Ben 10 Ultimate Hero EP 17: Villain Time

I don't own anything except my OCs.

Intro:

A green glowing, steel pod was flying through space, hurtling towards earth as it crashed, making a huge green flash.

The camera zooms out from the glowing symbol on the Ultimatrix as Ben looks up close at it.

He then activates it while smirking at the camera, raising his hand high and slapping it down on the core.

The background turns all green as Ben morphs into Four Arms, who pumps his upper fists while cracking his lower ones with a smirk.

A white number appears on the left side, starting at 1.

"Ben 10!"

2: Heatblast ignites 2 fireballs in his hands.

"Ben 10!"

3: XLR8 zooms into the right.

4: Diamondhead swaps his right arm across as it turns into a blade.

"Ben 10!"

5: Cannonbolt uncurls and poses.

"Ben 10!"

"Ben 10!"

6: Upgrade stretches out of his puddle form.

7: Grey Matter hops off the 7 and lands into a crouch, giving a thumbs up and a smile.

"Ben 10!"

8: Water Hazard slides in on his water blasts and raises his fists.

"Ben 10!"

9: Wildvine extends his legs and stretches out his right fingers while holding seeds in his left one, chucking them offscreen.

10: Big Chill phases through the number and floats briefly before zooming near the camera.

"Ben 10!"

Big Chill's head turns back into Ben's as it rotates.

The camera zooms out to reveal Max and Gwen by his side.

Ben gave a low-five to his grandfather as Gwen crossed her arms and shook her head playfully with a smile.

The 2 then ran off-screen, making Ben run towards the camera with a determined look.

He then froze as his aliens appeared in heroic poses on each of the kids' sides, 5 on each side. Just as the title appears on a black background with green rays appearing from the title.

Ben was busy fishing at a lake, waiting for something until he felt a struggle. He yanks the pole back, hoisting a fish that is large in size. He grins as he holds his prize catch. "Sweet! I caught a real monster! This is the biggest fish I've ever caught!" "Way to go, Ben! That's the spirit." Max spoke out, impressed and proud of his grandson's catch as the Tennyson kids were participating in a fishing contest to take a break from all the hero stuff and battles, lately.

Just then, a man in a fishing outfit appears and hands Ben a medium-sized silver trophy. "Congrats, sonny! 2nd place!" The kid grins at the small panel on the bottom that has his name on it. "Ah, yeah! Award swag." "Hey, Ben!" Gwen walks up, making the boy turn around, only to be surprised at the bigger gold trophy. "That's a great catch, Ben! Mine was super-size."

"It's nothing compared to your trophy! It's just not fair." He sighs as he places the fish back in the water and sets his trophy down as he sulks. "I've been at this hero thing for a while, but I never got rewarded for it. Why doesn't anyone respect me for what I've done, all over the road trip? Like a monument in my honor! Like Mt. Benmore! It's like Mt. Rushmore but with 10 of me!" The boy grins as he imagines Mt. Rushmore with all 10 of his alien heads carved on it. But Gwen pops the bubbles as she points out.

"One big head of yours is plenty. Besides, what are you talking about, Ben? They respect you! We even have a YouTube channel. 'TheUltimateOmniverseChannel' remember? By the way, thanks to our latest video from Grey Matter's drones, we have added 8,000 subscribers! You have to be impressed." Gwen spoke out as she showed the channel on her phone. Ben responds to his cousin. "They only appreciated my alien forms! They care less for the kid inside them! Maybe I can do a reveal to them?"

"I understand what you're feeling, Ben." The kids turn to the grandfather as he carves something with a pocketknife and wood. "But you have to keep a secret identity for yours, as well as everyone in the family's safety. I understand you want your fans to know who you are, but until we can figure out a way to keep your identity a secret while showing the world the person behind the aliens, the public is just going to have the deal with the idea that your aliens are separate people." Ben looks down in thought. "Besides, heroes don't use their powers for fame and attention. They used them to protect people and stop disasters when no one else could. It's about doing the right thing over being a celebrity. Like Ladybug and Chat Noir, you've met in Paris." "He makes a point, Ben..." Gwen adds out.

BOOM The kids ran to the sounds as screams were heard, only to be surprised to see a flaming tour boat that is getting close to the people. "Nothing a little Water Hazard can't handle!" Ben exclaims as he twists the dial to his aqua alien as he slaps it. FLASH

Cannonbolt looks at himself and slouches. "Aw, great! How am I supposed to fight a fire with a giant pinball?" As he looks at the boat, he glances at the lake, only to get a straight face as he figures it out. "Oh, right. Water." He then rolls off, using a rock for a ramp as he launches high in the air, falling near the boat. "BIG RESCUE CANNONBALL!"

