The next day has arrived and Kaito was woken up by a knock on the door of the vault.
"Oh right... Today's the day..."
Kaito went to the door and saw Hina already welcoming their guests. The two guests were wearing a suit and sunglasses like a spy from any spy movies, on the middle was a girl about the same age as Kaito. She was wearing a kimono and her long hair was tied into a ponytail.
"Good morning, Master Kaito." The girl said with a cheerful smile. "Today's the day, are you ready?"
Kaito sighed and looked at the command spell at his hand. "Even if I was trained to prepare, thinking about it makes me tremble."
The girl held Kaito's hand and then proceeds to hug him. "It will be fine, I promise that I wil support you through and through."
"Thank you, Haru..."
Watanabe Haru, a childhood friend of Kaito. Along with Kaito, they were both trained together to prepare for the upcoming Holy Grail War. She is what Kaito thought of as a princess, she is youngest daughter of the current Prime Minister of Japan, but despite that she dedicated herself in hardwork to ensure that Asia would win in the war.
"Let's go now, father is waiting for the two of you."
As the three left the basemet, the sight of their house shocked Kaito and Hina.
"Where's mom's body..?" Hina cried as she desperately tried to look for their mother's body, but it was futile since everything in their house was gone.
"When we got here everything was destroyed, so I sent asked some of my men to clean the entire premise, but not a single trace of your mother's body was found..." Haru replied with a melancholic tone.
Kaito went toward Hina and he patted her head to ease her pain, even if he too wants to let out the pain that accumalated inside, he did his best to not reveal his pain, just so he could remaim strong in front of his little sister.
"Haru, do you know which continent attacked us..?" Kaito already had a guess on which continent was it, but he needed to hear Haru's report to ensure his doubts.
"Upon investigation, we found out that the planes that were used were the same type of planes used in North America– USA."
"North America..." Kaito's guess was right, we was bewildered when he heard that North America attacked them, but he remained his composure. "I believe this is the 5th right?"
"The 6th to be exact..." Haru replied in a serious yet calm tone. "1st was Syria, then India, next China, after that Indonesia, 5th is Singapore, then right now Japan."
Kaito could only clenched his fist as he heard all the Asian countries that North America attacked, he could only heave a heavy sigh fo calm himself down which worked but his thoughts was still filled with anger.
"I promise to avenge the death of our people..." He looked one last time at their house and left with Hina and Haru with a sorrowful look.
The three were now riding to the palace in a limbo, as they were traveling Haru pulled out a list of documents to report. "Do you want to hear today's report of the other continent?"
"Sure..."
"From the reports of our spy: to this day we stil don't know the Masters of Africa, South America, and Ocenia. But North America and Europe are very vocal of their Masters."
"North America and Europe... Can you remind me of their Masters again?"
"First up the Master of Europe. Name: Colette De La Fontaine. She is 14 years old, and the daughter of a prestigious family in France."
"14 years old..? Isn't she a bit young? Then taking her down would be easy."
"I wish that you wouldn't underestimate her, Master Kaito. Colette is a prodigy and a genuis, she excels at the top of her class and immediately graduated college at the age of 7. Not only that but there are reports from our spy that she leads the main science investigion branch of Europe. And these are not her only achievements."
"Prodigy, smart, cunning... Just hearing her achievements scares me, if she knows how to lead an army then Europe is at an advantage."
"Yes..." Haru replied as she flip the next page of the report. "When it comes to summoning servants, Europe has the best of the best... Greek, Norse, Romans, and many more... If she manage to get a servant like Heracles, Siegfried, or even a Knight of the Round Table, then they can easily snatch the win."
"Are there any signs of them attacking us soon?"
"Not likely, Europe hasn't attacked a single country. They might be preparing instead of attacking, hence why their army is strong."
"What about North America?"
"Unlike Europe North America is doing their best to weaken their enemy as much as possible. The Master of North America: Jake Tobias is unlike the Master of Europe. He is 23 years old, his charisma is unparrelled and his hunger for power is incomparable. You have to remember he is our biggest threat."
Jake Tobias... You killed my family; you killed my people... I won't forgive you no matter what.
The three after a long journey has finally arrived to the palace where Haru and her family lives in.
Kaito looks at the palace with a massive smile on his face, it was nostalgic for him to see the palace again, for he has not come here in a long time now.
"Things never change huh? This palace that your father has built is always a sight to see."
"You know, you can always live here with us right? I remember telling you that everyday." Haru replied with a pout on her face.
Kaito patted the head of his sister and looked at Haru with a smile. "Well, living in a palace is not something I can get used too..."
"Whatever..." Haru replied coldly. "Come, everyone is waiting inside."
"Everyone?" Kaito was confused at Haru's statement, but she only looked at Kaito with a smile and blinked at him as she pulls the two of them to the palace.
She brought them outside the office of her father— the Prime Minister. "I'll play with Hina, you can go meet my father and everybody else. Come on Hina, let's go to the playground."
Hina followed Haru happily, Kaito watched the two walk away with a smile on their faces. "Those two are always inseperable..." He looked at the door of the Prime Minister's office and knocked on it.
"Is that you Kaito?" The Prime Minister asked inside his office. "You can come in."
Kaito entered the room and saw the Prime Minister and a handsome man with long white hair and was wearing white robe, he was carrying a staff and pink flowers were all round him.
Seeing the man Kaito immediately recognize who it was, just from the presence of the man he knew that it was the same man that was mentioned in the book he read last night.
"You're the Magus of Flowers, Merlin..."
"Correct! Congratulation Master of Asia, I'm glad you knew who I was." Merlin smiled and patted Kaito on the shoulder. "Anyway, are you ready?"
Kaito looked at the Prime Minister and he looked at Kaito with a smile and just simply nodded.
"Master of Asia: Hoshikawa Kaito, today will be the day you will become a Master that you've been training for. Will you accept the offer and represent your continent?"
Kaito looked at the floor upon hearing Merlin's question. He trained his entire life preparing to be a Master, yet he still feels a bit of fear knowing the he could possibly die in the battlefield.
If I die... Who would take care of Hina..? Who would stop her and Haru from crying..?
"Kaito, know that everyone right here fully trust your capability as the Master of Asia." The Prime Minister spoke with a pleased smile.
"Everyone..?" Kaito confused at what the Prime Minister said.
"Don't forget about us!" A man suddenly spoke from nowhere, hearing the voice Kaito immediately knew who it was.
He looked above the table where the Prime Minister was at and saw the many screens above it.
Om the screens were Presidents and representatives of every asian country except for Russia. The man who spoke before was the current President of China, he smiled at Haruki and said to him. "You are the Master of Asia, you have the blood and spirit of a proud warrior. Knowing who you are, we believe that you will win this war."
The rest of the representatives agreed to the remarks of the President of China, and the Prime Minister went toward Haruki and hugged him.
"Kaito, you're like a son to me already... Your father and I were the bestest friends, just know that Haru, Hina, and I will always be there for you."
Kaito smiled in joy as he heard what the Prime Minister said. "Thank you uncle Kenji, I promise that I will make you proud."
After hugging the Prime Minister– Watanabe Kenji, Kaito looked at Merlin and shooked his hand. "I'm ready!"
