Ben 10 Ultimate Hero EP 7: Lucky Girl
I don't own anything, except my OCs. Lucky Girl's design is based on a combination of CyberEman2099 and Insane-Mane's designs.
Intro:
A green glowing, steel pod was flying through space, hurtling towards earth as it crashed, making a huge green flash.
The camera zooms out from the glowing symbol on the Ultimatrix as Ben looks up close at it.
He then activates it while smirking at the camera, raising his hand high and slapping it down on the core.
The background turns all green as Ben morphs into Four Arms, who pumps his upper fists while cracking his lower ones with a smirk.
A white number appears on the left side, starting at 1.
"Ben 10!"
2: Heatblast ignites 2 fireballs in his hands.
"Ben 10!"
3: XLR8 zooms into the right.
4: Diamondhead swaps his right arm across as it turns into a blade.
"Ben 10!"
5: Cannonbolt uncurls and poses.
"Ben 10!"
"Ben 10!"
6: Upgrade stretches out of his puddle form.
7: Grey Matter hops off the 7 and lands into a crouch, giving a thumbs up and a smile.
"Ben 10!"
8: Water Hazard slides in on his water blasts and raises his fists.
"Ben 10!"
9: Wildvine extends his legs and stretches out his right fingers while holding seeds in his left one, chucking them offscreen.
10: Big Chill phases through the number and floats briefly before zooming near the camera.
"Ben 10!"
Big Chill's head turns back into Ben's as it rotates.
The camera zooms out to reveal Max and Gwen by his side.
Ben gave a low-five to his grandfather as Gwen crossed her arms and shook her head playfully with a smile.
The 2 then ran off-screen, making Ben run towards the camera with a determined look.
He then froze as his aliens appeared in heroic poses on each of the kids' sides, 5 on each side. Just as the title appears on a black background with green rays appearing from the title.
In New Orleans, Louisiana, The Tennysons were touring a museum as part of their next stop. Ben looks at an old Voodoo mask and he pretends to wear it as he joins up with the group. "And behind this impenetrable glass is the recently discovered and only existing copy of the Archamada Book of Spells!" Gwen, very interested in it, starts speaking along with the tour woman. "It contains ancient witchcraft and rituals from the late 1600's." "Maybe you should work here, dear." The woman frowns at Gwen as Ben nudges his cousin with a smirk. "Don't let old mummy face get to you. She's probably older than that spell book." He then made a freaky mummy pose as Gwen laughed at it.
But just then, the people started floating up the ceiling as they panicked and screamed as they were stuck up. "I don't think this is part of the tour!" Max spoke out as a cloud of red smoke entered from the window and dispelled in front of the book. The being is a human man that has orange scleras with glowing red eyes, his face is painted white and black to resemble a skull, a small white nose, sharp yellow teeth, black symbols on his shoulders, black fingernails/toenails, light gray skin, and an extremely thin, but somewhat muscular built. His outfit consists of a red/black dress/hood, brown talismans under his neck, black armguards, a red cloth that resembles a belt, black pants that are torn beyond his knees, and long black socks that don't cover his heels or toes. Also, he carries around a staff that has a bird-like head on top with a golden ring that runs through its eyes.
"The Archmada Book of Spells! All its power will be mine!" He then spoke a strange word as one of the 6 charms on his neck glows, making the glass explode. Realizing it's hero time, Ben starts dialing the watch. "Now might be a good time to go-" Just then, the man, having grabbed the book, turns and makes the people drop down as they all scream and close their eyes. "Hero!" Ben cries out as he tries to get the watch to work. FLASH
Luckily, Ben managed to turn into XLR8. But no one noticed he transformed as he shut his visor and zooms down, grabbing and tying ropes of a large tarp to make a makeshift safety slide as all the people slid to the bottom, unharmed. "Everyone out!" XLR8 orders as he raises his visor as the people take the alien's advice and run out. "Ben! Be careful! We don't know what tricks he's got up his sleeve." Max warns as he and Gwen run towards safety as XLR8 confronts this new foe. "Hey, you old geezer! Try the Library if you want a book!" "I am Hex, the most powerful sorcerer in the world! I will not be stopped by some lizard creature!"
