A small two-toned brown haired boy was walking slowly towards the park. He had big, brown eyes that were full of hope as he walked towards the park. On his right hip was a duel deck full of duel monster cards, especially his favorite card: Yubel. Usually, this little boy would be all hyperactive when going to the park, but lately, the kids were afraid of him… him and his Yubel. So, here he was, walking to the park slowly, his Duel Monsters nearby just to see who would play with him. As he neared the park, he looked around to see who would play with him, but as he looked at children who were playing Duel Monsters as well, they would quickly pick up their cards and go somewhere else. Sighing in sadness, the little boy walked towards the swings before sitting down. "Kon'nichiwa (Hello)," said a small, female voice.

"Huh," questioned the little boy before looking up to see a little girl with pretty golden blonde hair and crystal blue eyes in front of him.

"I said hello," said the little girl who puffed her cheeks out at him.

"Oh," said the little boy, "Kon'nichiwa."

"Why are you alone," questioned the little girl.

"No one wants to play with me because they all think that I'm weird," said the little boy, not telling the little girl that the children would sometimes get hurt if they play with him.

"Well, that's just wrong," said the little girl, "Come on, then. I'll play with you!"

"You will," questioned the little boy who was looking at the girl, "Demo, you don't have a duel deck."

"There are more games out there than duel monsters," puffed out the little girl, "So what if I also don't know how to play the game? I'll play something else with you."

The little boy looked at the little girl in surprise. Yes, even though there was no duel deck on the little girl, it did not mean that the little girl and the little boy couldn't play something else. The little boy was even surprised that his Yubel and his Burst Lady showed up in their duel spirit forms to encourage him to play with the little girl. Yet, all three were surprised when they heard the little girl gasped in surprise of her own. "Oh, wow," exclaimed the little girl, "Who are they? Where did they come from?"

"U-Uh," stuttered the little boy, "Y-You can see them?"

"Of course," said the little girl, "Gomen to be rude, but the one that looks like slightly demonic is a bit scary."

"T-That's Yubel," said the little boy who pulled out Yubel's duel monster card, "No offense to my other duel spirits, but she's my favorite. Dad gave her to me as a birthday gift."

"No wonder she's your favorite," said the little girl with a big smile on her face, "It was a gift from a loved one."

"Yeah," said the little boy.

The little girl looked at Yubel who was looking at the little girl in wonder. No one else could have sensed or even see a duel spirit before, yet this little girl could sense them. Yubel, however, noted that something otherworldly was surrounding the little girl like moonlight. She couldn't ponder about it as the little boy finally introduced himself to the little girl. "Boku wa Yūki Jūdai (I am Jūdai Yūki)," introduced the little boy, Jūdai.

"Watashi wa Tsukino Usagi (I am Usagi Tsukino)," introduced the little girl, Usagi.

"So," said Jūdai, "What do you want to do?"

"Let's play here on the swings," said Usagi with a smile, "Then… maybe… you can show me how a duel game looks like?"

"Sounds like a plan," said a now grinning Jūdai.

- A Few Years Later –

"You're moving," screeched out a twelve-year-old Jūdai.

Some years passed, and Jūdai and Usagi's friendship was going strong. Jūdai, on his part, had to talk with his fellow duel spirits about how he was feeling weird around Usagi. Burst Lady and Lady of Fire were conversing about how Jūdai finally is feeling romantic love for someone. It didn't help that his fellow guy duel spirits were patting him on his back about being time for him to experience something that wasn't family love. Jūdai just looked at his duel spirits in confusion before pushing his feelings away and just head towards Usagi's place to teach Usagi dueling and play other games. Yet now, a twelve-year-old Usagi was telling Jūdai that she was moving to another town. "Papa has a new job in Jūban," said Usagi.

"Ah man," groaned out Jūdai, "It's not going to be the same without you here."

"At least, I told you I am moving," said Usagi, "I had to learn from Hero Kid that you sent Yubel into space after you won that card drawing contest."

"I said I was sorry," said Jūdai.