SPLASH The water douses the fire as the alien climbs up to a nearby boat. The people cheer and thank him. "Thank you, Cannonbolt!" "Not a problem! Well, I impressed even myself! And thanks to Gwen, I got it all on camera with the drones. Maybe Grandpa is right about this whole identity thing." Cannonbolt comments as he notices his cousin deployed a couple of drones as well, operating the cameras from her tablet. Just then, a loud cry broke him out of his thoughts. "TIM BUKATU! TO THE RESCUE!"

"Huh?" He looks up to see a slightly overweight man with black hair in an elvish style and a 5 o'clock shadow and squinty eyes fly in on a batwing glider with handles on top. He has a pale button shirt with a tiki necklace and grey shorts with brown boots. He lands near the alien as his glider retracts, making a satchel with 3 villas on the strap as he stomps out a small fire. "Rescue? A little late to the party, aren't you?" The man merely replies. "Save you slang for the judge, evildoer!"

The alien was confused as he defended. "'Evildoer?' More like a hero!" "Then why was the tour boat aflame, you fiend?!" "I put fires out! I don't start them! Unless I'm Heatblast." Cannonbolt adds out in pondering. "I got no time for answers! Taste Pandemonium poison arrow frog blow darts!" He got out a blow dart pipe and fired at Cannonbolt, who quickly blocked with his plates, deflecting the darts. "Hey! I'm not the bad guy!" He curls in a ball and sends one back at Tim's chin, making him pull it out and throw it away, only for his chin to swell up. "GAAHH! Anti-Venom!" He quickly got a vial with a purple liquid out, breaking and drinking it as his chin was cured.

"I got my eye on you, master of evil! Cho!" He activates his glider and flies away, making the alien glare at him. "HEY! NOT SO FAST, BUSTER!" He follows him on a string of boats as he bounces and tackles him, sending him crashing onto the beach. He groans as he looks up as Cannonbolt towers over him. "Consider yourself, grounded!" BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP FLASH Ben smirks as he dusts his hands as the man gets up and rubs his head. "Alright, kid! You got my interest! You're a boy that turns into what?" "Ben's the name! Going alien hero is my game!" "Intriguing! Can you be an alien hero less in my way? I got some real heroing to do!"

Ben growls at the man for putting him down. Just then, Gwen appears in between them and stops them. "GUYS! You're both heroes! Okay? No need to argue about it." The boy huffs and turns away as the tween girl sighs out.

"This imposter? A hero?" Tim chuckles as Ben glares at him, grinding his teeth. "Imposter?! I've been saving the day, from day one of Summer!" "But I have to admit, in all my travels, I never seen someone with your abilities before." "And I admit that your bag full of stuff is kind of cool. For a cheap, Batman utility belt knock-off." Ben mumbles out with his hands in his pockets as Tim gets excited, missing the last part. "You think so?!" "Yeah, I give a 5 out of 10." "Oh, yeah!? I'm 5 times better than your 10-year-old face!" Ben got angry at what he had been called. "That doesn't even make sense!"

"Guys…" Gwen facepalms as Max pats the seat next to him "Gwen, it's best if you just sit back and enjoy. It's a male pride thing." The girl did that as the boy and adult got in each other's faces. "So, you think you have what it takes to play in the big leagues? Show me what you got 'Tim Buck-Zero!'" Ben exclaims as he pounds his hand.

"Behold my hypno totem! You're paralyzed!" Ben merely slaps on the watch, turning into Heatblast as he touches it, burning the wood as Tim slams it down in frustration.

"You can't possibly compete against my ninja smoke vial!" The man said as he threw it on the ground, making a huge cloud of black smoke engulf him as Big Chill breathed on the ground, making an ice cloud that partly covered him. "HA! I can still see you! And feel you! It feels like a failure!"

Tim pushes his belt buckle, opening it as he pulls some rope out. He straps himself to a big rock as he grabs the ropes. "Cleaver amplification of strength through leverage." He lifts the boulder a bit, only for Four Arms to walk over, and picks the rock up with just 2 arms, holding it up as Tim growls.