Just as XLR8 closes his visor, Hex chants another spell as another charm glows, firing a stream of fire from the staff's head as it hits the tarp, sending a wave of fire toward XLR8. But the alien speedster ran away and up a wall, avoiding the flames as he zig-zags and dodged a bunch of red crystals shot at him by Hex. XLR8 then charges at the magic man, only for him to emit a flash of bright light as XLR8 is briefly blinded, sliding between his legs and crashing into some exhibits.
As Hex is admiring his work, he gets hit from behind by 2 trashcans as he whirls back at Max and Gwen. "Okay... Bad idea!" Gwen mumbles as Hex leers at the 2 as his eyes glow, casting a silent spell that sends the 2 flying back, but leaves him open for XLR8 as he spins around and wails at him, landing hit after hit on Hex. Just as one punch knocks a charm from his being, XLR8 makes a tornado that carries Hex up and slams him down on the ground. XLR8 stops as he sees Hex groan as he lies there, defeated. The alien has a smirk as he raises his visor and scoops up the discarded charm. "Nice job!" "Just doing what I have to do and keeping it low-key, Grandpa!" XLR8 smirks at Max.
But Ben proves wrong as he stands outside the museum, still, XLR8 as he basks in the crown's cheers and flashing cameras, waving at them with both arms as he soaks up the attention like a sponge while the police and medical officials take Hex away on an ambulance. "Who's your hero?!" He calls out as Gwen frowns at her cousin. "Low-key, my foot!" She mumbles out.
The Rust Bucket rolls down the street, heading towards a restaurant for dinner as Ben and Gwen sit at the table. As the boy kicks his feet up, watching cartoons on his iPad, Gwen states as the boy looks up. "All I'm saying is that you didn't stop that Hex creep, all by yourself, you know? I saved your sorry butt! But doesn't anyone notice me?!" She frowns as Ben points out. "All you did is just throw a trashcan at the guy! Anyone can do that. Besides, being a hero is not about the recognition."
Gwen frowns as she acts like Ben earlier. "'Who's your hero?!' Really?! After what you did back there?" "Hey! I can't help it if people want to thank me for saving their lives." Max spoke back with a smile. "Well, I noticed you, Gwen. And I think you did a good job back there." "We're related, grandpa. That doesn't count!" Gwen frowns as she looks out the window. Ben then points out. "Look, I'm the hero here because I'm the one who has superpowers."
"Hello?! The only reason you're a hero and have powers in the 1st place is that glove! If I found it, instead of you, I would be getting the attention and the respect!" As Ben glances at the watch in the thought of what his cousin said, he sighs as she makes a point. So, fishing into his pocket, he pulls out the charm. "Okay... Here. I got this after beating that Hex creep. You can have it." "Really?" Gwen smiles as she takes the charm. "Thanks." She smiles as she looks at her new trinket. Max smiles as he mumbles. "Glad that is settled."
Back with Hex, as the wizard is still in the ambulance, one of the charms on his neck glows as his eyes flash open. "I will achieve my destiny!" Using his magic, he blew open the back doors as the car came to a stop the officers noticed and were surprised to see Hex, floating away into the foggy swamp while sitting in a crossed-leg position.
At the restaurant, the Tennyson family was chowing down on cooked crawfish as they enjoyed the local cuisine. One crawfish was left as Ben and Gwen eyeballed it as the girl stated. 'I've been counting. You've had 11 crawfish to my 10." But unbeknownst to the kids and grandfather, the charm around her neck glows as Ben smirks out. "Then, time to make it an even dozen!" But Gwen swats his fork away. "Don't think so."
But the fork stabs a waitress in the foot, making her cry out as she throws a glass into a fan it spins and heads towards the kitchen, hitting a chief as he bumps a cart of live crawfish and sends it out the doors. The cart hits the table and sends the crawfish crashing on Ben's head. Gwen then ate the last cooked crawfish as she smiled out. "There! All even." But as the boy got the bowl off and brushed the crawfish off his being, one worm its way into his nose. "GAAAHHH!" He cries out as he tries to get it out as Gwen and Max laugh. The girl then notices the charm stop glowing as she breathes out. "Wha?"
