"What?!" asked Chloe while coming out of her hiding spot and storming over to the three of them.
"Chloe," said Marinette, who was already fed up with the blonde.
"What is the meaning of this, Adrien, you're supposed to be my fiance but you're dating Dupain Cheng and a lizard girl?!" asked Chloe.
"You know that's not true," said Adrien.
"My father has turned down all of the marriage proposals from you father so you aren't my fiance," he said.
"Besides, I've heard that your family's standing has been dropping of late, whereas Marinette's has been going up and I'm also from a royal family myself so I believe my standing is higher too," said Kagami.
"You will regret this!" said Chloe as she stormed off.
"I have a bad feeling about this," said Marinette.
"Don't worry, if she tries anything against you or your family I'll be there for you," said Adrien while taking hold of one of Marinette's hands.
"Same here," said Kagami as she held the other hand.
"Thanks, you two," said Marinette with a relaxed smile. Meanwhile, Chloe had gone off to a secluded area to have her meltdown.
"How dare the two of them do this to me!" said Chloe, unaware of the Akuma landing on her hairpin.
