Chapter 2

"Asura, it wasn't Knov-san's ability that brought you here." Gon's words hung in the air as he firmly clasped Asura's colossal hand. The sincerity in his eyes was undeniable as he spoke, his voice brimming with earnestness.

Asura, the formidable demigod, regarded the young boy before him, his intense gaze analyzing Gon's every expression. The unwavering determination in Gon's eyes convinced Asura of his honesty. Turning his attention to Knov, who was trembling in fear, Asura felt a pang of sympathy for the frightened man. "I apologize for the misunderstanding," he rumbled, his voice deep and resonant like rolling thunder.

Killua, always the mischievous one, couldn't help but flash a smirk as he casually slipped his hands into his pockets. "You're quite the hothead, old man," he teased, relishing in the opportunity to provoke Asura. The demigod's piercing glare met Killua's defiant gaze.

"Silence, brat," Asura retorted, his words laced with a mix of irritation and amusement. The exchange elicited chuckles from the rest of the group, who had been observing the interaction.

Morel, the leader of the team, intervened, "Lets get inside the portal, we've mission to do" urging everyone to proceed through the portal.

Knov was lonely after the team and their new comrade get inside his portal, he made a havey sigh and was thankful for Gon's intervention stoping this man Asura! He swears that his malice aura were far greater than Shaiapouf or even than the King of Ants.

'I hope this man didn't turn on us, it would be a problem for our mission he could be an useful advantage for extermination the Ants's threat but who knows' he was shaking from his trauma before in the Palace, so he made another portal as an assistant for the team inside the Palace if they need his help.

Inside Knov's portal

After they Stepping into Knov's room dimension, Asura's eyes widened in awe at the sight before him. The ethereal space seemed to stretch infinitely, filled with an otherworldly ambiance. Gon, noticing Asura's fascination, couldn't help but inquire, curiosity shining in his eyes. "You've never heard of nen before, have you?"

Asura briefly studied Gon, contemplating the question. "In my world, we use Mantra," he responded, his voice gruff but not devoid of kindness. "Each demigod possesses a unique power. Mine is wrath."

The group, including Knuckle, Shoot, Ikalgo, and Meleoron, were captivated by Asura's revelation. Morel, reclining back in his chair, leaned forward with interest. "Would you mind sharing your story with us?" he inquired, eager to learn more about the enigmatic demigod and his extraordinary abilities.

Asura uncrossed his arms and nodded, a playful glint in his eyes. "I suppose I could spare some time, but I must admit, I'm rather famished at the moment," he admitted, his deep voice carrying a hint of amusement.

Gon's face lit up with a wide grin as he reached into their bag of snacks. He extended it towards Asura, offering him a selection of treats.

Killua, ever the skeptic, couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Don't eat all our food, old man," he muttered under his breath, earning himself a swift smack on the back of his head from Asura.

"Respect your elders," Asura lectured, his expression stern but with a twinkle of mirth in his eyes. The group erupted in laughter at Killua's pained expression as he rubbed his sore head.

Shoot couldn't help but smile, thinking that Killua had deserved that for his impolite behavior towards the demigod.

With the snack induced peace restored, Asura proposed a trade. "I'll share my story, but in return, I want to learn about nen and your world," he suggested, his voice firm yet tinged with curiosity.

Morel, always the negotiator, nodded in agreement, though he added a condition. "Let's keep it brief, given the time constraints of our mission," he suggested, aware of the pressing tasks ahead. Asura nodded in understanding, ready to immerse himself in a world that was both unfamiliar and intriguing.

Inside the Palace

In the opulence of the Palace, Menthuthuyoupi found himself standing upon the grand primary staircase. A yawn escaped his lips, a testament to the tedium of his duty as the guardian of the royal edifice. Boredom gnawed at him, and he longed for something to break the monotony. However, his mind was troubled by a different matter altogether.

The growing closeness between his king and a human girl, whose name slipped from his memory, unsettled him. Among his siblings, the Royal Guards, Menthuthuyoupi was considered the least intelligent. Yet, he possessed a compassionate and merciful nature that surpassed the sadistic and psychopathic tendencies of his fellow guards, Pouf and Pitou, particularly Pouf.

Lost in his thoughts, Menthuthuyoupi was abruptly jolted back to reality when unexpected intruders materialized out of thin air. Fear and surprise wrestled within him, but his unwavering duty to protect his king propelled him into action. After all, safeguarding the king was his paramount responsibility.

The first to appear were two young boys, one with spiky black-green hair and the other with silver hair. They sprinted towards him with a sense of urgency. Following closely behind them were two adult males, one holding a large smoking pipe while the other was adorned in a flowing purple robe. Additionally, a chimera ant, resembling a dragonfly, veered towards them from another direction.

