This chapter will be about battles.
Greninja returned to Ash. They fought together and now, Ash is ranked eighth in the Masters Eight.
The first battle was Leon vs Alain, and Leon won.
The second battle was Lance vs Diantha, and Diantha won.
The third battle was Cynthia vs Iris, and Cynthia won.
Now, it was finally time for Ash's battle.
"Alright, our first Masters Eight battle! Let's go!"
Ash's first battle was against Steven. In his team were Dracovish, Gengear and Pikachu. And he won.
Then, Leon battled against Diantha, and he won.
Ash's second battle was against Cynthia. It was a hard battle and now, they were both on their last Pokémon.
Cynthia sends up Garchomp, and Ash sends Greninja.
"Let's do this Greninja!"
"Ninja!"
Cynthia smiled.
"Garchomp, use Draco meteor!"
"Dodge it Greninja!"
Greninja skillfully dodged it.
"Now use Aerial ace!"
Greninja rushed towards Garchomp.
"Counter it with Dragon claw!"
Their attacks collied, their power was even.
"Garchomp, use Scale shot!"
It was a direct hit, but in that moment, Greninja became surrounded in a water veil and started transforming.
"We can't lose here! Greninja, let's fight with our full power!"
"Ninja!"
He transformed and got a big water shuriken on his back.
"Let's go! Use Cut!"
He ran so fast that Cynthia barely saw him.
"Wow, he is even faster now!"
She smiled.
"Garchomp, use Draco meteor!"
"Greninja, use Aerial ace to send rocks back!"
Greninja jumped and started hitting and launching rocks back towards Garchomp.
"Garchomp, use Dragon claw to crush them!"
Garchomp crushed most of the rocks, but some of them hit him anyway.
"Now Greninja, use Water shuriken!"
Greninja threw water shuriken, it was a direct hit.
"Let's finish this Greninja, USE WATER SHURIKEN!"
Greninja grabbed water shuriken from his back. It became much bigger (like in battle against Sawyer). Cyntia was in shock.
"Garchomp use Stealth rock!"
They both fired their attacks.
After some seconds, the smoke cleared, they were both standing. But then, Garchomp fainted! Ash won!
"We won."
Ash was in shock.
"WE WON!"
He ran towards Greninja and hugged him.
"I can't believe we actually won! Greninja, you were awesome!"
"Ninja"
Cynthia came to him.
"Congratulations Ash! That was a great battle. Your Greninja is incredibly strong."
"Thank you, Ms. Cynthia!"
"That is it, competitor Ash is the winner. He will be the one who will face champion Leon in the finals!"
