Ben 10 Ultimate Hero EP 18: Drive you crazy

I don't own anything except my OCs.

Intro:

A green glowing, steel pod was flying through space, hurtling towards earth as it crashed, making a huge green flash.

The camera zooms out from the glowing symbol on the Ultimatrix as Ben looks up close at it.

He then activates it while smirking at the camera, raising his hand high and slapping it down on the core.

The background turns all green as Ben morphs into Four Arms, who pumps his upper fists while cracking his lower ones with a smirk.

A white number appears on the left side, starting at 1.

"Ben 10!"

2: Heatblast ignites 2 fireballs in his hands.

"Ben 10!"

3: XLR8 zooms into the right.

4: Diamondhead swaps his right arm across as it turns into a blade.

"Ben 10!"

5: Cannonbolt uncurls and poses.

"Ben 10!"

"Ben 10!"

6: Upgrade stretches out of his puddle form.

7: Grey Matter hops off the 7 and lands into a crouch, giving a thumbs up and a smile.

"Ben 10!"

8: Water Hazard slides in on his water blasts and raises his fists.

"Ben 10!"

9: Wildvine extends his legs and stretches out his right fingers while holding seeds in his left one, chucking them offscreen.

10: Big Chill phases through the number and floats briefly before zooming near the camera.

"Ben 10!"

Big Chill's head turns back into Ben's as it rotates.

The camera zooms out to reveal Max and Gwen by his side.

Ben gave a low-five at his grandfather as Gwen crossed her arms and shook her head playfully with a smile.

The 2 then ran off-screen, making Ben run towards the camera with a determined look.

He then froze as his aliens appeared in heroic poses on each of the kids' sides, 5 on each side. Just as the title appears on a black background with green rays appearing from the title.

Ben was getting impatient, tapping the table and his feet as the Rust Bucket moved through the desert. "Are we there yet?" "Not yet. Be patient." Max responds from the front, making the boy slouch as he complains. "This is taking forever! I want to test my new helmet at Mini-Moto Go-kart Park!" He said as he tapped his light green, with a black strip down the middle, helmet on his head. "Can't this bucket of bolts go any faster?!" Max spoke back. "Now, Ben. It's not the car that matters, it's the driver. And this driver goes to the speed limit." HONK HONK Ben looks out to see a small green car with an elderly couple in it driving past them. "MOVE IT, SLOWPOKE!"

"Maybe you should let me drive?" "You are driving, driving us nuts!" Gwen chuckles to herself as Ben gets annoyed. "Says, who?" "You're older cousin, duh!" "Only by 10 seconds!" "Best 10 seconds of my life..." Gwen sighs out. Just then, Max swerves to the side as a red, tricked-out hot rod cuts him off and speeds away, followed by 2 blue monster trucks. The 3 were panicking as the RV screeched around, coming to a stop as it shook.

Ben took his helmet off and looked out, seeing the retreating group. "COME ON, GRANDPA! We can take them!" "I'm not sure the Rust Bucket can take anything right now!" Max responds as he tries to start it back up, only for the engine to splatter and die out. "That's not a good sign." Gwen comments. "We're going to need to find a repair shop, pronto." "I think you mean; we need an Upgrade, pronto!" The boy said as he raised his glove, dialing the tech-blob alien's icon only to be stopped by Max as he explained. "That won't be needed! There's an exit up ahead. I'm sure we can find a normal repair shop."

Ben slouches back to the table and crosses his arms. "Aw, man!" The boy then puts his helmet on, pretending to drive and race. He was so into his dream, that Gwen had to snap her finger in front of him. "Huh?" "Ben. We're here." The boy got excited as he raced out of the RV. Only to stop to see a retirement community of trailers. "Where's the Go-karts?" "We came here to a repair shop, remember?" Ben asks. "And where is here? 'Twilight Falls?' What kind of place is this?"

