Jasper's P.O.V.:

Weird things started happening around Nina. Everytime I would play a song on the computer for my class something out of phantom of the opera would play. I wasn't the only one things like this happened to. Peter complained about the library always being out of order but Nina or Lucy as she is known having no trouble finding the book she was looking for. Carmen told us that when she pulled up a dance video online she got yoga or self-defense and the fitness test never worked. "My instruments are always out of tune and when I want to show the kids a song it's always Phantom of the opera I never look it up that's what plays." I explained to them while we had something to eat. They laughed before questioning how she was able to do this.

"Hey Peter remember that bar in Edinburgh we went to with the jutbox that only played Everyday?" Carmen asked him.

"You mean that song from the 50's and no one can explain why it's still playing there? Yeah, think we're experiencing something like that? But better question did anyone else notice that Nina's demonic friend has gone missing over a month ago now?" He asked and we nodded. I suggested that we call Edward but Peter stopped me.

"No we need Nina's friend to free the one who was wrongfully imprisoned. And we will find out what is going on with Nina once we're free. We just have to get used to the minor things that happen around her." Carmen guessed it took me a while to figure out what they ment by the one that was wrongfully imprisoned but then it hit me.

"The snake that used to follow Nina around the only one she wasn't afraid of?" I guessed. Peter nodded and I thought he was hiding something from me. He probably was. That snake would appear randomly and was always followed by a fluffy bird the bird seemed to be watching the snake. The snake was protective of Nina. Then both the bird and snake would vanish.

The following week more strange things happened. I caught Lucy talking into a pocket mirror but when I went to investigate it was just her reflection. She started wearing black pants exclusively and light coloured tops with her necklace. "One of my dad's are colour blind we think so this helps him stay cool." She told me when I asked that day her shirt was a lavender purple.

I tried to show the class a new song I found but once again it turned into something from the Phantom of the opera I was just happy it wasn't music of the night again.

That's when Lucy somehow changed the song to a more recent version of Carry on my wayward son. As if she was trying to send me a message of forgiveness. I don't know if I deserve it this time I don't believe that I ever did. The rest of the day went by easy enough. I sat in a staff meeting after school with Carmen and Peter. There was the science teacher Muriel Williams who was very excitable. She was excited about Lucy who just did her biology project on plants. I rolled my eyes.

The next school year when Lucy walked in with clip in highlights and a new look. Her hair was shorter in the back then the sides and front. Her music taste also updated. She started playing a new instrument a violin which she brought from home. "I picked it up over the summer while my dad and I were in Europe at a camp. My dad got me this on our day out." Lucy explained to another kid who asked her about it while she was tuning it.

She spent the rest of class playing random things. The songs were from anytime or anyplace. This then turned into a jam session. She was at peace if I didn't know better I would say she looked like an angel hiding with humans but her eyes were now green. Not mostly green just straight up green.

"Put that thing away you are giving me a headache." I demanded and Lucy then looked like any other kid in the class and her eyes were back to normal. She put it away and just sat in the corner to do math work since Peter, Carmen and I convinced the school that Lucy didn't need extra help. She talked to her mirror again.

That day after school I sat at restaurant with Peter and Carmen. "How could someone change so much in two months? She looked almost angelic in class today." I pointed out.

"So I wasn't the only one who noticed that she seemed at peace." Carmen added. Peter hasn't added anything to our conversation. That's when our waiter came over. We were lucky it was a guy who looked exactly like Riley. His name was Cas.

"Aren't you one short?" He asked us. Well shit he knows. Carmen looked interested while Peter was texting on his phone. I lied about not knowing what he was talking about. "I'm so sorry you three just look like people from my dreams normally there is a fourth one with you. She has blonde hair like the sun, teeth as white as the snow on Christmas morning, and hazel eyes that changes with her mood. She went by Nina but I called her my bird because she had an angelic singing voice that reminded me of a bird. She loved music and her cars and food. But anyway let me guess whiskey for the men and something fruity and with a kick for the lady?" He rambled. We nodded and he walked off.

"Is that who I think it is?" Carmen asked us. Peter nodded and I sighed having a bad feeling. It was correct since Michael walked in with the older man and took Cas away. "Wait Jasper when Rose got her to watch that show you know the one about the hunters who did our sister say her favourite character was?" Carmen asked me when a different waiter brought our drinks. I didn't understand why this question was important but Peter looked interested.

"Castiel, the angel why do ask?" I replied then it dawned on me. Cas could be short for Castiel if that was Riley it was a name Nina would like. I feel bad about how he will view her now.

The next week Lucy came to school looking terrible. Her eyes were all red and puffy from crying, her hair was all dishevelled and her clothes that she normally kept neat were mussed. It looked like she just had a panic attack. She just sat in the corner and cried.

