Welcome back to City of Angels and Demons. Last time, while Spyro demonstrated his particular Dragon Kata for most of the team, Cynder and Deacon almost got into SWAT unnoticed. But just as they almost did, a panicked woman ran up to them. Well, she ran into them really. And then started rambling on about some "men in suits" putting her back into "The Pit" if she's caught. Because, as it turns out, this is the same woman from the very start of the story. Cynder and Deacon offer to take her inside to help her calm back down. But she only accepts help from Spyro and Cynder, claiming they haven't been "bought" yet. Just when you think she's crazy, some of those men in suits come around the corner, looking for her. So, what's going to happen inside SWAT? Read on to discover...

(Our scene opens up with the panicked woman from earlier sitting in SWAT's kitchen, sipping at a glass of tea while nervously looking around. Just outside the kitchen, Cynder and Deacon finish informing Hicks, Hondo, and Spyro about what the heck just happened outside.)

Cynder: And she decides that apparently only Spyro and I can be trusted. So once she's calmed down we'll need to talk to her.

Hondo: That's... one heck of a story.

Hicks: What I want to know is how you're sure she's not just a paranoid schizophrenic who went off her meds.

Deacon: I've got to agree, what I heard sounds absolutely crazy. Men in suits holding her in some kind of Pit? Nothing about this makes sense.

Cynder: I'm still thinking we should hear her out.

Spyro: I'll second that.

Hondo: So will I.

Hicks: (Seeing they're firmly in on checking this out) Okay, I'll see if I can't figure out who she is. Maybe that'll help us figure out what's going on.

Hondo: Good idea. (As Hicks leaves) So she's stated she'll only talk to you and Spyro.

Cynder: Yeah. The minute I told her Spyro and I had only been here three days, she stopped talking to Deac altogether. Apparently her reasoning is that Spyro and I haven't been "bought". Her words, not mine.

Spyro: What could that even mean?

Hondo: I've got a theory there. It's not an ideal situation at all, but it's there.

Cynder: Well don't keep us in the dark, Hondo. What's the theory?

Hondo: Corruption of some kind. No idea where though.

Spyro: Let's see if we can't get the truth from her.

Deacon: Just remember if this gets crazy, Hondo and I are right outside the door.

Cynder: Thanks, Deac. (To Spyro) Let's get to work then.

Spyro: Agreed.

(While Spyro and Cynder head in to talk with the now hopefully less panicked woman and Hondo and Deacon start guard duty, shadows can briefly be seen moving in the windows, somehow avoiding detection by the SWAT offices wandering around the building. Transitioning outside, we see it's the corrupt cops who have been trailing the panicked woman that Spyro and Cynder are now talking to.)

Corrupt Cop: We have the target in sight.

?: Good. Do not let her leave this place alive. I repeat: She. Must. Die.

Corrupt Cop: Are you sure this is a good idea? This is SWAT Headquarters!

?: I don't care who you have to kill, just make sure those Avalarian nuisances can't learn anything from her.

Corrupt Cop: Very well then.

(With that, the corrupt cops prepare to storm SWAT HQ, as our scene ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to stop for today. The enemy is taking the fight right to SWAT, all to kill this one person. This secret must be pretty well concealed if they're willing to storm SWAT HQ to keep it that way. I'll be honest, I can't think of a single episode where SWAT came under attack in their HQ. So that's why they're taking the fight to SWAT on their home turf. So, it looks like things are about to get bad up in SWAT HQ, at the hands of other cops none-the-less. This is not going to end well, not even remotely. But just how bad will this go exactly? Tune in next time to start finding out! Same time... same channel!
