"sorry about the delay Jade, we had a medical emergency, did Robbie tell you everything that you'd be getting into, I know you talked to them on the phone but they're a lot more energetic in person" says Debbie Shapiro
"he said they might try and sleep with me but that so long as I remain in a dominant position with them they won't hurt me" says Jade
"fair enough, the thing is though, they want to try a romantic relationship with you and they won't take no for an answer, oh and when referring to anything in bed with them do not under any occasion call it sex, they prefer the term 'making love', they hate the word sex with a burning passion, if you use that word it won't matter what position you are in over them, sexual or otherwise, they will attack you" says Debbie
"do they kiss each other, like are they technically dating each other, would I be a third person in a relationship simply because of the size of my chest" asks Jade
"that depends on your definition of dating, if you mean kissing yes, however they were brought up in a home where it was ok to feel emotions, honestly if they appreciate someone they will give them a quick kiss, it's them showing a person appreciation, there is almost never any sexual intent behind their kisses, if you mean dating in a sexual manner then no, not that they couldn't be, they've always known they weren't related, the cops say that so long as its mutually consensual that they won't do anything to stop the relationship if people complain" says Debbie
"so if they do anything with me and they happen to start doing stuff with each other it's ok" asks Jade
"yes it's ok, it would be better if they legally changed their last names back to reflect their biological family but they're afraid to, until then there will always be people complaining about them hugging let alone kissing or dating the same person" says Debbie
"is there anything I should absolutely know about them beforehand and before agreeing to anything here" asks Jade
"they both have OCD with compulsions or rituals as some people call it but Cally is worse off in this regard, repeating the same actions anywhere from twice to five times depending on how bad her anxiety is but if she's very calm like when she eats ice-cream it's almost non-existent, Selena is more of a repeat twice girl and it doesn't matter how anxious she is, it's always repeat twice" says Debbie
"we have a dish washer at my house, is that going to complicate things, honestly my dad's excited to meet them, which is odd for him" says Jade as Selena and Cally wait patiently with their bags
"don't introduce anyone until they've gotten comfortable in that environment, one thing I have found is that they're less likely to attack if they feel like they're equals in an environment, your dad can say hi from afar or over video chat but depending on how big he is muscle wise if he approaches them they're more likely to attack and they don't truly trust men" says Debbie
"my father is going to insist he greet them in person" says Jade
"then you have to warn him they are likely to attack him, though it is possible you're clearly dominant personality could give them enough comfort to feel safe enough to not have to attack but I can't be certain that external sources like another person could affect them positively enough to counteract their mistrust" says Debbie
"so if I can feel them tensing up would I just have to tell my dad it has to be done a different way because he's absolutely a 'meet your kids girlfriend or boyfriend in person' kind of guy" says Jade
"the longer you delay the meeting, the more comfortable they will feel in their environment, even if you delay them meeting till supper time it could give them enough time to feel safe, I can't stress this enough, they don't trust men to give them the space they deserve" says Debbie
"you have my number, please fill me in on everything you can, that you haven't already mentioned, I want to take them on a date, specifically an ice-cream date" says Jade
"will do, girls go ahead, you can leave with her, remember the rules, if you hurt someone and they have to be hospitalized Jade has every right to bring you back here" says Debbie
"yes miss Shapiro" says Cally and Selena in unison as they walk over and hug Jade
2 hours later at the West house
"Dad, please don't approach them" says Jade as Daniel West stops in his tracks
"may I ask why" asks Daniel
"when their mental health problems began to show themselves their adoptive parents decided to hire a male nurse to help treat the underlying issues, unfortunately this male nurse decided that physical abuse would work better at managing OCD and anxiety and depression instead of medication so they don't trust men not to be aggressive towards them and you're a man they've never met before, the more space you give them, the more trust they'll have in you and the more willing they'll be to interact with you, while on our date I told them all the rules of the house, how doing dishes works and all that, they agreed to at least try and introduce themselves at dinner but don't expect them to be very loud talkers, they're very much whisper speakers most of the time unless they're thanking someone" says Jade
"they look familiar, are they related to anyone I might know, I'm surprised you're dating both of them didn't take you for that kind of person" says Daniel
