The following morning after Adelita and Letti had taken a shower, Isabella took possession of the bathroom. She got undressed and headed under the shower. She closed her eyes and let the hot water flow over her body, and she washed.
"Is there room for one more?" she heard Bishop's suave voice say from behind her as he stood in his briefs.
She looked at him and bit her lower lip. "I think there is."
He reached out and locked the door, removed his briefs, and joined her.
"If I wasn't for having sex in the bedroom with all the guys outside, I'm even less interested in doing it in the bathroom shower with half of the guys inside the clubhouse."
"I just want a moment of intimacy with you," replied Bishop as he took her in his arms. "Good morning, mi amor."
"Good morning, guapo," she replied.
He leaned and gave her a long kiss as his hands caressed her back. When he pulled away, he looked at her amazing body, from head to toe, having an extremely hard time controlling his desire.
He nibbled at her earlobe, sending shivers down her spine.
"Bishop, behave," she said amused.
"I don't think I can wait until tonight," he said as his hand stroked the skin between her breasts.
"Then, you shouldn't have come in the shower with me."
"You're torturing me, amor."
"Good, it's only payback for you leaving me while you go off and do whatever business you were doing."
"Payback is a bitch," he said as she passed by him and grabbed a towel.
"I'll make it worth your while, tonight. I promise," she said as she dried off and got dressed.
When they were dressed, he unlocked the door, took her hand, and walked out of the bathroom through the club house and out on the porch.
Everyone was sitting around having coffee and breakfast. "That was quick Bish," said Gunner jokingly seeing they were back.
Bear threw a piece of bread at him. "Shut up, Gunner. Let the couple enjoy some time alone, God knows he's been away long enough."
"Hey, Isabella! I have way more stamina than Bishop," said Lorenzo.
"Mineo, I swear if you don't put a sock in it, I'll cut out your tongue," replied Bishop.
Everybody laughed, but Isabella knew Bishop enough to say it was the truth.
As they hung out around the club, early afternoon, Adelita plopped down next to Isabella who had gone off to read in the back of the van.
"Can I ask you a very personal question?"
"Sure. What's up?" asked Isabella putting the book away.
"Was Angel romantic when you two were together?"
"Sweetie, we were teenagers. What do teenagers know about romance? What we may have thought to be romantic were simple things that I'm sure he does for and with you every day."
"I guess you're right, but when I see how you and Bishop are together, I can't help but want the same thing."
"Which is normal. Angel always had a hard time showing his feelings, but it doesn't mean that he doesn't love you like crazy. Talk to him."
Adelita nodded then shifted to a more relaxed and fun attitude. "We get to go to the casino tonight and gamble."
"Yes, we do. It'll be fun."
When they walked inside the casino around 8pm, they were greeted by the manager who the Mayans knew well. "The other parties are already in the meeting room," he said.
Bishop kissed Isabella. "Meeting shouldn't be too long," he handed her a few dollar bills. "Have fun. I'll come find you when we're done."
"OK," she replied as she and Adelita walked away and headed to the cashier to exchange the cash for chips, before going to the blackjack tables.
The men followed the manager to the room where he had set up everyone.
"Good to see you Bishop," said Miguel as they shook hands.
"Miguel."
Bishop went to shake hands with the leader of the Chinese clan before taking a seat across from Marcus and Miguel who had joined him.
"I'm going to get right to it," said Miguel. "The situation on the border has become explosive and it's gotten risky to transport the drugs by road. Making all our lives hell. Marcus tells me that you have various tunnels in place, one of which crosses the border. Is that correct?"
"Yes, some of us have families and points of interest still in Mexico, it's easier and safer using the tunnels."
"I would like to use your tunnel," said Miguel.
Bishop looked at Marcus than at Taza. "I don't see why that would be a problem. The objective is to keep the goods moving and the business on track. If our tunnel can facilitate that, then we're more than willing to put it at your disposal."
Miguel smiled. "Perfect. The Hongs will work with you once they have been from the border to Santo Padre. Can I go as far as to ask for some of your men to help in the transport moving forward? The club will be compensated, of course."
"We can work with that," replied Bishop.
"You'll get an additional 10% of the cut on top of the 10% you already get. Are we good?"
Bishop put his hand out. "Deal."
Miguel shook it and they stood. "It's always a pleasure doing business with you Bishop. You know where priorities lie."