Back at the museum, Hex levitates a guard as he knocks books off a desk, searching for the spell book as he glares at the man. "The Archmada Book of Spells! Where is it?!" "In the vault!" The scared guard points at said vault as Hex floats over and destroys the massive steel door with one of his charms and a spell. He then levitates the book towards him and opens it, grinning as he speaks out. "At last! My power will be unlimited!"
He tries to absorb the book's power in his being, but it stops as he notices. "What? Why did it-" He glances down and sees something missing from his being! "The Charm of Luck is missing! But how did it..." His eyes widened as he recalled a certain speedy alien hero he had just fought. "Of course! The battle with that speed creature! One of the hits I took must have knocked my missing charm off. Then I'll just find it, then." He snarls as he takes the book and flies out of the museum, hoping to find and make the alien hero pay.
Back with the Tennyson, the trio were walking down a street as Max chuckled. "You know, in all my travels, I have never seen a live crawfish, crawl into anyone's noise!" "Ha ha ha. Glad I can make your day, Grandpa." Ben grumbles out at the reminder as Gwen smiles at him. "Thanks again for the charm. Let me get you something in return." She went up to a hot dog cart and ordered. "One, please." "HELP! THEY STOLE MY PURSE!" The family looks to see a trio of teenage street gang members, running away with a woman's snatched purse.
Just then, Max stops them with a frown. "That's far enough." "Yeah? Who's going to make us, pops?" "Him and his close personal friend, Diamondhead.' Ben mumbles as he goes behind the cart as one thug pulls out a metal pole. "Hey, that's a nice necklace you got there, little girl." Gwen gasps as she looks down at the charm as Max shields her. Ben, on the other hand, is trying to get the watch to activate, but won't work for some reason. "Come on, come on! This is not my lucky day."
Gwen's charm glows again as Ben quickly shoves her behind and cries out. "Let me take care of this!" But Gwen hits a performer, sending the bowling pins he was juggling flying and the unicycle into one thug as the pins hit the leader, making him back away into Max as he got him in a bearhug hold. Just then, Gwen steps on a bottle of mustard as it sprays into the hot dog cart guy's face, making him bump the cart and send it crashing into the last thug and hit a wall, making a flowerpot above and wobble and fall on the 2nd guy as he got up, hitting him on the head and knocking him out.
Gwen is surprised at the turn of events as she glances down at the glowing charm. "Cool." "This little girl is a hero, officer." Looking at the old lady as the cops took the thugs away, Gwen responds. "Who, me? Just lucky, I guess." She then spotted a stand with masks for sale and she got an idea.
The next morning, as the Rust Bucket was parked, Ben kept tossing and turning over Max's snoring as he whispered to his cousin with a pillow over his head. "Hey, Gwen? Do you have something that can deal with Grandpa's snoring? Gwen?" He notices Gwen's bed is empty as he checks outside and spots his cousin, throwing a basketball from behind her head it bounces off another RV and then a powerline and into the basket. "Nothing but net!" Gwen smirks out. Ben grabs the ball as he approaches Gwen.
"Okay, we are not playing horse." "Gimme the ball!" But Ben moved the ball away from the girl as he asked. "Not until you tell me how you did that!" 'I'm charmed. Whenever this thing glows, things go my way, Cool, huh?" The girl shows off the charm as Max exits with a smile. 'Nothing like a good night's sleep! Who wants breakfast?"
But just then, a noise is heard as the family glances at a nearby construction site to see smoke coming from the top as one of the lifts broke, sending 2 workers dangling on the edge as Ben got to dialing the watch. "Time to watch a real hero at work!" "Yeah, me!" Gwen smiles at the charm and runs back into the Rust Bucket. "I'll be back!" She shuts the door as Max shrugs at Ben, having no idea what she is up to as Ben makes his choice and slaps down on the glove. FLASH
The glove produces ice that spreads all over the boy as he shivers and is engulfed in an ice cocoon. Just then, a limb burst out of it and then another one. A pair of large wings came out of the back as the rest of the ice broke off to reveal the transformed Ben. "Chilly, coming through!" FLASH
Ben is now a humanoid, moth-like alien, that has a slim, yet muscular build, whose four bat-like wings and two antennae-like wing folds can fold up into a poncho-esque robe with a hood, giving him the appearance of a phantom. He has a black body with blue patching on his slender chest that covers most of it with long black hair that drapes over it and runs along his legs and arms, the latter reaching up to the back of his neck. He has cyan patches that resemble ice chunks on his legs and arms. Thick black lines border the back end of each wing, which also contains three cyan patches of their own.
