Miguel walked inside, Marcus and Nestor by his side. The minute he went down the steps, he was greeted by Emily.

"Who is this guy you have a meeting with? I've never seen him before."

"I want you to take Cristobal and head to the Hacienda."

She frowned. "Miguel what is going on?"

"I don't have time to explain. Emily, just please do as I tell you. I'll call you when I can."

Seeing she wouldn't budge, he looked at Nestor. "Get her out of here, now!"

He then continued walking until he noticed a man walking around in his study. The man was nothing like he imagined him to be. If this guy was involved in Izzie's and Samuel's abduction, he didn't fit the part.

The man turned around and smiled upon seeing Miguel in the doorframe.

"Senor Galindo, at last we meet."

Miguel entered further into the room with Marcus behind him.

"And who do I have the pleasure of meeting?"

"Lincoln Potter, Disctrict Attorney."

"It's a bit late for work, isn't it."

"In my line of work, there are no real office hours, I'm sure you know what that's like. Shall we sit and have a chat?"

"Let's," replied Miguel as they headed for the sofas.

"Quite the house you have here and what a beautiful family," he said pointing to a picture frame of him, Emily, and Cristobal.

"Mr. Potter, as much as I appreciate your compliments, I'm a very busy man, so unless your presence here is of some importance, I don't have time for small talk."

"I agree," replied Potter as he put his hands together. "I was only alluding to your family as it seems somewhat incomplete."

Even though Miguel wanted to tick at his comment, he kept a straight poker face as he leaned in and rested his forearms on his legs. "And why is that?"

"Well, I don't see Samuel on that picture. Now, I'm not sure where you stand with Isabella…no wait…Izzie is what you called her back in the day, isn't it? Anyway, she's not part of this family picture either."

Miguel shifted in his seat, slowly putting the puzzle together. "Where are they?"

"They are safe… for now."

"And probably not in a federal building," said Miguel, "otherwise, we wouldn't be having this conversation here. But then again, you'd have no grounds to have them in custody."

"Ah, I see what you and Isabella saw in each other. Both bright and knowing their way around the law."

"What do you want?"

"I think it's pretty obvious. I want insight into your cartel business."

"What cartel business? I'm the CEO of Galindo Enterprises."

Lincoln shook his head. "Miguel, Miguel… not the answer I'm looking for. You see, Isabella and Samuel's well-being and safety thereof, really relies on you being honest with me."

"How do I know what you are saying is true?"

Lincoln pulled his phone out as Nestor joined them. "I was sure a man like yourself would need proof." He went to the photos app on his phone and turned it toward Miguel. The picture was of Samuel, blindfolded and restrained into a small room. Lincoln swiped onto the following picture which showed, Isabella restrained and unconscious on the floor of what he imagined was the van that had taken her.

"What did you do to her?!"

"Only a light sedative. She didn't go down without a fight. Not that I'm surprised, she is feroz," he said. "I'm sure it's one of the many reasons you fell in love with her."

Even if he didn't want to Miguel was transported back to a day and age where he and Izzie were together. Potter wasn't wrong, Izzie's intelligence, relentlessness and fire had been what had made him fall in love with her, among other things.

"So, tell me," uttered Miguel coming back to this day and age, "how does this work exactly? As it appears to me, this mission of yours, seems rather off the books. I doubt that the American Government would agree to your tactics; kidnapping, sedatives and restraints, bribery…"

"As long as I provide results, I'm quite free to handle things the way I want."

"What even makes you think that I'm going to collaborate?" asked Miguel as he leaned back in his seat. He was bluffing and he knew it. Right about now, he was willing to sell even more of his soul to the devil, if it meant that Izzie and Samuel were returned safely.

"Because you are a family man and I think that even if you've kept your distance, you'd give anything to know your son."

"And if I don't give in to your demands?"

"Well, I'm not sure you want to find out. Not sure you would be able to live with that on your conscience."

"You do realize that you are alluding to the fact that you'd voluntarily take the lives of two innocent people just to get what you want. That is murder."

"An accident can happen so quickly, Miguel, I'm sure you know that."

Miguel wanted to rip this guy's heart out of his chest. "I need a guarantee that they will remain unharmed and returned to me."

"Of course." Potter took out an envelope from his jacket pocket and placed it on the table between him and Miguel. "These are the terms of our deal."

Miguel reached for the envelope. "I need some time to look through this."

"You have 24 hours," replied Potter as he stood. "I think you'll soon realize you have much more to gain in accepting them than the other way around."

Potter walked to the door and looked at Marcus and Nestor. "I'll let myself out. Thank you for your hospitality."

Miguel nodded at Nestor indicating he make sure that Potter left the property as he stood and opened the envelope.

Marcus moved toward Miguel as he read the paper in the envelope. "What does he want exactly?"

"He wants me to help in getting rid of the rebels and improve the situation at the border. Then he wants a percentage of the sales on the drugs and in return the government closes their eyes and stay out of hair."

"He's killing two birds with one stone."

"It's smart, I've got to give him that much. I don't mind the rebel situation to be taken care of and the government staying out of my business but giving him part of the revenue it generates, is not something I want."

"He might get greedy."

"Exactly. If I want to agree to these terms, I need to reduce the cut for the Mayans and the Hongs."

"They aren't going to like it. They take a lot of risks."

Miguel sat behind his desk and turned the paper over noticing Potter's cellphone number written on it.

"Is there any other way we can get Isabella and Samuel, back?"

Miguel rubbed the back of his stiff neck. "No. Unless Bishop has found something that can lead us to where they are keeping them, this is the only option."

"What are you going to do?"

"Call Bishop and have him meet me here, I need to talk to him in private."

"He doesn't know, does he?"

"I don't know what Izzie has told him, but I have the firm impression that she's kept this a secret from everyone."

Marcus nodded as he took his phone. "I'll give him a call." He walked out and Miguel did the same and called Potter.

"I wasn't expecting an answer so soon," Lincoln replied from the back of the town car.

"I want to talk to Izzie."

"I'll arrange for that to happen as soon as they've reached their destination and she's awake."

"Not good enough, I need to talk to her face to face."

"I don't think that is going to be possible."

"Look, if you want this to work and me to adhere to the terms, facilitate things for me, show me your good faith."

"I'll call you back," replied Potter as he hung up and turned to his colleague. "Reach out to Walker, have them bring Miss Hernandez back to where we've set up operations."

"What if Galindo tries something?"

"He wouldn't dare, and I'll make sure he doesn't."

"You're playing with fire, Potter."

"Maybe, but if I can tame the fire, I won't get burned."
