AN: DUN DUN DUN! So apparently you guys liked this first chapter, so here you go chapter 2.
First Mission
After the disaster Izuku was taken to a nearby hospital. It would be 12 long hours until the recovery team could find Inko's body.
In the span of 30 minutes Izuku lost everything and everyone he cared about. His mother, his wife, his unborn child, and the happiness they would have brought.
The police wanted to get a statement on what happened, but Izuku refused to speak. Instead he would spend his time in bed staring endlessly out the hospital window.
The following day he would be visited by his subordinates who all heard what had happened. "First Lieutenant Rin was the best there was." "She always had our backs on the field."
They kept saying that but Izuku didn't want to hear it. He wanted Rin back, he wanted his mother back, but they were gone, no, taken from him.
After checking in on their captain, Izuku's subordinates dismissed themselves. A while later the door to his room once again opened up. "Captain?" It was Uraraka, walking in the hero had flowers in her hands. "I brought you some flowers, I know you don't like them that much but it's customary."
Izuku didn't say anything, "I'll just leave them here." She then sat down in the seat next to his bed. "How are you feeling sir? The nurses tell me you've been healing well." Again Izuku said nothing. "You should be released in a couple days."
Uraraka paused for a few seconds and sighed, "I see you're still refusing to talk. I'll come back later, if that's alright with you."
Saluting as she got up, Uraraka began to walk towards the door but stopped when a voice was heard, "Did you catch them?" Uraraka turned, "Did you guys catch the people responsible?"
Uraraka clenched her fists, "We caught some of the villains involved in the attack."
Izuku turned, "That's not what I asked. The ones present at the attack didn't plan it. I want to know if you caught the one who planned it."
Uraraka looked away in shame, "No…not yet."
"So you know who it is." Uraraka nodded. "Then why aren't the heroes gone after him?"
"We are, but it's not that simple," said Uraraka. "There isn't enough evidence to link him directly to the attacks."
"Not enough?" Izuku groaned in pain as he turned. "He killed dozens last night. He killed my mother, my wife, and my unborn child. You need to bring this dirtbag in, now!"
With nothing else to say Uraraka sadly bowed, "I promise you Captain, the people responsible for this won't get away with it. I swear, we just need time."
Calming himself down, Izuku nodded, "Fine…and I'm sorry, I shouldn't have raised my voice."
"No sir, you have every right to be angry." Uraraka lifted her head. "Lieutenant Rin was a good friend to me. We still kept in contact on occasion, I'll miss her."
"Yeah, so will I." With that Uraraka took her leave. Now alone Izuku could do nothing but mourn.
Once he was cleared Izuku was finally discharged from the hospital and went home. Thanks to their line of work both Rin and Izuku made well above the average compared to the typical SDF personale. After Izuku proposed, the two bought a house, one where they could have started a family together.
But that dream was gone. Walking up to the front door, Izuku opened it and was greeted by a dark room. "I'm home." he said walking in. Making it to the living room Izuku saw clothes scattered all over the sofa. Izuku smiled as he remembered, it was Rin, she couldn't decide on what to wear for that night and tried on virtually everything she had.
Izuku then looked over to the kitchen, where he saw two cups still on the table. One was green while the other was purple, it was from that morning. Rin wouldn't drink coffee, she much preferred tea, but it had to be a special type of leaf or else she would refuse to drink anything else. It drove their superior officers mad since without it she would refuse to even train.
He then made it to their bedroom, with so many memories, Rin would watch old school movies which Izuku didn't really enjoy but he still watched them. It was here where Izuku took care of Rin when she was injured in combat, where Rin would comfort Izuku when he had nightmares of the past.
But that was gone, she was gone. Sitting down on the bed he could still smell the faint aroma of Rin's perfume. He laughed, "She sprayed it on the bed again…" his laugh soon stopped and turned to tears.