"I know," said Usagi, "Demo, just think about how Yubel felt? Why didn't you just TALK with her about her misuse of her powers?"

"I guess I'm not that great with talking about my feelings," said Jūdai who rubbed the back of his head.

Usagi just sighed as she shook her head. She knew that she developed a romantic love feeling for Jūdai, yet she also knows that Jūdai would never think about anything other than dueling. Sure, Jūdai would think about an occasional game with Usagi, such as Munchkins, but he would just go back to dueling and teaching her. Usagi was still a beginner, yet because of this move, she was sure that her future was going to be something… different. She just had a feeling about it when her father said they were moving to Jūban. "Well, before I leave," said Usagi, "I have something to give to you."

"Me," questioned Jūdai.

"Un," nodded Usagi, "So, close your eyes and hold out your hand."

"Usagi," questioned Jūdai.

"Just do it," said Usagi with a pout.

"Fine, fine," said Jūdai as he closed his eyes.

With his eyes closed, he could hear Usagi walking away from where he was sitting on her sofa. He could hear Usagi also going upstairs, indicating that whatever she wanted to give to him was in her bedroom. Jūdai frowned impatiently as he wondered what surprise Usagi was going to give to him. Usagi, on her part, knew that the card she was going to give to Jūdai wasn't going to be of use for his deck, but what else was she going to give him to remember her by? Usagi carefully came back down the stairs to see Jūdai tapping his foot with impatience, making Usagi giggle a bit. "Usa," questioned Jūdai.

"Gomen," said Usagi with a small smile, "I was just gone for only a moment."

"Well, you know me," said Jūdai, "I'm always on the go!"

"I was only gone for five minutes," said Usagi.

"Anyways," said Jūdai with a small red hue on his cheeks, "What's the surprise?"

Usagi looked down at the duel monster card before looking at Jūdai. As she thought, this card may not be of use for Jūdai, but it was the thought that counts, right? Usagi breathed in deeply as she gently placed the card within Jūdai's open hands. Jūdai was surprise to feel a card in his hands that his eyes opened up to see what it was. It was indeed a duel monster card called Amaterasu. Jūdai's eyes turned wide-eyed when he saw the card before looking incredulously at Usagi. "I… I know it's not a card you would use in your Elemental Hero deck," said Usagi, "Demo I thought that you would keep this card to remember me by?"

"Y-You are really giving me this card," questioned Jūdai.

"Un," nodded Usagi, "You are so passionate about dueling, and I know that you'll be great when Duel Academy is up and running, demo…"

"This is great, Usa," said a happy Jūdai, "Don't worry about this card! I'll treasure it always with my other duel monsters!"

"I'm glad," said Usagi with a faint smile on her face.

- Jūdai: After Fusing With Yubel –

"What are you doing, Jūdai," questioned Yubel as she came out in spirit form.

"Reading," said Jūdai.

"A letter," questioned Yubel.

"Un," nodded Jūdai, "From Usagi-chan."

Yubel smiled a little at that. She remembered the pure, little girl that Jūdai hung out with during his childhood. After all this time, she was surprised to hear that Jūdai still kept in contact with Usagi. Jūdai, on his part, was looking forward to what Usagi had to say. Learning that he was, essentially, a reincarnation of a prince with Yubel being his loyal servant long ago was kind of a surprise. He couldn't wait to tell Usagi all about HIS story on reincarnation. Ever since Usagi revealed to him being a reincarnated princess, he thought he wouldn't really have a chance with Usagi at all, his childhood best friend being an actual princess and all. However, all that would kind of change once he writes to Usagi. For now, he was content reading his letter from Usagi.

Dear Jūdai,

I hope you are having a wonderful time at Duel Academy for your last year. I am also happy that you are reconnected with Yubel. I am sure that you two are having a ton of fun dueling with one another again. As for me, well, I survived another enemy…

Jūdai frowned as he read how lonely and heartbroken Usagi became during the year he was reunited with Yubel. He knew that he had another enemy within Duel Academy during his last year here, but Usagi had more hardships in her life. He was lucky that he didn't even die during all his duel battles against evil… unlike Usagi. Usagi's luck was her dying over and over again for people who didn't really appreciate her character. He frowned more when he read about the part where she was pitted against her protectors due to the enemy Chaos' influence. "What's wrong," questioned Yubel.

