3 months have passed since Ben arrived in this world. After his successful 1st job, Ben and Wendy kept getting the same job. They were now in charge of hunting for the guild.

Ben didn't have any problem with hunting jobs. Sure it started to get boring, but it's also training. Ben and Wendy could use hunting to train their magic. Ben also started to use magic during his hunting battle. But his knowledge of magic was still shallow, so he needed to learn more.

"Gramps, does our guild have a library?" Ben asked Roubaul.

"Why do you ask?" Roubaul questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"My knowledge about magic is not that good, so I want to learn more. Well, actually the only thing I know is the basics of magic and my Dragon Slayer magic." Ben told him.

"So you want to know more about magic? Sure." Roubaul remarked.

He snapped his fingers and suddenly a very thick book appeared between them. The book was almost as high as Ben when he sat down. He stood up to read the title and then frowned.

"Everything That You Need To Know About Magic by The Great Roubaul?" Ben asked.

"Yeah, it's a book I wrote myself after gathering a lot of knowledge about magic. You can say that our guild library is none other than me, ha ha ha ha-" Roubaul laughed with a smug expression on his face.

"Did you need to make it this thick?" Ben asked him.

"Hey now, that book has detailed explanations and my own view, something that you'll rarely find in other books, so you need to be grateful." Roubaul muttered.

"Well then thanks. How long can I borrow it?" Ben asked.

"As long as you want. I have a few copies of it after all. Just don't leave the village with it!" Roubaul hollered.

"Can I take it to where I train with Wendy?" Ben questioned.

"No." Roubaul shook his head.

Ben sighed.

"Okay then. Ah Gramps, can you help us in the training ground? We have a agenda that needs your help." Ben stated.

"Okay." Roubaul agreed.

Ben took the thick book to his house and left it there to train. He will read it when he rests and before he goes to sleep. It will probably take a few months to finish the book, so he was going to read it slowly.

Ben trained with Wendy in their usual spot, on the other side of the village. They weren't going on jobs today as their goal was to train. Today they were going to practice their spells and fighting skills by sparring.

"You kids really want to make these old bones work hard, don't you?" Roubaul asked.

"You're just the referee, not a fighter." Ben retorted.

Roubaul was there to act as the referee and prevent unwanted things.

"Are you ready?" He asked.

"Yes." Wendy and Ben nodded.

"Then, let's start." Roubaul said.

Ben and Wendy have a 10 meter distance between them. Roubaul looked at Ben and Wendy, and then he started the sparring match.

"Sky Dragon Roar!" Wendy yelled.

She used her roar to attack Ben immediately. He could jump to the side and dodge, but he wanted to test his spell's power too. A magic circle formed in front of him, then his fist glowed with yellow light as he pulled it to the side.

"Sun Dragon Light Cannon!" Ben punched the magic circle and a yellow light blast was generated. The light blast destroyed the roar and it still had some power left. The light blast headed towards Wendy, but she moved to the side and dodged it.

'I still used too much power. I intended to only destroy her roar and make the attacks cancel each other out, but I still used too much magic power. My control is still not good enough.' Ben thought.

Ben had the potential to overwhelm Wendy's roar, but he didn't do it. He didn't want to destroy Wendy's confidence by defeating her with a single attack. Besides, he was also training to control his magic power and senses. He could sense the power behind Wendy's roar and tried to use the same amount of power, but he failed.

Roubaul realized this and scoffed. He knew Ben had good intentions, but he was underestimating Wendy. She won't be depressed despite being much weaker than Ben.

"Ben nii-san, you should use your full power. I know you're holding back to not hurt me, but I am stronger than you think. Please don't underestimate me." Wendy insisted.

"Ha ha ha Ben-boy, she is right. You shouldn't underestimate her. Instead of raising her confidence, you need to make her want to chase you. Be her goal so she will try to be as strong as you or even stronger." Roubaul stated.