As the dust settled and the echoes of the clash between Asura and Youpi reverberated through the palace, the remaining members of the Extermination Team found themselves in a state of shock. They had witnessed the sheer magnitude of Asura's power and its devastating impact on Youpi, one of the formidable Royal Guards.

"Did you see that, Gon?" Killua exclaimed, a mix of awe and admiration in his voice. He turned to his friend, seeking confirmation of the incredible display they had just witnessed.

Gon nodded, a glimmer of excitement in his eyes. "Yes, Killua. It's clear now that Asura's story was more than just a tale. He possesses an extraordinary level of power, surpassing anyone else here."

Killua couldn't help but acknowledge that his initial reservations about Asura had been misplaced. When they first encountered him, he had harbored doubts and hesitations.

However, as he learned more about Asura's past and understood the depth of his character, Killua's admiration for the enigmatic figure grew. He had come to appreciate the strength and resilience that lay within Asura.

With newfound determination, the two young men continued their relentless pursuit through the sprawling palace, their sights firmly set on their target Neferpitou.

They navigated the labyrinthine corridors, their footsteps echoing through the opulent halls. The tension in the air was palpable as they drew closer to their goal, their resolve unwavering in the face of the dangers that lay ahead.

After Asura's devastating punch sent Youpi faraway hurtling through the air and crashing outside the Palace.

Asura landed into a rooftop near the heart of the palace, the demigod took a moment to survey the extensive wreckage caused by the attack on the Palace.

The sheer power displayed by the mysterious nen user responsible left him in awe, even though he didn't fully comprehend the intricacies of nen.

Asura couldn't deny the similarities between his own overwhelming wrath and Gon's Enhancement ability.

There was a part of him that saw a reflection of his younger self in the determined kid.

Back to the palace, Shoot, Knuckle, Meleoron, and Morel gathered for a tense discussion about Youpi's fate. The impact of Asura's punch was still reverberating within them.

Knuckle couldn't help but express his astonishment. "This Asura guy... he's a monster," he said, a mix of admiration and relief in his voice. He turned to Morel, seeking guidance. "So, boss, what's our next move now that Asura has sent Youpi flying out of here?"

Morel's expression turned grave as he pondered the question. "I'm not entirely sure," he replied, his voice laced with uncertainty. Then, his resolve hardened. "Knuckle, Shoot, I want you along with Meleoron to find Palm and Ikalgo. Eliminate any Ant soldiers you come across," he commanded, his grip tightening around his trusty pipe.

Shoot's concern for Morel was evident in his voice as he asked, "But boss, what about you?"

Morel's unwavering tone conveyed his determination. "I'm going to find Shaiapouf," he declared, his gaze focused and resolute.

Meleoron, perched on Knuckle's shoulder, added his input. "Let's not waste any time, guys," he urged before activating his ability, God's Accomplice, to conceal their presence.

With their roles defined and a sense of urgency in the air, the group prepared to embark on their individual missions, each driven by their own motivations and the weight of their responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Neferpitou still recovering from the attack by the elderly man whom she suspected to be the mastermind behind the assault on the Palace, focused her nen ability, "Doctor Blythe," to halt her midair momentum. Gripping her tail tightly, she surveyed the surroundings, her gaze inevitably drawn to the injured and enraged figure of Youpi.

Descending gracefully to the ground, Neferpitou called out to Youpi with a mix of concern and curiosity, "Youpi, what happened to you?" The surprise in Youpi's eyes was quickly replaced by urgency as he replied, his voice laced with pain.

"Pitou, what are you doing here? We need to return to the Palace immediately. The King's life is in danger," he pleaded, his hand clutching his injured face tightly.

Stunned by the severity of Youpi's condition, Pitou's mind raced with thoughts and possibilities. "Who could have done this to you?" she asked, her voice filled with a mix of worry and determination. Youpi proceeded to recount his encounter with the intruders, describing the brutal man who had nearly taken his life with nothing but his bare hands.

Pitou's eyes widened in alarm as she grasped the gravity of the situation. It was clear that immediate action was required. "Listen, Youpi," she said, her voice firm and resolute. "You must handle these intruders on your own. I will go to the King and ensure his safety." With those words, she sprinted towards the Palace at an astonishing speed, her determination propelling her forward.

Left behind, Youpi nodded in understanding, his injuries fueling his burning hatred for the man who had come so close to ending his life. His clenched fists trembled as he muttered under his breath, a dark resolve in his voice, "When I find him, he's as good as dead..."

In the aftermath of the meticulously planned attack on the palace, two weathered warriors found themselves standing before their intended target. These men were none other than the esteemed Chairman of the Hunter Association, Issac Netero, and the formidable patriarch of the Zoldyck family, Zeno Zoldyck, who also happened to be the grandfather of Killua. Zeno had utilized his awe-inspiring ability, known as the Dragon Dive, to distract and divert the royal guards, clearing a path for them to reach the King.