"Usa's been fighting evil again," said Jūdai.

"Again," questioned Yubel.

"Ah," said Jūdai, "When you were away, Usagi moved to Jūban, and two years later, she became the heroine known as Sailor Moon. Her parents and little brother do not know that secret due to her so-called guardian cat's influence, but because I'm away from all of that, she's been confiding in me about everything."

"This guardian cat," said Yubel, "Does she or he not know that keeping a secret can easily tear a person apart from the inside?"

"I don't know," said Jūdai, "Demo, it always sounds like she's always being reprimanded for being quote unquote irresponsible, even though they all found out months later that Usa's the reincarnated princess from the Moon."

"S-She's a reincarnated princess," questioned a surprised Yubel.

Jūdai just nodded his head as he continued to tell all of the battles Usagi entrusted him through letters. Even his friends in Duel Academy never read these letters, for Jūdai would go to a secluded place to read said letters before hiding them in a secret compartment underneath a box he keeps his spare duel monster cards in. The closest friend to almost find that compartment and read the letters was the transfer student Johan Anderson. Jūdai could tell that Johan was like his twin and would totally get along with Usagi if the two met. "I wonder," said Yubel, "If you two would have gotten together during my stay in space."

"Y-Yubel," said a flushed Jūdai.

"Nani," teased Yubel, "I recognized the facial expression you had when you were always with Usagi. I thought you would already know your feelings for that girl, but I also thought that you had a thing for that Asuka girl or that Johan guy. You definitely regard those two well."

"Y-Yubel," growled out Jūdai as he flushed more.

Yubel chuckled as she disappeared from view. She knew that it was only a matter of time that Jūdai would realize his feelings. Yet, she does feel bad for Asuka and Johan. Those two, as well as many other admirers, were going to be crushed once they meet Jūdai's actual love.

- A Surprised Graduation Field Trip –

"Why did the Slifer Slacker get to choose our graduation trip," questioned a male dressed in all black.

"He DID win the dueling tournament," said another male dressed in yellow and having his black hair neatly arranged.

The graduation class of Duel Academy was on busses heading towards a town of Jūdai's choosing. In one bus, Jūdai was sleeping while all of his friends were in the back doing their own thing. Kenzan Tyranno and Shō Marufuji were arguing who was Jūdai's best friend while Asuka Tenjōin was trying to get her older brother, Fubuki, to settle down, Yūsuke Fujiwara trying to help. Even the transfer students, Johan Anderson, Jim "Crocodile" Cook, and Austin O'Brien, were in the bus discussing what they would probably do once they got off the bus. All the way in the back were Edo Phoenix and Shō's brother, Ryō, sitting side- by-side, both silent while listening to their conversations, as Junko Makita and Momoe Hamaguchi gushing over the two being cool. However, when Jun Manjōme and Daichi Misawa talked how Jūdai chose the trip, all ears were on them. "Did Jūdai even tell us where we are going," questioned Shō.

"Īe," said O'Brien, "Demo, I heard a rumor that this trip won't have any dueling whatsoever."

"Nani," questioned everyone.

"That should be a lie," said Kenzan, "Aniki (Boss/Older brother) wouldn't go to a place with NO dueling!"

"Sō, sō (Yeah, yeah)," agreed Shō.

"Maybe Jūdai wants all of us to actually relax without any trouble coming our way," questioned Johan.

"Demo, ichiban (number 1)," said Daichi, "Is all about dueling! Even his catchphrase calls out to a great duel between his opponents!"

"We should just wait to see where Jūdai is taking us," said Asuka.

"Or," said a smirking Fubuki, "We can wake Jūdai up and ask him."