"Let's have a drink," said Marcus as he nodded at the prospect behind the bar.
Miguel nodded and took the glass Angel was handing out.
"To a continued and thriving partnership," he said raising his glass, the Mayans and the Chinese doing the same.
When Isabella had tripled what Bishop had given her, she and Adelita walked away from the blackjack table to cash in her chips. As they left the cashier, they headed in the direction of the lounge to settle down until the men were finished with their meeting, as they did, Isabella bumped into a blonde.
"Oh my God, I'm terribly sorry," she said as she took a step back before blinking. "Emily?"
"Isabella? Oh, my goodness. What are you doing here? Do you live in Arizona?"
"No, I moved back to Santo Padre more than a year ago. What about you?"
"I live on the outskirts of Santo Padre, I've been in town several times, I can't believe we didn't run into each other before."
"I know, it's crazy." Isabella then looked at Adelita. "Oh, how rude of me. Emily, this Adelita, Angel's fiancée."
"Hi, I'm Emily, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"So, what are you doing here?"
"My husband is here for business, I tagged along," her phone vibrated in her hand, and she looked at it. "Ah, he's done. Come on, I have to introduce you to him. He's always saying he wished he had known people I grew up with."
She and Adelita followed Emily back through the crowded casino.
"Are you here alone?" asked Emily.
"No, with my fiancé and friends."
"Ah, there he is," said Emily as she headed for a group of men.
Isabella looked at Adelita confused. The closer they got to the group of men that were talking near the front of the casino, the more she looked at Emily, as the group of men they were headed for also included Bishop and the Mayans.
EZ captured Bishop's attention upon seeing the three women walk their way. "Isabella is with Emily."
Bishop looked out toward the middle of the casino and saw them.
"What do you want to do?"
"Nothing," replied Bishop, "it's probable Emily told her who she's married to and why they are here. If not, Isabella is not stupid, she knows we were meeting with the cartel to talk business. In the end, it's probably a good thing that she knows who Galindo is."
As Nestor pulled Miguel aside for a few minutes, Emily sighed and as Isabella saw Bishop smiling at her, she went over to him, while Emily went to talk to Miguel.
"I forgot you knew Emily," said Bishop as he put his arm around her waist. "How did things go at the tables?"
"Good," whispered Isabella, "I tripled my initial stake."
"Remind me to bring you more often," he said as he kissed her on the cheek.
Emily pulled Miguel away from Nestor.
"Isabella, meet Miguel, my husband," she said as Miguel turned around.
His eyes connected instantly with Isabella's, and both stared at each other for a few seconds, unable to speak. "Miguel?" said Emily.
"Sorry," he said snapping out of his trance. "Miguel Galindo, it's a pleasure to meet you, Isabella…?"
"Hernandez," she replied trying to smile.
"My fiancée," replied Bishop proudly.
"Nice to meet you," replied Isabella.
Whereas EZ tried to keep his eyes away from Emily and Miguel, Angel looked on as Isabella and Miguel interacted.
"You two know each other?" Miguel asked Emily.
"Of course, we all grew up together. Isabella was the first of us to go off to college. She's one of the reasons I did," said Emily.
"So, what do you do exactly Isabella?" asked Miguel smiling, "I doubt you spend your time at the clubhouse, waiting on these men."
"I'm at the head of the ReAchieve association and community outreach program in Santo Padre."
"I might have heard of it. Helping teenagers and adults, who dropped out, to get their high school diploma."
"Among other things, yes. The objective is to make life for everyone in Santo Padre better than it currently is, being able to give people options and the help they need."
"It's honorable, maybe I'll stop by one day when I'm in town and see what you've put in place. At Galindo Enterprises we're always looking to invest in things and people that can help the community."
"That's very kind of you," replied Isabella.
"Anyway, it was a pleasure to meet you," said Miguel, "but we've got to head home. Are you hitting the road yourselves?" he asked Bishop.
"Tomorrow. Isabella and I are staying here tonight as are Angel and Adelita. The rest are returning to the clubhouse."
"Well, then enjoy your evening. I'll be in touch in a couple of days."
With that he and Emily walked away. As he reached the door, Nestor opened it and Miguel let Emily exit before him, he then turned around and looked at Isabella, making once again Angel pick up on it.
