TWs: A cliff (nothing explicit happens there, but it's a cliff), death of a loved one/graves, crying, and mentioned experiments/shooting. Stay safe :)

"What do you mean he's gone?" Edd asked Pat in the early morning.

"That's what the lady said. He turned into a pink- monster thing and just left." Pat spoke, also baffled and concerned, as he paced the room.

Matt looked up from where he was drinking milk, wide-eyed.

"Pink monster? Kind of like Tom?" Edd asked.

Pat stopped, "Yeah, exactly like Tom..."

Matt slowly sipped his drink, pretending he had no idea what they were talking about.

"Matt... was there more to that file?" Edd looked at him.

"Maybe..." The ginger mumbled.

Edd sighed, exasperated.

"What do you mean he's missing?" Tord asked Edd.

"He turned into a pink monster and busted through a window." Edd shrugged, "He shares the monster DNA with Tom from what I read in the file."

"What...?" Tord was beyond confused. He knew about Tom having monster DNA, but Pau? He had no idea.

"Do you know where he might go when he's angry or stressed?" Edd inquired.

The Norsk thought momentarily, "There is a cliff he mentioned. I think it's near the army base."

"A cliff?" Edd furrowed his eyebrows in concern.

"Ah, yeah. Pat told him many times to stay away from it, but Pau won't listen."

The taller nodded before sending texts to Pat and Matt about where Pau might be.

Pau looked at his bandaged hands as he sat at the edge of the cliff that overlooked the sea.

He then stood up, his legs shaking abit as he headed to a tall tree. He placed a palm against it to keep his balance before going forward. He stopped at a monument in the ground, going around it to see the inscription.

He slowly sat beside the grave, speaking softly, "Hello, ma'am..."

There was no response as he chuckled slightly.

"I know you hated to be called ma'am since it made you feel old, but it felt awkward calling you by your first name."

His garnet-red eyes peered over at the other grave a few feet away.

"How are you and Dr. Theresa? I know you guys were close, considering you wanted to be buried next to her..." Pau frowned as he sighed, "I should've been stronger; even Tord can handle himself better than me."

There was a chuckle behind him, "I highly doubt that."

Pau jerked up, looking at where the voice came from.

Pat stood there, looking like he hadn't slept in a month. He slowly walked forward, glancing at the grave, "Care to introduce me?"

Pau smiled abit, "This is Tord's mother, the most talented and inspiring person I know."

Pat sat down across from him, "Were you close?"

The ruffled brunet nodded, "She was my hero; she saved me every day from my idiocy."

"I know how that feels," Pat smirked as Pau rolled his eyes.

Pau frowned as he looked at his parental figure's grave, "I just wish I could've given her the hairpin..."

"Who says I didn't bring it?" Pat asked, holding it out for him.

Pau looked at his friend, grabbing the snowdrop, "You're amazing."

"Thank you..." The shorter muttered, not expecting the compliment.

The taller placed the snowdrop hairpin next to the grave, making sure it was leaning against it perfectly.

"There..." Pau smiled as he gazed at the grave tearfully.

There was a moment of silence as the two stared at the grave.

"We should get you back to the hospital," Pat spoke.

Pau grimaced, "I don't like hospitals; it reminds me too much of what happened..."

"They only want to help."

"That's what the scientists said."

Pat winced, feeling as if he was making it worse, "Sorry, I'm not sure how to make it more comfortable for you."

"I'm not sure I'll ever be comfortable in a hospital." Pau spoke, then glanced at Pat, "I'll go- if you promise to visit every day."

"Okay," Pat answered with no hesitation.

"You answered that quickly. You could say no, and I would've just sucked it up."

"As if I'm doing that." Pat rolled his eyes, "You know I care about you."

Pau stared at him, wide-eyed.

"And Tord." Pat finished, "I care about you and Tord."

Pau hummed, slightly red.

After admitting Pau to the hospital again and getting scolded by the nurses and doctors, Pau sighed as he relaxed into the hospital bed.

Edd gave Pat the letter for Pau to read before visiting Tord to update him.

Pat walked inside Pau's room, seeing that he was just staring at the ceiling.

"Bored already?" Pat smirked.

Pau glared at him, "I already told you I didn't want to be here."

Pat chuckled, sitting in the chair beside his bed, "Edd gave me something; he thought you might want to read it."

Pau quirked an eyebrow as he was handed the letter.

Reading through the letter, it was like his heart went through the five stages of grief.

"What...?" He whispered.

After all this time, Pau thought he was the one who killed his idol, but it was Lynnedslag instead.

He felt tears well up in his eye.

Why hadn't he known sooner? He should've known.

"Pau?" He felt a light touch on his back.

Pau attached himself to Pat, sobbing into his shoulder. Pat gently wrapped his hands around the taller, being careful of his injuries.

"It'll be okay, Pau... just breathe." Pat soothed.

"And that's the whole story." Arthur finished.

Larry's eyes were wide as he told his explanation, "Do you have any good news on that?"

"Uhm- oh, the Red General died." He smiled.

Larry slammed on the break, forcing them to fly forward a bit.

"Ever heard of forewarning before doing that?" Arthur frowned as he rubbed his head.

"The Red General of the Red Army- died!?" Larry yelled.

"Calm down, Lawrence. I may not be able to see, but I can hear perfectly fine." Arthur complained.

"How did he die?"

"He was shot."

"Bold move." Larry quirked an eyebrow as he changed lanes.

"Indubitably." Arthur nodded, "Where are we going, by the way?"

"Well, I can't just bring you to my flat since I live with someone, so I'm bringing you to where I work."

"And where do you work?"

"A studio."

Arthur laughed, "What? No way, you're kidding. That's way out of your criteria."

Larry huffed, "It would be if the person I worked with wasn't an inventor such as yourself."

There was a pause.

"And an idiot such as yourself."

An offended gasp came from Arthur, "I'll have you know I am one of the best scientists and inventors there ever was."

"More like you were the best- you fell off after you went into hiding." Larry shrugged.

The taller huffed, "Stupid society- I bet they don't know what future tech actually is."

"Eh, your future tech is all outdated."

"When I get back on my feet, I will build something no one has ever seen before..." Arthur crossed his arms.

Larry pulled into a parking lot, smirking at the other, "Don't you need the ability to see for that, Wyatt A.A. Turrah?"

Arthur restrained himself from tackling him.