However, as they surveyed the chaotic aftermath, they were met with an unexpected sight. Nestled in the arms of the King, amidst the chaos and wreckage, lay an injured girl. Her body was marked by Zeno's powerful nen attack, her blood staining the King's regal form. Their carefully laid plans had been abruptly disrupted by the intervention of Neferpitou, the loyal and powerful Royal Guard, who had utilized her extraordinary En to sense the presence of intruders. She had swiftly made her way back to the palace, only to come to an abrupt halt upon witnessing the King's protective embrace of the wounded girl.

A tense silence hung in the air as Neferpitou, Zeno, and Netero locked eyes, each assessing the situation before them. The King, his once-menacing aura now dormant, gently placed the girl named Komugi in front of Neferpitou, his voice tinged with desperation as he called out to her.

"Pitou," the King's voice resonated, carrying a mix of urgency and vulnerability.

A flicker of recognition and concern crossed Neferpitou's feline features as she bounded over to where the King stood, her loyalty unwavering.

"Hi," Neferpitou responded, her voice filled with a mix of deference and genuine care.

Then, the King made a heartfelt request, his eyes conveying the weight of his plea. "Heal Komugi. I'm counting on you," he implored, his voice laden with a deep, unspoken longing.

Neferpitou's eyes widened with tears that has a mix of confusion and concern. She had been prepared to defend her King at any cost, but now she found herself faced with a different situation altogether. The sight of the injured girl stirred something within her, a flicker of empathy that clashed with her loyalty to the King.

Zeno and Netero exchanged a brief glance, their expressions filled with a mix of curiosity and caution. They had expected a fierce battle, a clash of powers and wills. But now, it seemed that the dynamics had shifted, and they found themselves in uncharted territory.

"Is this your move, King?" Zeno's voice broke the silence, his tone laced with intrigue. "What do you intend to accomplish by healing this girl?"

The King's gaze remained fixed on Komugi, his eyes filled with a complex array of emotions. "She is important to me," he replied softly, his voice carrying a depth that surprised even himself. "Her life holds value beyond measure."

Netero stepped forward, his keen eyes studying the King intently. "You are willing to put your own safety at risk for the sake of a single human life?"

The King's gaze shifted to meet Netero's, a hint of determination flickering within his eyes. "There is more to this world than power and conquest," he responded, his voice steady and resolute. "I have learned that through her."

Neferpitou, torn between her loyalty and the empathy awakening within her, finally spoke up, her voice trembling slightly. "What... what should I do, King?"

The King's gaze softened as he turned his attention to Neferpitou. "Protect her," he said with gentle authority, a flicker of trust passing between them. "Ensure her safety, as you would for me."

Zeno and Netero exchanged another glance, their expressions reflecting a mix of surprise and admiration.

The King's unexpected request caught everyone off guard. With a firm tone, he declared, "Not here... We have to go somewhere else." Netero, although surprised, mentally agreed. The prospect of separating the King from his Royal Guard fell perfectly in line with their plans.

The atmosphere took a sudden turn as a new figure materialized before them. With a sneer on his face, he addressed the King, his words dripping with malice. This man was a sight to behold, with golden arms and whiskers that added an air of mystique. The King regarded the intruder with an intense gaze and questioned, "Who are you, and what is your business here?"

"I am Asura, the demigod of Wrath. I am here to save humanity and put an end to you and your Royal Guards," he declared, his fists clenched tightly in determination.

Pitou's shock was palpable as she recognized Asura as the individual responsible for injuring Youpi with a single punch. Her thoughts raced 'This Asura guy was far more dangerous than the two humans i had encountered before'. She was about to warn the King when he silenced her with a gesture, urging her to focus on her assigned task.

The King turned his attention back to Asura, appraising him carefully. "Impressive. I will accompany you and the two elderly humans on one condition," he stated, a hint of excitement gleaming in his eyes.

Zeno interrupted, his curiosity piqued. "And what would that condition be?"

The King chuckled with a glimmer of anticipation dancing in his gaze. "I want to fight him one-on-one, but in a different location." As he shifted his gaze on Asura.

The Ex-Guardian General response was swift and filled with challenging defiance. "Gladly. Somewhere else is perfect, so nobody can hear your screams of pain," he retorted, his voice laced with confidence.

Asura's bold challenge ignited a flame of anger within the King. He couldn't let such words go unanswered. With a steely determination, he retorted, "We will see about that. Allow me to lead the way." How dare he spoke highly against him!

Without waiting for a response, the King strode forward, passing Asura with an air of confidence. Netero and Zeno fell in line behind the enigmatic King, ready to venture into an uncertain future.

As they moved forward, the atmosphere crackled with tension. Each step they took brought them closer to a confrontation that would test their strength, resolve, and the very limits of their abilities. The path ahead was shrouded in mystery, but the determination etched on their faces spoke volumes about their unwavering resolve.

