One night when it is late a few days later Nyssa and Tegan are laying on the bed lazily playing with each other's hands. "It seems the two regenerations were quite cruel at times. While ours was an idiot at times."

"Oi."

Tegan ignores the Doctor she traveled with, "at least ours didn't play mind games or try to choke us."

"I am right here you know, Tegan."

"I am ignoring you Doctor."

"I have a question for you, Tegan Jovanka."

"What is it?"

"I want the two of us to have a small discussion with a certain someone dating Ace."

"You know Graham is a good guy. Even before they started dating, Ace seemed more relaxed around everything."

"I just want to make sure he knows if he hurts her."

"He won't hurt her, and she won't hurt him."

"I just need to."

Tegan sits straight up on the bed, "Doctor they are both grown up and middle aged."

"So."

"You also hurt her a lot during your travels, you think someone that has had a few experiences the same as her will treat her with respect."

"I know he will treat her with respect."

"Then why do you want to threaten him, and what makes you think Ace would be receptive to that."

"She knows about it, last time I almost caught her and Graham being all hands and lips."

"You need to let her have her time with Graham. It's the reason why I see them arguing so much. The amount of times one of us, well Martha or I have had to make it so Yaz won't see them flirting and arguing at the same time is an outrageous amount considering it was recently they admitted that they love each other. Ace has been trying to figure out ways so the two can get some private moments. Just like the time the both of them snuck to a small back room when Nyssa arrived to make out with each other."

"Tegan stop it."

"You need to let Ace be the adult she is. She loves Graham, they make each other happy."

"You already said that."

"I know, but get it through your thick Time Lord skull, Ace is in love with someone you traveled with not that long ago by earth standards. You know him better than I do."

"Graham is a great guy, loves with all of his heart like Ace does."

"See, they are great for each other." Tegan is getting even more agitated.

"Honey, he cares about her," Nyssa sits up on the bed too and wraps her arms around Tegan's waist.

"Do all my former companions end up shaking up together?"

"Most but not all, you know both Nyssa and I have been married to people that didn't know you."

"And how did those end?"

"The birth of my children and the death over 10 years ago of my husband." Nyssa adds.

"Oh."

"And you already know about the two divorces and the adoption of my son."

"I do."

"What Ace has is a rocky relationship with her brother, some good friends, A Charitable Earth and a growing relationship with Graham, that keeps getting interrupted by someone." Tegan looks pointedly at the Doctor.

"Ok ok, I will try and figure out what is going on, but I will need the three of you to get together, and I know I will face the wrath of you, Ace and Graham."

"Good. Now leave." The Doctor disappears.

"You must really care about Yaz."

"I do, she was in love with her Doctor. For a little bit she was ok after leaving, but one night she watched a movie and thought of the Doctor and she appeared. She locked herself in her room for days. Martha called Ace, Graham and I. The three of us went over there, though Ace and Graham argued a lot. I was thinking if it was flirting or arguing, now I know it was mostly sexual frustration."

"Poor kid."

"We know how she feels. I know how I was during my last few months of traveling with the Doctor after you left."

"I know how I was for those few months when the Doctor and I were traveling alone when not threatening the Time Lords for thinking the Doctor was guilty of something he wasn't."

"You are my feisty," Tegan stops.

"Your feisty what," Nyssa looks deep into Tegan's eyes.

"Love of my life," Tegan takes both of Nyssa's hands, "I have loved you since we were trying to carry the Doctor in that zero-gravity cabinet."

"I have loved you since you tried to badly fly the TARDIS."

"You know that was all the Master."

"I do. Tegan Jovanka."

"Yes, Nyssa of Traken."

"I love you."

"I love you too, and I love your kids." Nyssa leans in for a kiss that turns passionate. There is a knock on the door.

"We may not have the Doctor interrupting us, but we do have my kids."

"MUM, Neeka is hogging everything again."

"You would think they are teenagers with how they argue, are you sure you want both of them here and not one of them with Ace?"

"They are a part of you, plus Adric sees Graham there every morning and says some mornings he catches them having a nice good morning snog. They both start at UNIT tomorrow and I am sure once they save up some money, we can get Yaz to rent a place with them, so they have someone their age to hang out with."

"That is not a bad idea."

"MUM!"

"Come in, Adric."

"Can you please get Neeka to stop hogging the bathroom, I have had to pee for the last hour." Nyssa and Tegan share a look.

"Why don't you use our bathroom, while your mum talks to Neeka," Tegan suggests.

"Thank you, Tegan," he runs to the bathroom as Nyssa gets up and walks to the main bathroom.

"Neeka."

"What do you want Mum?"

"Adric has been wanting in for the last hour, you have never been like this."

"I am starting my first job on a new planet tomorrow."

"Can you let me in," Neeka unlocks the door and lets in Nyssa. "Neeks."

"Yes I am nervous."

"Is there a reason you are nervous?"

"What if Tiana finds out where we are?"

"That is why we told UNIT on the advice of Tegan and Ace."

"What will she do?"

"I don't know, but what I do know about UNIT is that they protect earth with all their might and from what I have learned about Kate, when she gets something too harry or dangerous, she calls the Doctor."

"What will the others say?"

"Nothing, they have dealt with aliens of all kinds; a few of them have been dealing with them since the late 1960s. Kate even grew up with stories about them. Ace since she was around 16."

"I know Ace doesn't care, considering how much she has offered to help all of us."

"Tegan was right about her being someone great."

"She was, did she say about ever dating Ace."

"She never dated Ace, she said she looks at Ace like a sometimes-annoying younger sister. Like we looked at the young boy who I named your brother after."

"I'm glad, that would be weird with how close those two are now."

"What do you mean?"

"Mum, you and Tegan share a bed, and haven't left the other's side that much since arriving."

"I told you about Tegan before we left."

"You did, you also told Adric and I stories growing up about your wild adventures with some of the best friends anyone can have."

"That is true, do you want another story as you go to bed?"

"MUM, I am not a little kid anymore."

Nyssa brings her daughter's forehead down to her and kisses it, "you will always be my little dancer. Now get to bed, we have a big day tomorrow." Before they know it, everyone is fast asleep not knowing she is going to get to know someone the next day that will help her through the breakup and stalking by her ex-girlfriend.