Hanging his head the tears continued to fall, "I'm so sorry. It should have been me…"
Two Weeks Later
It took two weeks to plan and coordinate Rin's funeral. As she was a high ranking officer she was given the full honors of one. Members of her squad came all dressed in uniform to bid their final farewell to their comrade.
Izuku was also dressed in his uniform but the look on his face spoke more words than he could ever mutter. It was clear to everyone that he wasn't sleeping, the dark lines under his eyes gave it away. It was also clear that he wasn't eating properly, his face looked thinner. But most importantly, the spark in his eyes was gone.
As they lowered Rin's body her squad presented their weapons and fired. 7 squad mates fired 3 shots each. On the last volley Rin's body reached the bottom. Izuku watched as they began to fill the hole.
By the end of it Izuku now stood beside the headstone that read, "First Lieutenant Rin, Special Forces Group First Squad. May the battlefield above welcome you."
One by one the invited guests left, but Izuku remained. "Captain Midoriya…" Izuku turned to find Uraraka.
"What do you want?" Izuku asked, his voice cold and empty.
"I wanted you to hear it from me before anywhere else, but we caught him. The man responsible, we have him in custody." Izuku's eyes widened.
"Really!?" He asked, excited by the news. "Who was it?"
Uraraka nodded, "Kai Chisaki, leader of the Yakuza, also goes by Overhaul. A hero team picked him up after we gathered enough evidence. He'll be going away forever."
Tears ran down Izuku's face as he grabbed Uraraka by her suit jacket, "Thank you…you don't know what this means to me."
Now Uraraka had tears running down her face, "I told you didn't I, we heroes always get stuff done."
"So what happens next? Will there be a trial?" Izuku asked.
"Yes, we have everything we need to prove our case. Expect to hear about his arrest and trial on the news soon." Wiping away the tears, Uraraka looked at Izuku. "Don't lose hope Captain, we'll get him."
4 Months Later
"Not Guilty." Was the headline of every news station. Chisaki smiled at the cameras as he walked out the courtroom with his lawyers by his side.
Just then a TV remote crashed into the screen, shattering the panel. It was Izuku, his face so filled with anger, "How!? How could this have happened!? Uraraka said they had everything they needed!"
Just then Izuku's phone began to ring, he looked at the caller ID and picked up. "Captain, I'm sorry…" It was Uraraka.
"What happened? You said you'd get him." Izuku said, as he clenched his fist.
"I don't know the details yet but it appears that his lawyer managed to convince enough of the jury that he wasn't the one behind it all." Uraraka said, as her voice became small. "I'm sorry Captain."
"What about his past crimes? He did some terrible stuff in the past right, you can get him for that, for anything right?" Izuku asked, desperate for a way.
"That could take years, all the evidence we had won't be admissible in the new trial. He'd have to commit the crime again in order to make that happen." Upon hearing that, Izuku's heart sank.
"You promised me Uraraka, that the people responsible will face justice. You lied to me, gave me hope that it would happen." Izuku clenched his hand so hard that it began to bleed.
Uraraka stayed quiet for a few seconds, "I-I'm sorry…"
"Yeah, so am I…Sorry that I ever believed in you heroes." with that Izuku hung up. He tossed his phone onto the sofa and walked over to the kitchen counter. Opening up the cabinet he saw several bottles of liquor. Reaching in he grabbed one and went to drown his sorrow away.
Several hours had passed and Izuku was drunk, apparent by the bottles around him. Shuffling around he wanted another drink but noticed only empty bottles. "I-I should get some more…" he said, slurring his words. Barely able to stand he managed to make it to the living room.
He looked at his keys but decided against it, instead he grabbed his wallet and jacket. Heading out he began to walk down the street, it was a busy Friday night so there were a lot of people.
After walking a few blocks Izuku found a convenience store. There he picked up another case of beer and walked back home.
But as he walked he suddenly heard the sounds of someone yelling for help coming from an alley. Others could hear it but chose to ignore it and continued to walk. "Might as well check it out…" he said, stumbling.