Before they could actually discuss more about what to do, the bus they were on halted completely in front of a hotel, the sound of the brakes waking Jūdai up. Jūdai yawned as he rubbed his eyes before looking out the window to see a peaceful view. Everyone else looked out the window to see that they arrived somewhere unfamiliar. It didn't even look like Jūdai chose to go to Domino City like he did before the Society of Light became a bigger issue. Jūdai stretched before grabbing his one traveling bag and getting off of the bus, his friends trailing behind him somewhat. "Now, students," said their professor, Cronos de Medici, "Please make sure you tell us chaperones where you are going in this town. We do not need you running around all willy-nilly like last time."

"Last time wasn't our fault, saurus," grumbled Kenzan with a glare.

"Sure, teach," said Fubuki, "Anyways, what town is this?"

"Dropout boy didn't tell you," questioned Cronos.

"Īe," said Jim, "He didn't say anything to us about where we were going for this trip."

"Well," said Cronos, "You all are in Jūban, a non-dueling town."

"Eh," exclaimed the graduation class and then some.

"So, teach," said Jūdai who was still looking around, "I'm going to go walk around. Don't wait up for me!"

With that, Jūdai took off in a random direction, exciting a loud exclamation from his friends. Jūdai knew that he chose a place with no dueling, but with what he was taught by Usagi when they were younger, you can find anything to have fun. Jūdai's friends, however, were surprised by Jūdai's nonchalant response that they let him leave a few moments before his friends jumped into action. They were going to follow Jūdai and hope that something exciting would show up for them in this town of no dueling.

- Moments Later –

"I think the Slifer slacker is lost," groaned out Jun.

"Well, the house he was at was welcoming enough," pointed out Edo, "I wonder if he knows people here."

"He would have told us, wouldn't he," questioned Johan.

Jūdai's friends pondered more as they followed Jūdai down a street. They passed Jūban's local high school and the park. Now, they were looking around while following Jūdai towards downtown? It looked like a downtown with their many shops. One shop stood out in particular as they saw Jūdai walk through the automatic sliding doors. With a nod, all fourteen of them ran across the street and walked into the establishment. They looked around to try to find Jūdai, but they couldn't find him anywhere. They, however, were greeted by an employee named Motoki Furahata. "You all are new here, ne," questioned Motoki.

"Un," nodded Momoe with hearts in her eyes, "We come from Duel Academy!"

"The school that teaches how to play that interesting monster card game," questioned Motoki.

"You know of it," asked a surprised Ryō.

"Hai," said Motoki, "I don't play it, but a friend of mine knows the basics."

"I thought this place doesn't have any dueling," questioned Asuka.

"We don't," said Motoki, "Demo, it doesn't mean that we have other games to entertain ourselves. Also, dueling has been on the news. The game just never picked up in this town is all."

"I see," said Asuka.

As the rest ponders and asks Motoki what games he has here, Jūdai, on his part, silently crept up to a young female that had her hair up in a very long braid. Jūdai could tell who this female actually was, even if she wasn't wearing the other hairstyle he was familiar with. No one could change the familiar colored hair of his best friend/crush. With a jump, Jūdai quickly used his hands and covered familiar crystal blue eyes while lowering his voice. "Guess who," questioned Jūdai.

"Mamoru-san," questioned the female.

"Bzz," buzzed Jūdai before using his actual voice, "Wrong! It's me! Jūdai!"

"Jūdai," questioned a surprised female.

When Jūdai finally uncovered his best friend's eyes, his brown eyes clashed with familiar blue. Jūdai could see how grown up Usagi was as he took in what Usagi was wearing. Gone were the pink overalls from childhood as his eyes trailed Usagi's figure. Usagi was wearing a white off-the-shoulder dress that hugged her figure nicely. She had a light blue jacket tucked to the side of her seat. Jūdai smiled as he continued to check his best friend/crush out. Usagi, on her part, was surprised to see Jūdai here in Jūban. She could tell that Jūdai lost a bit of his childishness and grew into a wonderful person. Wearing a familiar Slifer jacket from Duel Academy, she could tell that it hid muscles that Jūdai probably had gotten from saving Duel Academy. "Sashi-buri (Long time no see), Usa-chan," said Jūdai with a smile.

