Sailor Moon: Not Every Enemy Stays Defeated Chapter 10: Episode 10:5: The Moon & Mercury, a sailor moon fanfic

Hey Everyone, Miles here to say, like every fanfic, I don't own any of the media that I use or reference. I'm just telling a story and that's all there is to it.

Episode 10, Part 1: The Moon and Mercury

As the two entered the mall, Ami was mesmerized when Usagi grabbed her hand and started running.

(Ami) Okay, I think we're goOD!-

As Usagi ran, it seemed like she was looking for something.

(Ami) Woah, Usagi! We're not being followed.

(Usagi) Well, just in case.

Usagi then ran into a clothing department store. Then, she dragged Ami to the back and they crouched next to a large group of suits that were on sale.

Usagi was getting up when she immediately dropped down again.

(Ami) What? Were we followed? I thought there were only three of them.

(Usagi) It's the military remember? They're not just gonna let a couple suspects go without requesting additional troops.

Ami looked from under the display rack and saw that there were definitely a pair of combat boots at the far entrance of the store.

(Ami) What should we do? We can't just switch disguises here.

(Usagi) Sure we can. I don't see anyone looking, do you?

(Ami) What? You can't be serious. Here? Now?

(Usagi) Yup. Could you look away for a second?

Ami was confused and looked away. Then she heard a quiet poof and looked again.

When she looked, Usagi was now a business woman with her hair now straight instead of the twin buns. SHe wore a grey dress that supported a short, black blazer and a pair of unnoticeable running shoes.

She looked at Ami through the gas mask.

(Usagi) Okay your turn, hurry

Now, Ami changed her own appearance.

After changing, she also went for a business look, but she was now in a suit that was deep sea blue with a black tie to finish it off. She went for a pair of flat shoes that were black to match the suit, but also in case she needed to run again.

The two snuck to another clothing rack that was out of sight from the entrance of the store. There, they each stood up and walked towards the entrance.

As they were about to exit, an undercover soldier stopped them. He then greeted them with a welcoming smile.

(Undercover 1) Excuse me ma'am, may I speak to you and your friend for a second? This won't be long.

The two went with the soldier to the outside of the department store.

Ami was terrified. She knew that the officer had easily saw through their disguises and was about to arrest them, thus ending their mission and their lives.

She had her eyes shut as hard as she could. But froze when she listened to the ensuing conversation.

(Officer) So, did you see them? Those damn people... I can't believe people are plotting to threaten the military in Shibuya.

(Usagi) I know! Those idiots don't have a clue of the world of hurt they're in for.

(Officer) So, are they still in there? Oh, is your friend okay?

(Usagi) Oh, I couldn't believe it! They asked her for help and then threatened her for rejecting them, the nerve! Also, yes, they're still in there. They're in the back, hiding behind clearance racks, plotting their escape. I think you can still get those little terrorist if you go now!

(Officer) Thanks! And will do. You should take your friend home, she looks a little shaken up.

(Usagi) Thank you officer I will. And one more thing, get in a few blows for me will ya?

(Officer) Sure will ma'am.

Ami opened her eyes. The officer was walking towards two other officers, who were also undercover. They went into the store and the shudders closed behind them. She couldn't believe it, they were free.

Usagi whispered to her.

(Usagi) Come on! We have to get out of here before they realize we're not in there.

The two walked outside and then to a visitor center that was still open. There was a man behind the counter greeted them.

(Cashier) Hello ladies, how can I help you?

(Usagi) Yes, we would like a map of the town.

(Cashier) Why, don't you live here?

(Usagi) Oh yes, we do, but we moved right before the bacteria started showing up. Thank the gods that we already had jobs and accomodations!

(Cashier) Damn! I'm sorry to hear that. Here, its a map with everything you need to know.

The cashier pointed out all of the local attractions and hotspots, but most importantly, the local hospital.

(Usagi) Thanks so much, c'mon Amira! We gotta try one of these places!

Ami was so confused. Usually it was her coming up with all of the plans and taking charge when Usagi wasn't up to it. But here she was, helping everyone escape and then getting help from locals without raising suspicion.

(Ami) (Also, who the heck is Amira!?)

After walking out of the center, Usagi dropped her bubbly act and returned to her serious and focused attitude.

(Usagi) Alright. Let's head to the hospital. Hopefully there's somewhere we can camp out while we wait.

The two walked, using the maps as a guide.

But Ami was confused by Usagi's behavior. Usually she would be stumbling to keep her cover, but whenever someone talked to her, she was more like her old self.

Suddenly, while she wasn't paying attention, Ami bumped into Usagi's back.

(Ami) Huh? Why'd we stop?

(Usagi) Well, there's a few places we could go... There's a cafe, a apartment complex and a park.