Just down the alley there were 4 men surrounding a woman. "Help! Help! Anyone!" She cried out.
"No one is going to come sweetie." A man said with a twisted smile. "It's just us and little old you." The man then pinned the woman against the wall. "Don't worry, this isn't my first time doing this. So let's just have some fun."
The woman used her quirk and immediately a bright light shined from her hair. The men covered their eyes, "Damn it!"
Seeing a chance to escape, the woman began to run, "Don't let her get away."
The men desperately felt around for the woman but thanks to her quirk they couldn't see anything.
The woman ran down the alley but just as she was going to turn the corner vines wrapped themselves around her. They covered her mouth to prevent her from screaming, "Now now. That wasn't very nice. We were just about to have our fun." It was the same man.
Pulling the woman back she was dragged until once again she was pinned on the wall. "I like it when my meal struggles, it makes things more exciting."
Just as the man was going to assault this woman something came flying at the villain, hitting him right on the side of the head, "What the…"
He watched as the object rolled to a stop revealing that it was a beer can. "I suggest you leave her alone." Said Izuku as he held another beer can.
All four men turned to find Izuku coming out of the shadow of the alley, "Who the hell is this bozo?" One asked.
"A dead man that's who he is." Said the man holding his now bleeding head. "Kill him!"
The other three men all rushed Izuku, they tried to punch him but even in his inebriated state Izuku was still a fighter.
Grabbing the wrist of one of the men he twisted it back forcing them to turn around. A loud pop sound was heard as Izuku kicked the man towards another.
Colliding Izuku focused on the third man, closing the distance he managed to grab him by the shirt. Lifting him high into the air Izuku proceeded to slam his body onto the concrete.
But just as Izuku was looking up vines wrapped themselves around his body. "You got some skill, but you should have used your quirk." The man then tightened his grip on Izuku, causing him to grunt out in pain.
The other men got up as Izuku was thrown to the floor. "You guys deal with him, while I have a bit of fun." The man then went back to the woman.
While on the floor Izuku was being kicked repeatedly in the chest, abdomen, and face. Watching from the floor Izuku could see the man assaulting the woman. Seeing this Izuku began to feel his anger boil, he thought about his dead mother, his wife, and unborn kid. He thought about what the villain said, that he's done this before and was now doing the same thing.
It was at this moment Izuku finally realized that people like him were the reason why the ones he loved are gone. The heroes couldn't help him, prison reform didn't help him, but there was one thing that would benefit all.
Letting out a loud roar Izuku pushed the men off of him and got to his feet. As one was stunned Izuku managed to get behind him and place him in a choke hold.
With blood running down his nose and an expression of a mad man on his face, Izuku squeezed hard, snapping the man's neck.
A loud crack noise was heard, the others stopped and watched as the body fell to the ground. They then all looked at Izuku, "Y-You killed him, you bastard!"
The other two men ran at Izuku, one had the power to turn his fingernails sharp. He slashed down but Izuku dodged, and managed to grab his arm before spinning around and throwing him towards the other man.
Stabbing his friend in the chest the man then had his arm pulled and while his nails were still sharpened impaled underneath the chin and directly into his own skull.
Blood ran down the man's arm as he fell dead onto the ground. Now it was only the man with the chest wound and the vine quirk user. "T-This guy is crazy!" Said the man with the chest wound.
"Don't start running yet!" Yelled the quirk user. "You know martial arts right, kick his ass."
Scared, the man nervously walked towards Izuku but as he approached a can was kicked in his direction.
The man dodged but in that split second he took his eyes off Izuku, that's when he pounced. Izuku ran towards the man but as he did he reached down and grabbed a knife he had stashed away on his leg.
The man barely had enough time to turn when the blade embedded itself into his chest. The man let out a gasp as Izuku twisted the knife causing further damage.
Pulling the knife out Izuku then looked at the quirked man. With blood splattered over his face Izuku pointed his knife, "You…how many times have you done this?"
