Chapter fourteen:
Raph has wondered into the sewer tunnels despite that he was alone in the lair.
Mikey and Donnie went out for a date.
Splinter decided to actually take on getting groceries today. He probably saw something on sale he just had to go get himself.
Raph isn't fully sure why he wandered into the tunnels though he just felt like it. He navigates the maze like tunnels with ease. He doesn't even have a destination in mind. He listens to cars going past from somewhere outside. He can't see the road from here. He can't exit through there since there is a grate covering the entrance. There is some laughter before motorbikes are heard zooming away.

He heads back home and when he enters he hears Splinters show running, Mikey humming in the kitchen, and Donnie mumbling to himself in the kitchen. He heads towards his room not surprised that the others are back. He pauses as Donnie calls out that he's got it then asks Mikey to come to his lab.
Mikey agrees and the two hurry out.
They pause as they spot Raph looking at them.
"Raph. Come with me." Donnie encourages and Splinter approaches as Donnies voice is still loud.
"What is all this racket?" Splinter questions looking slightly annoyed.
"I'll explain. Just meet me in my lab." Donnie hurries off after that with Mikey chasing after him.
Raph and Splinter share a confused look then head to Donnies lab. They find Donnie and Mikey standing at Donnies desk.
"We're just gonna wait for Casey and April." Donnie explains though Raph wants to know what's going on now.
It doesn't take long for the two humans to show up.
"Okay Donnie. What's this all about?" Raph questions now that they're all here.
Donnie clears his throat as if about to do a big presentation. "What I brought you all here was for a very important discovery I have made." He informs them keeping some suspense on what it is. "I believe I may have found a way to be able to at least retrieve whatever remains of Leo."
"Isn't that dangerous?" Casey points out in concern. "I mean what if Krang is using his dead body as a host? Or if Krang manages to escape out the way we open up?"
"I'll plan to set a trap for if Krang tries to escape. And we can trap and find a way to destroy the attached Krang parts if needed." Donnie mentions though the others aren't so convinced. "The machine isn't done yet but I want your support in this. We can technically bring Leo's body home. Don't you at least want that?!"
Casey and April exchange uncertain looks.
Splinter looks down with tears in his eyes.
Raph looks away hurt at the thought of having to see what state Leo is left in.
Mikey steps forward to speak for them. "Donnie. Maybe this isn't such a good idea. Sure we want Leo home. However there's too much danger with this. What if we undo Leo's sacrifice by Krang managing to slip past us? Even with the trap. Plus if Leo's body is being used by Krang what if Krang manages to open a portal using Leo's body? We don't want Leo's sacrifice to be for nothing."
Donnie looks down thoughtfully as he takes the information in.
They all wait to see what Donnie will decide as he takes his time to think through it all.
Meanwhile in the 2012 world...
Everyone is in the lab facing the machine that'll take Leon home.

The Rise group turn as a portal sparks into being before settling to looking like just a portal. They stare at it confused and curious about what in the world could be going on.