"Cally is Cat's twin sister and Selena is Tori's twin sister, non identical twins, the doctors noticed something was wrong with them when they were born and their parents opted to put them up for adoption hoping a family that could afford the meds they'd need because neither Cat's parents nor Tori's parents could afford the kind of meds they'd need at the time they were born and they hadn't expected to be able to for a long time" says Jade
"ahh that makes sense, Tori and Cat wanted to come over today, something about a relationship between them and wanting to finally meet their twins that you're now dating, they were hoping they'd be welcome for dinner, at least I think that's what the message said Cat was talking extremely fast, it's hard to understand her on a good day" says Daniel
"you think you can handle it girls, you said you've been hesitant to let them even know you're alive, if you don't want to meet them you don't have to" says Jade as Selena looks at Cally
"they're your friends Jadey, if you trust them I guess we have to at least try and trust them too" whispers Cally
"you sure, I'd rather you not meet them until you're ready" says Jade nuzzling them both
"we're sure, we've avoided them long enough, you make us feel safer than we have in a long time, safe enough to face them" says Selena at just more than a whisper
"dad, we'll be in our room, I want to invite Tori and Cat for an earlier time so they can spend more time here if that's ok with you" says Jade
"they're your friends Jadelyn, you're practically a fully grown adult, technically I'm no longer able to make you do anything, as if I was ever able to stop you from doing anything anyway, it's not a school night and I have never had problems with you having friends over on non school nights, so long as they can manage coming here early I have no problem with it, though you should probably know that dating Tori and Cat's twin sisters could make you less popular at school" says Daniel
"I don't care, I'm happy, happier than I ever was with Beck, besides I've spent the majority of my life with my classmates being afraid to even approach me about working on school projects together even though my average grade is way higher than most people feel I deserve, having people feel comfortable enough to mock me would be a positive change" says Jade
"I thought you liked being intimidating" asks Daniel
"here sure, because I knew at the end of the day you and mom could cut my phone off and take money out of my bank account if I go too far, which you have done in the past and I'm thankful for it, at school though even the teachers are afraid to confront me when I go out of line and my classmates refuse to work with me on school projects, there comes a point where being intimidating starts to affect my life negatively and last year it really showed itself, teachers started to stand up to me and would make me do projects by myself because they felt it was suspicious that the same four people are the only ones who will work with me, one teacher even accused me for lacking friends simply to make them look bad, I had to dare them to find classmates that would willingly work with me and they shut up knowing they'd fail to find someone outside my friend group aside from Sinjin that would be willing to work with me and he's proven to creep girls out so no teacher was willing to let him work with girls on class projects, not even to win a bet against me" says Jade
"that's fair I guess, I didn't realize you showing that you're strong and aren't afraid to stand up for yourself would ever be a problem, I'm sorry that your teachers don't seem to understand you" says Daniel
"that's one of the reasons why there was no school today, principal Eichner called a special staff meeting, to update on sensitivity training, especially towards polyamorous leaning students because there are a few as well as working out a situation where Cat does not have to come in every day if she's overly nervous about something, anyway I've done enough talking, let me know when Cat and Tori get here and have them come up" says Jade
"you could always tell them yourself, I have to go to work in twenty minutes, I won't be here" says Daniel
"oh ok" says Jade as she texts Tori and Cat
20 minutes later in Jade's room
"they aren't like I was expecting at all, when I found out that Cally is indeed alive, something I'd suspected for years but never had any proof, my dad was telling me to really think about it, as if he thought Cally might kill me or something" says Cat
"when did you find out" asks Cally
"last week, someone who 'knows' me called my house and said that I was at a mental health facility and that my parents better come get me, it was very eerie to hear someone I know say I'm somewhere I'm not, when dad got home I grilled him about it and he admitted you were real and that the call I heard wasn't the first time he'd gotten a call like that, I was upset that I'd be separated from you but mom said it was a financial issue and one they didn't want to make" says Cat
"wait you don't hate me, I've kept myself hidden because I thought you'd hate me because we are physically similar, especially when I found out you'd been signed by a record label, I know to them image is very important and 'copy cats' are usually sued" says Cally