The man stepped back in fear but smiled "W-Who cares. You think just by killing those useless guys is enough to make me stop?"
With a quick motion Izuku threw the knife at the man, stabbing him in the thigh. Letting out a scream the man fell back and watched as blood ran down his leg. "Fuck! You fucker!"
Walking towards the man, now unable to use his quirk due to the pain. While crying the man saw Izuku stop in front of him. He then reached out, grabbed the knife and pulled it out. "How many times have you gotten away with this?"
Still in agony the man refused to answer, "Fine." Izuku said, flipping the knife in the air and catching it, blade side down. Pressing it against the man's kneecap, Izuku looked at him once again, "How many times?"
"Fuck you." Said the man.
Izuku sighed and pressed the knife down, stabbing the man in the kneecap. Screaming out in pain the man grunted, "F-Fifteen times…15 times I've done this. Been caught twice by the heroes but let go."
"15 times…15 people's lives that you ruined. 15 times heroes should have thrown you in jail forever." Izuku looked right into the man's eyes. "But no more, you won't hurt anymore ever again."
The man watched as Izuku pulled out the knife, "N-No, please. I don't want to die…"
But Izuku ignored him and stabbed him in the forehead, killing him instantly. Without saying another word Izuku got up, he turned to find the woman still there, fear in her eyes. "Leave,"
The woman stepped back in fear, she could see the blade in his hand and the blood dripping from it but couldn't see Izuku's face due to the darkness of the alley. "W-Who are you?"
Turning his back on the woman, Izuku put the knife away, "Nobody important." With that he walked away leaving the woman behind.
A few minutes had gone by since Izuku had disappeared, now the scene was swarming with cops and heroes. The woman was with an officer getting a statement while the heroes looked around at the crime scene. "Hell of a mess." a detective said.
"Naomasa, what do we have?" The detective turned to find a man with black hair, a scarf, and the tiredest looking face ever.
"EraserHead or should I call you Aizawa. Regardless, it's been a while." Naomasa said as the hero walked towards him. "We got four victims, each with a stab wound."
The hero looked at the crime scene, "Who's the girl?"
"Girl says that she was about to be assaulted by these guy and someone else came along and rescued her." explained Naomasa.
"Another hero?" asked Eraserhead.
Naomasa shook his head, "No, the victim says it was a random guy. And here's the kicker, whoever did this didn't use their quirk."
That bit of information peaked Eraserhead's interest, "Interesting. Did she get a look at this individual?"
"Unfortunately no, the alley was too dark to see, and any light came from behind causing a shadow to fall over the man." Naomasa took out a notebook. "Fortunately it looks like she is telling the truth. But check this out, not a single strand of DNA can be found not already matching with those present. And no knife either."
"This person knew what they were doing." Aizawa deduced. "So we have four dead people, and no leads."
"Seems like it." Aizawa sighed. "It's going to be one of those nights isn't it."
With Izuku
Making it back to his home Izuku immediately grabbed the bloody knife and began to clean it. As he washed the blood off the metal he remembered the blood on his face.
After submerging the knife in bleach Izuku went to take a shower. There he let the water run down his face and body. "Scum like that shouldn't have been on the street for so long. Fucken heroes, with their rules. If only they got rid of the problem instead of locking it away…maybe then people wouldn't have to suffer. Maybe Rin would still be alive."
That's when everything became clear to Izuku, "If they won't do it, then I will. I promise you Rin, the man responsible for your death and Mom's will not live to the end of this year. But it won't be easy, no, I'll make him suffer! I'll tear down his world, just like he did mine! I'll burn everything he's ever cared about. And anyone who gets in my way…I'll kill them too."
Unknown Location
Overhaul was thrilled, he had just evaded jail time and was now enjoying his life. Sitting down on the sofa he grabbed a drink, "Now this is more like it." He said, removing a mask from his face.
"Enjoying yourself?" Asked another person walking into the room.
