Chapter 3 - Away from Konoha
(BEGINNING OF LAND OF WAVES ARC)
It would've already been an hour and a half since Team 7 have been reported to guard the Drunk Old Man to the Land of Waves as they would all leave their houses and get ready to step foot outside of Konoha at last. They were all excited but it all gloomed down after thinking over the Old Man's actions from before.
"Alright Team, do ya have everything together?" Cloud asked as he would have his kunais in his pouch and his Stormbreaker his trusty big sword on his back.
"Yeah sensei we are ready but what is that on your back?" Taiyo would ask, pointing to the back of Cloud.
"Oh this is just a big sword that I carried for years" Cloud would say as he would tease the sword to the whole team.
The Old Man would go up to Team 7 and apologize for his actions when he was drunk. It turns out his name was Miyamoto and he was an old man from the land of waves of course but he needed help with his bridge because random attackers would destroy the builders progress and caused deaths around the bridge so he needed people to protect his bridge and his people.
"Enough being said, Hokage wants us to leave now" Cloud would say as they would head near the Village gates getting ready to leave Konoha for a long and dangerous mission ahead of them.
It would be 30 minutes away from Konoha and some strange things have already occurred. They have witnessed a robbery, exotic animals and strange screechings in the background of the forest. Taiyo would stick close to Cloud for defense, Shiro and Hikadai would have their swords out ready to attack whoever comes from wherever.
Out of nowhere, two assassins would dash towards Team 7, Taiyo would stand there in shock as Cloud would take care of the assassins and Hikadai and Shiro would protect Miyamoto. Cloud would be overwhelmed by the Assassins as they would cut his body off from his stomach as the team would stand there in shock as Cloud's body would drop to the ground lifeless.
Hikadai would go from taking care of Miyamoto to attacking the Assassins as he would go serious on killing them, letting off Lightning Projectiles as they would shake the ground beneath them causing them to fall on the ground as one of the assassins would dash their way in.
But then Cloud would come out of nowhere and clothesline the assassins as they would be rendered unconscious. Hikadai and Taiyo would stand there surprised that Cloud would be alive.
"POOF!" The other Cloud would turn into a Log as Cloud would give a thumbs up signaling that he's ok before he ties the assassins to a tree as he would wake them up trying to get information out of them.
"Why did you two attack me and the rest of my team on a random escort mission, speak before I have you both killed here and now." Cloud would say as he would take out his stormbreaking and infusing chakra into it pointing it at the two assassins as they would be scared mindless.
"L-look m-man we are only hired, we are d-doing this for the money we w-was paid.." One of the assassins would say as Cloud would pick them up from the rope. "Wh-what are you going to do with us?" The assassins would say.
"Oh nothing, you're just going to be reported back to Konoha.." Cloud would say as he tosses them back on the ground and summons a messenger bird writing down to bring Konoha Police over to arrest the two assassins as they would be there for another 30 minutes before Police fully arrests them.
After the long arrest they would go back from their journey trying to forget what happened as Cloud would stop the team asking Taiyo a question. "Taiyo, why did you get scared when they arrived?" Shiro asked with a confused expression.
"I-i w-well, I felt scared to be attacked during a mission for the first time.." Taiyo would say with sorrow in his voice as he would be disappointed in himself for being scared during an attack. He would take out a kunai and stab himself through his stomach making a big cut but not big enough to kill him or make him unconscious.
"THAT'S WHY I PROMISE… THE NEXT TIME WE GET ATTACKED LIKE THAT AGAIN, I WON'T SIT THERE SCARED OVER NOTHING BECAUSE I HAVE A GOAL TO PROTECT THIS VILLAGE WITH MY LIFE, AND THAT'S MY NINJA WAY.." Taiyo would shout out as the team would be shocked that he had stabbed himself through the chest and he doesn't even realize.
"Uhm, Taiyo.. You stabbed yourself through the chest.." Hikadai would say as Taiyo would look at the kunai he stabbed himself with. He would then start running around scared as he sees the Kunai and thinks he's gonna die.
"Calm down Taiyo, you should be fine." Cloud would say as he would calm Taiyo down to inspect his belly as he would take out the Kunai and see that it would start healing faster than usual.
"Huh that's strange, he's healing faster than usual.. could it be because of the nine tails that's sealed inside of him?" Cloud would say as he would look at the sealing and he would get a quick glimpse of the 9 tails inside of Taiyo.