"It must be a retirement community..." Gwen said as she and Max walked over. Ben took off his helmet with a frown and turned. "Well, I'll be in the Rust Bucket." The elder grabs him by his collar in response. "We're going together." They both walk down the street as Ben mumbles out in sarcasm. "This is almost too exciting." Max points out. "We just need to find a repair shop and we can be on our way."

Just then, as they were walking, Ben saw something, making him turn in awe at a shiny, blue racing car near a Bodyshop. "WHOA! Sweet ride!" They both got a closer look as Ben commented. "What's a car like this doing in a sleepy, little dump of a town like—" "Hey, now!" They both saw a brown-skinned; slightly overweight woman rolling from underneath. "That's my town, you're talking about."

"OH! Hey…. Car person?" Gwen quickly points out. "You'll have to pardon my cousin. Words aren't his specialty!" The woman stands up and wipes her hands as she replies. "Not at all! Everyone is welcome in Twilight Falls. The name's Komal and this is my shop!" The sign from Komal's shop is run down as the s in the shop part fell off. "We're a little behind on our maintenance." She sheepishly adds as Max introduces themselves. "I'm Max! And these are my grandkids: Gwen and Ben." The boy waves. "S'up?" "Thank goodness we found you! Our RV—" "Not another word! I'll get my crew on it right away!" She interrupts Max.

She then whistles, making the garage door open as 3 men in jumpsuits rush to the Rust Bucket. The kids were surprised at what she had figured out. "How did you know?!" Gwen asks as Ben narrows his eyes. "Are you a mind reader?" Komal responds. "A pit chief always knows." Ben was shocked at meeting a real pit chief before his eyes. "NO WAY! You're a race car pit chief?!" "Yep! Worked with some of the best of the biz. This little beauty here won more races than I can count." Komal places a hand in caring for the car as she explains. "I was getting some last-minute changes in for the big race." "Race? What race?" Ben questions as Komal explains. "We may seem like a sleepy town, but every year, some of the finest racers gather here for the Cali 5000." Some race cars zoom past them as if in response to her statement as proof.

"'Cali 5000?' What are their 5000 of?" Ben ponders out. "I think it's just a name. But I want to win! That prize money could get my shop back in order." Just then, the same red car and trucks from before pulled up to the group. The window of the red car rolls down, revealing a man with white slick back hair and a red and black racing outfit. His mouth area and noise are exposed while the rest of it is covered with red goggles and a white lightning bolt symbol on his chest. "HAHAHA! Do you think you have a chance of winning? Come on!" The man responded with a French/Italian accident.

"LaGrange!" The 3 hisses out as they all glare at him. "You were banned from the Cali 5000 a long time ago!" Komal cries out as Gwen adds in. "And I thought your car looked familiar!" "Yeah! You cut us off on purpose!" Ben bellows as he shakes his fist in anger. The man merely responds. "Aww… Come now... TSK TSK TSK Nothing can stop me from calming the prize after taking out every car in the race. Allow me to start on yours?" The man pushes a button, making the top of his engine block retract, and unfolds a missile launcher. Max quickly grabs the kids and runs with Komal as the rockets are fired.

BOOM They all were thrown by the explosion, as the car flipped upside down, destroyed and smoking. "Uh-oh! Someone needs a tune-up! HAHAHA!" The villain racer chuckles as he and his goons race away. Komal sits up as she looks at her wrecked car. "Oh-no! I don't believe it! I'm ruined!"

Just then, as Komal stands up, she grimaces in pain as she holds her left foot as the kids are worried. "Just what I need: I'm out of the race and have a broken ankle! I'm worse off than when I started!" Ben spoke out in a comment. "Too bad you don't have another car. Then you can stand a fighting chance against LaGrange." "Well… There is one."

She opens the garage, with some support from Max, to show an old, green car that looks ready for the junkyard then a racetrack. "She's a bit of a fixer-upper, though." "More like a fixer forever." Gwen comments as Ben reassures her. "No worry! All it needs is an Upgrade!" "Upgrade? What are we talking about here: Hedges? Cams? Turbo?" The woman lists as Ben merely cracks his knuckles in our response. "About all of the above! Just get this thing to the race! I'll take care of the rest!"