Silence enveloped the group as they made their way, their footsteps echoing through the empty space. The weight of their respective missions bore down on them, blending with the anticipation of the impending clash. It was a moment where destiny loomed large, and the fates of both humanity and the Chimera Ants hung in the balance.

The King with his regal presence, led the charge. His mind churned with a mix of curiosity and anticipation, eager to pit his formidable power against this demigod of Wrath. Meanwhile, Netero and Zeno exchanged brief glances, sharing unspoken words that conveyed their confidence in their abilities and trust in this strange man's decision.

The path they treaded was treacherous, winding through an untamed wilderness. The surroundings mirrored the intensity of their impending battle, with dark clouds gathering overhead, casting an ominous shadow. Nature itself seemed to recognize the gravity of the moment, as if holding its breath in anticipation of the clash that was about to unfold.

With each passing moment, the tension grew thicker, and the air crackled with the energy of two titans on a collision course. the King's determination burned brightly, unyielding in the face of the unknown. He was prepared to face whatever challenges awaited him, for the sake of fulfilling his own destiny as the King of Chimera Ants and testing the limits of his strength.

Meanwhile, Gon's heart raced in his chest as he sprinted through the intricate corridors of the palace, his destination clear in his mind the towering tower next to the throne room. His legs burned with exertion, but he pushed himself forward, driven by determination and the anticipation of what lay ahead.

As he rounded a corner, his eyes caught a distant glimpse of Morel's Smoky Jail, confirming that neither the King nor Neferpitou was present there. Just as he wondered where they could be, the tower door creaked open, and out stepped the King, flanked by Zeno, Netero, and Asura.

Netero, the wise and experienced chairman, locked eyes with Gon. A hint of recognition flickered in his gaze, and he bestowed a small smile upon the young hunter. With a subtle movement, he pointed behind him, indicating Pitou's location. Gon understood the silent communication, his body surging with adrenaline as he prepared himself for the impending battle.

Asura, the imposing figure standing beside the King, spotted Gon and called out to him. "Gon, don't let your anger and hatred consume you as they did me in the past," he warned, his deep voice carrying a note of concern.

Gon's eyes widened at the unexpected admonition, and he slowly closed them, taking a moment to absorb Asura's words. He took a deep breath, his voice steady and resolute as he responded, "I won't, Asura-san. I promise you that." Asura murmured softly under his breath, "Good kid."

The King, his gaze shifting momentarily to Gon, then turned his attention back to Asura. "It seems more of your friends have joined the party," he remarked with a hint of disdain in his voice.

Asura's response was cold and devoid of respect. "It's none of your concern. Let's proceed so we can end this," he retorted, his tone laced with determination.

The King clenched his jaws, his anger simmering beneath the surface. He vowed to make Asura pay for his disrespectful behavior. His eyes narrowed, focusing on the path ahead. "Fine, proceed," he commanded, his voice tinged with a mixture of annoyance and anticipation.

Netero interjected, his tone serious and commanding, interrupting the exchange between Asura and the King. "Asura is right. I may not fully understand the extent of your power and skills, Gon, but I must accompany you. This fight is mine to begin with," he declared, his voice carrying the weight of experience and resolve.

Asura responded with a dismissive shrug, his nonchalant demeanor unchanged. "Whatever, old man," he muttered, clearly unbothered by Netero's insistence.

At that moment, Zeno stepped forward, activating his Nen ability known as "Dragon Head." With a powerful surge of aura, he conjured a magnificent Nen dragon that hovered in the air beside them. The dragon would serve as the means of transportation for Asura, Netero, and the King, carrying them swiftly to their designated battleground.

Meanwhile, Killua, who had arrived earlier and had been silently observing the unfolding scene, finally directed his gaze towards the King. It was the first time he had laid eyes on the formidable leader of the Chimera Ants.

But before Killua could dwell on his thoughts, Gon's urgent voice snapped him out of his reverie. "Killua, Pitou is over there," Gon exclaimed, pointing towards a specific direction. Killua turned his attention to his friend, a mixture of concern and determination evident in his eyes. "Let's go!" he replied, his voice filled with a resolute determination.

Killua couldn't help but wonder about Gon's cryptic words. 'Let's go... what does he mean by that?' he questioned silently, his curiosity piqued. He restrained himself from voicing his thoughts, recognizing that now was not the time for questioning or second-guessing.

Deep down, Killua understood Gon's admiration for Asura, even though they had only known him for a brief period. He knew how desperately Gon longed for a father figure in his life, and how profoundly the story of the demigod had resonated with his friend.

However, amidst the chaos of their current situation, there was no room for hesitation or looking back. Killua simply nodded in response to Gon's unspoken resolve and leaped off the tower, following his friend's lead, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