His face is blue but has harsh black lines surrounding his eyes and mouth, which all meet at the center of his face. He also has a black marking on his head that extends over his scalp, forcing the remaining blue parts of his forehead into a Y-shape. His eyes are bright green, with small darker spots inside and he has additional blue brows surrounding the eyes. His mouth is a frown showing 6 bluish-white teeth, which rarely move, even when speaking and his chin juts out more with a blue stripe on it. He has three claws and a thumb on each hand, and three toes on each foot: two in front and one behind.
He is wearing a black, green, and white uniform that covers his chest, waist, stomach, and upper thighs and has black and green fingerless gloves with white wristbands, and ankle bands. He lastly has the watch symbol on his chest. This is Ben's flyer/ freezer alien that can phase through anything: Big Chill.
"It's so hero time!" Big Chill spoke as he unfolded his wings and took off. As Max watched, a voice caught his attention. "Over here! Somebody!" He spots a man, trapped in a truck that is partly crushed by a stray support beam. Just then, he heard footsteps behind him and spotted his granddaughter. "Gwen?" He asks as she now sports a new get-up.
Gwen is now wearing a grey jumpsuit with purple and black striped sleeves that stop at her biceps. She has blackish-purple boots with purple leg ends and bottoms, matching fingerless gloves that go to her forearms, and a purple sash around her waist. She also sports purple knee and elbow pads on black bands on her knees and elbows. She still has her earrings as his headband is gone while sporting a black choker and her hair is free from her spike tail. She now sports a cat-themed masquerade mask that is purple and blackish-purple with black whiskers and eyeliner, even having the little cat nose as well and she still wears the charm around her neck. "It's Lucky Girl, Grandpa."
She runs towards the man and calls out. "Stay calm!" She spots a plank with boards. She smirks and activates her charm, running and stomping on the plank as it sends the boards into a wrecking ball's controls and sends the 4-ton ball crashing onto the bed of the truck, freeing the man as the iron beam smashed into a button that sends a lift going up. As Big Chill flew up and grabbed a few workers in his arms, he looked down and exclaimed at the lift. "Whoa!" He quickly turns intangible as the lift passes through him and the workers as it stops, but also sends some tools on it flying up.
The tools started falling as Big Chill quickly froze them and shattered them to bits, but a Jackhammer crashed into some wood, sending them crashing down toward Lucky Girl! "Gwen! I mean, Lucky Girl, move!" Max calls out as the tween girl quickly dives into a cement truck and accidentally hits the stick shift, backing the truck into a large tube on the side of the building. "Slide down the chute!" Max calls out to the 2 workers who are hanging above the chute as they let go, sliding onto a crash mattress as Big Chill lands and releases the other 3 workers.
As Big Chill folds his wings around himself, he glances back to see his cousin being interviewed. "How did you pull off this amazing rescue?" "With style of course. Who's your hero!?" Lucky Girl waves at the camera as Big Chill narrows his eyes and frowns. "Show-off."
Meanwhile in the city, as Hex floats by some TVs, he spots Lucky Girl on them as he observes her, only to spot his missing charm around her neck as he narrows his eyes. "Lucky Girl, huh?"
As the Rust Bucket drives on the street, Gwen is on her laptop as Ben leans on the counter with a frown at the counter. "So, when are you going to tell me about 'Lucky Girl' huh?" "Give me a break, cuz! I just came up with her, right now! Anyway, I cross-referenced the Archmada Book of Spells with dark magical charms and got a result. There is a set called the 'Charms of Bezel'. The charm I have is Luck. There are also charms for Fire, Telekinesis, Electricity, and Restriction."