Both heroes were painting as they rested their hands on their knees. "Okay! You might have some skills, Tim. But I have training and experience! And unlike you, I have drones that record my awesomeness." Ben gestures to the hovering machines with the cameras deactivated. "Oh? Well, I've clawed through jungles, collecting artifacts all my life to become a hero!" Ben narrows his eyes as he tells Tim. "Then I guess we just have to wait until something happens to prove who's the better hero." The man smirks as he looks at his left wrist. "Good idea! I think that the time should be right... now!"

BOM Both of them look to see an explosion on the top of the dam, making lighting spark everywhere as one of the generators is smoking. "Talk about a coincidence, am I right?" Tim causally questions as Ben smirks. "It's hero time!" "Yeah, It's hero time! Later!" He activates his wings and flies off. Ben was furious at the man copying his catchphrase "Okay, the 'hero' bit, I was willing to slide! But stealing my catchphrase?! It is on!"

Tim turns and throws a vial at the boy's feet, making tar glue his shoes to the ground. "HEY!" "Have fun getting out of my Tasmanian tar pit!" "Hang on, Ben!" Gwen said that as she and Max tried to help him, only to get their hands sticky. "It's no use! It's too sticky!" Max said as the boy noticed his charged glove. "I got this! There's no time to wait with XLR8!" FLASH "Finally got the right alien for once!" XLR8 grins out as he spins his wheels, making tar splashes on the girl and elder as he zooms off. "Thanks a lot, dweeb!" Gwen groans out.

XLR8 runs alongside the cliff, reaching the dam. Only for Tim to throw a net over the generator, stopping the electricity. XLR8 was surprised at how Tim managed to handle it. "You… Saved the day!?" "The webbing of the semantic king spider insults against electricity! 'Shocking' isn't it?" The man starts chuckling at his pun, only for it to increase to full-blown laughter that goes on for a bit as XLR8 looks at him deadpan while shaking his head. Tim eventually calms down and wipes a tear from his eye, making the alien question him. "Where do you even get this stuff?!"

Time climbs down as he answers while XLR8 crosses his arms. "Wherever the winds of adventure take me! Wherever the screams of those in danger roar like lions!" "All right! I admit: Maybe you're a somewhat decent hero." Just then, a worker rises from a manhole near them and asks Tim. "You just saved the dam! Who are you, brave soul?" "I'm XLR8—" "I have many names! Guardian! Protector! But you, citizen, can call me Tim Bukatu!" "I think we should build a statue in your honor and give you, our respect!" "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" XLR8 cries out in fury that Tim is getting the thing he wanted earlier.

"Step aside, kiddo! It's hero time!" The man chuckles as a crowd of people gathers around and admires him. XLR8 looks sad and wheels off, hiding around the corner as he times out. "But… I'm the hero." He looks in depression, wondering if he's been out-heroed. "Maybe he is better. He knows how to handle the problem."

"Yeah! Like he knew it was going to happen!" The boy is surprised at Gwen's voice as his family comes up to him, via a golf cart. "Ben, there you are! Gwen and I were talking, and we think something's up with Tim! He seemed to know when and where this disaster was going to happen a little too well. And I can tell, it can't be a coincidence." Max frowns as he studies the man.

"Ben, you need to see this. Your drones caught something interesting." Gwen pulls out the tablet and taps it to a recording of the boat after the fire as Max explains. "Your cousin thought about the boat fire and decided to check it out with the drones you made and one of them caught something you have to see." Ben kept watching and was surprised to see it zoom into a broken vial. "What is that?" "This." She took out the vial and another one. "Recognize the left one? It's the vial from that tar bomb Tim threw at you. The same vial that also started the boat fire and what he's been carrying around and using."

Gwen then explains as she points at the tablet as one drone hovers above and zooms to the generator, showing the remains of one on top of where the explosion was. "They are the same vials! And there's another one up on the generator!" Ben widens his eyes at the realization of what scam Tim is pulling. "You mean he set up all those disasters, just so he can stop them!?" "Yeah! Except he didn't count on risking people's lives in the process!" Gwen frowns as Max adds in as well. "And if I'm a betting man, I wager he's not done yet! Sooner or later, he's going to make a problem even if he can't stop." Ben turns and glares at the man, slapping his watch to turn into Diamondhead as he grabs the vials and walks back, making Tim notice him.