I wanted to tell her she was not alone but my body wouldn't listen. She then started playing a sad song on her violin. She was in pain. I think she was faking smiles at home. I'm also sure she knew more than she let on. She probably knew what happened to Riley. Carmen and Peter couldn't remember where Nina's secret spot was so we couldn't do anything with it.

That summer none of us were able to find Lucy and her dad. Their house was empty. "Where did they go?" I asked Peter.

"Would you believe Seattle? Where the last key for her fully remembering is." Peter told me and I frowned. Seattle was too close to Forks. She'll probably go exploring our house. So we moved and changed names and looks. Peter was going to be a History teacher this time, Carmen was going to be geography and I was going to do English. What we didn't expect was for Lucy to plop down in our grade 10 classes looking smug.

At her side was a girl with flaming red hair named Veronica. "Lucy you will just love this bakery around the corner. The guys who work there have the most adorable little accents one is French and the other Spanish I believe. But why would you do summer school willingly?" She asked the blonde next to her. Lucy then explained that it was one of her dads ideas after what happened in middle school. She shot a look at me as if knowing I was hiding what I really looked like. That made me wonder which dad it was that had this idea. I looked at her record and found that over the summer she got all of grade 9 out of the way so she bypassed Carmen. That's when the fourth new teacher the new Science teacher made himself known. It was Riley well Cas who just looked at Lucy like she was a speck of dust.

Lucy's P.O.V.:

Meeting Veronica was the last thing I needed to fully remember my past as Nina. I felt whole but yet like something was missing. I know it was Riley and the rest of my family. I ran into Carlisle and a few others already in the past I hope I don't have to save them two. I knew I had to save my siblings and Riley. Since Riley told me himself in a dream last school year and now he was in front of me and I knew what was going to happen.

When Veronica told me about the bakery where I guess Antonio and Jean-Paul worked, I jumped at the chance to see them. That's when our first English project was handed out a book report. With a chapter-by-chapter summary and then an overall summary of the book. The books were assigned to us and we weren't allowed to switch.

Veronica got one of my personal favourites 'The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.' and she groaned. "I don't know anything about this." She told me before groaning again. I looked at the book I got and frowned it was one I hated. I only read it once over a summer and failed to retain any of the story. That book was 'Magnus Chase and the Sword of Fire by Rick Riordan' it was now my turn to groan. So much for it being easy.

I know that the papers were switched since the one after Veronica's originally was something I liked. What it was is not important. But anyway, after school, Veronica gave me the address of the bakery before going to meet her other friends. I headed there with a spring in my step.

When I walked in I was greeted by the sweet smell of freshly baked goods and the sounds of two people singing to the radio or a phone. I didn't know it and neither did Nina or Nico so we sat down and let the two sing their song.

"Started on a one-way train. Always knew where I was gonna go next. Didn't know until I saw your face. Was missing out on every moment. You'll be one and baby I'll be two. Would you mind it if I said I'm into you?

So if it's real. Then darlin' let me know. I wouldn't mind. If you steal the show.

You and I, we go together. You're the sky. I'll be the weather. A pretty thing. The sun and rain. Who knew? Ooooh yeah, summer night, perfect occasion. Where am I? You know I'll be waiting. For you. Ooh for you.

So if it's real. Then darlin' let me know. I wouldn't mind. If you steal the show. So if it's real. Then darlin' let me know. I wouldn't mind. If you steal the show.

You shine, you shine, like forever. Lasts forever. You shine, you shine, and steal the show. So if it's real. Then darlin' let me know. I wouldn't mind. If you steal the show. So if it's real. Then darlin' let me know. I wouldn't mind. If you steal the show." the two boys sang and laughed after they finished, before noticing I was there.

They gave me the name of the song when I asked it was 'Steal the Show' by someone named Lauv. "What can we get for you, Mademoiselle?" one of the guys asked me.

"Wait let me guess Mi amigo. A few cookies with apple cider? " Suggested the other and I nodded. The French one went to get my snack. That's when the door opened. A girl with short black hair and blue eyes walked in.

"It's you I can't believe we found you. I mean I knew that we would but I was never sure on when. Sometimes you were just a kid others you were in college and others a teen. But I can see you are going for a light-on-dark colour scheme this time. It suits you." the girl started rambling at me. The two boys sighed.

"Ally breath she might not know what to make of all this." The French one told their friend.

"Nonsense J.P. I'm sure she knows who we are she is just worried that we don't know ourselves. Isn't that right Nina?" The girl asked me.

"Ally you can't just assume that it's her." The other one pointed out. I sipped at my drink watching the three go back and forward. I was finding it amusing until Nina told me that to protect them we would have to play clueless. Nico and I hated that idea so we said nothing.