Ben saw the charms on the screen and commented. "Hey, those are the charms Mr. Freak wore at the museum when XLR8 kicked his butt!" "That's why he wants the book badly. But it said all the charms need to be active for the spells to be at full power. Oh, well! His loss is my gain!" Gwen smirks out. Only for Max to point out with a frown. "I'm afraid was, Gwendolyn. We need to turn that charm into the museum." "No fair!" Gwen cries out in dismay.
"Can't argue with Grandpa." Ben shrugs as Gwen speaks out. "The world needs the power of Lucky Girl!" "Power? Please! Luck isn't a superpower, Gwen! It's just a coincidence! My powers are way better than your dumb charm!" Gwen frowns as she stands up and butts head with Ben. "Yeah, well my powers saved the day at the construction site!" "All that stuff you did, is because of that charm, not you!" "All the stuff you've been doing ever since this trip started is not you, it's that watch!"
But luckily, a radio transmission stops the 2 kids from arguing as Max turns up the volume. "And in the news of the weird, reports are coming in that the city's famed 'haunted history mansion' has come alive. Trapping dozens of visitors inside." "Grandpa!" "On it!" Max responds to the kids as he makes a detour.
The Rust Bucket pulls up the mansion as Ben gets out and starts dialing the watch, but gets pushed aside by Gwen, suited up as Lucky Girl. "Back off! I can handle this!" "I'm the real hero, here!" The Tennysons ran into the mansion and spotted the people running out while screaming some of them were trapped in a part of the 2nd floor as it was becoming unstable. But as Lucky Girl was focused on the people, she was not aware of Hex, appearing in the shadows of a window with shredded curtains as he leans on his staff. "I knew you couldn't resist... Lucky Girl." He smirks as he narrows his glowing eyes at the tween female in a mask, chuckling.
"Everyone, stay calm! Lucky Girl's in the haunted house!" Lucky Girl cries out as she takes off to the stairs, but Hex uses a charm to break some off and fly towards Ben and Max. They dodged, making the boy hide behind a pillar as he activated the glove. "Who needs luck, when you have skill!" FLASH
But just as Lucky Girl reaches the people, Hex breaks off and levitates the entire floor as the people are holding on for life! But Four Arms came in and grabbed a pillar, holding it in place with his super strength. "I've got this!" Lucky Girl backflips off with her charm's power and lands on top of a pillar as Max grabs one of the people who fell off. "But who's got them?" Lucky Girl asks as she notices the pillar is breaking. She quickly leaps onto a chandler and swings over, holding it in place with her feet as she calls out. "Grab on, quick!"
The 3 people did as the chandler swung back, only to head downwards as the citizens screamed, only to stop a few feet off the ground, thanks to Lucky Girl's charm. The citizens realize they are safe as they let go and quickly run out the door, only for Lucky Girl to be surprised at the doors slamming shut as Four Arms was then thrown into a wall with a crash.
But before the tween could ponder what happened, her hands glowed red as she was suddenly yanked up into the air gasped as she noticed Hex near her, being tossed away as the magician snarled out. "You have something that belongs to me, child! Give me my charm!" But Lucky Girl grabs hold of a large tarp and yanks it down, covering Hex as she pushes a suit of armor onto him with a smirk. 'You should have said please."
Lucky Girl then dashes down a hallway as Hex breaks free, growling as he floats after the masked female. As the masked heroine kept running, she gasped as she stopped at a large room with a couple of doorways. "Which way?" The girl questions only for her charm to glow as it reveals a hidden button in a bust, making her push it to reveal a secret passage. She decides to just run down it as Hex enters the room, noticing the passage as he smirks as Four Arms and Max go after the 2 as well.
Deep in some dark catacombs, Lucky Girl just kept running down the tunnels, passing skeletons and snakes and rats as she stopped to catch her breath, but Hex was nearby on the other side of a wall, having sensed her charm with as he grins out. "Gotcha." He then prepares to blast the wall with a spell, only for Lucky Girl, to place her hand on a brick and thanks to her charm's power, push it out it causes a chain reaction that sends the entire wall onto Hex as Lucky Girl backs away in surprise, only to see Hex has shielded himself with a force field as he snarls and glares at the girl. Lucky Girl took off again as Hex gave chase, blasting a bolt of lightning as she ducked underneath it blew apart a wall.