Overhaul smiled, "Ah Shigaraki, my friend. Please, have a seat. Let me pour you a drink."
Shigaraki, also known as the leader of the League of Villains, sat down across from Overhaul. Grabbing the bottle Overhaul poured Shigaraki a drink, "I owe you a lot. Without your…donations….I would be in jail by now. Tell me, how did you do it?"
"It's easy when you bribe the entire jury. And the judge." Shigaraki said as he drank. "Everyone has a price, it's how much that matters."
"So what happens now?" Overhaul asked. "Do we go on as planned?"
Shigaraki nodded, "Yes, nothing has changed. As long as we get what we want, that is. Speaking of which, how's development coming?"
"It's nearly complete. The effects are nearly permanent. However, there are still some kinks that need to be worked out." Overhaul explained.
"And you will work those out, in due time." Said Shigaraki. "We are so close to achieving our goals, and no one will stop us."
Special Forces Base of Operations, The Next Day
Wearing his uniform Izuku walked onto the base, he hadn't been seen in over a year and now he was back. "I need to speak to the general." He said to the gate.
After seeing that Izuku was the captain of the special forces unit a car was sent to take him. After a short ride he walked into the command center, there he made his way towards the office of said general.
Making it to the door Izuku knocked, "Come in." A voice said.
Entering, Izuku was greeted by a woman sitting behind the desk who was looking down and writing. She had short black hair and green colored eyes, "If this is about the report, I'm working on it."
"Still working on those damn reports, huh general." Izuku said, jokingly. "Rin did say you were going to work yourself to death."
The general's eyes widened, she looked up and quickly got up from her seat. "Captain…"
Izuku saluted, "Ma'am."
The general clenched her fist and walked over to Izuku. She inspected him, "You look…"
"Tired Ma'am, just….tired." Izuku said.
The general nodded, "I see that. At ease captain. Please, sit." The general went back to her desk as Izuku sat in the chair in front of her. "I heard what happened to your mother and First Lieutenant Rin, my condolences."
"Thank you ma'am…" but as Izuku said that the captain raised an eyebrow. "Oh sorry, thank you Ayano. It means a lot coming from you."
"Rin was the best of us. Shame her life was cut short." General Ayano said. "And drop the formalities with me, we've known each other since basic, there's no need for them. I only got this position because I was good at tasking and managing. Never was the best marksman."
Izuku smirked, "True, I still remember the incident in basic."
Ayano rolled her eyes, "Don't remind me." She laughed for a bit before putting on a more serious look. "I know you didn't come here just to reminisce."
Izuku nodded, "You're right." Getting up Izuku reached into his jacket and pulled out a letter. "I'm officially retiring." He slid the letter on Ayano's desk. "I-I don't think I can do this again. My mind is a mess after what happened, and honestly, I don't think I'll ever get better."
Ayano sighed, "After what happened, I understand. It's going to mean more paperwork for me, but I'll accept it." She then smiled at Izuku, "So what are you planning on doing now?"
"Well, I was thinking of hunting." Izuku explained. "I never tried it, but I think with my skills it should be fine."
"Hunting huh. My father used to do that up in the mountains. Never could catch anything." Ayano got up from her seat and Izuku followed. "Alright Captain Midoriya, this will be my final order to you."
Izuku stood in attention, "Yes ma'am!"
Ayano put on her best commander face, "I hereby order you to live life at its fullest. And whatever you choose to do later, know that you will always have a home here. Do I make myself clear?"
Izuku saluted. "Yes ma'am!"
The serious look on Ayano softened. Just then he felt Ayano's arms wrap themselves around his body. "Don't be a stranger, make sure to come visit us."
"I will." Izuku said, hugging her back. After a few moments Izuku broke the hug. "I should say goodbye to the squad, are they on base?"
Ayano nodded, "They are, go, take all the time you need. Oh and remember to grab your gear before you leave."