"Uh… Who's this now?" "Say hello to the supervillain behind today's sabotages!" Tim points as the crowd gasps in shock. "'Super Villain?' Really?" The crystal alien deadpans as the worker hides in the hole. "Tim! I was looking for you! You seemed to drop something, and I want to give it back! Recognize these?!" He shot back as the alien held the vials, making Tim notice and gaining a panicked look as he walked over while whispering to the alien. "Hey, hey, now, kid! I know this looks bad, but there's a logical reason behind this: I just want to be a hero, that's all!" He sneakily grabs the vials and stuffs them in his bag and puts a hand on the alien's shoulder. "A few minor mishaps. Some epic saves and Boom! Nothing but hero club! Come on, work with me! If we team up, we'll split the profits from this! How about 70-30?" The alien shoves the man off in disgust as he treats being a hero like a game.

He glares and yells at the man, unaware he is getting a vial out. "Forget, Tim! This is one hero that isn't for sale!" "Oh yeah!? I hope you like the taste of Bermuda Serpent saliva!" He throws the vial as Diamondhead dodges, making it crash against the dam wall as Gwen and Max run from it. The liquid starts melting the stone as some water leaks out. Diamondhead crosses his arms as Tim gets an 'oh-no' look. "You threw a vial of acid on a dam that is holding back gallons of water from flooding the lake and the local town?! Not even a supervillain is this stupid!" "Hah… Not a problem! I can fix this easily! After all, it's only a little trickle of water and—"

BBBBOOOMMMM the cracks burst, making more water flood out. "That's a big crack!" "Okay, what need to do here is—" "RUNN!" Tim screams out as he flees as fast as he can while Diamondhead looks in disgust. "A REAL hero keeps calm under pressure and tries to fix the problem!" He tries to fix the crack, only for the water to burst through the crystal, shaking Tim off. "AH-HA!" He activates his glider as rocks fall around him. "This is why I employed a wingsuit—" Just then, some stones tear through his wings, making him fall to the water as he screams his head off. Diamondhead facepalms and groans out. "I'm coming, Tim!"

He dives in after the false hero, making some diamonds cover for some workers at the bottom from the failing rocks as he makes a splash. He dives to Tim and rips the strap off, freeing him from the weight as he swims to the surface. Diamondhead tries to follow, only to realize that his heavy crystal body is making him sink as he flails his arms in an effortless attempt.

The man breaks water and runs for his life as Gwen and Max look down in worry. "Where's Ben?" Just then, as if it was the answer to her question, a cluster of diamonds catapults Tim into the air as Diamondhead makes a pillar rise out of the water with him on top and grabs the scared man. "No more playing around! No more games! This is real, understand?" The man fearfully nods as Diamondhead rises to the crack. "It's hero time, Tim!" "What am I—" "Tar bombs!" He fumbles for them before getting a good grip on them. "Do it!"

The man tosses one, making some tar spread over the crack. "Keep going! I have an idea!" He kept going back and forth with his crystal slide as the man kept throwing. He then leaps up at the top as the old man squeaks out. "Don't drop me! Don't drop me!" "I got you, you big baby!" They both slid down a trail of crystals over the crack, fixing it as the alien dropped Tim into the water and hopped onto the ground. The man surfaced and spoke. "A childish insult! Everyone knows it was I who saved the day!" "Yeah! After you wrecked it in the first place!" Diamondhead shot back.

Just then, a police boat shows up and nets Tim, bringing him on board as he grins at the alien. "When we meet again, Ben. It's villain time!" "And now you have your catchphrase. YOU'RE WELCOME!" He cries out as the boat leaves.

Ben stares in sadness in the water as Gwen shows up. "Good job, Ben!" "I guess..." "Gwen Tennyson?" The 2 turns to see a man holding Gwen's trophy. "You dropped your trophy in all the events that have happened. Here you go. And again, great job, Big Bass champ!"

Gwen grins as she holds her trophy as Ben looks at it with a straight look. "Are you okay, Ben?" Max asks as he walks to him. "That's a pretty big trophy Gwen won." "Yeah, Grandpa. You were right. If I was so obsessed with being a hero for fame and glory, I would have acted like Tim. I should be happy with just helping people for the sake of it, not focusing on being famous. Besides, you were right about keeping my identity a secret." The boy responds as he holds his trophy that Max kept as the elder took something out. "That's great, sport! Which is why you deserved this!"

Max held out a wood-carved Emmy award, only it had Ben in place of the woman as the boy gasped in awe. "WOW! A Benny award! Awesome! Thanks, Grandpa!" Ben grins at his new trinket as he also holds his silver trophy while the Tennysons all laugh and have a great time at the lake.