Lucky Girl took the chance and ran out of the hole and into a cemetery, dashing down a path with trees on both sides. She quickly ducks behind one and breathes, hoping to hide from Hex. But as she relaxes a bit, some vines suddenly ensnare her and hang her upside down as she yipes, just for one to grab her charm and yank it off. "No!" The last thing she saw before the vines covered her was the charm landing in Hex's hand.
Lucky Girl wasn't sure how long she was trapped, but Four Arms managed to rip the vines off and free her. "Thanks." The girl smiles as the alien asks. "Where is he?" Max looks around and spots Hex, hovering above the graveyard as he now has all 5 charms. "There!" Max points at Hex.
Hex grins as his entire being is engulfed in red magic his eyes glow brighter and the book opens in front of his being. "Time to turn this city into an old memory!" He then starts chanting an incarnation as the clouds swirl above him lightning crashes in the skies and the wind picks up. But help arrived in the form of Four Arms, who gave a battle cry as he slammed down on Hex, stopping the spell.
As Gwen and Max joined up as they came down the stairs, the alien told them. "Stay back!" Hex's staff glows as he stands above a tomb, glaring down at the alien. "You dare challenge Hex?!" He then chants a spell as red smoke comes from his staff it affects 3 different gargoyles, bringing them to life with red glowing eyes. Four Arms gasped as the 3 attacked the alien. Four Arms tried swiping at the small gargoyle, but it was too fast and agile. He then starts wrestling and grappling with the medium one as he backs away and uses his crab armor to block strikes. But just as the gargoyle leaps away, the large one tackles the red alien, slamming him into multiple tombstones.
Hex then went back to his spell, just for a rock to hit him as he glanced back to see Lucky Girl, holding another with a smile. "Luck only takes you so far, Grandpa!" She then chucks the rock, hitting Hex and knocking him down. As the small gargoyle screeches as it dives down, Max manages to lift a metal pole with a chunk of rock at the end and smirks out. "Going... Going... Gone!" He cries out as he swings like a baseball player and smashes the monster into dust.
Back with Four Arms, who knocks the big gargoyle into a church bell tower and sends it crashing down. As the medium gargoyle snarls and screech at the alien, Four Arms picks up a stone claymore and holds it on his shoulder, giving the 'bring it on' sign with his hand. The beast charges and tries to tackle from behind, but Four Arms swings and turns the beast and his weapon into rubble. The large Gorglye tries to punch him, but Four Arms dodges and blocks a rock thrown at him as the alien sides step another tackle and grabs the monster into a hold with his arms while holding the sides of its head with his upper hands. He then slams both fists on the temples, crushing the beast's head into gravel as the body slumps down.
Lucky Girl manages to pick up the Charms of Bezel as Hex notices, only for Four Arms to grab him with a smirk. "Time for the magician to disappear!" Throwing him into an open coffin, Max seals the lid and dusts his hands off with a smirk. As the 2 males settle, they turn towards Gwen as she smiles at the charms, excited at the powers she now holds in her hands. "I can fly, shoot out bolts of lightning, bring trees to life, and even command fire! I would be unstoppable!"
But as she settles down and looks at the charms in hard thought, she realizes that this much power can be a tempting target for other villains and thieves and could be very dangerous if misused. And so, after some thinking, she realizes what she must do. "Or I can just be me." Grabbing a shovel, she slams it down on them Charms of Bezel, destroying them in a flash of light, much like the Northern Lights as the family watched.
As Hex was retrieved from the coffin, the police handcuffed him as he was led away as Ben and Gwen watched from the back of the Rust Bucket as it drove past the scene. "You know, you 2 make a pretty great team, back there!" Max smiles out. But Gwen sighs out. "Made a great team. Now that my powers are gone, I'm just back to being plain old Gwen Tennyson." Ben smiles from his comic book. "Hey, you did the right thing, back there. Destroying those charms. Besides, you did an okay job for your 1st time being a hero."
Gwen smiles out. "Yeah... I did. Thanks, Ben." "No problem! What are cousins for?" "He's right, Gwen." Max smiles as he also adds. "Besides, maybe Lucky Girl will make a comeback, someday?" Gwen glances back at Lucky Girl's mask as she thinks about it and smiles. "Yeah... Someday."
