tournament of Power and had received many praises for his performance and newfound power.
Which irritated her because she was still indebted to the self-righteous bastard.
Since she was looking at him, Caulifla swore she saw a smirk appear on Vegeta's face before it was gone a second later, and he was off flying into the air.
"Keee, that guy never always has to play it cool. " Goku said, a large smile on his face, and Caulifla shot him a confused look.
'What?'
"All right." Goku eagerly clapped his hands together. "Before I show you guys anything, how about we eat something first?"
~xXx~
"Oi, are you sure this is a good place for us to train?" Caulifla asked, gazing at the terrain Goku led them to after a deliciously good lunch by his wife, which Caulifla refused to admit, located about an hour away from his home. It was beautiful. The terrain was a mountain landscape filled with countless trees and a waterfall that poured into a massive lake that gleamed underneath the afternoon sun.
If they were going to fight here, she was going to be reluctant to use her full power.
"Yep! I used to train Gohan, and am currently teaching Goten, combat here. As long as we don't throw any chi blasts, and get too crazy, everything is going to be fine!"
"….You know, anybody tell you that you're kind of a carefree guy?" She asked.
He smiled at her.
"Before we start." Caulifla saw Goku focus on Kale, who was floating behind her. "Are you going to be joining in or sitting out? Since you are the legendary Super Sayian in your universe, I think what you should prioritize is control. If you learn how to control your transformation, you could become a serious asset."
"I-uh-well-"
"Of course, she's going to be joining us!" Caulifla interrupted, floating backward to sling her arm around Kale's shoulder. "Once she gets ahold of her power, she's going to decimate anyone who tries to mess with her!"
"Hum….I wonder how she would fair against Broly?"
"Broly?"
Goku nodded, his countenance filling with unbridled excitement."He's our universe's legendary Super Saiyan. The power he holds is unbelievable. Vegeta and I couldn't beat him, and we tried fighting him together."
Caulifla's eyes widened.
"All right! Enough talking!" She said, removing her arm from Kale's shoulder and then floated closer to Goku. There were too many Saiyans stronger than her, and it was irritating. Supremely irritating. "Tell me, how do I turn into those other transformations."
Goku raised an eyebrow.
"First off, I need to see how much chi you have so transform into a Super Sayian, okay? Are you able to control it at will?"
"Of course I can! What do you take me for? A newbie?" Briefly shooting him a glare, Caulifla closed her eyes. Slowly inhaling the fresh, crisp mountain air, she reached deep within and focused on the power hidden from her view. Immediately, a sensation that had become intimately familiar to her rushed through her body. As her chi surged, she opened her now greenish-blue orbs and triumphantly stared at Goku.
"Hah! This is nothing! Now show me something interesting!"
"….Judging by your energy, you should be able to reach Super Saiyan 2 in a few months." Goku replied, his eyebrows narrowed. After a moment, he changed into the aforementioned transformation. Drifting back, Caulifla enviously watched as he effortlessly maintained the form she had been struggling to reach.
'Bastard.'
"- and after you achieve this form, there's Super Saiyan 3 and then Super Saiyan god, Su-"
"Super Saiyan god?" Caulifla asked.
"Yup! Once you reach that state, that's when you really start having fun. Now, I don't think you came here just to see me transform, right?" Goku said, his greenish-blue eyes narrowing with anticipation.
She grinned.
"Obviously! Don't you dare go easy on me!" Momentarily, Caulifla glanced at Kale, who was staring at her in hesitation. "Kale! You coming with me? Let's teach this asshole how Saiyans from Universe 6 do things!"
"Right, sis!" With a loud yell, Kale transformed into Super Saiyan, her massive chi sending fierce winds throughout the air while overpowering both Caulifla and Goku's chi.
Anticipation arching throughout her body, Caulifla gave a brief roar and then charged.
~xXx~
"Kahh! That was a good battle! I thought you were going to go berserk a couple of times!" Caulifla heard Goku say against the loud thumps of her heart and the blood that was rushing through her ears as she lay on the soft grass of the terrain that he had brought them to.
