"We're really sorry we couldn't come for Carlisle's funeral. We wanted to visit soon after that, but you know, we couldn't travel because of Aro's surgery," Irina Denali said to me.
They were Cullens' good family friends, and they had moved to Europe a few years back.
"No, I can understand," I said, "I'm glad he's doing better now."
"Liz told me about the big plans you've to support Carlisle's charity," she said, "I want to help. Let's discuss whenever you've time on how I can help."
"Yeah sure," I said.
Yes, I did have big plans to do something for his charity, but I got so busy with other work after joining Cullen Inc. that it completely slipped out of my head.
Suddenly I was feeling very guilty.

"I'm also joining Bella during my summer break on that project," Alice smiled.
"That's nice," Irina said.
Wasn't I trying to move on too fast?

Then he leaned forward and said something to her in her ear, to which she smacked his shoulder and laughed out loud.

"Oh, they are so gonna get married one day for sure," Alice said, "I remember they had decided once that if they don't find anyone else by thirty, they're gonna get married! And well, they're hitting thirty soon, and I don't think they're going to find anyone else!"