"...I want to train my magic control, but if that is what you want, then I won't hold back. Don't get discouraged, Wendy!" Ben exclaimed.

"I won't." Wendy told him.

She then prepared an attack again. She spread her hands and a big magic circle appeared below her. Then a wind barrier appeared around them and pushed Ben inwards.

"She wants to cut off my escape route, huh? A smart, but not wise move." Ben grinned.

"Dragon Slayer Secret Art! Shattering Light Sky Drill!" Wendy yelled.

She moved her hands counter clock-wise. She generated a strong wind blast, like her roar, but it was denser and stronger. The wind blast headed towards Ben at a high speed and he grinned. Ben took a deep breath and a magic circle formed in front of his mouth.

"Sun Dragon Roar!" His roar was a combination of fire and light. It had a red and yellow color and it's very hot and fast. Ben's roar is nothing compared to a actual dragon roar, but it was still stronger than Wendy's attack.

BOOM*

Ben's blast ripped through Wendy's attack and destroyed it completely. The hybrid roar continued towards Wendy. But before it reached Wendy, Roubaul appeared in front of her and a magic circle formed in front of him. The magic circle was not straight, but leaned at a 45 degree angle.

"Reflector!" The reddish-yellow blast hit the magic circle and was redirected to the sky, then it was dispersed.

"So that's Ben nii-san's full powered roar attack. That's a very strong attack." Wendy noted.

"For a 10 year old that is." Roubaul commented.

"Is that really strong for a 10 year old?" Ben asked.

"Yeah, that's certainly above average, but it's not the best yet. There are many geniuses that can use stronger magic when they're 10, so you shouldn't be complacent boy!" Roubaul told him.

"I know. I never thought of myself as a genius because I get the feeling I will stop improving if I think like that. However, this sparring match didn't seem to be effective for either of us. How about you train with us, gramps? Wendy and me vs you?" Ben suggested.

"I agree with Ben nii-san." Wendy added.

"Hmm, it can improve your teamwork, so why not?" Roubaul mused.

Ben and Wendy then discuss a strategy to fight him.

"The old man is a lot stronger than us, so we shouldn't waste our magic power by executing strong attacks. We'll attack at close range with simple spells that don't require a lot of magic power. I'll be the main attacker, and you support me." Ben stated.

"Should I use Enchantment on you?" Wendy asked.

"No, save your magic power. This is only a sparring match, so use this chance to improve your fighting skills!" Ben shot her suggestion down.

"I understand." Wendy nodded.

They finished their discussion and then got ready on their side. Ben stood out front, while Wendy was at the rear. Roubaul deduced their strategy, but he was willing to play along. It was a chance to train them to become strong mages after all.

Roubaul gave the start signal and Ben rushed over to him. He covered his leg in yellow light and hand in red fire. This is just a basic spell that every mage used. This basic spell had different properties based on their element.

Ben used the light covering his leg to move faster. He used the fire on his hand to increase his attack power. Right now Ben was only able to use these 2 elements, but he learned a lot about these 2 and knew how to use them effectively.

Ben ran towards Roubaul at high speed and threw a flaming punch. Roubaul easily blocked his punch with a slap to the side. Ben then began attacking Roubaul with his martial arts. He used a combination of punches and kicks, powered by magic. He even tried to use grab sometimes, but Roubaul read his attacks and countered them.

Wendy also joined the fray by attacking Roubaul from behind and the sides. She attacked between the gap of Ben's attacks. He deliberately created gaps for Wendy to attack. He unleashed his own attack, while Wendy used hers to make it harder for Roubaul to counter, but the old man could still see it.

They kept sparring for a hour and Wendy eventually gave up. Then after 4 hours, Ben followed suit as his stamina was depleted and he fainted. Roubaul didn't even sweat after sparring for 4 hours and he still seemed to be full of energy.

"Ho ho ho, I still have it." Roubaul chuckled.