"I've always felt like I've been missing someone, I thought maybe it was just me wanting a relationship, but after being with Tori for a day and a half, I have to admit, seeing you and hearing you, it makes me realize that you are what I was originally missing in my life, dad used to always say 'us Valentine's are always better together', and now I fully understand what he meant, as for the label I've told them that I actually have several cousins that look vaguely like me and that I won't allow them to sue 'copycats' unless there is absolutely proof that they aren't related to me so you'd have never been sued" says Cat as Cally sighs, relieved about that
"how do you feel Selena, do you feel comfortable" asks Tori
"how do you know my name, I never said my name" says Selena, a little bit scared
"the big bus crash, the one that nearly killed you and left you with occasional memory issues last year, dad was one of the cops on the scene first, he must have known you were on that bus because he told Trina that 'Tori's twin sister' was almost killed, I only knew about the conversation between dad and Trina because I was curious because he'd specifically told me to leave the room, I confronted him about it at dinner, I told him to NEVER hide you again and that he can talk openly about you being real, I've always felt off, like there was something literally missing in my life, I knew it wasn't Cat, because I knew I loved her but when I thought about life in general, there was always something missing, like someone I was supposed to be able to talk to as a kid wasn't there, turns out it was you, anyway did you guys enjoy the date with Jade" says Tori
"oh my God, the date was amazing, we've never felt calmer or safer and that's saying something, it's not because Jade's a girl like us, for the last two years we've been surrounded by female nurses and doctors at Gateway, yet not even a full day in to being around Jade and we're way way calmer" says Selena
"would you and Cally date as well and not just date Jade" asks Cat
"I don't see how we can, we have the same last name, even when Selena and I would go to get ice-cream with a social worker for Gateway people would sneer at us, even when the worker would say we weren't dating the people would always say 'that's what they always say', neither Selena nor I think we'd be accepted back I to our bio families and even if we were we don't feel like they'd want our brand of unstable to be linked to them, I mean they chose to put us up for adoption to begin with" says Cally
"I know it seems that way Cally but I've talked to dad and Tori's dad, Mr. Vega is now a single father, he can't afford to feed another mouth but he's more than willing to help Selena change her last name back if she wants to, as for mom and dad, they're financially strained, my excessive candy binges don't help them financially either but in the past week they've joked about wishing they'd put Frankie up for adoption instead of you so they're also willing to help you change your last name back too, it being you and Selena's choice is very important to them but in both cases they're still too financially strained to allow you to o live with our respective families" says Cat
"what about you, have you considered buying a house, we could all live there" asks Cally
"my insurance policy sucks, I'm trying to find a better company to deal with but it's not easy, I can't afford even to rent an apartment in LA with how little I have left after paying for my meds but it has crossed my mind as a possibility assuming you girls and Jade were willing to help maintain the house and wouldn't leave it all up to one person" says Cat
"my dad could loan me enough money for a down payment on a house, he's talked about it before but I've never had a serious reason to look, as for insurance companies I know a company that would literally kill to give you an amazing insurance policy" says Jade
"I'm paying six hundred dollars for copay and still paying for all my meds, I'm literally losing money, what benefits would this insurance company offer, as someone who needs five types of psych meds alone as well as weight management meds, I don't feel like any insurance company will give me a fair chance" says Cat
"Lane sort of let us in on how little you actually have to spend, it really took Beck down a few notches, he thought you were swimming in money and apparently he always thought that if you got a record deal that you'd be as self interested as most artists are, at least from his point of view, anyway thanks to the information Lane gave up I told my dad's friend, the guy that owns 'True American dreams' insurance about how much you're paying and how little you're getting for what you pay, he said 'get me in the door and I can guarantee that she will never have to live off a hundred dollars a week ever again', his four daughters are special needs, two of them are autistic and two of them have ADHD, they literally idolize you, the one time I offered to babysit them they were literally singing your music all the time, they felt like you represent girls like them, their father feels that if he could show them that he supports you and will give you a generous insurance policy, that they wouldn't be afraid to show the world how talented they are" says Jade
"get me numbers and what's covered and if it's better than what I have I'll switch, honestly the sooner the better and if you find a house, it has to be able to be soundproofed in at least two bedrooms and needs at least six rooms total and we'd split costs" says Cat