"S-sensei am I going to be alright?" Taiyo would say as he would be worried that he might die.
"You'll be fine Taiyo just put some bandages over the cut and you'll be alright soon enough." Cloud would say as he would pull out a roll of bandages and put some on Taiyo before they would continue walking again. Not so long after they would detect a weird chakra network nearby.
"Everybody stick close to Miyamoto, If anything strange pops out, move him out of the way immediately and take care of the enemy." Cloud would say as he would get a Kunai out not ready to take his stormbreaker out. The rest of team 7 would take a kunai out. They would try to detect this weird chakra network and as soon as they found out they threw a kunai near it and the chakra would run rampant but come to a sudden stop.
Cloud and the rest of Team 7 would go investigate the strange chakra just to find out it's only a little fox that was scared. Taiyo would pet the fox and show its comfort as it looked afraid.
"The Fox is completely harmless Cloud-sensei what is wrong with yall." Taiyo would say as he pets the fox. Cloud would go investigate the fox and find out it has a ninja headband and when he goes to look at the ninja headband it would be a Kirigakure Symbol.
"If that's a Kirigakure ninja headband then that would mean." Cloud would be thinking as in a last minute effort Cloud would yell out.
"TAIYO MOVE AWAY FROM THE FOX QUICK!" he would yell as a sword would be darting its way to Taiyo and Taiyo quickly move's out of the way. The Sword would then puff into smoke creating a large smoke bomb that covers the area. This would give Team 7 a hard time to search around for enemies but they would stay in their areas in case of an attack.
The smoke clears and a person with white hair, blue eyes, lengthy body and a Kirigakure chuunin outfit on would stand there with a sword on his back staring down at Team 7 as they would have chills on their back finally seeing who this person is.
"It's an honor to meet you.. Cloud Namikaze, The Stormbreaker.." he would say as he looks at cloud and his large sword literally called the Stormbreaker.
Cloud would identify who this person is as he would finally say his name. "Ryudo Hozuki of Kirigakure.. Intangibility being your greatest strength." Cloud would say as he would smirk.
"It seems you have done your Research Namikaze.." Ryudo would say as he would take out his sword getting ready to dash at Team 7. Cloud would hold back Miyamoto, keeping him away from Ryudo.
"Shiro, Taiyo, Hikadai stay back and guard Miyamoto while I take care of him, I'll make this quick.." Cloud would say as he would finally take out his Stormbreaker. He would watch for sudden movements of Ryudo.
Ryudo would then start moving in to attack Cloud as their battle would begin, multiple sword attacks which would cancel out each other as Cloud would send 1 shadow clone towards his way and he would charge up Fire Projectiles in his way. Ryudo would go through the fire with his water intangibility, canceling out any fire jutsus.
"I see, his water tangibility is serious, it can counter any fire based jutsus, Hozuki's are a real threat." Cloud would think as he would observe Ryudo. Ryudo would smirk "as you may know, fire styles don't seem to be working on my intangibility.
Cloud would lace his Stormbreaker with Lightning Infused Chakra and slam it towards the ground sending Lightning Shockwaves towards Ryudo as he would blend in with nearby water. This same water would keep him in the battle as long as he stays near.
Cloud would observe all of his movements before moving back to his team to report. "Hikadai, Shiro, Taiyo this guy has water intangibility meaning that he will faze through and cancel out any Fire Projectiles. If you ever engage contact with him use either Wind or Lightning Jutsus. Cloud would put down his Stormbreaker and place it near a tree. He would take out a kunai and wrap it with a seal.
Hikadai knowing what he's sealing on the jutsu would be caught off guard. "T-The Flying Thunder G-God.." Hikadai would say.
"What are you talking about Hikadai?" Taiyo would say as he would look around.
"You don't understand, Cloud-sensei is using the flying thunder god, the same S-Rank Jutsu used by all Namikazes for generations ever since the clan has been born. I've seen a seal of it before, I just never seen it being used in action." Hikadai would say as he watched Cloud's steps.
Cloud would move towards the raging waters with his hand on his Marked Kunai as he would watch for sudden steps. He knows far beyond this point that every move he makes counts because if he doesn't defeat this guy, he will fail this mission.
"Ryudo Hozuki of the Mist. You are a serious threat to this mission.. Moving forward this Mission will be considered an A-Rank Mission."