"Sashi-buri, Jū-kun," said Usagi, "Are you here long?"

"Un," nodded Jūdai, "Just having a graduation trip before graduation."

"I'm surprised your school chose a non-dueling town," said Usagi.

"Actually," said Jūdai sheepishly, "I chose this place."

Usagi was surprised by Jūdai's confession. She was sure that if he won a trip to somewhere, it would be a place with a lot of dueling history to hone his skills more. Jūdai rubbed the back of his head when he saw the shock look Usagi had. He knew that he chose this place because he wanted to actually do something for a long time. Even if he was going to be rejected, he could finally confess his feelings for the one person who stole his heart before he knew it all those years ago. Jūdai pushed Usagi slightly inwards before sitting right next to her, and good timing too since his friends came into the establishment. "Do you know why I chose this place," questioned Jūdai.

"You miss me," questioned Usagi teasingly.

"Hai," said Jūdai, "I missed you so much, Usa-chan. Also, I want to get something back from you."

"Back," questioned Usagi before narrowing her eyes, "I know for a fact I didn't steal anything from you, Jū-kun. So, what exactly do you mean I stole something from you?"

"My heart," said Jūdai confidently.

"Eh," questioned Usagi whose eyes widened slightly.

"I never knew that weird feeling since we were twelve," said Jūdai, "I wasn't really mature enough realize what I was feeling, especially when my duel spirits were trying to tell me what it was. Yet, I matured… slightly, and now know what that weird feeling is, Usa-chan."

"Weird feeling," questioned Usagi.

"Hai," said Jūdai before gently cupping Usagi's face with his hands, "Aishiteru (I love you), Usa-chan. Gomen that it took me a while, but now I am back to get my heart back."

"Jūdai," said Usagi quietly before smiling gently, "Baka, I can't give you your heart back to you."

"Eh," questioned Jūdai confusedly, "Dōshite (Why)?"

"I can't give back your heart because you stole mine, too," said Usagi, "Watashi mo aishiteru (I too love you), Jū-kun. We'll just have to take care of each other's hearts from now on."

"I… think I like that," said Jūdai with a smile.

Just before Jūdai could kiss Usagi though to seal the deal, Jūdai was interrupted by a shout of his name being called by none other than his friends from Duel Academy. Usagi had a twinkle in her eye as Jūdai groaned out softly for only the two could hear. Both Jūdai and Usagi turned around to see Jūdai's friends looking from Jūdai to Usagi, just wondering who Usagi was. Motioning for the entire group to sit down, Jūdai just waiting for the bombarding questions to stop. O'Brien was kind enough to get everyone to settle down before all eyes were on Jūdai and Usagi. "Jūdai," said a calm Edo, "Who is this?"

"This is Tsukino Usagi," said Jūdai proudly, "My kanojo (girlfriend)."

"Kanojo," cried out everyone.

"Is this why you chose this place, Slacker," shouted Jun.

"Un," nodded Jūdai happily, "I haven't see Usa since we were twelve!"

"You were in a relationship for that long," questioned a surprised Fubuki.

"Īe," said Usagi, "We just got together just now. Jū-kun had some growing up to do."

"Especially when I didn't know what I was feeling at the time," said Jūdai who rubbed the back of his head.

"Well, welcome to this crazy group, Usagi-san," said Daichi, "I'm sure there won't be a dull moment once you get used to Jūdai and his adventures."

"I'm counting on it," said Usagi happily.

With that, the entire afternoon was introducing Usagi to Jūdai's friends. Yūsuke knew that there were some broken hearts within their group of friends, but he could see that the love between Jūdai and Usagi was festering far longer than Jūdai meeting all of them. He, along with everyone else, did jump up to help Jūdai re-teach Usagi on how to duel, especially when Usagi showed them her somewhat complete Light/Fairy deck. Though, one thing everyone, besides the couple, was surprised about was…

"You have an Amaterasu card and never used it?! Jūdai!"