"I only have one play that brings in money for me, I don't have enough money to cover that much, may for groceries maybe but definitely not hydro or water bills" says Jade shocked
"then I have some news, studios have been bombarding me with requests to get you to write scripts for them, movie studios, tv studios and even Broadway have been clawing me for scripts from you, they said they'd pay a minimum of fifty grand per script" says Cat
"a representative has been in contact with your parents since Wednesday, inquiring about what medications you take to see if they could even cover you, they found out that all the medications you take currently are all covered under their highest plan, it averages three hundred dollars a month and maximum out of pocket expenses you could expect to pay is five grand, from what your mom says that's way less than what you're paying now" says Jade
"ok so here's the thing about my money, technically I have just over half a million dollars saved up but because of my crappy health insurance doesn't cover emergency hospital visits I need that money for that as one of my meds occasionally causes me to hallucinate and I go to the hospital to stay there until it subsides because I don't trust myself alone, luckily it didn't happen in August or September so I was able to save a lot of money, if this new plan is willing to cover emergency hospital visits then I can put a fair bit of it down on a house but I don't want to pay all the bills and like I said there are people willing to pay for scripts for shows, movies and plays so you're not going to be short on money, dating one girl is expensive enough, you're dating two" says Cat
"what's your issue with paying most of the bills, don't you want that control" asks Jade
"I pay my parents rent for a reason Jade, they tried to say I don't have to but it's a mental health thing for me, if I pay all the bills then I start to feel like I can start making all the rules and I like things a certain way but if I'm sharing bills with someone else then I feel more comfortable and I don't feel like I'm overly controlling" says Cat
"if I can get a few script sales under me by the time we find a house then we can split the costs but if we find a place to share first then I'll need time to catch up so if you have to pay most of the bills it won't be for long, maybe a month or two, I have traffic tickets that would need priority, I have six grand left to pay they won't let me leave the city if I'm driving, at least until its paid off" says Jade
"if the insurance policy saves me enough I'd honestly rather pay it off for you and you just contribute extra to bills until you get to the amount and I don't care how quickly or slowly you do it, it would make me feel more comfortable with it that way" says Cat
"my dad wants me to pay it off all myself, most of it is parking fines anyway, me thinking I could just quickly go in somewhere only to find out there's a massive line and by the time I'd realize it was too late to move there would already be someone behind me in line and I'd have a bunch of stuff in my cart so I wait it out until I can pay then leave with the parking ticket, he might be ok if I'm simply paying you back, he won't let anyone pay if off otherwise" says Jade as Cally has a scary thought
"wait if we're living together would we have to do anything with you like in bed" asks Cally seeming terrified about the thought
"no, you, Jade and Selena would have your area of the house and Tori and I would have ours, I'm not like that Cally, we could literally walk around the house naked and Tori would be the only one I care enough to do anything with" says Cat
"so you wouldn't even look" asks Selena surprised that Cat could have that kind of self control
"I mean yeah I'd look but I'd have no desire to do anything, not even with Jade though I would be curious about what it was like to snuggle with Jade you won't find me wanting to sleep with you, Jade or Cally, you and Cally may be really hot but I only have eyes for Tori" says Cat
"I guess that's fair but both bedrooms have to be soundproofed perfectly, if we hear a girl moan it triggers something in us and compels us to play it out ourselves" says Cally
"has this always happened or is it because of some sort of medication" asks Tori
"we weren't on medication until we were eleven and only because the hospital found out what that physical abusive doctor was doing while not providing any meds to actually help us so they put us on meds and sued that doctor so bad he literally turned himself in, the issue started when we were almost six, you could call Cally and I quite early bloomers, a doctor said we have some sort of hormone issue that affects everything, from girly stuff to height, by seven years old we were as tall and as big chested as a fifteen year old, doctors tried all sorts of hormone regulating meds, the only thing they couldn't solve was the moan trigger and it literally doesn't even have to be a sexual moan, anything even remotely close triggers us, it absolutely terrified our adoptive parents, we would go to the pier often for the rides because that's one of the only things we enjoyed doing besides swimming and laying on the beach for picnics, one time a complete weirdo got slapped for trying to flirt with some sort of pier worker and he moaned, our adoptive parents didn't think anything of it until they heard us moan, they looked down mortified, picked us up, keeping our hands behind our back and rushed us to the car and drove us home, they told us that we were no longer allowed to go to the pier without ear plugs or headphones blasting pre approved music so it never happens again, they were very embarrassed" says Cally