Later at the big race, all the racers, LaGrange and goons included, were at the starting line as a tow truck brought the junk car away from the event. The truck sets it down and leaves as Komal, now in crutches, asks. "Well, it's here! Not sure how useful it is. Besides, I can't race with a busted ankle!" The boy smirks in response. "Don't worry, I know what to do!" "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! START YOUR ENGINES!" The announcer called out as Komal said to the boy. "Better get a move on!" The kids ran up to the vehicle as Ben activated the watch. "Time to Upgrade!" Slapping it down, he morphs into Upgrade.

Komal is shocked. "WHAT?! WHAT THE?!" "Just wait, Ben is getting started!" Max said. The alien merges with the car, making it into a futuristic racer with a rocket booster on the back and a green glass shield, covering the seat section. Komal was speechless as Max got a worried look. "Oh… Should have mentioned this before, huh?"

"Hey! You're not going without me!" Gwen calls out as she opens the cockpit glass climbs into the passenger seat and buckles herself. Upgrade turns and races off, joining the event as the green flag is waved, making the others zoom off as the alien catches up. Max glanced at Komal as he sighed and went off. "Guess I better take care of this problem, then..."

The cars were zipping through the desert, trying to pass one another as they jogged for position. LaGrange radios to his goons. "Okay! Time to thin the herd!" One goon gives an okay sign as he swerves right, knocking the car next to him as it tumbles and lands upside down the driver stumbles out, okay, but dizzy as he mumbles out. "Good thing I was wearing my seatbelt..."

The other minion saw more cars in his mirrors, making him push a button to entangle them with nets, making them crash and tumble into the others as they tried to avoid them. "Nicely down, but we need to step it up!" LaGrange spoke out as he pushed a button, only for his windshield wipers to turn on as he frowned. "Wrong button." Another button and 3 mines were tossed from his trunk, exploding and making a huge crater as some cars crashed into it while others went around it.

"BEEP! BEEP! COMING THROUGH!" Upgrade calls as he swerves around the pack. "Ben! We have got to stop LaGrange before he causes some serious damage!" "Working on it, just hang on!" The alien racer catches up to the behind of LaGrange and between his goons. "We got a visitor!" One minion responds to the other. "I love surprise guests!" They try to sandwich them, only for Upgrade to use some super jump jacks to leap over the tires and fall back as Gwen groans out. "Okay... Maybe I should have brought a barf bag?"

"I think you should give them a warm welcome." "'Warm'? Or cold?" The 2nd minion smirks at his partner as he pushes another button, making ice shot from behind and covering the car. "I CAN'T SEE!" "Don't worry!" Gwen pushes a button, making the wipers clear the window as Upgrade pokes his head out, clearing the snow. "Oh, much better!" He then speeds up.

"How about some black ice?" The 1st minion then pushed another button and made a trail of oil spill out, making Upgrade spin around. "Uh-oh! WHOA! Hang on, Gwen! I got an idea!" He morphs his tires into sleds and regains control, sliding fast as he clears the oil and switches back to tires as appears side-by-side with the truck. "Now to take care of the goons!" Upgrade narrows his eye ring as he makes energy spikes appear on the tires of his car and uses them to shred and pop the monster truck tires, making them spin out of control and crash to a stop at some rocks.

The Tennyson cousins then reached neck to neck with LaGrange as he was surprised. "Imˈpäsəbəl!" "HEY! LaGrange! We were wondering if you considered dropping from the race?" Gwen smugly asks with a smirk. "The answer is no! Now, be a good little girl and lose!" He tries to bump into them, only for Upgrade to powerslide to the right and dodge and replies. "Oh, no! We saw that trick before!" He then pulls ahead and passes the masked racer. "AHH! Finally, a worth comparator! Ugg…" The racer groans as he looks at the rearview mirror of his goons' trucks. "These fools… Your services are no longer required!"