"So what is your name?" The girl asked me. I ignored her thanking the two boys telling them I would come back another day before saying my dad needed me to pick up something.

"Why of course mon ami. Would you like to take some sweets home?" the French one asked.

"Yes please my dad would enjoy them two." I replied and paid the bill before leaving. I got more tea for my dad on my way home and he looked up from his book when I came in. He looked confused when I picked up the book I had to read for school.

"I thought you said that you would never touch that book again." He mused as he changed the record. I groaned wanting to toss the book to the wall already. My dad seeing how tense I was went to make us tea. "Oh, where did the sweets come from?" My dad asked.

"A bakery by the school Nina thinks she recognized the two guys who work there. Then a college girl came in and started asking questions so I left. But you were right about the book stupid English teacher is making me read this on purpose. I could have been reading Treasure Island." I muttered the last bit. My dad looked at me sympathetically. He brought the tea over.

"Not this again but what does Nina and Nico think?" He asked and I explained that they agree with me. He nodded and we left it at that.

Carmen's P.O.V.:

Lucy was doing everything she could to avoid us. But that was not going to stop Riley. He followed her to a bakery after school one day but was confronted by Muriel who was just leaving the bakery herself. "She told me off." he told us at our house. Peter was laughing.

"You are lucky you weren't smitten by her but again she is too nice to do that." Jasper pointed out. I just zoned out. If Riley was here did that mean that Graham was out there somewhere?

Over the school year, Lucy slowly changed things about herself. First, the snake tattoo came back and she refused to remove it, the second thing she changed was her hair she had it in a way that she wore sunglasses all the time now, the last thing she changed was her clothes went from bright shirts to dark this happened so slowly no one noticed. Now the only bit of colour on her was the white feather charm on her necklace.

She didn't interact with anyone other than Veronica. I heard her say it was for the best if she didn't. Even at lunch, she sat alone with the lunch her dad packed for her that always had too much sugar. She would then sigh and with a snap of her fingers be eating something else. Of course, there were the rare days she bought her lunch. It was once every two months.

I decided to go to the bakery and pick up some things when I saw Jean-Pual. He didn't seem to recognize me though. "How can I help you today?" he asked that's when I noticed that Antonio was helping Lucy with her homework that Riley made too hard on her. Peter has tried to mess her up in history but she could answer everything.

"Just four turnovers and a tea, please." I respond to the question. I got home and sat in a chair to grade papers. Peter thinks we still have five years like this. Jasper and I both know that he is hiding something from us. It probably was nothing good.

"I can't find a copy of the book for my book report anywhere." I heard Veronica complain to Lucy. Who rotated her hand behind her back I didn't think anything about it until the two girls stopped and Lucy opened her bag.

"That's okay I have a second copy of it why don't you borrow it? I prefer classic lit then what I have to read so I had this in my bag as a palette cleanser." Lucy offered earning her a hug from the other girl. I'm sure that book wasn't in her bag originally.

"Robin you are the best. Thank you I owe you one." The other girl exclaimed taking the book carefully. They then went their separate ways to their classes. That summer Lucy and her dad were nowhere to be found again.

The following September I couldn't believe that it was Lucy in my class. She sat next to Veronica and they talked about their summers. Veronica went to see her cousins and Lucy spent the summer studying and doing an extreme diet and exercise plan. Other kids started to compare her to the goddess Artemis. She didn't pay attention but got everything right.

"Are you paying attention to what I'm saying?" I asked her. She admitted to not paying attention to me. I never thought Riley would let anything too bad happen to Lucy, Jasper, Peter and I were doing our best to make sure she lived through high school but we didn't guess Riley would let a kid send her to the ER.

Riley was on lunch duty when some kid saw Lucy's frozen treat and decided that their mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwich wasn't good enough. They swapped them and then Lucy being distracted took a bite. That's when Veronica's friends started yelling at Riley to do something. I walked in while Veronica just pulled out the Epipen and used it. Riley on the other hand just watched the whole time.

We talked about that after school. "I don't see the big deal if she dies she is out of the way." He tried to justify his actions. Both Peter and Jasper looked horrified. More than when I told them what happened. They both slapped him and I kicked him where it hurt.

"We need her to live she is the savour. And she can not save us if she's dead. We will have to wait until she is born again but it will be too late." Peter started rambling. I just wanted to go to bed. I wished Jasper and Peter a good night and went to bed.

"She can't save anyone she doesn't even stand up for herself." Was the last thing I heard before I fell asleep. I was sure it was Riley who said it two. I am finding it hard to believe that he was ever in love with the person who is now Lucy.