"so they punished you then" asks Cat assuming what happened and getting angry about it
"no, you misunderstand them just like everyone else does, they were old when they adopted us, they were mid forties, maybe late forties, all we remember is that the first of their birthdays we fully remember celebrating with them was their fifty-second birthday, they were born a week apart so once they got married they celebrated their birthdays together, everyone always assumed that because of the massive age gap between them and us that they just HAD to be molesting us or grooming us for that kind of thing, nobody ever thought that maybe they were just nice people, because they are very nice people, we couldn't have asked for better replacement family" says Cally
"then why attack them, I have to admit it scares me a little" says Tori
"trigger phrases, mom was in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's and would accidentally ask if we'd ever thought about dating boys, day after day, now you have to understand we've never been interested in boys, like ever, in fact that often transferred to adults, we tend to respond better to women talking to us or asking questions than if a man does the same thing but something about one or both of them asking us about if we think about dating boys sets us off, Jade hold Cally back, nobody could figure out what exactly it is about it that sets us off, we just know it does, man we miss them" says Selena as Jade manages to just barely hold Cally back
"you knew it would set her off but you seem unaffected, you should have warned me before you said the phrase" says Jade barely holding Cally back
"sorry Jade, your right, I thought that if the phrasing came from me she'd be able to handle the impulses, maybe there's a connection no doctor was willing to make that could save us, I hate to ask for favors so early Tori but do you think aunt Becca would be willing to help" says Selena
"Aunt Rebecca is the one person dad doesn't want me talking to because she protested dad agreeing to put you up for adoption, she kept telling him 'there's a cure, we can help, stop being so childish', had he listened to her you'd have never been put up for adoption" says Tori
"so she'll help" asks Selena as Cally calms down and snuggles Jade as an apology
"all you have to do is show up at the ER and she'll appear seemingly out of nowhere to help you" says Tori
"wait but she's a psych doctor at the hospital, why is she in the ER" asks Selena
"she has an amazing team, they don't need her to baby them, they're quite amazing believe me, aunt Becca prefers working in emergency because she can find bad cases before anyone else and get them admitted, she has a deal with the emergency staff that anyone even remotely showing genuine mental health symptoms be admitted to her team, there is also a name flag, anyone with the name Selena Jones, Selena Vega, Cally Jones or Cally Valentine get admitted without having to go through the normal process, there are more than you would think, Rebecca likely already knows you're both dating Jade, if Jade walked you into any entrance of the hospital aunt Becca would be paged and you'd both be taken to a psych ward room to be evaluated and if as Becca believes, cured" says Tori
"how could she know" asks Cally
"because dad is good at his job Cally, the moment I asked Tori out he knew you'd probably do the same thing if Gateway let you" says Cat
"I thought only identical twins experienced that sort of thing" says Cally confused
"dads theory is that all twins can experience it but identical twins just experience it stronger" says Cat
"is this proof positive he's right or something" asks Selena
"when did Jade get through on the phone, when did you guys first hear her voice" asks Tori
"two days ago after dinner, that's the only time Jade was able to get through" says Selena as Tori shakes her head in recognition of the timing
"Trina's right somehow, she said there will be psychic feedback if Cat and I kiss, we kissed quite strongly at that exact moment, it was an odd sensation, it was like there was an electric charge pulling us together, I can't explain it" says Tori as Cat blushes just thinking about it
"ok that's weird, none of the computers or phones at Gateway were working either, Debbie was saying that if it didn't come back by dinner that they wouldn't be allowed to invite Jade to take us for a date until Monday, all of a sudden Cally said she felt drawn to the computers, people kept yelling at her to stay away but the moment she got near them there was a quite loud pop, Cally flew back into the wall but everything suddenly started working, Cally doesn't seem to remember that part of the day" says Selena
"you don't remember approaching the computers" asks Cat feeling there is some reason for it that Rebecca could explain
"the last thing I remember was huddling with Selena then somehow being back in bed but I wasn't in pain and everyone looked concerned, I have no memory of it, I don't even like computers" says Cally
"ok, after dinner I'm calling aunt Becca directly, this is getting scary" says Tori