(Usagi) I would love to go to a cafe right now because tea sounds amazing, but we're broke. Where do you think we should go Ami?

(Ami) Well, judging by our options, I would say the park, but there's too many people there, we'd be suspicious immediately. But lets go to the cafe for now, its a little cold out here.

(Usagi) Great idea!

The two walked into the cafe and sat down at a table. They didn't order but just looked outside at the now early afternoon scene. It was almost nice, if it weren't for the gas masks that everyone was wearing.

Ami looked around, there were others in the cafe, but none of them had any drinks in front of them. Everyone was just chatting like normal, there were staff, but they merely watched everyone from behind the counter.

(Ami) Huh, I guess there's no drinks right now since we're in moderate right now. I guess it is also a good thing since we don't have any money.

Usagi laughed a little. She seemed a little more like herself now, admiring everything, pointing out obvious things to Ami and even doing so with her bubbly personality intact.

(Ami) (Hm... Maybe I'm wrong. She might've just been putting up a front so that everyone stayed calm and trusted her.)

Snapping out of her daydream, she noticed officers walking by and got nervous, she motioned towards Usagi. The officers seemed to have cold looks on their faces.

Usagi then stopped talking and then waved at the officers, happily

Ami looked at Usagi, what the hell was she doing!? She whispered as to not drag attention to themselves like last time.

(Ami) Usagi! What are you doing!? We're trying to not get spotted, not make them our friends.

The soldiers stopped. They waved back and went another direction. To them, these two looked like the suspects, but there's no way one of them would just wave at them so friendly and openly. Those people always tried to stay hidden, at least, when they were still around.

(Usagi) Not being spotted includes trying to blend in. I know they seem dangerous, but if we just act friendly, they'll leave us alone.

(Ami) I just don't get it. How are you so calm right now? Our friends are still out there and could've gotten caught by now. There's even the part where you've been giving orders and developing strategies. What is this all of a sudden?

(Usagi) Huh? What do you mean? I'm just doing what I think you would do in my position.

(Ami) Oh come on. Really? I don't believe that for a second! I wouldn't have done any of those things because they happened way too fast. I would've gotten caught a long time ago.

(Usagi) Don't downplay yourself Ami, you're a smart girl who has help the Sailor Guardians on multiple occasions with your ideas, some of them even saved our lives.

Ami blushed a little at the comment, she was glad they were wearing masks or else she would be embarrassed.

(Usagi) On another note, we should head to the apartment now. We need to contact the others without raising suspicion.

(Ami) Right.

The two walked out of the cafe, making their way to the apartment building near the hospital. At the entrance, they looked around. There weren't any soldiers or cameras in sight.

The two changed back and put on their invisibility cloaks. They snuck around the building and found the rooftop access. They went back outside, there weren't any cameras here either thankfully.

The two took off the cloaks and returned them to their original forms, the transformation pens.

Usagi took out her transceiver. First she contacted Rei and Hotaru. Hotaru answered, but she used hand signals to let Usagi know that they hadn't lost their officers yet.

She did the same with Makoto and Minako. Minako picked up.

(Minako) Hey Usagi. Are you guys alright?

(Usagi) Yeah, we're already safe. What about you two?

(Minako) Not yet, we lost the officers. But we can't find a second exit. But there's something wrong with this place. There's dried blood everywhere and it REEKS in here.

(Usagi) Thats odd. But since you lost them, just use your invisibility cloaks to sneak out of the way you went. When you guys find a safe place to catch your breath, call me. Also, when you go back out into public, change your disguise since they know what they look like.

(Minako) Got it, thanks Usagi. See ya soon.

Minako hung up.

Now she contacted the last group, Haruka and Michiru.

She called them and Michiru answered. She looked shaken.

Usagi used hand signals to ask if they were okay. Michiru nodded.

(Usagi) Are you two okay?

(Michiru) Yes, we're okay. How about you?

(Usagi) we lost them and got to a vantage point. Are you two still at the music hall?

(Michiru) Yes, but the officers are at the only exit.

(Usagi) Have you two looked for another way out or is that the only way?

Michiru quickly looked to the side, a sound and a muffled deep voice called out to them.

(Michiru) They're coming in. I'll call you when we're safe.

(Usagi) Understood, good luck.

(Michiru) Thanks.

Michiru disconnected.

Usagi was worried about them. She thought that, if anything, the others would've been safe sooner than them. Not the other way around.

(Ami) It's okay Usagi. They'll be okay, we just need to trust them.

This eased Usagi's worry and she smiled a little.

(Usagi)Yeah. We'll just have to wait for them to call us. Then I'll tell them t come here.

(Ami) Okay.

The two sat down and relaxed as noon became early evening.