With that done Izuku walked out of Ayano's office, sitting back down the general let out a sigh. "That guy, not too long ago he lost everything. But that look in his eyes, they were so filled with anger. He's planning something." She turned her chair around and looked at a photo of the two of them in basic training. "Midoriya, I hope whatever it is you do, you're able to find peace."
After going to his squad to say goodbye Izuku made his way towards the locker area. He picked up his bag which was full of his gear and went over to Rin's. After several minutes Izuku walked out with two large duffle bags. Normally the guards would inspect everything that left the base but since they knew who Izuku was they let him pass without checking.
Now back home Izuku went to the bedroom and tossed the bags onto the bed. Opening his he removed the clothes from the top and exposed several guns including a Colt M4A1 SOPMOD Block I rilfle, a Heckler & Koch HK416, a custom FN SCAR-L, two USP semi-automatic pistols of the tactical variant, flashbangs, grenades, body armor, and a shit ton of ammo boxes.
He then went towards the second duffle bag and slowly opened it up. Revealing the barrel of a M2010 sniper rifle. This was his, with that sniper rifle Izuku completed countless missions and was always kept in tip top shape. Or as he would name it, Shinigami.
Running his fingers across the barrel Izuku thought back to his wife, "One last mission."
Grabbing a case from underneath the bed, Izuku placed the rifle in said case. He didn't need her right now, but her time would come.
Right now Izuku needed to find some people. Taking down some old paintings on the wall, Izuku placed up a massive pin board. Dead center he placed a picture of Overhaul. "If I want the big final boss, I'll have to take care of some side quests first. I need names…and I know just how to get them."
Alley, Unknown City, Night
Back in the alley of the city is where the light nor heroes dare enter, is where the city's trash liked to hang out.
One of these places was a bar, named The Rust. Yakuza members and people who sold drugs would often come here to drink.
Inside the bar was full of rough looking individuals, that's when someone opened the door that made the entire bar, all 10 people fell silent.
The person wore a black trench coat with a hoodie covering their head and somewhat blocking his face. Ignoring everyone, the person went to sit at the counter. The bartender walked over, "What can I get you?"
"Give me some Yamazaki." The bartender nodded and turned around. Grabbing the bottle he got ice and began to pour it into a glass. Filling it about 1/4th of the way he slid it across the counter and towards the man. "Thanks."
Taking a sip the man raised the glass, "Keep them coming boss."
As he enjoyed his drink someone came up behind him, "Hey you, haven't seen you here before." It was a tall, skinny looking man whose face looked like a wolf. "Who are you?"
Grabbing another drink the man ignored the wolf face and kept drinking. "Hey! I asked you a question." The wolf face then reached out and grabbed the man by the shoulder.
But as he did a barely audible sound was heard, followed by the sound of something metal hitting the floor.
The wolf face looked down to find blood running down his chest, "What the…" before long his eyes rolled, his knees gave out causing him to fall onto the floor, dead.
Finishing his drink the man turned around and took off his hood, it was Izuku. "So I'm going to give you all a chance. You are all scum, pieces of trash that should have been thrown away years ago. Yet here you are, and I'm going to make sure you fucks die. So here's what I'm proposing, I want to know where I can find your boss." The room fell silent.
"Who the hell do you think you are!" Yelled someone slamming his hand onto the table and getting up angrily. But before he could even move from where he stood a bullet went through his forehead, killing him instantly.
"Wrong answer." Said Izuku pointing his guns at the others. "Anyone else?"
"Your punk ass really thinks you can just get away with this!?" Another person in the bar asked. "We work for…"
But once again the sound of a casing hitting the floor was heard, followed by a loud thump. Blood ran down the man's head as he laid on the ground. "I'm well aware about who you work for, and frankly, I don't give a shit. I want to know where they are."
Again the room fell silent, "Alright, if that's how we're going to play it."
All of the bar patrons attacked Izuku. Quirks activated and bullets started flying. Outside, the occasional muzzle flash illuminated the windows showing the outlines of those inside.
