Welcome back to City of Angels and Demons. Last time, Cynder and Deacon inform Spyro, Hondo, and Hicks of what just happened to them outside the station. Hicks agrees to help the group check it out by trying to identify the mystery woman. While Spyro and Cynder go in to talk to her and Hondo and Deacon stand guard outside the room, the mysterious forces after our mystery woman have arrived and are ready to strike. So, what awaits as the tension builds? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes in the SWAT headquarters' kitchen, where Spyro and Cynder have just arrived to speak with the mystery woman)

Cynder: Hey, good to see you've calmed down a bit.

Mystery Woman: The tea really helped. What is in this stuff?

Spyro: It's called frost-leaf, known throughout our homeland for being calming. Add a little mint and it's even better.

Mystery Woman: (Looks back to Cynder) Is this the partner you talked about?

Cynder: Yes. This is Spyro, my companion from Avalar.

Spyro: Pleasure to meet you.

Mystery Woman: Same.

Cynder: Now, I hate to be somewhat forceful about this, but if you're ready, we need to know what happened to you.

Spyro: Do you mind if I record this?

Mystery Woman: (Slightly unnerved) Please, no recordings. They'll get it somehow.

Spyro: Okay, handwritten notes it is then.

Cynder: Alright then, if you're ready.

Mystery Woman: (Sighs with relief) I am.

Cynder: Then let's start at the beginning...

(While Spyro and Cynder start talking to the mystery woman, outside the room, Hondo and Deacon start talking amongst themselves)

Hondo: Something doesn't seem right about all this.

Deacon: Meaning?

Hondo: Not sure. All I know is, I've got a bad feeling about this.

(As the two converse, Hicks enters the scene, with a tablet in hand)

Hicks: Good news, I was able to identify our mystery woman.

Hondo: So who're we dealing with?

Hicks: Her name's Christina Summer, though she usually goes by Mae. No history of psych issues.

Deacon: So she's not crazy, at least, not likely to be crazy.

Hicks: That's not all...

(But just as Hicks is about to reveal more data, we see a window open, and what looks like a grenade gets chucked in. Hondo hears it hit the ground, then immediately sees it)

Hondo: (Going into full mission mode) GET DOWN!

(Without hesitation, Hondo tackles Hicks to the ground as the grenade goes off, revealing itself to actually be a flashbang. Deacon was caught off guard by the flash, which is immediately followed by a smoke grenade as masked gunmen storm the room, trying to shoot everyone in sight while Hondo, Hicks, and Deacon scramble for cover. As the gunmen get started on seemingly killing everyone, we transition back into the room where Spyro and Cynder are talking to Christina Summer)

Christina Summer: (Now completely panicked) THEY'VE FOUND ME!

Cynder: Don't worry, we're not going to let them get you. (To Spyro) Get her out of here, go around back.

Spyro: Got it. (To Christina Summer) Let's get you out of here. (Back to Cynder) What about you?

Cynder: I'm going out there to backup Hondo and Deac. (Flips and breaks the top off a small table to form a makeshift shield) Should keep me covered enough to catch up to everybody. Now go, we haven't a moment to waste!

(Letting Cynder take command of the situation, Spyro grabs Christina Summer and they head out the back of the room, hopefully towards safety while Cynder rushes out into the ongoing siege with only the top of a table for protection, ending our scene for today)

And that looks like a good spot to end for today. So, the siege of SWAT Headquarters begins. But on the plus side, we learn a little bit about our mystery woman, at the very least, her name and the fact that she's likely not mentally ill. Though it looks like there's more to her, and of course our attackers have a dramatic sense of timing, showing up just as Hicks is about reveal a kicker about her. But, there's no time for data anymore, as she's being hunted by whoever these gunmen are. So, will Spyro get her out of there safely? Will the gunmen be stopped? Tune in next time to find out!