"Think he's mad for letting that car pass us?" One goon asked the other as they both climbed out of their trucks, just as 2 missiles were fired upon the trucks, blowing them up while the thugs quickly got out of the way as the other masked man, responded to his partner. "Wee. A little mad."

"He's destroying everything, even his racers! It's just us and him now!" Gwen said as LaGrange caught up. "SO! We meet again! I enjoyed our little dance! But alas, ze finish line awaits! caught seem confident! Care to make a wager?" "Gwen, what are you doing?!" Gwen shushes her cousin as the man becomes interested. "A wager?" "If you win: You get this car! But if we win: You never race again in the Cali 5000!" "I accept! HAHAHA! Have the keys to my new car ready at the end! Au reviore!" The man races ahead as Gwen exclaims. "ALL RIGHT, BEN! Let's make this creep eat our dust!" BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP "Uh… Cuz?! We've got a problem!" "Don't tell me: Timing out?" FLASH

The car rolls to a stop as Ben sits on top of it. LaGrange looks disappointed in his rear mirror. "Aw… petty. I didn't even get a chance to cheat." Ben orders his watch in anger as Gwen crosses her arms in defeat. "COME ON! RECHARGE!" "Forgot it! We've lost! The shop is doomed and Komal will be out of a job." The boy kept shaking, ignoring his cousin when suddenly, the device glowed green and recharged. The boy was surprised at what happened! "Wait?! Shaking it works?! I've got to find the manual for this thing! We're good to go, Gwen!" "Then what are you waiting for!? Let's go!"

Ben activates the core as he selects XLR8. "Let's see if LaGrange is faster than XLR8!" FLASH Heatblast looks at himself and grumbles, leaning down to look at his cousin. "Okay, change of plan! Can you steer this thing and get your seat belt buckled?" "Yep!" Gwen responds as she moves over to the wheel and buckles as Heatblast sits on the back and points his hands behind the car. Heatblast fires a dual stream of flames, using it as a rocket to speed up to high velocity as Gwen keeps the vehicle steady. The girl noticed they were catching up to the enemy fast! "Closing in on LaGrange!"

"Well, it seems I get to cheat after all…" The racer fires some rockets at them. "INCOMING!" Heatblast turns and fires at them, blowing them to bits along with some mines. "Get the afterburners back up! We're losing him!" "I got a better idea! Let's cut this race short!" Heatblast points his finger like a gun and fires a small fireball into the exhaust port of the other car with pinpoint accuracy.

Just then, the engine starts smoking as LaGrange sniffs, wondering what is wrong when the engine explodes, flipping the car on its side as the man exclaims. "You think that this race is over?! Time for the Coup de grâce!" He pushes a button labeled "heat-seeking", firing a bigger rocket from the trunk.

Heatblast quickly saw it and fired his afterburners, making his car lung forward as the rocket followed the flame. "Why is it following us?!" "It must be a heat-seeking missile! LaGrange is straight ahead!" Gwen points out. "All right, missile! Let's see you follow this!" Heatblast made an orb of heat and threw it on LaGrange's car, making a small fire as the rocket redirected to it. "Aw, cripes." The man hits an eject button and escapes in a go-kart from his car as the rocket hits it and explodes.

The car rolls to a stop over the finish line as Ben and Gwen give a thumbs up at each other in the car. "We just saved Komal's shop!" "Then there's only one thing to do…"

At the Go-Kart Park, Ben flips his helmet's visor down as Gwen does the same thing in their carts. "Ready to eat dust?" "Bring it, Ben!" The lights lit green as all the carts zoomed off, well, all except for Max. "Hey! Wait up! I think I have a bad cart!" His grandson laps him as he responds, "You know, a wise man once said: It's not the car, it's the driver." He zooms off as Max groans out. "I hate it when my own words of wisdom are used against me."