It took a minute for quirks to stop and the bullets to end. Back inside Izuku was breathing heavily, holding an empty gun in his hand he reached into his pocket and reloaded. Blood ran down his arm, cuts appeared on his face, and several puncture wounds were apparent on his body. "Alright…maybe…you can answer me…" he said, stepping over the bodies of the villains and walking out of the front door.
Outside, one of the villains was crawling away, blood trailing as he groaned in pain. While trying to escape Izuku's shadow fell over him, the villain tried to turn around but before he could Izuku kicked him in the ribs.
Spitting out blood the villain reeled in pain, "Y-You fucker!"
"Tell me where I can find your boss." Izuku said, his voice calm. But still, the man refused to answer. Looking down, Izuku saw the villain's hand.
Lifting his foot slightly he stomped down hard right on the man's hand. A loud crunching noise was heard followed by painful screams. "You still have another hand I can break, so start talking."
The man held up his other hand, "Okay! Okay, I'll talk! I work under one of the eight bullets! They are the lower level of the Yakuza family. The leader, Overhaul, has two people who work directly under him. I don't know where to find them, they find us whenever there's a job."
Izuku lifted his foot, "That's not good enough." He then brought it down on the man's other hand, breaking it. "I need a location."
The man groaned in pain, "T-Toshima! I heard they have warehouses there!"
"Toshima…" Izuku lifted his foot. "It's not much to go on but it'll do."
"Does that mean I can go?" The man asked, still on the floor.
"No." Izuku didn't even hesitate as he pointed his gun and fired. With everyone now taken care of, Izuku had some quick clean up to do. Grabbing the body outside, Izuku tossed it back inside the bar. Reaching over the counter he began to pour the liquor out all over the bar. Once that was over Izuku went to the back and found a kitchen.
Several stoves lined the wall meaning one thing, gas. Using the butt of his gun Izuku broke off the safety seals and let the gas out.
He then walked back to the main floor and towards the entrance. He opened the door but just as he was going through he stopped. Reaching into his jacket pocket Izuku pulled out a lighter. Lighting it, the flame flickered in the air, Izuku looked at it before looking at the mess behind him. "The big boss won't show up for something like this, but he will be informed. Make enough noise and I'm bound to draw him out."
Walking through the door Izuku began to walk away, as he did however, he tossed the lighter behind him and into the bar. Immediately the flame met the alcohol and ignited. The flames slowly spread throughout the building. As soon as the fire was in range the gas lines Izuku broke, the entire building exploded leaving nothing but flames.
It wasn't long before the fire fighters and heroes arrived, one of them being Uraraka and Tsu. Arriving just as the fire was out the two talked to the fire fighters, "How did this start?"
"Someone dumped a whole lot of alcohol on the floor and set it alight. Fire reached a gas line and well, you can see the rest." Answered the fire fighter. "We also have the burned remains of several people."
"Ribbit, someone did this on purpose." Tsu said. "This part of the city, it's known to have Yakuza connections. Could this have been a hit of some kind?"
"Doubt it." Said the fire fighter. "According to some locals this entire city is controlled by one group. And no one dares come into their turf, not even other gangs. This was just one of their hangout sights for the grunts."
That bit of information caught Uraraka's attention, "Yakuza…." She then looked at the black tarps covering certain parts of the building floor. "How many?"
"From what we can tell, at least 6, but there's evidence of more people. Guess whoever did this did you guys a favor" The firefighter said as he was packing everything up, "Locals here say the bar was filled with drug dealers and villains. They were nothing but trash. Guess someone got to them before you heroes could."
As the two heroes watched the investigators arrive Uraraka couldn't help but think about Izuku. 'Maybe…I should go check on him, see how he's doing. I also need to apologize for failing him and Rin.'
AN: Izuku has now started his crusade against those who took those who he loved. How many bodies will he leave behind? Will he find closure? Find out next time!