'Bastard's still standing.' The thought crossed her mind as she heavily panted. Which meant she failed in trying to beat him into a pulp. Displeasure rushed through her. Setting the emotion aside, she carefully sat up and saw that he was speaking with Kale, his gi partially ripped while bruises littered his body.
Especially his face.
For some reason, the sight soothed her displeasure a bit.
"-so that's why I thought it would be better to channel my rage in a different way." Kale said. "I have some control when I transform, but-"
"Have you gone to Hit? I think if you asked him, he would be willing to help."
"Hah! That bastard ghosted us the second we got back to our universe." Caulifla said, tsking. "We have no idea where he is or what he's even doing!"
"Sis."
"What? It's not like I'm lying!"
"So you don't have anybody else to train with?" Caulifla shook her head. Back in her universe, there really hadn't been anyone who could challenge her and Kale. For the ones who did, she had gotten bored from either trying to convince them to fight her and Kale or fighting them too much.
"Well, if you ever want a fight, you could always travel here." Goku said, a contemplative expression on his face. "I don't have any problems with that, and I'm pretty sure I can convince Vegeta to spar with you guys. Oh, make sure to bring Cabba too! It would be cool to see how strong he got."
"Ohhh? Deal!" Caulifla immediately replied, shooting Kale an excited look. "Just don't be surprised when I start breezing through transformations, alright?"
"Hah! That would be a sight!" A chi was making its way towards them. Snapping her neck toward the chi, Caulifla soon saw a small young boy who looked exactly like Goku land next to him.
'So this must be Goten.'
"Otau-san!" As the kid conversed with Goku, she extended her senses. 'Little kid has some power to him.'
As expected. Focusing back into reality, Caulifla saw the kid staring at her and Kale with a confused expression.
"What?"
The kid turned to look at Goku.
"Otau-san. Were these the people you were fighting with?"
"Yep! They were in the Tournament of Power! Be careful, Goten, they're really strong!"
The kid's eyes exploded with awe, and he turned back to look at her.
"No way! You got the chance to play with so many other people?!"
"Uhhh….yeah." Caulifla awkwardly replied, standing up. "Though in the end, your pops and his team managed to win."
"Sweet! Trunks and I wanted to play, too, but Android 18 let us play on his island! We got to play as protectors! "
'Trunks?'
"Trunks is Vegeta's kid." Goku filled in. "He's around the same age as Goten."
Filling away the information for later, Caulifla nodded and was just about to ask another question when Vados suddenly appeared in front of them.
'What the-'
Instinctively, she shifted backward, her mind already focused on attacking before she forced herself to calm down.
"Hey Vados! How are you doing? I was wondering how long you were going to watch."
Vados smirked.
"It seems my little brother's training is working."
Goku laughed.
"You were here this whole time?" Caulifla said, frustrated. "And you knew, Goku?"
"Of course, I was here. I need to take you guys back. And Son Goku knew I was here because he's able to sense divine chi."
'Divine Chi?' Sharing a look with Kale, Caulifla knew that she was going to hound Champa for information once they got back to their universe.
"I remained due to you two needing transport back home." Vados said. "I assume that this training session has drawn to an end?"
Caulifla, after receiving a nod from Kale, reluctantly nodded.
"Yeah."
"Very well. Son Goku, thank you for the training session. I believe that Champa will-"
"IIe." Goku interrupted. "It's alright. If they want to visit for more training sessions, I'm right here."
"Oi bas- old man, you better be ready because the next time I come, I'm gonna destroy you." Caulifla promised, watching as Goku's dark eyes lit with challenge.
"Me too!" Kale spoke up. "Sis and I are going to win next time!"
"I'm here." Goku repeated, smirking.
"Can I join?" Goten happily said, raising his hand while pointing to himself. "This sounds like so much fun!"
"Hmmm….you're gonna have to get stronger first, Goten!" Goku said, raising the kid into the air several times. "See how light you are? You're going to be blown away by the wind!"
"Na uh otatu san! I'm not gonna be defeated by the wind!" As Caulifla watched Goku interact with his kid, she felt Vados lift her and Kale off the ground and into the air. The last image she saw before being hurled at light speed through space was Goku and his kid waving goodbye at them.
